Nice, attentive service, super delicious food for fair prices!

The food tasted amazing but it wasnt packed suitably for delivery and the curry spilled and leaked out of the container into the bag and went everywhere :( the rice serving was also not specified and we over ordered - one container of rice serves at least 2 people.

We went for a family dinner yesterday evening. The waiter was perfectly pleasant but being a Sunday, it did feel as if things were a little perfunctory. The most baffling thing was why there was "chilli chicken"listed amongst the main courses without any mention that this is a Chinese dish!! Not what we were expecting in an Indian. food was nice enough but sadly nothing special and once we had been served with our random Indian/Chinese dinners, we didn't see the waiter again until we went to find them to pay. no additional drinks no chance to ask for anything else. All in all, a rather odd restaurant experience.

Honestly the food was decent but more importantly the staff’s behaviour towards the customers was truly astonishing. Rude behaviour and not giving cutlery when asked for. Extra plates and spoons as well as napkins were denied to be given when requested. They are the polar opposite of what Indian hospitality refers to.

Best Indian food I have ever eaten, the boss is very nice and down to earth, service is top notch. We had a meal for two (both good eaters) and were completely full. Everything you could wish for from a restaurant is fulfilled here. Price performance is very good.

The food was very, very tasty and the condition Mr. “Inder” (was actually given to us as his name) was also very accommodating. Price-performance is also great for Munich!

I was here today with my work colleagues. 1. Mango lassi was very sweet with too much sugar. That ruined the taste. But I still drank it for once. 2. Masala papad was very soggy and too salty. Papad is actually supposed to be crunchy. There were too many vegetables with more sauce on them. This is rather unusual. 3. Chai tasted more like milk and less like tea. 4. Main course Kadai Paneer was good. 5. We had to ask the operator to change the plates 3 times because we found leftover food and soap. At one point I can understand, it just happens. Next time I expect a clean plate to be picked up instead of a dirty one again. 6. Local is centrally located and there is a lot going on in the area. This is completely right.

The food and the service were a bit bland, the mango duck somehow tasted more Chinese than Indian, which is a shame

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurant in Munich, providing excellent traditional Indian flavors and experience at a very reasonable price. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about their offerings and were able to provide suggestions in English, German and Hindi/Urdu. 5 stars 🌟 all the way!!

Very tasty, fast and friendly service!

Holy Tikka is a culinary discovery! The food was absolutely delicious, with flavors perfectly matched. An extra surprise were the delicious sauces, something you don't often get in the Netherlands. The staff was super friendly and hospitable, making us feel welcome straight away. The freshness of the ingredients was clearly evident and the portions were generous. Moreover, it was absolutely value for money. Don't think, just go here! It's an experience you don't want to miss.

Excellent Indian food. The biryani was fabulous. The service was great. The staff spoke perfect German, English, and Indian. The wine was yummy too. Highly recommend if you're looking for something other than schnitzel!

Relatively cheap, but the food is mediocre at best and there is little choice. The waiter is unfriendly, dismissive, not warm and communicative, like in other Indian restaurants! You have the feeling of being annoying. It doesn't reflect the Indian spirituality, mythology and mentality in any way_modern bistro like cocktail bar. If you want to munch something quickly, ok but not for lovers of Indian culture and food!!!!🕉️namaste. Friendly 2 stars

YOU MUST VISIT THIS RESTAURANT. Think no more I absolutely loved it. Every time I go to an Indian restaurant I try the butter chicken and garlic naan. Believe me when I say that this restaurant was the best I've eaten in all of Munich so far. The butter chicken was tender, creamy and for once I could actually taste that the chicken pieces were also individually seasoned well, it had that sweet and tangy taste of butter chicken as it should be, the ingredients were well balanced and overall mega. The garlic naan was soft and flavorful, not just in the first 5 minutes it was served but it stayed that way until I finished. You can tell it was freshly prepared, unlike the frozen products. On a side note, most restaurants don't put much effort into the rice served as a side dish, so it tends to be of poor quality (overcooked/dry/undercooked), but this rice was nice and fluffy. The decor of the restaurant is well done and the bar is also well stocked. The location and outdoor seating area are good. The staff and waiters are super friendly and represent the true nature of our hospitality. I will definitely come again and bring my friends!

Not bad. I was a little apprehensive given some of the previous reviews, but the starter (fish pakora) was good, the lassi was fine and I enjoyed a chicken jalfrezi (spicy as requested). Service was fine and food arrived promptly. I think I can add this place to my (very small) list of Indian restaurants in Munich. That said, there is no 'Streetfood' on the menu, which is just typical German Indian. A bit more variety would get more stars.

Food was excellent, staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and organized. Made for a great way to end an enjoyable day in Munich. We will be back!

We love Holy Tikka, and visit at least once a month. They have lots of vegan options and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly. We feel lucky to live so close by so we can visit regularly!

The food is quite good, tried Kadahi paneer, dal tadka, tandoori roti, rice, mango lassi, and everything was as good as expected :) Really enjoyed.

The food was very good. Authentic flavors and very fresh chicken. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka. We can all recommend it! However, compared to other Indian restaurants in Munich, a few things were missing. Typically, Indian restaurants give guests small breads and sauces at the beginning. Here this was not the case. The other thing that was a little disappointing was the atmosphere. The restaurant is very dark and very quiet. If you are someone who gets uncomfortable very easily, this might not be the right place for you. However, overall the food was good, the service was good and the price was acceptable. This would be the perfect place to order food!

A wonderful meal at Holy Tikka. Fast and flavorful. The butter chicken was the best ever. Really friendly and efficient service. Made a reservation for a nice corner table waiting for us.

Unfortunately very disappointing. The vegetables come from a can, the rice tastes and smells of nothing. At least the lunch menu was very disappointing. No spices, no fresh herbs. You find a completely different level of colleagues all around.

The staff refused to serve us. He was extremely rude and did not care if we dined there. There are several other Indian restaurants in Munich. Stay away from this one. I would give this place zero stars if Google allowed that.

Unfortunately we walked out again after being offered a table in the cool entrance area. We wanted to eat and drink something, but unfortunately we weren't allowed to have another table when we asked, even though the restaurant was three-quarters empty. Apparently the restaurant doesn't need customers. I certainly won't go there again.

Interior unfortunately nothing special and felt a bit run down, but still clean and tidy. The food and service make up for the interior, we recommend butter chicken with naan bread, which is well known and traditional in India. Service was very accommodating. Amazing Indian food that I've ever had. Friendly and Smiley Service!

Furnishings: It is very simply furnished and you can tell that it is not very high quality furniture. Eat: It was okay and could have used more seasoning. Rice was ok but was only lukewarm when it came and therefore went cold quite quickly. Beverages: €4.40 for a juice spritzer that was very thinly mixed is already very high. Service: The waiter didn't know anything about the reservation and quickly pushed tables together. No additional place setting was provided for the seventh person, only upon request when the food was there. Spoken very quietly. Took one too many drinks. Waiting time for food was very long. Asked for new rice once. Came after we had finished eating and he simply stopped clearing the dishes. When the drinks were empty, we weren't asked if we would like anything else. There was simply no one coming anymore. Then we got up and went to the counter to pay after a long wait. At first we weren't even noticed when we stood there. We were then allowed to pay. Something was wrong on the bill too. Invoice was only issued upon request.

We had Veggie Pakora and Paneer Tikki. Both dishes have been freshly prepared and well seasoned. The salat and grilled veggies, which were part of the dish, had a good bite, which indicated the freshness.

kuhl eingerichtet. Essen auch und nicht sehr schmackhaft. Das einzige die gut war war die papadums und die waren Not kostenlos zum Getränke wie in anderen lokalen. Personal war aber nett. Ich geh nee wieder hin und meine Freunde auch nicht.

Excellent food, one of the best Indian food I’ve had in Germany. The ambience too is commendable as it has a very relaxing and calming effect on the being and the service and hospitality is wonderful. Overall, it’s definitely a place where I would love to eat again a multitude times and if some friend asks me about a good Indian restaurant in Munich I would definitely add this to my list of suggestions to them.

Unglaubliches gutes , authentisches Indisches Essen bekommt man im Holy Tikka. In meinen Augen , das beste Indische Restaurant der Stadt . Jeder sollte hier vorbeischauen . Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Inder Paji ist sehr sympathisch und höflich .

Selten so gut indisch gegessen! Leckeres streetfood, vor allem die Tikka Gerichte!

Zunächst das positive: Das Essen war gut... ABER!!! Nachdem wir hier schon gut eine halbe Stunde warten mussten, um überhaupt nur zu bestellen wurden wir im Anschluss für über eine Stunde komplett ignoriert. Die Getränke kamen an, aber das nicht Mal vollständig. Was am Ende nicht dazu geführt hat, dass das fehlende Getränk am Ende nicht dennoch abkassiert wurde. Erst nachdem andere Gäste ihr essen bekamen, obwohl sie erst lange nach uns ankamen reklamierte ich unsere lange Wartezeit. Etwa 15 Minuten später kam dann endlich das Essen... Mit gerade Mal einer Schale Reis für 4 Erwachsene.... Ich war dann so frei direkt nach einer weiteren zu fragen, bevor wir wieder lange warten hätten müssen... Man kann indischen Restaurants, aber diesem hier im speziellen nur dringend dazu raten lieber öfter nach ihren Gästen zu sehen... Das holy tikka kann ich so leider nicht empfehlen.

Okay so I normally don’t take the effort to leave reviews for places that are average, but I feel like tonnes of people are recommending this place so as an Indian, I just want to throw in my 2 cents! It could be that the place was just having an off day, but I can’t imagine food being below average suddenly. Firstly, the service isn’t great. The staff are indifferent, at the very least. They missed a bunch of things that we ordered and made quite some recommendations that were completely opposite to what we asked. The waiter barely paid attention to anything we asked about. This is not to say that anyone was rude or misbehaved, it was just a cloud of indifference I’ve never felt in any other restaurant in Munich. Secondly, the food is really really over-rated. The tandoori grilled food seemed nicer but we didn’t try all of them so I can’t speak for it. The curries are much below average. Thirdly, there’s no “Indian streetfood” on the menu. I don’t know why it’s in the name. It’s a limited and standard “European Indian restaurant” menu. I do feel like it’s completely okay to overlook quality of service if the food is above average. I’m not fully sure how the ratings for this place are this good, I went there with much higher expectations after seeing the Google ratings, and also getting recommendations from friends, and was massively let down! :(

Really like this quaint little place in my favorite part of town. The service is really good and their samosas are a must have for starters. The cream sauce dishes are a bit too sweet for my liking so I would avoid those. Anything with a tomato and spice base would be a safe choice.

Decent ambience, nice waiters. The seasoning is good, but not very good. Most importantly, the lamb was hard and dry, like leathery chewy. Quite gross. My friend had the butter chicken and also felt the meat was dry, probably been cooked before. Quite disappointing.

Nice food and very nice service!! Had some issues with a coupon but the waiter tried everything to solve the problem. We also had som extra rice which wasnt on the receipt later... the mango lassi is very nice!!

Tandoori section is very authentic. Tastes good even without mentioning to make it spicy. Masala added to Indian Standards. Tandoori Chicken and Chana Masala is a must-try. Funiture and cutlery standards can be improved.

We were served delicious food by a very friendly waiter. Both good service and good food (we loved the Paneer) at a reasonable price is a rarity these days, which is why I truly recommend a visit.
