Beer was excellent, food left much to be desired. Food was way too salty and apple pie did not have much flavour. Service was ok but waitress was in a rush. Only come here if you just want beer.

It's close to attractions, so it's perfect for a quick lunch. The service was fast, the food is delicious and plentiful, it's just fine.

*Bad experience.* We arrived at this bar/pub to join some friends who were already sitting. As soon as we arrived, we tried to figure out where to sit, but the staff...were rude for no reason!!! . When I asked the reason for such unprofessional behavior, the response was evasive and nonsensical. According to them they had to sit us in another part because there were too many of us but in reality other staff had authorized us to sit at that table!!! Maybe our Italian accent was annoying? A behavior that, frankly, has no justification. After experiencing this unpleasant situation, our friends and I decided to leave. I would like to point out that we are adult, polite and respectful people, and this treatment was unacceptable!!! Kudos to your rudeness

Ate there on a school tour with 40 students. Hard to do a meal for that many but they were efficient. Food was simple, but tasty. Potatoes, sauerkraut, and a small meatloaf (hamburger?) with gravy. Potatoes had no seasoning but the meat & gravy were a little on the salty side so when taken together it was perfect 😜 Portions were maybe on the smaller side but it was a tour meal and it was sufficient. Also a nice cheesecake for dessert.

There were 5 people eating there spontaneously at lunchtime without a reservation. Were kindly taken to a place. Drinks were taken quickly and came quite quickly. I had the roast pork with servette dumplings and sauerkraut. My feeling was mediocre, the taste of the food was, let's say, neutral. Personally, I found it lacking in spice. For me personally, the sauerkraut was “cooked to death” but tasted ok. But I found it too expensive for the price/performance ratio, but you also have to see where the restaurant is located, assuming that there is a lot of tourist traffic. I don't know if I would go again. But service was ok

Cheese spaetzle are bad. Just dry spaetzle with a piece of cheese in one place. No cream, no spices. Side salad with virtually no dressing (just cucumbers). Currywurst standard.

The food itself was good, the pork chops were very tasty and the vegetable bread was also very tasty. However, the cheese spaetzle are really something in themselves. Because they taste really intensely like mountain cheese. A friend of mine didn't like them at all. However, I found them completely OK. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and has a nice lounge area. What I found very unfortunate is that I waited around 1:45 for almost 2 hours for my food and that's stupid if you're hungry. But it could also be that we got it so late because the store was completely full

My waiter was very kind and helpful. I ordered the veal with mushroom sauce... Listen to me. ARE YOU LISTENING!?! IT WAS AMAZING! The veal was cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were crispy, which prevented them from becoming mushy in the sauce—just the right texture. The sauce itself was light and complementary to the dish. Most certainly a place to return to.

Awful service from bartender who was rude and dismissive

Food was good but our waiter was terrible. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting to pay while he kept coming to the table next to us and tending to them. Finally got him to stop so we could pay and leave and he requested a 3euro tip to be added. He only spoke to us to get our order and to pay, unlike the table next to us...that was also English speaking. I did tip but found the whole experience to be rude. None of the other restaurants treated us this way.

Except that you have to wait a bit for service because it's usually very busy - a very good restaurant around the corner from the Bundestag.

The people working there are super nice, they attend customers in a very friendly way and the food is delivered fast and its very good, bit overpriced for my mediterranian culture but you are literally Next to Brandeburgo gate and you can see the reichtag from the terrace

Stopped in the to have a late lunch service was very prompt but not really friendly, I ordered a wienerschnitzel and unfortunately the schnitzel itself was tasteless really no seasoning at all The salad was nice the potato salad but a bit overwhelmed by the red onion in the salad.

We miscalculated the price when there were three of us there. We could easily understand that we came up with a maximum of 10 beers. However, when billing we were charged for 15 beers. Every discussion was without any success. We ended up paying but will never drink here again

Recommended option near the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. We had spatzel and schnitzel and they were very good. The place is large but quite noisy. The price is somewhat high

The menu and ambience is typically Bavarian, not Berlin. Therefore it doesn't fit with my visit to Berlin. The taste was good, although some components were no longer as warm as I expected. During peak operation the downtime was obviously too long.

Delicious freshly tapped beer and an incredibly nice, accommodating bartender for whom special requests are no problem 😊. However, the prices are not exactly cheap due to the location.

I stopped here after a long walk in Berlin last summer and I had the best Wiener Snitzel in my life. The service was really fast and the waiters very nice. There is a wide variety of German beers, worth to try them, especially in a hot summer. The location is a big plus for this restaurant.

Hopfingerbrau Am Brandenburger Tor es un gran restaurante que siempre espero visitar en cualquier vacación que tome a esta fascinante ciudad. Situado junto a la Puerta de Brandenburgo, este restaurante es magnífico, con múltiples habitaciones, una decoración y mobiliario maravillosos y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este restaurante tanto dentro como fuera en su patio. Pedimos cervezas al Berliner Kindl Schultheiss Brauerei (cerveza Schultheiss ) , servidas frías heladas, nos relajamos y planeamos el día anterior mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Esta es una de las grandes marcas de cerveza de Berlín, de color dorado, crujiente, lúpulo y rebosante de sabor, muy fácil de beber especialmente cuando se sirve helado frío y espumoso como en este restaurante, no es de extrañar que este restaurante sea tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en estas buenas condiciones. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a aquí nos lo pasamos muy bien. Hopfingerbrau Am Brandenburger Tor es fácil de encontrar a lo largo de Ebertstraße. El horario de apertura es; De lunes a domingo, de 10 a 23 h. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

We stumbled across this place when we were heading to the Reichstag. We got the beer taster which was great and the food was traditionally German and delicious. Service was brilliant. All the staff were friendly and were clearly working very hard!! Highly recommended

the currywurst is really overpriced (13.9€) which compared to the couple euros on the street stands is really steep, but at least it was tasty! soft sausage and crispy, hot fries. potato soup could be skipped, no distinct or memorable flavour

We celebrated our Christmas party yesterday at the Hopfingerbräu at the Brandenburg Gate and were unfortunately disappointed overall. The location as well as the atmosphere and the service were not convincing. As a larger group, we naturally ordered different dishes, but the selection on the menu was quite limited. Personally, I chose the veal Wiener Schnitzel. For 24.50 euros I expected a dish that reflected quality and presentation - unfortunately that wasn't the case. The schnitzel was large and thinly pounded, but extremely greasy, as if it had been left in the deep fryer for too long. In addition, the schnitzel was placed on top of the potato salad, which made the salad unappetizing due to the fat. Unfortunately, the cranberries were also a disappointment: tasteless and obviously of poor quality – more of a bland jelly than a fruity companion. Details like these could enhance a dish, but were completely neglected here. The drinks like wheat, shandy and dark beer were okay, you can't go wrong with them. The long drinks, on the other hand, seemed more like a standard preparation and did not fit the position of a restaurant in such a privileged location directly at the Brandenburg Gate. Overall, one had the feeling that the quality was due to the flow of tourists that this location automatically attracts. For us as Berliners, however, this was the first and probably the last time we were here. The service also left a bad aftertaste, as motivation obviously waned towards the end of the day. In summary, the impression remains of a restaurant that markets its location well, but is neither convincing in terms of food nor service. We would have expected much more for the relatively high consumption value. There are two stars because it wasn't a complete disaster, but unfortunately that's not a recommendation.

Unbelievable. Shockingly and openly hostile female staff ( one senior, one junior). My friend and I were perfectly polite to two women who served us. I have been a waitress and my friend owned a very popular cafe so we well understand the importance of treating restaurant staff respectfully. However, we were utterly taken aback by the obvious impatience and almost sneering contempt displayed towards us. Even when we troubled to point out that we had only been charged for half of the 'split' bill we were not thanked. Get your currywurst absolutely anywhere else in Berlin.

I was there on a Saturday with two friends and unfortunately had to wait 30 minutes before we could place an order. The menu was thrown onto the table rather carelessly beforehand. After what felt like an hour, still without any drinks that we had previously ordered, we were asked again if we had already placed an order. When we tried to describe our situation, we turned away in the middle of a sentence. Personally, I don't go to this restaurant anymore.

Service and atmosphere quite nice, but could be improved, giving customers time to look at the menu would already be good, but the cuisine needs to be reviewed, unfortunately we should have read the description of the traditional tarte flambée, I don't know where you are getting it your recipe but a traditional tarte flambée is thick crème fraîche, bacon, onions and gruyere, no chives or I don't know what green thing was on top which spoiled all the taste and the cheese was also not not suitable.

The Currywurst was amazing and the Berliner weisse - Red, delicious.

The waitress didn't want to help me with how to do it the "right" way. I didn't get the money either and when I asked if you could make me a five-three, I asked four waitresses independently of each other and they all said they didn't have any change 🤣😅🙈 I asked how they give change to the guests here? ! When we were paying for the food, the waitress came to us three times because he thought we had given him the wrong price.

The prices are expensive but what else would you expect from a restaurant that is 200 meters away from the Brandenburg Gate. Good restaurant in a top location (between the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate) for tourist discoveries. There were four of us and we had various delicious main courses. Attentive quick service. Furnishings with lots of wood like in a Bavarian tavern. Reasonable prices. Reservation is recommended.

The service was absolutely not good. Employees very unmotivated. Instead of taking care of the guests, they just chatted with each other or were outside. (smoke break?) Ambiance is not like a brewery. Toilets were the dirtiest I've seen in years. Walls and trash cans haven't been cleaned in years. Really disgusting!!!

So the start was bumpy, the employee didn't really come to me motivated and was panting, no hello, no good evening. I still looked for a place. The reason was then quickly found. She was simply overwhelmed by the number of guests, completely understandable. The beer came quite quickly, as did the food. It was also okay, I had two pieces of roast pork, but unfortunately I got the end piece that wasn't quite as perfect as the other one. But otherwise super tasty and perfectly good value for money. Kaiserschmarrn was also okay, but I've eaten better. What I found a bit unfortunate about the brewery was that they didn't serve Pilsner from Bavaria or the Allgäu but rather Berliner Kindl. It's also good, but in my opinion it doesn't really fit in with a Bavarian-oriented concept. Price was okay for the location right at the Brandenburg Gate, I paid €34 (with tip) for half a beer, roast pork and Kaiserschmarn. What I would also like to note: There was a problem at the bar table, at some point the boss came and apologized (they had forgotten a schnitzel and the guest was right to complain). I thought the solution was fine, but I found it a bit of a shame that the complaint was dismissed. You could have simply helped the young waitress, she was all alone most of the time taking orders, serving drinks and food, clearing up and doing the billing. Of course everyone has a staff shortage, but then the managers have to come to me and show themselves... (Experience is not taken into account in the evaluation!)

Beiramus was amazing. I chose a dessert after a tour ended at the Brandenburg Gate as I wasn't overly hungry. My friends ate some of the other plates and said they were delicious. The menu is also in both German and English.

Service very nice. The pork knuckle has a soggy rind, the taste of hunger... Cold dumplings. Unfortunately, the other dishes were only lukewarm with little taste. I passed it on to the kitchen, who according to the waiter wasn't very happy. Very unfortunate.

We stopped here for dinner after exploring Berlin. The food was great and the beer even better! Lots of options to choose from including interesting mixed beers with banana or cola! Our waitress was kind and didn’t mind translating some things to English for us. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather with views all around us.

Although it is a restaurant for tourists and we didn't have a great time the first time, we went there a second time. We eat quite well. Table service needs improvement: some orders were lost. Pretzel ordered with the dishes and only arrived at the end of the meal after 3 reminders. Very low quality/price ratio.

Tavern charm at the Brandenburg Gate. With a nice, quiet courtyard. Here you can relax from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Food and drinks are pub standards with local color.

I am English so I know the crack caught the waitresses eye ordered my drinks they were their in 3 or 4 minutes, looked at other tourists sat down for at least 10minutes, counted at least 10 couples got up to leave,some stayed for at least 15 minutes,I ordered another beer before they got there's The manager has got to get his act together. The staff where running round like blue are flies. GET MORE STAFF you are loosing money

They were very busy with the football being on but there was no excuse for how disinterested and downright unhelpful the staff were. They seemed to give tables out randomly rather than by first come first served which was just rude, left very angry and will not be returning. Avoid!
