Very good food and friendly staff.

We were there for lunch today and are super satisfied. Mega delicious food, great fish, friendly staff and the price was also justified! 👍🏼 We can highly recommend the restaurant!

We had dinner there today. Very friendly staff, very good food, short waiting time..Good menu. The inside of the restaurant is very nicely decorated. Dogs aren't allowed in, but you can have a nice view of the sea outside, so that's no problem.

We have been regular guests for almost 30 years (once or twice a year) Unfortunately that was the last time for dinner on October 16, 2024. The “Sassnitzer Pfannensprott” is only half as much, but has of course become more expensive. The service doesn't deserve the name. 2 stars because the food was OK, but nothing more.

This is our second time in the restaurant and we love it. We stumbled upon the restaurant completely by chance in 2022 and will probably come back whenever we are in the area. Lovely service, delicious and fresh food and a unique atmosphere! Be sure to reserve in advance as tables sell out quickly. Pro tip: drink the moor pear as a nightcap.😉

We only had dinner here. Reservation went well. Inviting and cozy from the outside and inside. Service friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great. You couldn't really taste the meat in Labskaus. The Viennese-style redfish fillet tasted very bland and was pretty much overcooked. Fried potatoes and beans okay, but overall very fatty. Too expensive considering the quality. There are other fish restaurants in the harbor (self-service) where the fish is served much better. It won't be a regular place for us.

We felt very comfortable. The service was super friendly. The apple strudel was very tasty and it is also worth mentioning that dogs are very welcome. We'd love to come back.

A very nice atmosphere. We have been coming to the Banquet of the Sea for two years now. The staff is very friendly and you can tell that they enjoy their work. The selection of fish dishes is very diverse and there is something for every taste. It has become our favorite location and once we are here we stop by almost every day because you are never disappointed.

We went there for dinner with our children today. Around 5:30 p.m., two tables were free for walk-in customers. We were pleased because the last time we went was three years ago, we were very impressed with both the ambience and the food and service. Unfortunately, this has not been confirmed today. I had a carrot ginger soup that tasted like ginger but nothing else. My daughter confirmed this. The fish solyanka didn't taste like fish, my husband said. My soup was twice as much, and as a non-fish eater I ordered vegetarian cauliflower Gdańsk style with potatoes. Some of it was half raw and had no salt in the cooking water. Ok, seasoning isn't a thing. But unfortunately the mass of brown butter on top didn't work at all. And I really love brown butter. Spices are missing. All in all, I think 21 euros is too much for too little performance. The sea view doesn't take away from that either. The cod fillet with tuna gratin was average but not nearly as good as back then. There were also bones that my husband choked on. Unfortunately we won't be coming back, at least for the time being. However, the service and the ambience were great!

If you want to eat very good food and good prices, you should definitely go here. The price-performance ratio is great. The presentation of the food is very attractive. The taste is convincing. I can only recommend this restaurant. The waiter was funny which definitely made the evening even more positive.

The review is about the restaurant. A true 5-star rating in all areas. Sassnitz panfish: incredibly tasty AND sufficient. The service was extremely professional AND friendly. And HEY PEOPLE, if it costs 3 to 5 euros more, THIS restaurant is definitely worth it.

I try to include a feast of the sea every time I stay in Sassnitz because I am always impressed by the quality of the food and the excellent service. I wasn't disappointed today either, it was great to dine here as always. Always happy, please keep it up. Very big cinema.

A restaurant is as good as its cuisine and the cuisine here is undeniably very good.  But that's only half the truth, because the discovery only becomes a unique experience for the guest when the waiter (even when stressed) creates the appropriate atmosphere. MR CEYLAN is such a picture-perfect waiter who serves us on a Friday evening in high season (at 30 degrees Celsius and the restaurant is full) as if we were his first and only guests. Very friendly staff, very patient and helpful. The shrimp skewer and the fish solyanka as a starter were just as good as the panfish and sprat pan. We were recommended the moir plum as a digestive - delicious

Our room was super clean, the furnishings and the ambience were maritime and cozy. We had a room with a large French window, which was very nice because we could ventilate well at night in the heat. The rooms are quite noisy. Unfortunately, our bed was completely worn out and you were practically lying on the slatted frame, which was really not good. This urgently needs to be improved. The breakfast buffet was very good and we were able to have breakfast outside with a view of the sea.

We had dinner here. It's nice to sit outside with a view of the Baltic Sea. Courteous service. My wife and I had the fish platter for two people. An absolute dream, all types of fish were fried to perfection, well seasoned and, above all, the quantity was absolutely sufficient. Various side dishes and a salad complete the dish. The price-performance ratio is right here. We'd love to come back there. We cannot provide any information about the hotel.

Very tasty food, good address for fish and meat dishes. The plum cake was great! Nicely located on the promenade, nice staff. We'll be back!

I can only recommend everyone to go there. Very, very friendly staff, child-friendly and always willing to listen to the guests. Top advice about the card. Were there 4 years ago and we weren't disappointed. Nice location and nicely decorated. There is something on the menu for everyone, from large to small, with or without fish.

Basic clean room with view thru trees to water. We could have overlooked the negatives had staff been slightly friendlier. It was not a particularly charming, memorable stay. Somewhat dated in decor. Some smells and noise from restaurant below. Parking is 400m away and is somewhat expensive; 15€/day. While official check-out time is 11am (on our reservation), reception told us 10am and cleaning lady knocked exactly at 10am. No bottled drinking water in room which is quite standard across Germany. One pillow. Basic soap/shampoo - nothing more.

A must for every island visit, the best Labskaus and a Magnificent view of the sea

The food was quite good... but after the visit, most of the staff including the chef (recognizable by their clothing) were sitting right next to the house and smoking. It seems unprofessional to me that a restaurant should do something right next to the guest area in front of the door...

So far we've mostly liked it there, but on this visit we had to complain about the waiting times for service being far too long. During a visit a few days ago, I had to look for the responsible service person myself, who I was then able to locate in a break room. I hope that these were two negative exceptions. If things go like this again on my next visit, I will no longer be a guest at the Banquet of the Sea. It's a shame, actually...

The service is unfriendly and arrogant, it's a shame on the part of the store! Because of the rain you won't be served outside, but if you ask inside they say they'll be happy to sit down and the waiter will come straight away.

If you are looking for delicious and honest Baltic Sea food, you have come to the right place. It was very tasty and the service was also very nice.

We had the large fish pan for 2 people. Beautifully presented, it is a poem. Highly recommended. But you should be very hungry, because there are plenty of different fish variations and side dishes. The staff is very friendly. There is still one negative point: it's far too far away from where I live. ;-(

Since we were only there to eat, we can't comment on the rooms. As always, the food was great and plentiful. Price performance is also right. As always, the service is quick and they sometimes have a quick saying at the ready. It's just not that stiff. Come again

I ate there twice with my girlfriend within 5 days. A very beautiful outdoor area with a sea view and a lovingly furnished guest room definitely invite you to stay here. The selection of dishes is large and their combinations are very well thought out. There is also a selection for guests who don't like fish dishes. The service is very good, the waiters are always willing to answer questions and always have a funny saying on their lips. To sum up, we would always come back here.

We have been visiting the traditional restaurant every year since the 90s. The service has always been friendly, including this time. You can sit inside and outside. The menu hasn't changed much in the last few years, but that's not necessary. The selection is sufficient and the dishes are classic and well put together. Unfortunately, we have to point out that not only have prices risen in recent years, but quality has also suffered somewhat. The boiled potatoes are no longer freshly peeled, but rather the ready-peeled ones from the wholesaler with the firm outer skin. The same goes for the vegetables, they are not freshly peeled but only frozen goods (carrots and cauliflower were hard, peas were shriveled). Profit maximization seems to be the priority here. The fish was still tasty as ever. We found the points criticized unacceptable at prices of 25 to 28 euros per dish. At least the waiter took the criticism positively and wanted to pass on the feedback. The only hope is that people will row back to fresh products for all side dishes. Otherwise we will no longer be willing to pay 150 euros for a meal for four at the Banquet of the Sea.

We are regular guests in the restaurant, which we consider to be one of the best fish restaurants on Rügen. In addition to the excellent fish dishes, such as the fish solyanka as a starter, the schnitzels are also highly recommended. Especially if you're not a die-hard fish eater. My favorite here is the Danziger style schnitzel with cauliflower. That's how Grandma would have done it!

Delicious fish dishes, especially the Labskaus (at least as it has to be for me), good beer and very good (skilled or very well trained) friendly and quick-witted 😉 staff (who can also stand a bit of a joke). You can sit comfortably on the terrace and let your gaze wander over the Baltic Sea. When we are in Sassnitz, we always try to arrange a visit. Unfortunately I can't comment on the rooms.

The food tastes delicious, is served in a reasonably short time and the staff is extremely friendly. The view is great and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Great restaurant!

Food very tasty, everyone very friendly

Unfortunately all the vegetables were on the fish and that was it with crispy skin. If with skin, it should be crispy. It's a shame, at a price of €30, you can expect a little more.

Had food there and it was delicious. The selection of dishes is large. We decided on a cod. We can highly recommend this restaurant, which is located on the beach promenade. We'll definitely go there again.

...you can do something better with the food...

Being friendly is different. Yesterday evening shortly before 6 p.m. we went to the restaurant to eat as a slightly larger group (5 adults, 2 children). Despite the restaurant being quite full, there was still a free table visible from the door where we could all fit. Not quite entering the restaurant, we were rudely thrown out by the waitress with a disparaging look at the children. There would be no room for 7. When we asked about the free table, we were told that it would not be possible to make it available for us. Rarely have I felt so unwelcome. Children don't seem to be welcome here. We're definitely not coming back. A few meters further on we were warmly welcomed and had an excellent dinner.

Breakfast is a dream and very, very plentiful

5 stars are not enough here! The asparagus with the salmon is a delight! I haven't eaten something this good in a long time! Service was also really good!

After a long time we were back at the Sea Banquet and were usually very happy with the food, but this time we were disappointed, it was clear from the way the plates were laid out that there was a different cook in the kitchen and I think it was him needs a little help with the remuolade and he also needs to practice a bit with the beer batter. If I eat cod in beer batter then I would like a little more fish than just batter so no offense but the prices are just too exorbitant, the service was good, nice and friendly, we still had a few nice hours with friends.

Incredibly overpriced restaurant. Hotel not used. A mini fish solyanka for 7.90. A children's pasta for 12.90. That says it all. It doesn't help that the fish may be fresh. In Binz on the promenade you can eat better and cheaper. Never again.

What a hassle, we were already here with our dog. Only this time we were harshly expelled from the restaurant. And what does it say at the entrance? Water bowls! 2 pieces You probably don't need any sales here. It was also tasty in the mountains.

The food looked very good, but unfortunately we didn't like it. We had to burp constantly the next day, which was very uncomfortable. Otherwise cozy and typically furnished not far from the water.

I can't say anything about the hotel but the restaurant is great. Delicious fish dishes and huge portions. Price-performance is absolutely okay. It makes sense to reserve in advance. A side tip: Except for the fish dishes where there is a whole fish on the plate (trout or plaice), you can also order half a portion for each dish. It makes sense if you've already had a warm meal during the day 😉.

We were only here for dinner & it was just a great atmosphere and super delicious food. We haven't eaten such fresh fish for a long time and the schnitzel was also great. The location is great too, we will definitely visit again in daylight. We were also very satisfied with the service and had an overall successful dinner.

And for the sake of the dogs 🐕 it should also be made clearly visible. Or point out when making reservations that dogs are not allowed in. The less trouble you have. But I still recommend it.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend ohne Reservierung da und wurden zuerst abgewiesen. Ein sehr freundlicher Kellner kam herbei und sagte, dass in 5 Minuten ein Tisch frei sei. Die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung zog sich, trotz der vollen Hütte, durch den ganzen Abend. Ich habe selten so leckeren Fisch gegessen, sehr große Portionen! Mein Mann, ein Fisch-Vermeiderer, kam auch auf seine Kosten und bestellte ein Hamburger Schnitzel. Unser Sohn Pfannkuchen und ich hatte Dorsch mit Bratkartoffeln und Speck. Riesen Portionen und alle unglaublich lecker!
