A cozy restaurant with very good food, slightly higher priced, friendly service and a beautiful outdoor garden with a wonderful view of the landscape. I always like to go there

We were wedding guests at the Distlerhof and were completely thrilled. The staff was very friendly and super hard-working, the food was very good for both the eye and the palate, the location is particularly beautiful and we had a great view of the Moritzberg on the 2nd floor. We'll be back!

A unique location with a wonderful outdoor terrace and garden from which you can enjoy a wonderful view over the wide forests into the Franconian hills. The extensive menu leaves nothing to be desired, the dishes are excellently prepared, there are also unusual desserts such as homemade sorbet and homemade ice cream like the Raffaello banana ice cream with warm chocolate sauce. The interiors are very tastefully and comfortably furnished, the Distlerhof is just as suitable for a small excursion into the countryside as it is for a large family celebration. Staying at the Distlerhof is a true experience. You feel completely at home, for what reason The very friendly and attentive service contributes. We'll be back! It's also easy to reach by public transport from Nuremberg.

Amazing facilities, absolutely delicious food (I tried a little of all 4 dishes ordered at our table, and all tasted exquisite) and outstanding service!!! Would absolutely recommend it for special occasion celebrations, like weddings or round birthdays!

The service was consistently friendly and attentive. We were immediately warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The waiters were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to give us detailed recommendations. The atmosphere is friendly. The winter garden and terrace are particularly beautiful.

Simply outrageous! You ask for a room and after the lady explains that there is nothing left available, she simply hangs up. Maybe it's common in Germany but not here - you've lost me as a customer.

Very nice, classy restaurant with a great view of the beautiful surroundings from the well-kept garden. Staff friendly and accommodating. The food is Franconian and very tasty. Parking spaces directly in front of the entrance. Were very satisfied. Would love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Very crowded, very noisy, but the food was great.

The food tastes very good, looks beautifully presented, and the portion is very good for the price. The enjoyment and feel-good effect is diminished, due to the large number of plates, platters and bowls, and the space at the table is cramped. Older guests who take the plates because of the tables set up these days will definitely have problems because the dishes are very heavy, as is the fashion at the moment. It's definitely not easy for the staff either, you can see it in most of them.

Food very satisfied to recommend. Unfortunately we were sitting next to the dish drop-off, which wasn't nice because it was very loud.

Great location at the end of the street - so quiet. The room was sufficient for us two adults and two children. Bathroom modernly equipped. Only the water pressure was a bit low. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator in the room. We ate in the restaurant that evening. We ordered steamed vegetables for our little daughter. This was served at the table without decorum and without calculation. The cordon bleu with the potato salad tasted great and the burger was also good + the spaetzle for the other child was very tasty. The price is also absolutely right. For breakfast the next day we were missing toast (a toaster was available) + there were no milk alternatives (oat milk or similar). Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we weren't able to go to the playground. We will sleep there again in two weeks on our way home.

The entire hotel, the ambience and especially the staff were great. The reservation and check-in went smoothly. The room was very well furnished, the bathroom was modern and everything was clean. The dinner was excellent, the restaurant team friendly and accommodating. Likewise the breakfast, everything was there and tasted good. Big praise to the team at Hotel Distlerhof.

We always enjoy coming to the Distlerhof to eat. We celebrated our wedding there 5 years ago and spend every wedding anniversary there. Individual requests for special occasions are catered for. The food is always excellent and the service is also top. The ambience in the garden is unique.

The food and ambience were great, but the service left a lot to be desired. We were first brought to our table and then nothing happened for 45 minutes.

We celebrated our wedding at the distlerhof on June 15th, it was simply beautiful and everything was extremely organized. We and the guests felt very comfortable and that was also due to the man who was responsible for us. We were thrilled with Jucki, he took care of the well-being of our guests (including the little ones). Also a huge thank you to him again. We would eat and celebrate there again and again.

We were there to eat and look at the location wedding. Great location, large playground... Very nice winter garden and outdoor area. Unfortunately the date is not free. One thing wasn't so professional, But everyone feels differently, so I won't go into detail. The food was great, the service was super friendly, sometimes funny and quick. Very well organized.

Very nice hotel, great view, very tasty cuisine and very nice staff. Attention: Room 107 is directly above the kitchen and the extractor in the bathroom didn't work for us. A room on the 2nd or 3rd floor is best. Side to Moritzberg or towards Nuremberg, both beautiful. Closed on Monday, kitchen closed

It almost went wrong because despite emails and phone calls our reservation was messed up... But the weather was nice and so we got a table outside. So the organization could still be improved, but the food and surroundings were perfect!

We ate there as part of a family celebration. Without exception, everyone found their dishes there excellent. The Distlerhof is beautifully located. Certainly a wonderful location for weddings. I would especially like to mention the super nice employees, who still had a good time even in the hustle and bustle. And guests can be really stupid sometimes. The Distlerhof is a beautiful country inn of an exceptionally high standard. From the reservation to the menu selection to the celebration: hospitality is very important here. The food is excellent. I would particularly like to emphasize again the incredibly great, attentive and empathetic service. I would love to come back for celebrations.

We regularly come to the Distlerhof to eat when there is something to celebrate. We celebrated our wedding here in 2020. The food has impressed us every time and the atmosphere is nice and well-kept. The Distlerhof has the most beautiful garden far and wide. There is also a playground for the children.

Up until now I've only ever gone there to eat and I've always been thrilled and felt very comfortable?

It should be a romantic candle-light dinner for two for your wedding anniversary with appropriate table reservations. But this time the Distlerhof conference hotel thwarted him thoroughly. Two male-dominated, large conference groups from the trades (see vehicles!) gave large areas of the restaurant the ambience of a factory canteen, in which cell phone conversations were loud at the table and one could no longer understand one's own words. The staff was understandably stressed, often inattentive, occasionally even snappy and overall overwhelmed (very commendable exception: a waitress with a slightly Slavic tongue!). The pre-reserved “romantic table for two” was of course right next to the group of around 30+ men in the not very romantic winter garden. A table change was only granted upon insistence; the new table was a corner table in the cool but still quiet basement, directly under a ventilation opening through which the air flowed in. Overall, our waiter tried to be humorous, but he talked so animatedly with guests at one table that after at least two hours in the Distlerhof, we lost the desire for dessert at an advanced hour and gave the dessert menu back. The Distlerhof's high prices are reasonable - if everything is right: food quality, service and ambience. But yesterday only one of these criteria fit.

We had dinner. Service was quick if not particularly friendly. The food was good. However, the steak was half a slice of meat. Divided lengthwise. I don't think that's possible at a price of 27 euros.

Auch wir wollten es mal wissen, und haben den Distlerhof besucht. Ja, der Ausblick ist sehr schön, aber ob man deswegen ein Restaurant besucht ? Bei vielen Gästen hat man den Eindruck, dass es der Grund sein dürfte Das Essen kann es wohl nicht sein, wir sind enttäuscht. Die Karte viel zu groß, wir lieben es eher weniger, dafür aber alles frisch und lecker. Unser subjektiver Eindruck war, dass man den Geschmacksverstärker beim Sauerbraten schon roch, ehe der Teller vor einem stand. Schade. Die Soße eher eine Art "Pampe", der Kloß gut, der Salat o.k. Typischer fränkischer Karpfen und Schnitzel am Nachbartisch sah lecker aus, wir hoffen, dass sie nicht ähnlich "verwürzt" waren, wie der Sauerbraten. Auf Grund der Größe des Restaurants empfingen wir es ehe wie der Besuch einer Kantine, als dass es einem Essgenuss gleich käme. Das Restaurant ist gut besucht, also wird es wohl niemanden stören unsere Kritik, schade, denn es gäbe Potential nach oben, um auch den anspruchsvollen Gast anzusprechen.

This restaurant is really great! There were 6 of us at the Distlerhof today. The staff was extremely courteous, attentive and friendly. It's nice to mention that we all got our chosen meals at the same time. Each and every one of us enjoyed the food very, very much. My tagliatelle with grilled salmon was delicious - I would say the best salmon I've had so far. My partner's onion roast was also a real taste experience for him. It's also worth taking a look at the dessert menu. The cheesecake was a real treat. Highly Recommended. We're sad that we don't live nearby.

Very good food and really nice attentive service

We were there today for Valentine's Day dinner and were surprised at the positive changes compared to our last visits [around 18 years ago], not only in terms of the look but also the food We had a table in the winter garden with Valentine's Day decorations. We recorded our impressions in the attached pictures. What was positive about the menu was that some dishes were also offered as senior portions upon request. as well as child-friendly names for children's meals. We will come more often. The staff is also friendly, polite and always good for a joke.

Really nice hotel, big parking in front and a really good restaurant. Rooms are big and clean.

The food is delicious and there are also children's meals (Spätzle with cream sauce, etc.) The Teganseeer Schnitzel with a side salad is particularly recommended.

I don't know of any other restaurant that offers such consistently good quality. We have been eating at Distlerhof regularly for over 10 years and it has ALWAYS tasted great.

Wir haben im Distlerhof Hochzeit gefeiert und waren durch und durch zufrieden. Wir hatten einen zügigen und frendlichen Service, leckeres Essen und eine professionelle Abwicklung. Ein kleines Minus war die Hochzeitssuite, hier handelt es sich lediglich um ein größeres Zimmer ohne Extras. Insgesamt waren wir aber sehr zufrieden.

Im großen und ganzen war es echt schön dort wir hatten einen tollen Abend! Das Personal war super und das Essen einfach nur klasse. Allerdings die Dame beim bezahlen war einfach genervt von was auch immer! Die Nacht war unruhig weil irgendwer die ganze Nacht rum gelaufen ist. Also schlafen war nicht wirklich möglich aber der Ausblick am frühen Morgen einfach klasse.

Wir waren am Samstag mit 30 Personen zu einem Geburtstag im Wintergarten zum Mittagessen. Wunderschönes Ambiente, sehr netter Empfang, schön eingedeckt. Toller, freundlicher und rascher Service. Wir hatten auf der Karte 6 verschiedene Gerichte, alles wurde quasi zeitgleich serviert, das zeigt, dass die Küche top organisiert ist (und das Lokal war im Übrigen ausgebucht). Geschmacklich alles ausgezeichnet, Schäufele, Zander, Sauerbraten, Veggie Burger etc. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Danke an das gesamte Team.

Im Hotel selbst haben wir noch nicht übernachtet, aber im Restaurant Distlerhof haben wir schon öfters gegessen und sind sowohl von der Location (Innen wie Außen), dem Service und der Küche sehr angetan. Das gesamte Team ist sehr bemüht und macht einen klasse Job. Das Essen ist sehr gut abgeschmeckt und von top Qualität. Klare Empfehlung, weiter so!

Schönes Restaurant mit gutem Essen aber... Selbst mit Reservierung steht man sich die Füße in den Bauch, weil kein Platz frei ist. Absolut schlecht geplant. Führungskräfte sollten vielleicht einmal nicht nur an den Profit denken.

Gutes Hotel. Essen ist super und Preis/Leistung top. Der Service ist leider verbesserungs würdig... Personal meistens nett und sehr freundlich, aber restlos überfordert. Die Zimmer zwar sauber, sind leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. 70ger Bus 80ger Flair. Hier sollte man DRINGEND erneuern. Auch im Restaurant kommt bei der grösstenteils antiquaren Einrichtung nicht so die richtige Gemütlichkeit auf. Wintergarten ist wiederum recht schön, toller Ausblick.

Sehr schönes Hotel, sehr gutes Essen

Sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Ein sehr gutes Frühstück gibt es im Wintergarten mit toller Aussicht. Das Restaurant hat eine tolle Karte die wohl keine Wünsche offen lässt.

Das Positive zuerst: Die Anlage ist sehr hell, freundlich und wohl auch relativ neu. Leider überschatteten einige Punkte diesen positiven Eindruck: An der Rezeption bei meiner Ankunft gähnende Leere. Trotz Kameraüberwachung dauerte es sieben Minuten, bis jemand kam und mich einchecken ließ. Um 22:00 schließen das Restaurant bzw. die Bar. Gegen den Durst soll dann ein Getränkeautomat helfen, der allerdings außer Betrieb ist. Glücklicherweise war abends im Restaurant wohl mehr los als geplant, so dass wir um kurz vor 23:00 noch ein Feierabendbier bekommen konnten. Dieses allerdings mussten wir auf unseren Zimmern einnehmen, da auch in der Lobby "Feierabend" gilt. Ab 24:00 ist dann offensichtlich kein Personal mehr im Haus, weswegen aus Sicherheitsgründen der Lift abgeschaltet wird. So etwas habe ich ehrlich gesagt noch nie erlebt 😁. Geschlafen habe ich in dem Bett ganz gut, allerdings hat mir beim Duschen am Morgen eine Seifenablage in der Dusche gefehlt. Zusammengefasst: Es ist in den Grundzügen ein wirklich schönes Haus. Leider stimmen die Details nicht.
