We stayed for one night. The location was perfect near the highway, everything was clean, and the staff was friendly. The rooms weren't particularly large, but they did have a balcony. It was a great stopover while passing through.

A very nice place with lovely rooms and food. We stayed here for three nights and spent the day exploring the area. The rooms are modern and quiet, and above all, well-kept and clean, even if the showers are a bit small 😂 we still loved it. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was friendly. We would stay here again anytime.

Great place with air conditioned rooms on the outskirts of the town. 45 minute walk into town, or 5 minute drive. Fantastic daily breakfast. Dinner menu in restaurant is wonderfull but not open Sunday and Wednesday, but makes you go out and explore Alsfeld for more dining options. We stayed for 10 nights. Uwe and his staff are wonderfull and do anything to help make your stay more pleasurable.

Was there as a truck driver, shower everything was nice and the parking lot for trucks 🚚 was great and clean, MC and a small restaurant is there and the staff 👍🚛😎

Top location, room not particularly clean (but OK), breakfast not our favorite… They've been here three times already, the location is unbeatable…

We always stop here when we're on our way to Kassel or Hanover. You can use the restroom at McDonald's and get the full euro credit when ordering. There's also a KFC there.

We visited twice (on our outbound and return journeys). The rooms are small but nicely furnished and clean. In the evenings, the restaurant serves excellent food and drinks, and the service is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone, is plentiful, and really good. 👍 👍 👍

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a bitter disappointment – especially due to the completely unprofessional behavior at the reception. The receptionist was extremely unfriendly and practically ignored us, even though we had just arrived. He reacted rudely to our questions, was disrespectful, and simply left us standing there without a word of explanation or help. I've never experienced anything like this in a hotel before – and this from a service that should be the hotel's calling card. We felt completely unwelcome. The hotel itself may be fine, but the first impression was so negative that we couldn't associate the entire stay with anything but bad feelings. Definitely not a recommendation – there are plenty of alternatives with friendlier staff.

Only one star. The manager is simply awful. Arrogant, rude, and completely solution-oriented. I feel sorry for the employees!

Sehr freundliches und flexibles Personal. Hier ist es sehr sauber und Spielzeug für die Kinder ist auch reichhaltig vorhanden. Dadurch ist das Restaurant für uns nun schon mehrfach der Pausenort unserer Wahl geworden. (Im Gegensatz zum MC Donalds gegenüber mit unfreundlichem Personal.)

Hey everyone, Pfefferhöhe, finally a hotel where you can stay overnight if you're just passing through. After a full 1200 km, we were looking for a place to stay for the night. This hotel was right next to the highway, and we stopped there. We were surprised to receive such a warm welcome at the reception. The lady was very friendly and competent. Free parking right outside, which isn't a given these days. The rooms have free air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The rooms are very clean and functionally furnished. The entire complex and the hotel are very well maintained. The restaurant has modern decor, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Even the drinks you could buy there were much cheaper than at the gas station across the street. We highly recommend this hotel; you're in very good hands here. Always happy to be a guest We are regular guests and always feel completely at home at the Hotel Pfefferhöhe. The location directly off the highway is extremely convenient – ​​and the quality of the hotel in this surroundings makes it all the more pleasing. The hotel is well-maintained, the value for money is impressive, and the entire team is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant also offers excellent cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. Whether for an overnight stay or for small meetings – everything is harmonious and pleasant. We would be happy to come back!

A bit dated but otherwise fine.

No recommendation from here. We ate; schnitzel wiener Art and salad. Warmed up ready-made food - chicken and fries. The fries were not finished, no one dipped them. Ordered water without soda; got a warm one from the shelf, no ice. One star is given solely because of the service, the view and the clean toilets.

Hello everyone. Today we wanted to stay at a roadside hotel. Here's what happened!

Good hotel. Good bed. Shower a bit too small (old). Had a room with a balcony. KFC, McDonald's, and a gas station nearby. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and had a good selection (€17 for external guests, €9 for hotel guests). Very close to the highway, but we didn't hear anything about it. Very friendly staff.

Highly recommended for a one-night stay while passing through.

Let's make it short: rest stops aren't that great anyway, but Pfefferhöhe completely disappointed me - both in terms of the facilities and the tone. If I had wished for calmer and more constructive communication from management, the appearance was extremely irritating.

The hotel is clearly visible on a hill right next to the motorway and has a great view of the valley, but is very quiet despite its proximity to the motorway. For me, this was ideal for a one-night stopover. I had a small single room - my dog ​​was allowed to stay overnight with me. My room was modern and sensibly furnished. I slept very well. The evening before I ate in the restaurant, the food and service were very good - I can highly recommend it. In the morning there is an extensive buffet for breakfast, I found everything. I will be happy to come back.

I spent two nights in the hotel and, due to its location on the highway and the external appearance, I assumed it was more of a trucker hotel. But my expectations were clearly exceeded: everything was newly renovated, the rooms were very attractively renovated, and despite the proximity to the motorway, the rooms were absolutely quiet. I can only recommend the hotel. The only disadvantage: when I arrived, everything was closed, I had to make a phone call until someone opened the door so I could go to check in

A breakfast dream! I had breakfast with my guests in this slightly different restaurant on March 16th and I was absolutely thrilled. Everything was freshly prepared - the egg dishes with real eggs, the fruit salad was wonderfully fresh, and the pancakes were fluffy and perfectly baked. I particularly liked the variety: everything from cheese, sausage, jams, cereals and vegan spreads to crispy rolls, bread, croissants and sweet pieces was there. The selection of drinks also left nothing to be desired, coffee depending on your taste, tea in a caddy and fresh juices. The service was top: friendly, attentive and very warm. A perfect start to the day - I'll definitely be back!

Beautiful surroundings, nice place to stay.

Friendly welcome, beautiful room with terrace, clean... what more could you ask for? The only downside was the clean bathroom, but it was a bit dated, but there you go.

Good hotel with direct access to the motorway located on a hill. Nice view and soundproofed windows. Slept peacefully and had free parking in front of the hotel. Price performance very good. The restaurant in the house is also nice with a view. Hotel is carefully and beautifully renovated. Clean bathrooms, flat screen, TV, good beds.

We were at Romrod Castle as part of a networking event for DJs. That's why we DJs, service providers and manufacturers from all parts of Germany have come together. On behalf of the DJ Alliance with partners and members, we booked several rooms for around 25 - 30 people and stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The location right next to the motorway service station with all the fast food chains and a gas station surrounding it, combined with the first external appearance of the day, initially gave rise to some skepticism. However, it quickly became apparent that the motorway and the adjacent heavy transit traffic were hardly noticeable when entering the hotel. We were particularly surprised by the great panoramic restaurant and the modern, clean rooms. In addition to its very good price-performance ratio, the restaurant in question is also particularly notable for its very committed staff. Despite the prevailing staff shortage everywhere, the service staff were very quick, friendly and level-headed, even when the restaurant was at full capacity with just one person. Even a separate room for our spontaneous gathering of around 25 people on the first evening, despite the obvious challenge, did not pose an obstacle for the waiter to serve us appropriately. The quality of the cuisine once again surprised us very positively. At dusk, the attention to detail and atmosphere was evident both inside and outside. The whole building is comfortably lit and invites you to linger with a great view. I can well imagine that travelers passing through can enjoy real relaxation on their journey here. The breakfast is rich and also absolutely affordable in terms of price. In conclusion, we agree that we enjoyed our stay to the fullest and will return next year. The combination of location, value for money, service and ambience is nothing less than excellent. Thank you very much for the great time. I stayed at Pfefferhöhe for 3 nights at a trade fair in Romrod and I have to say that I wouldn't have expected from the outside what I experienced from the inside. Totally nice and courteous staff, nice, quiet rooms with full facilities. Very tasty food in the restaurant. Courteous service. So everything you could want for a short stay. The proximity to the motorway is also perfect, just 2 minutes. I can only recommend this hotel. I felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

I stayed at this hotel while at a Tradeshow. I had to send an emergency package which was huge in advance and the hotel accepted it and held it for me. They were very helpful and friendly. From their lovely patio area to their restaurant with a lovely view and good food (including a great breakfast) to the candy bar on the way up to the rooms. Very thoughtful and helpful and I would return for business purposes.

If you have to be in Alsfeld for an event in the Hessenhalle, this hotel is an excellent choice to stay. The rooms are small, but beautifully clean and very functionally furnished. I only had breakfast on location and although the choice is not very large, the quality is excellent, delicious fresh bacon and egg sandwiches, yogurt and fruit juice.

When I tried to check in, the operator came up to me and rudely asked if the car with trailer belonged to me. I said yes, it immediately came “you can’t stand there, what are you thinking?” I asked for a solution and other hotels have always found a solution so far. Then the theater started. "What I think, he doesn't believe that with the other hotels etc.". I wanted to cancel immediately because I didn't like the tone that was given to me and the lack of understanding of my situation. Instead of offering reasonable service and looking for solutions, I and my team were viewed as undesirable. I was then insulted as arrogant and that I wanted to blackmail him with whatever? It's unbelievable how drivers are treated in Germany. No wonder no one wants to do this work anymore. Without drivers, he wouldn't be able to run his hotel either. Thank you for your understanding and accommodation. Catastrophe. The only positive thing was the nice woman at the reception who canceled the room for me free of charge. My condolences to you for such a work environment. In Kirchheim near Hotel Eydt you are welcome as a transporter with a 12m team. A solution was immediately sought and found.

Rooms were fine. Breakfast was good and with a nice view. Staff was very friendly. Rooms (single rooms) are very small, especially the bathroom. Location is great if you want to take an overnight break on a trip. Otherwise, the location on the motorway and the rest stop means that sleeping with the window open or tilted is not possible. The service and breakfast are very good.

I found a Turkish black man in my food because only Turks work in the service, it's clear when it's appropriate. The branch manager was cheeky and uncooperative. I asked for my money or new food. What did I find in the new box? I only rate the restaurant here: We were just there and were very disappointed. Visually it looks good but the food wasn't good at all. Bread dumplings were soggy and the schnitzel was cheap frozen food from the deep fryer. Also cartilaginous and sinewy. When I told the waiter this, there was no apology and we had to pay the full price. Will definitely never come back and cannot recommend the restaurant

Direkt an der Autobahn so nicht erwartet. Haben für unsere Durchreise eine Übernachtung gebucht. Was soll ich sagen: TOP. Würden es sofort wieder nutzen. Trotz Autobahn ruhiges und sehr sauberes Zimmer. Gassirunde für den Hund ist über die Autobahnbrücke auf der gegenüberliegen- den Seite erreichbar, dafür ein top Rundweg. Eine etwas gar enge Dusche im Zimmer ist zwar eine Herausforderung aber es lässt sich arrangieren. Wir haben im dazugehörigen, hübschen Restaurant gut gegessen und eine überaus zuvorkommende, liebenswerte Bedienung gehabt. Danke dafür.

Hotel können wir nicht bewerten, da wir nur Frühstücken waren (Durchreise nach Hause vom Flughafen Frankfurt) Frühstück war sehr gut, verschiedene Brot und Brötchen Auswahl, guter Kaffee, sehr leckere Wurst und preislich hat es auch gepasst.

Im Restaurant gab es nichts zu essen, da kein Koch verfügbar war. Man bekam nur Getränke.

Leider habe ich hier keine guten Erfahrungen machen können. Trotz Ankündigung, dass ich etwas später anreise, lies man mich hier 20 Minuten vor der Tür in der Kälte stehen und dies, obwohl ich sogar früher als geplant noch in den normalen Check-In Zeiten eingetroffen bin. Es gab keine Entschuldigung, sondern man sagte mir, dass das Zimmer in anderen Hotels bereits wieder vergeben wäre und ich froh sein könnte, dass ich in diesem Hotel bleiben dürfe. Das Zimmer war solide und gut, das Frühstück in Ordnung.

super! Preis-Leistung Top. Das Hotel rockt vor allem durch sein durch und durch super freundliches Personal, vom Zimmermädchen bis hin zum Direktorenpaar. Ansonsten sehr sauber und gepflegt, gut gelegen (war alles im Zimmer sehr leise), tip top günstiges und leckeres Frühstück.... Wir kommen auf jeden Fall mit Freude wieder! PS: Haben auch mitbekommen wie der äußerst sympathische Direktor anderen Gästen spontan außerhalb des Hotels mit einer Autofahrt geholfen hat.

Bin nicht das erste mall hier und bis jetzt war alles ok. Zimmer sauber, Frühstück super, personal beim früstuck auch nett. Leider der "freundlicher" Herr an der Rezeption ist ein NO GO. Und egal ob beim telefonischen reservieren oder vor ort nett zu sein ist was anderes.

Das Hotel ist sehr einladend, die Rezeption sehr hell und schön eingerichtet. Sehr modern, am Abend ist es mit Lichter bestückt und sehr ruhig im Gang. Alles stimmig, zudem gemütlich. Die Zimmer modern und komfortabel mit Flachbildschirm eingerichtet, W-Lan, alles was man benötigt. Fön sowie Duschgel + Seife vorhanden. Mein Zimmer sehr sauber, mit Blick zur Autobahn, in der 1. Etage, tolle Aussicht. Bett war bequem, gut zum Schlafen. Preis Leistungsverhältnis super, Frühstück dabei, ab 6.00uhr. Top 👌🏽 lecker, frisch zubereitet alles was das Herz begehrt. Eignet sich auch sehr gut als zwischen stopp. Dort gibt es einen Casino, MC Donalds, Tankstelle ⛽️ wir hatten ein Meeting in Romrod, 3km entfernt. 15.11.2023
