We spontaneously went out for dinner with friends today. Fantastic view, great atmosphere. The service was very friendly, and despite it being busy, the food and drinks arrived promptly. The food itself – peppered carp, pork shoulder, and sauerbraten – was cooked to perfection and a real treat. We'd love to come back! 💪

We celebrated our wedding at the Distlerhof and it was wonderful. The hotel is elegant, the food was delicious, and all the staff were friendly and professional. We had a fantastic celebration. There was no long wait for food or drinks. Our guests were also very happy with their rooms. We received excellent advice regarding menu planning and the overall schedule.

We went there for dinner. It was extremely crowded, although you can always find a parking spot outside. We did have to wait a while before we got our table. The staff was very friendly, as always. For our meal, we ordered red snapper fillet and the children had Spätzle. The fish was okay, but all four portions were a bit too spicy and burnt (they tasted slightly burnt). The Spätzle were overcooked, and the sauce and Spätzle were bland. Dessert was delicious. Overall, we had to wait a very long time for both the main course and dessert.

The restaurant is beautifully situated on the mountain. From the beautifully landscaped terrace, you have a wonderful view all the way to Nuremberg. Children can also have fun there. The food is very good and, given the quality, is worth the price. The prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance in the restaurant is very pleasant. However, reservations are recommended. They also offer bookings for weddings, baptisms, and conferences, among other events.

The service and food in the restaurant are simply excellent; there's really nothing to complain about. Plus, you have a wide selection of dishes to choose from. But if you have a gluten or wheat intolerance, you're in the wrong place and will find almost nothing on the menu. It's a shame they haven't addressed this yet! Considering what the Distlerhof has to offer, it's disappointing!

We were there for dinner and had a table in the "side room." The side room is quite large, and the noise level corresponds to that. However, there are better and nicer tables. The view from the terrace is absolutely beautiful. The waiters were quite stressed, which didn't create a sense of genuine hospitality. The food was excellent.

The Hotel Distler Hof is a wellness oasis, but only when there isn't a wedding taking place! Guests should definitely be made aware of this!! You can practically hear it throughout the entire hotel! Monday is a day of rest, so there's no breakfast, so be aware of that! You'll feel very comfortable there! The service staff are very friendly! Veronika Walther deserves special mention here! The food is excellent!

I was there with my family for an Italian evening. It was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere in the outdoor area was wonderful, with the beautifully set tables and the live music. The food was excellent.

After a sensational meal, we were massively disappointed by the service. After celebrating our wedding there and eating there several times, we wanted to redeem a voucher. Unfortunately, it was "only possible to print it" (which is completely pointless). The digital voucher, of course, has the same code and information as the printed version. A halfway decent service employee would have offered to print the voucher for us. What a shame about a culinary experience!

We had a wonderful evening at the Distlerhof Restaurant. The food was simply delicious! The quality was impeccable. Every dish was lovingly prepared and perfectly seasoned. I would especially like to highlight the tuna fillet, which was a true feast for the palate. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. In summary, I can highly recommend a visit to the restaurant.

We were here for a wedding. I can't comment on the rooms (I didn't stay overnight). Fantastic location. Magnificent view over the Nuremberg countryside. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The restaurant/hotel is located above the town, and it might be difficult to get up or down here in winter. The food and service were simply excellent and very attentive. The children's needs were also well taken care of and catered for.

My review from 6 years ago: We were invited to a wedding. Excellent food, very friendly staff, and a family-friendly atmosphere. The view of Nuremberg at night is a dream... Today we celebrated my wife's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. There were ten of us, and with the main course, dessert, and drinks, the prices were reasonable. We celebrated our wedding reception in the grand hall at the Distlerhof three weeks ago. We had looked at many locations beforehand and, after a very pleasant and professional conversation with Lisa Distler, finally decided on the Distlerhof. Lisa was a great contact person. She has a lot of experience and was able to make many decisions easier for us. She was always available and helpful. Despite the difficult weather conditions on our wedding day, we had a wonderful celebration thanks to the Distlerhof team. The champagne reception with appetizers was spontaneously held in the foyer, then the rain stopped, and we were able to enjoy some more of the program in the beautiful garden. We moved inside for coffee and cake, which was a different experience than planned, but the tables were perfectly set, and the wedding cake and pastries were beautifully presented. Later in the afternoon, our wedding party returned to the garden. There, you can take beautiful photos, enjoy the delicious Aperol Spritz, and take in the view. For dinner, we returned to the grand hall. Our almost 90 guests had plenty of space. The food was fantastic! Just as you'd expect from the Distlerhof! The dream service team, Martina and Costa, who accompanied us throughout the day, provided all of our guests with drinks in no time and practically read our every wish from our lips. We have them to thank for the absolutely smooth running of our wedding day. Despite all the spontaneous room changes and schedule changes due to the weather, Costa and Martina ensured that none of the guests noticed and everyone simply had a fantastic time. After a successful menu came the grand finale: a dessert buffet, including a sensational ice cream palace. Although a second wedding reception was taking place in the basement at the same time and the Distlerhof was otherwise operating as usual, we didn't notice anything. Martina and Costa demonstrated great sensitivity, for example, closing the hall doors during the speeches so that we were truly alone and undisturbed. The subsequent party went well. A table was moved out of the way, providing enough space for everyone to dance. Late in the evening, Costa showed us the Greek sirtaki, which we then danced together – a highlight. Later, our midnight snack was set up: a buffet. Even though we were all still full from the large portions at dinner, everyone helped themselves again because it tasted so good. We celebrated until about 2 a.m. The Distlerhof team took care of dismantling and cleaning the hall. We and some of our guests were able to stay overnight at the Distlerhof. The rooms are very nice. Modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, meticulously clean. The next morning, we were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast with our guests. Looking back, we are very, very happy to have chosen the Distlerhof as our location. A completely professional, friendly, highly competent, family-run hotel with excellent cuisine and service. Many, many thanks to Lisa Distler, Martina, Costa, and the entire team!

Conditionally, if you are not very demanding. Liver dumplings too dry, Klos could be looser. Roast was good. Too loud, waiter. Too loud inside.

The two of us had dinner at the Distler Hof restaurant. Unfortunately, the cappuccino I ordered only came after asking twice and over an hour. When ordering food, my wife forgot the side dish. Here too, complaints had to be made twice. This process took about 20 minutes, during which time the food became lukewarm. Our second drink order, which we would have liked to have with our meal, also took a very long time and when it came we had already finished eating in about 15 minutes. All in all, you can say that the location is very nice, our food was ok (unfortunately for my wife it wasn't that warm when the side dish finally arrived), but the service was really very bad in three cases.

After my great cousin’s baptism, we went there for a family gathering. The view was amazing, the location was so beautiful and the service staff was completely professional and kind! The food was fabulous - none of us had any complaints! Everything was perfect. We will definitely come back again!

In the winter garden, with a beautiful view, then a great breakfast! Coffee specialties, tea, juice, water, sausage, salmon, cheese, vegetables, jam, honey, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs... Everything your heart desires!

Upscale gastronomy with upscale dishes that are of outstanding quality. The kitchen fulfills special requests as far as possible. Ambiance suitable and nice, extremely clean. Prices adjusted for this type of gastronomy. Eating like grandma's in an upscale way, a lot of thought goes into bringing tried and tested things into the modern era, without inedible and unnecessary decorations, but at the same time offering the eye everything that stimulates the appetite even more. For every occasion, whether simply private, for family celebrations or in business, this gastronomy offers the right thing. For this reason you have to make a reservation because a spontaneous visit is rather difficult, which my description underlines.

All in all a successful visit to the restaurant! Great location, delicious food, reasonable prices and very friendly and motivated service, we are absolutely thrilled. My highlight was the coconut panacotta. The homemade lemonade is also very tasty and beautifully presented. The children's playground below the terrace is also great. I can only judge the restaurant. Our lunch today was really good. The pepper steak was fried to perfection and tasted a hit. The meat is tender and juicy, the sauce is creamy. The fries were also perfect. There was also a small side salad which was also very good. There was good coffee for dessert. The dining room with fireplace is also very inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive.

We ate in the restaurant and it was delicious! The menu is diverse, so there is sure to be something for every taste. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended. The view from the hotel is a dream when the weather is nice. In general, the surrounding area invites you to walk and linger.

My husband had made a reservation for a candlelight dinner. The candlelight dinner took place in the normal guest room, which in my opinion did not suit the occasion. I would have liked a quieter atmosphere. The menu was predetermined and did not suit my taste. After a long discussion, I got a vegan hamburger instead of risotto (I eat vegetarian ones). I'm really not particularly demanding, but I thought it was outrageous to be served a vegan hamburger for a candlelight dinner! The dinner was really expensive and what I got for it wasn't worth the money. The waiter with his constant "thumbs up" gesture was also quite annoying. I'm sorry ! The candlelight dinner is not recommended for vegetarians. My husband enjoyed his main course, he had steak.

Had dinner with the family on Christmas Day. The kitchen organization was poor. One main meal came 40 minutes before the others. An absurdity. When we asked the waiter, we served all the other dishes relatively quickly. Anja saved our Christmas dinner, put steam into the kitchen and put us in a good mood. Without Anja the shop would be lost. The quality of the food was 1a - but you still want things to go smoothly, especially at Christmas!

We went hiking today and wanted to have a coffee there. The man at the door said “not today”. When I asked why, the waiter said, “Just food today.” Ah… sales with us would probably be too low. Certainly also because we didn't drive in our Porsche. Oh well. Unfriendliness gets 1 ⭐️ No go

Exceptionally good service👍.. always eat well.. The winter salad is sooo leggy😋.. It's a bit off the road but worth every walk with a great view towards Nuremberg.. Above the roofs of the region 😊 in the summer the garden is a dream ☀️☀️☀️

We spent our Christmas party at the Distlerhof and were absolutely thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive and made sure we didn't miss anything. We have rarely experienced such great service – simply first class! The meal was a pleasure from start to finish: lovingly prepared, perfectly prepared and outstanding in taste. The festive decorations and the cozy atmosphere rounded off the evening perfectly. A big thank you to the entire team for this unforgettable evening. It was very delicious again...✨✨✨✨✨ Mulled wine on the terrace with a view of Nuremberg! From starters to dessert, everything is fresh and delicious! Service, family atmosphere and warm! Weekly menu that changes weekly, with great, selected seasonal dishes! Be sure to reserve!

Certainly a nice restaurant with friendly staff but absolutely not suitable for vegans. There is only one cruelty-free dish on the entire menu and when we asked in writing far in advance (it was as part of a Christmas party and not there voluntarily) there was not even an answer.

As always, worth a trip. Pre-Christmas decorations in front of and in the hotel and restaurant. We had reserved a spot in the winter garden, which is always recommended. We were at a birthday party at the Distlerhof on November 10th, 2024. The food was very tasty, both the starter, a Franconian holiday soup, and the main course for me was a Franconian carp, which tasted very good. The dessert variation was the highlight for me. Various chocolate mousses, a scoop of ice cream, crème brûlée, panna cotta with raspberry puree and fresh fruits. Our daughter (10 months) was also looked after more than well. The dumpling with sauce came in a children's plate, there was already children's cutlery at the table. During the starter, the waitress asked if she would also like soup. What I particularly note is the large changing table in the women's toilet (which unfortunately is often not available in restaurants, but it is here) as well as the diapers that have been laid out in case of emergency. The staff are extremely friendly and fond of children. We would love to come back!
