Very nice hotel and everyone very much friendly. The beds were comfortable (slept well), everything was wonderfully tidy and clean. In the winter garden, with a beautiful view, then a great breakfast! Coffee specialties, tea, juice, water, sausage, salmon, cheese, vegetables, jam, honey, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs... Everything your heart desires!

Very nice and professional staff, quiet location in the Nuremberg catchment area, great parking spaces (free!) regardless of the size of the car, very good food. Were at a family celebration in the hotel and also spent the night there.

Upscale gastronomy with upscale dishes that are of outstanding quality. The kitchen fulfills special requests as far as possible. Ambiance suitable and nice, extremely clean. Prices adjusted for this type of gastronomy. Eating like grandma's in an upscale way, a lot of thought goes into bringing tried and tested things into the modern era, without inedible and unnecessary decorations, but at the same time offering the eye everything that stimulates the appetite even more. For every occasion, whether simply private, for family celebrations or in business, this gastronomy offers the right thing. For this reason you have to make a reservation because a spontaneous visit is rather difficult, which my description underlines.

All in all a successful visit to the restaurant! Great location, delicious food, reasonable prices and very friendly and motivated service, we are absolutely thrilled. My highlight was the coconut panacotta. The homemade lemonade is also very tasty and beautifully presented. The children's playground below the terrace is also great. I can't say anything about the hotel because it wasn't used...

I can only judge the restaurant. Our lunch today was really good. The pepper steak was fried to perfection and tasted a hit. The meat is tender and juicy, the sauce is creamy. The fries were also perfect. There was also a small side salad which was also very good. There was good coffee for dessert. The dining room with fireplace is also very inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive.

We ate in the restaurant and it was delicious! The menu is diverse, so there is sure to be something for every taste. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended. The view from the hotel is a dream when the weather is nice. In general, the surrounding area invites you to walk and linger.

My husband had made a reservation for a candlelight dinner. The candlelight dinner took place in the normal guest room, which in my opinion did not suit the occasion. I would have liked a quieter atmosphere. The menu was predetermined and did not suit my taste. After a long discussion, I got a vegan hamburger instead of risotto (I eat vegetarian ones). I'm really not particularly demanding, but I thought it was outrageous to be served a vegan hamburger for a candlelight dinner! The dinner was really expensive and what I got for it wasn't worth the money. The waiter with his constant "thumbs up" gesture was also quite annoying. I'm sorry ! The candlelight dinner is not recommended for vegetarians. My husband enjoyed his main course, he had steak.

Had dinner with the family on Christmas Day. The kitchen organization was poor. One main meal came 40 minutes before the others. An absurdity. When we asked the waiter, we served all the other dishes relatively quickly. Anja saved our Christmas dinner, put steam into the kitchen and put us in a good mood. Without Anja the shop would be lost. The quality of the food was 1a - but you still want things to go smoothly, especially at Christmas!

We went hiking today and wanted to have a coffee there. The man at the door said “not today”. When I asked why, the waiter said, “Just food today.” Ah… sales with us would probably be too low. Certainly also because we didn't drive in our Porsche. Oh well. Unfriendliness gets 1 ⭐️ No go

We spent our Christmas party at the Distlerhof and were absolutely thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive and made sure we didn't miss anything. We have rarely experienced such great service – simply first class! The meal was a pleasure from start to finish: lovingly prepared, perfectly prepared and outstanding in taste. The festive decorations and the cozy atmosphere rounded off the evening perfectly. A big thank you to the entire team for this unforgettable evening. It was very delicious again...✨✨✨✨✨ Mulled wine on the terrace with a view of Nuremberg! From starters to dessert, everything is fresh and delicious! Service, family atmosphere and warm! Weekly menu that changes weekly, with great, selected seasonal dishes! Be sure to reserve!

Certainly a nice restaurant with friendly staff but absolutely not suitable for vegans. There is only one cruelty-free dish on the entire menu and when we asked in writing far in advance (it was as part of a Christmas party and not there voluntarily) there was not even an answer.

As always, worth a trip. Pre-Christmas decorations in front of and in the hotel and restaurant. We had reserved a spot in the winter garden, which is always recommended. The food was unique, the goose breast was cooked sous vide and the onion roast was brilliant. Take a look at my pictures and visit the Distlerhof. We were at a birthday party at the Distlerhof on November 10th, 2024. The food was very tasty, both the starter, a Franconian holiday soup, and the main course for me was a Franconian carp, which tasted very good. The dessert variation was the highlight for me. Various chocolate mousses, a scoop of ice cream, crème brûlée, panna cotta with raspberry puree and fresh fruits. Our daughter (10 months) was also looked after more than well. The dumpling with sauce came in a children's plate, there was already children's cutlery at the table. During the starter, the waitress asked if she would also like soup. What I particularly note is the large changing table in the women's toilet (which unfortunately is often not available in restaurants, but it is here) as well as the diapers that have been laid out in case of emergency. The staff are extremely friendly and fond of children. We would love to come back!

Very nicely located restaurant with a great garden, the rooms are very attractively decorated. The food was delicious and the waitresses were very friendly. All in all, it was a nice day to celebrate in the Distlerhof restaurant.

Delicious food and attentive service

The crusty roast I ordered was by far the worst I have ever had in a Franconian inn. Cartilage, fatty, and the crust itself had the consistency of a leather belt. I only give it 2 stars because the family rated other dishes as good.

We stayed at the Distlerhof for a few days at the end of October 2024. My mother, my girlfriend and I felt very comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and warm. The location is fantastically beautiful and Luna was also thrilled with the walks in the autumn forest. Of course the food is also excellent. Thanks to the entire team. You're great.

Wir durften gestern die goldene Hochzeit meiner Eltern hier feiern. Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend. Der Tisch im Wintergarten war toll gedeckt, wir konnten ihn noch etwas mit persönlichen Dekos aufhübschen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und für jeden war was dabei. Besonders hervorheben war allerdings „unser“ Kellner. Leider habe ich mir den Namen nicht geben lassen. Er war der Hammer. Super nett, zuvorkommend, humorvoll aber nie aufdringlich. Das findet man heutzutage selten. Vielen Dank nochmal für einen gelungenen Abend.

I've eaten here several times....every time everything was great: service, food....the atmosphere was very cozy, the price/performance ratio was simply top!!!

Value for money at a high level, very friendly staff and good food

We found the location for our wedding reception through research. Of all the locations we looked at and at which we ate, the Distlerhof stood out in every respect. Both in terms of the location itself, the food and the staff. During the conversation with Ms. Distler, we quickly noticed that she is someone who listens and mentally implements what has been said during the conversation. You can immediately feel the experience and competence here. Communication was sometimes a bit slow, but Ms. Distler was always there for us and calmly listened to our wishes, concerns and even one or two small problems, found a solution and implemented it accordingly. During our wedding reception in the large hall, the very friendly, always helpful and attentive, but never intrusive, staff were always on site. Even when it got late. We also particularly appreciated that the Distlerhof offers overnight accommodation. The rooms are very nice, modernly furnished and very clean. A lot of emphasis is placed on this, you can see and feel it. Finally, my wife, our guests and I would like to thank you very much for this very, very beautiful and perfectly arranged wedding celebration and the informal and uncomplicated communication with Ms. Distler and the entire Distlerhof team.

The restaurant used to be top-notch cuisine. Unfortunately now it's just expensive. Service has decreased. If you decide to visit, be sure to ask whether there is a private celebration (e.g. wedding) taking place at the same time. Then you should choose another time.

Great ambience, great location with a beautiful garden. The food was fantastic. Very friendly staff. We had a great birthday there. When the weather was nice we were even able to move into the garden without any problem.

Main reason for the three stars: The hotel rooms smell very strongly of "drain". So you should definitely leave the light on in the bathroom so that the fan runs and keep the bathroom door closed. Other hotel guests also reported this problem. You can also turn the cleanliness wheel. When you look in the corners or under the bed... Otherwise you can hardly complain. Dinner was good. The drinks too. Price performance is standard. Service is good. Nice staff. The breakfast offers a good standard. Coffee from a fully automatic machine, no portafilter machine. However, it should also be mentioned that at breakfast there were hardly any plates, bowls or especially cups that were really clean. At large celebrations the staff is very well coordinated and the food was very tasty.

Delicious food, friendly regular staff - some of whom we've known for a long time, good location - always worth a detour from the motorway. You can sit comfortably and dignified inside - but especially outside with a wonderful view, weather permitting ;-)

I was there with friends on September 5th. Eating in the restaurant, everything was very delicious, the service was quick, courteous and very nice, you felt very comfortable. The ambience invites you to linger and we were the last guests to say goodbye. I can only recommend this restaurant.

After we were seated, we had to wait almost half an hour before we could order. Then another half hour until the drinks came. It took over an hour after arrival for the food to arrive. That doesn't work at all. It was well attended, but not full. The garlic bread was charred in many places. I had some better fries at McDonalds. The portions are clear and the taste is average, sometimes bland. Nothing that justifies the price.

We were wedding guests at the Distlerhof and were completely thrilled. The staff was very friendly and super hard-working, the food was very good for both the eye and the palate, the location is particularly beautiful and we had a great view of the Moritzberg on the 2nd floor. We'll be back!

A unique location with a wonderful outdoor terrace and garden from which you can enjoy a wonderful view over the wide forests into the Franconian hills. The extensive menu leaves nothing to be desired, the dishes are excellently prepared, there are also unusual desserts such as homemade sorbet and homemade ice cream like the Raffaello banana ice cream with warm chocolate sauce. The interiors are very tastefully and comfortably furnished, the Distlerhof is just as suitable for a small excursion into the countryside as it is for a large family celebration. Staying at the Distlerhof is a true experience. You feel completely at home, for what reason The very friendly and attentive service contributes. We'll be back! It's also easy to reach by public transport from Nuremberg.

Amazing facilities, absolutely delicious food (I tried a little of all 4 dishes ordered at our table, and all tasted exquisite) and outstanding service!!! Would absolutely recommend it for special occasion celebrations, like weddings or round birthdays!

The service was consistently friendly and attentive. We were immediately warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The waiters were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to give us detailed recommendations. The atmosphere is friendly. The winter garden and terrace are particularly beautiful.

Simply outrageous! You ask for a room and after the lady explains that there is nothing left available, she simply hangs up. Maybe it's common in Germany but not here - you've lost me as a customer.

The food tastes very good, looks beautifully presented, and the portion is very good for the price. The enjoyment and feel-good effect is diminished, due to the large number of plates, platters and bowls, and the space at the table is cramped. Older guests who take the plates because of the tables set up these days will definitely have problems because the dishes are very heavy, as is the fashion at the moment. It's definitely not easy for the staff either, you can see it in most of them.

Great location at the end of the street - so quiet. The room was sufficient for us two adults and two children. Bathroom modernly equipped. Only the water pressure was a bit low. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator in the room. We ate in the restaurant that evening. We ordered steamed vegetables for our little daughter. This was served at the table without decorum and without calculation. The cordon bleu with the potato salad tasted great and the burger was also good + the spaetzle for the other child was very tasty. The price is also absolutely right. For breakfast the next day we were missing toast (a toaster was available) + there were no milk alternatives (oat milk or similar). Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we weren't able to go to the playground. We will sleep there again in two weeks on our way home.

We always enjoy coming to the Distlerhof to eat. We celebrated our wedding there 5 years ago and spend every wedding anniversary there. Individual requests for special occasions are catered for. The food is always excellent and the service is also top. The ambience in the garden is unique.

We celebrated our wedding at the distlerhof on June 15th, it was simply beautiful and everything was extremely organized. We and the guests felt very comfortable and that was also due to the man who was responsible for us. We were thrilled with Jucki, he took care of the well-being of our guests (including the little ones). Also a huge thank you to him again. We would eat and celebrate there again and again.

We were there to eat and look at the location wedding. Great location, large playground... Very nice winter garden and outdoor area. Unfortunately the date is not free. Very nice hotel, great view, very tasty cuisine and very nice staff. Attention: Room 107 is directly above the kitchen and the extractor in the bathroom didn't work for us. A room on the 2nd or 3rd floor is best. Side to Moritzberg or towards Nuremberg, both beautiful. Closed on Monday, kitchen closed

It almost went wrong because despite emails and phone calls our reservation was messed up... But the weather was nice and so we got a table outside. So the organization could still be improved, but the food and surroundings were perfect!

The Distlerhof is a beautiful country inn of an exceptionally high standard. From the reservation to the menu selection to the celebration: hospitality is very important here. The food is excellent. I would particularly like to emphasize again the incredibly great, attentive and empathetic service. I would love to come back for celebrations.

We regularly come to the Distlerhof to eat when there is something to celebrate. We celebrated our wedding here in 2020. The food has impressed us every time and the atmosphere is nice and well-kept. The Distlerhof has the most beautiful garden far and wide. There is also a playground for the children.

Up until now I've only ever gone there to eat and I've always been thrilled and felt very comfortable?

It should be a romantic candle-light dinner for two for your wedding anniversary with appropriate table reservations. But this time the Distlerhof conference hotel thwarted him thoroughly. Two male-dominated, large conference groups from the trades (see vehicles!) gave large areas of the restaurant the ambience of a factory canteen, in which cell phone conversations were loud at the table and one could no longer understand one's own words. The staff was understandably stressed, often inattentive, occasionally even snappy and overall overwhelmed (very commendable exception: a waitress with a slightly Slavic tongue!). The pre-reserved “romantic table for two” was of course right next to the group of around 30+ men in the not very romantic winter garden. A table change was only granted upon insistence; the new table was a corner table in the cool but still quiet basement, directly under a ventilation opening through which the air flowed in. Overall, our waiter tried to be humorous, but he talked so animatedly with guests at one table that after at least two hours in the Distlerhof, we lost the desire for dessert at an advanced hour and gave the dessert menu back. The Distlerhof's high prices are reasonable - if everything is right: food quality, service and ambience. But yesterday only one of these criteria fit.

We had dinner. Service was quick if not particularly friendly. The food was good. However, the steak was half a slice of meat. Divided lengthwise. I don't think that's possible at a price of 27 euros.
