Event manager beware: service is subpar, the manager is not a good empathetic host, in no way meets the standards of the Favorite Parkhotel Mainz. As a wine club (collegium-vini.de), we had booked an overall event around the wine tasting "Great Wine Capitals of the World" as a central component. It was only upon arrival that we found out that the booked presenter was not available and that a replacement could not be found. Information at least the day before would have helped us. Without the moderation, the experience was significantly compromised as we lacked background knowledge about the wines. The professional management and interactivity of the event was completely eliminated. Myself and members of the club had to take over the moderation, which significantly limited our ability to enjoy the wine tasting in a relaxed manner. What made matters worse was that the wines first had to be searched for in the depths of the cellar - no preparation whatsoever... I can NOT recommend the Hofgut Laubenheimer Höhe as an event location for sophisticated events.

We were at the ice rink, quite busy on the weekend.

Hatten eine Gans für 130 Euro zu viert. Klöse, Rotkraut und Soße waren Ok. Die Gans mussten wir zu 70 % zurück gehen lassen, da sie zweimal getötet worden ist. Trocken wie eine Schuhsohle. Die sprachen die Bedingung darauf an und bekamen als Entschädigung einen Kurzen für 4 Personen !!!!!!! Das war für uns das erste und letzte mal das wir hier essen waren. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Went there with the kids to go ice skating. You can save yourself completely. Ice resembles a blanket of snow and is not smooth at all. Also not watered during the day. The skates we rented had completely round blades. But it's no wonder when people walk across the paved courtyard with them. A lot of money is taken for nothing here. It's a shame, because the view is really great and the farm itself is a nice spot.

Nice ambience with a view of Frankfurt. Unfortunately, not particularly good service, not very attentive and uninspired. It's a shame, maybe we picked the wrong day.

A fantastically located restaurant with stylish furnishings, especially the part with old natural wood is particularly homely. The menu is clear, sufficient and particularly promising with an emphasis on German. In addition to the usual drinks, there is an attractive repertoire of renowned local wines. All the dishes were tasty and so plentiful that after the starter and main course there was no room for dessert. The service was also courteous and professionally friendly. What are the deductions for: The main parking lot inside the ensemble needs to be reworked; you don't want to have to pass through puddles with a well-maintained car or appropriate footwear. The service wasn't always on point, and occasionally you had to do something yourself. While all dishes were generally plentiful enough, there could have been a little more of the winter cod. When paying, there was probably a discussion at the next table about how the tip could be integrated into the card payment. It should be emphasized that none of these are real defects that should deter you from visiting, but if the restaurant makes a premium price claim, visitors should be prepared that this will not be fully met. Recommendation: Go and enjoy your visit - it probably won't be your last!

The atmosphere is really nice, although the Christmas decorations were still up at the end of January. The service was a disaster, lots of staff but no quality. For the price of the drinks and food you would expect more.

It's beautiful, but unfortunately the small Advent market is very disorganized. They offer a very wide food and drink menu, which is good in itself. But in order to offer a lot of food, the staff should also be planned and coordinated accordingly. We had to wait in line for 20 minutes to be able to order. Then we had to queue for an hour to get two bratwursts... How can that be? There were maybe 10 people in front of us... Plus there were three of the staff? How can that be? They didn't even hurry... It was a disastrous day...

Pleasant atmosphere, very courteous service. A spectacular panorama with a view of the Frankfurt skyline. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is also good.

Today we went to the ice rink after a walk for a walk to have a drink. At first there was no service at the counter - a young man then took another order. Then an older colleague came and whispered at the young man. He came to me and told me in a tone that I could probably order now. So I ordered what was offered on the menu in front of me. I could barely speak before he ripped the card off the counter and told me in a very unfriendly tone that the card wasn't valid. Only what is next to it on the board. Almost speechless, I ordered eggnog...we didn't have it at the moment, it came out of his mouth again in a very unfriendly manner. We drank 2 Lumumba and ate a pretzel. Unfortunately the Lumumba wasn't that tasty and was very watery. The ice rink was also watery, the children who fell there were all soaking wet. Unfortunately, price performance and customer orientation do not go together here. It's a shame for such a great location.

The ice rink is great. The mulled wine and the fries don't work at all, please fix this and it'll be perfect.

A really nice location – that’s what everyone else seemed to think on Sunday. Luckily there were plenty of parking spaces, but there were fewer free meters between us and the other visitors. Our plan was simple: waffles and mulled wine. The line for the rink was impressive, but nothing compared to the line for snacks. We thought the wait was manageable. Spoiler: she wasn't. An hour in line - and it wasn't for the new iPhone, but for a waffle. We strategically drank the mulled wine in line before it got cold. Also an experience! The staff was obviously trying hard, but unfortunately their numbers were not prepared for the hungry crowd. Conclusion: waffle okay, mulled wine delicious, waiting time Olympic.

Obviously, a nice place doesn't mean good food and certainly doesn't justify the exorbitantly high prices that what was served in any way. The Wienerschnitzel for €39 had a maximum of 100g of meat, but included 200g of breading. We often go out to eat, but this was by far the worst in terms of price and performance.

I was there on Boxing Day! Pure horror! Far too few staff! Queued for 10 minutes to pay, then waited 15 minutes for the drinks and then the third wait followed by a wait of 45 minutes for 2 sausages in a roll! Totally inappropriate for such an establishment! The store has real potential but is being run completely wrong!

The food was good, the service was okay. The ambience was okay, the toilets in the men's area were mostly broken.

My meal, my supposed rump steak, which was a hip steak, cost 36 euros and was hard to chew. The prices are very high with very poor quality. Don't get me wrong; I like to spend more; but then expect something better. A bottle of water 0.75l 9.50 euros, a wine 9 and a shandy 6.50. But thank God at least you can't go wrong with the taste and quality. The staff listless; sits at the entrance and only speaks to the guest and only gets up when spoken to. The 8 of us all sit at the table with empty glasses and the waiter doesn't even ask if we would like something else to drink or dessert. The only great thing about it is the ambience. But that's no reason for me to go there again. In order to pay this price a second time, everything has to be right. It was 65 km from us. Around the corner from us, the rump steak costs 19.50 euros and that's 10 times better. That's just annoying

We were there yesterday with the family and wanted to go ice skating. After a while we got shoes and were able to get on the track. The shoes were all in such bad condition that we had to stop after a few minutes. €32 was thrown out the window and the rental company said he couldn't do anything about it because he didn't have a grinder. A weak statement for a store in this format.

The winter world was very disappointing. We were there on a Saturday. We had to queue forever to pay for entry and skate rental. One person alone had to take care of entry, rental and return. There were far too many people there. Ice skating wasn't actually possible. Since we had to wait forever in line for drinks, we lost interest. After a short time, the 13-year-old boys no longer wanted to go. Unfortunately there is probably nothing to lock up your valuables. We won't be coming back

We were guests for lunch at lunchtime. There aren't many other good options in the area. The service was good, the food was OK but nothing special. The ambience is very good. The price-performance ratio is very poor: a bottle of still water 9.50 euros, the espresso 3.60 or a glass of Chardonnay from a liter bottle (purchase price 6.50 a liter) for 9.50 euros a glass - wow factor 7! I find that to be inappropriate - even if we would certainly be prepared to pay a little more than usual for the Ambiente.

We went to brunch on Christmas Day. It was a catastrophe, the table seemed to have been allocated twice, the waiting time for seating was 1.5 hours. Then the table was also set up between the guests who were already sitting, so that they could hardly get through. Then the table was covered with dirty food and partly wet tablecloth, simply an impudence. This was only changed at our insistence. No offer of compensation or nice guests to make amends. We will no longer enter this location and cannot also do not recommend to other guests.

Nice atmosphere, the service staff are attentive and friendly. We went there twice for brunch and goose dinner! There are enough parking spaces and in winter the ice skating rink is of course fun for everyone!

Die Eisbahn soll bis 22:30 Uhr geöffnet sein. Wir kamen um 20:30 Uhr an der erste Eindruck war etwas verwahrlost. Überall Pfützen und die Tische voller Wasser. Service hinter der Theke war kaum vorhanden an. Ein junger Mann, der nichts wusste und bei allem fragen musste. Es gab kein Wasser, keine Milch kein Kakao, kein Lumumba. Der Glühwein war lauwarm. Aperol Spritz ohne Strohhalm und mit seltsamen Mischungsverhältnis. Ab 21:00 Uhr war die Kasse abgeschlossen. Um 21:30 Uhr gingen die Rollläden runter. Das soll wohl heißen wir sollen gehen. Ich glaube das sparen wir uns das nächste Mal.

Last week we were in the so-called "winter world". Ok, the rink is fine. Otherwise everything was very dingy. Tables dirty with food, things on the floor didn't look any different. No table was cleared. Heated huts are advertised. None of the heaters worked. I paid €8 for a very thin, lukewarm cocoa and a chocolate donut. Of that, €4 for the cocoa and a whopping €4 for a donut, which was the cheapest frozen product from the metro! We discovered another great thing on the menu... 60€ for a box of Bitburger!!!??? We always enjoyed coming here in the winter, but we probably won't do it again in the future! There is only rip-off going on here! Too bad!

We were there with our children to try out the ice skating rink. A great experience for the children. The Hofgut Restaurant looks beautiful. Very high quality. The cleanliness around the ice rink was negative. The tables were not wiped. There was rubbish from the day before on the floor. The food service was also negative. People's eyes glazed over when they weren't exactly fries they had ordered. Children were complained about when they stood at the food counter but forgot to pay at the checkout beforehand. Parents with paid meal vouchers were very unkindly asked to hand them in quickly. The cups that were returned were thrown into the boxes. (all from one person) I think if you work in service and (which can sometimes happen) you're not in the mood, you shouldn't let your customers know that. I also found the number of visitors manageable.

Unfortunately it was completely overcrowded on a Sunday. The children still had fun

The Hofgut Laubenheimer Höhe lives from its ambience, namely the beautiful winter world. The interior is lovingly decorated and there is even a fireplace. And outside there are ice rinks for ice skating and curling, as well as mulled wine stands, etc. So you can immerse yourself in a few hours of winter adventure. The food and service in the restaurant are very good. Of course it may be a little more expensive than elsewhere, but I'm happy to pay that for this atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere, good service, the food was perfect. Next time I will come during the day because the view must be impressive. I'm just wondering whether I should really send this text, because then I'll contribute to the fact that I might not get a place next time.... ;-)

There has never been an all-round successful visit here.

Yard very nice and the ice rink too. But the service for the ice skates was overwhelmed and said twice that he had to clean up until he found the right shoes. Then you want to eat something and are told that some things are already empty and it's not even 7 p.m. And in my opinion the drinks and food are also overpriced.

Everything in itself is great! But lighting in the parking lot would be nice.

New Year's Eve party with band and buffet. The staff tried very hard, but noticeably only temporary staff, so the briefing was sometimes missing. The appetizer was already there when we entered, like that that I didn't know whose jacket or bacteria was already on it. At an event in this price range, I would have expected a bar that goes beyond Jacky Cola and Ramazzotti. No brandy, no whiskey, just simple cocktails. Still a nice evening.

Great ambience and delicious food. The employees were very nice. The dessert buffet was sad. The chocolate cakes weren't tasty and the glasses were just sweet. Next year please make plain pudding as vanilla and chocolate and Jell-O. Anyone can do it and it tastes good.

Winter World: Today we had to wait in line for half an hour to get tickets for ice skating (even though there were only about 10 families in front of us). Unfortunately, the queue was not divided into 1) tickets including skate rental and 2) tickets only. When we went late afternoon the line was twice as long. I can't even imagine how long people had to wait. It would also be great if there was more seating to make it easier to put on and take off your skates. More staff (just like in the catering area/long waiting times here too) would also have been helpful. Otherwise nice location, good view (if the weather cooperates).

The table was unclean, the drinks were no longer fresh, and two dishes were unavailable at 6:00 p.m. Ketchup was also out of stock. We had to get this ourselves from the in-house ice skating rink as it was not possible for the waiters to provide it. Managing director Mr. Üzüm apologized after our conversation with a drink; When we paid we discovered that he hadn't charged for the drinks. My family and I would like to thank Mr. Üzüm for this.

The last Christmas brunch unfortunately had a catastrophic price/performance ratio (2018) In the meantime it was a little better again, but unfortunately this year (2024) it was nothing again. The selection of breakfast and cold dishes was very limited, but there were enough main courses to choose from. There was nothing directly labeled and the table was far too small for 8 people. The taste was OK, nothing more. But the quality of the food was sometimes catastrophic. The goose meat (which had just been brought in fresh) was extremely firm and extremely dry - as if it had been sitting for two days and had just been warmed up a bit. The roast beef was also very dry. All hot things eaten at our table were more cold than warm. Desserts were only available from 1:45 p.m. If you didn't have that much time, you got nothing. Sorry, something like that doesn't work. Staff friendly, but could be much more attentive. We constantly had to wave someone over to clean up. Mass processing was carried out here and attempts were made to keep the price low. 65€ per person for an all-inclusive brunch is already cheap, but it's of no use to me if the quality and space for comfort aren't there. I'd rather pay €20-30 more per person, but I'm happy with it. This was once again really bad and we were definitely here for the last time. It's really a shame because the location up there is actually very nice. I could write more details and more, but that's beyond the scope.

Brunch was disappointing for the price. Far too many people, bad service (which is not the fault of the service, but rather the organization), loud music and poor quality food for the price.

When we visited, the ice rink was under water and had several holes. The skates were also very dull. The runners need to be sanded. The children quickly lost interest in the events and you pay quite a bit for the rental and the entrance fee. The prices for the food are also not reasonable. Charging 6.50 euros for a waffle with powdered sugar is quite steep.

This year we booked the Christmas brunch at the Hofgut. This costs €65 per person and our expectations were accordingly. But we were very disappointed. With an estimated 400 other people, the hall was completely overcrowded and overheated. The staff was therefore overwhelmed. Plates and glasses were dirty and the food was lukewarm at most. There was actually no service. You had to walk to the bar yourself for every bottle of water. Since there was apparently no collection on that day, the entire amount was invoiced at the end of November. I don't think such an early advance payment without prior information is appropriate. We will no longer book the Laubenheimer Höhe in the future.

We had Christmas brunch today and it was an absolute disaster. The service was poor, the food was cold and it was very chaotic. Our friends' reservation was forgotten and they had to wait more than an hour for their table to be ready. Never again and not recommended.

Been invited there for the third time... Bad as always. What was even worse: the ice rink was more like a bumpy swimming pool. We wanted our money back, the poor employees had to go to the manager and told us that he was "now angry" - LOL. Attached are the pictures of the train, no further comment necessary. Were there again now. Basically the same as last time, see below. The food can't keep up with the prices in any way, nor can the service, somewhere between disinterested and stroppy. We recently had very good food on holiday in Austria, not that much more expensive than Laubenheimer Höhe - but the quality was worlds better. But the people from Mainz can do a lot with themselves due to the lack of alternatives ;) Went for Sunday brunch. Rolls and croissants were good, meat was fatty, hardly any vegetarian dishes, there was no indication anywhere of which dishes were in front of you. Service medium friendly. Too expensive for that, even if the view is great.

It was the third year we went to the goose dinner... it was delicious again, but the portion was smaller than usual and the marzipan baked apples were missing... they usually always had that “certain kick”. When asked, people shrugged their shoulders. When we wanted to order the wine, the previous one for the goose was no longer available or the waiter simply brought us a different one (much more expensive!) .. without simply offering us the wine list beforehand. Otherwise it was very nice, the atmosphere is great.

Very nice location with guaranteed parking space. Went to brunch, a wide selection of different dishes (buffet) and, as a highlight, a flat rate for all drinks. The small disadvantage was the somewhat weak selection of desserts and the very narrow seating. A cramped feeling quickly emerged. The sanitary facilities were also frequented by countless visitors to the speed skating rink and looked a bit closed. Gladly again.

I don't even know where to start! Amy Winehouse music at Christmas? You had the feeling that you should light up a joint to make it smoother. A naked goose in a white baking dish. Beautiful arrangement nil. Then put the rest in a separate plate. Embarrassing for a shop like that! We received small (!!!!!) dessert plates with our meal. The question is how the hell are we supposed to eat the goose dish with red cabbage, chestnuts and baked apples on a dessert plate!? Of course no one came over anymore, so not only did the food cool down, but my husband also had to get up and ask for large plates himself. Oh yes, how do you actually use the red cabbage? In any case, there wasn't a trowel 🤷🏻‍♀️ our mood was in the basement...An incredibly bad experience. The baked apple was missing at first and a plate for 35 euros per person was said to be out. Afterwards we received some, but they were rock hard. Really just a bad number people. Children's Christmas songs were even playing in between 🤦🏻‍♀️ let's just leave it..................

We were able to spend an evening in the Grillkota once again. Everything was great all around Food - delicious Location - spent a great evening in Kota Service - you have to give absolute praise, everything was well prepared and the person responsible for us, “Jens”, was always there “on point”, understood it and made it exactly that as a guest “a very satisfied guest” Many people should take more than a slice of this! We were there yesterday and pre-ordered the goose for 4 people. It was really delicious! The goose is tender, the sauce is strong and many delicious side dishes. The nice waiter provided great service. We felt very comfortable and the atmosphere is great. A nice restaurant. We'd love to come back.

Beautiful winter world with ice rink and curling. Although it's open until 10 p.m., the kitchen apparently closes at 8 p.m. Unfortunately, this is not advertised anywhere. That brought our evening there to a quick and hungry end.

Great location, but nothing more. In winter, very inviting for ice skating and curling. Food and service unfortunately poor for the price.

The equipment available for rental at the ice skating rink is an absolute disaster. After 10 minutes and changing shoes several times, we asked for the rental fee to be refunded. The nice young man at the ticket booth then asked the boss, who said no. Entrance fee for 5 people, shoes or scrap borrowed 3 times. 42 Eur in the wind for a 15-20 minute stay. I don't even want to start talking about the quality of the ice cream. It might still be fun with your own shoes...but it's so impossible. Thanks for a dirty evening.

Overpriced for a mediocre goose at best. The quality used to be much better and the food was more beautifully prepared. In the meantime you get a careless metal noise slapped at you. Service was friendly but unreliable. We had forgotten a present on the table and I called shortly afterwards. The employee found it straight away and put it aside. Two days later it was no longer on the shelf because someone apparently let it go. Statement “could have been the cleaning lady, next time we’ll get a drink”. Embarrassing, and even more embarrassing statement, and this from a restaurant manager. Be ashamed of your values👎

Re: Disappointing brunch experience - poor service and quality I would like to inform you of my disappointment about the brunch I recently attended. Despite making a reservation in advance and asking several times by telephone whether everything was OK, the entire process was very unsatisfactory. First of all, the table we were assigned was extremely cramped. The close placement was not only uncomfortable but also inappropriate, especially given the previous reservation. When asked whether an alternative place was possible, there was no response whatsoever. The table was not yet fully set when we were supposed to be seated, and some of the advertised services such as champagne and other brunch details were either not served or served very late, despite repeated requests. When we couldn't place a drink order after an hour, we handed our order in at the bar ourselves because no one at the tables asked. The number of service staff was clearly insufficient - one waitress for 60 people is simply not enough to meet the requirements. The coffee was also disappointingly weak and some of the cutlery on the tables was dirty. Plates and cutlery were missing from the buffet, which meant that many guests were forced to wait a long time. Since used plates were not cleared away for a long time, this was also the reason why there were no plates left when you wanted to help yourself at the buffet. Lunch was another disappointment: the choice was very limited and the quality left a lot to be desired. There were no alternatives for people who can only eat poultry, and the side dishes such as red cabbage dumplings were unappetizing. Unfortunately, there were also no clues as to what was in each container, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. Although the dessert buffet was the only one that was properly presented, overall the entire experience was not justified in terms of either quality or quantity. For the price we paid we would have expected much more.

The fact that you can now expect so little for €65 per person has reached a whole new dimension in profit maximization. We've already been to a few brunch offers across the country, but nowhere has anyone dared to charge this price. Completely overworked staff, a poorly refilled buffet, suitable cutlery only on request and not a culinary highlight. Nevertheless, the restaurant was more than crowded with visitors, which reinforced my impression of maximum profit. Not an experience I have to repeat. The general supply situation in the catering sector makes something like this possible, but I doubt whether it will last. Here the catering industry is sawing off the thin branch it is currently sitting on, but perhaps you would still like to take what you can take with you. Gladly not again.

Schönes Ambiente, Essen einigermaßen, Service sehr mäßig, speziell der Herr im Anzug. Schade, es könnte ein netter Ort sein.

Wir waren im November 2 x im Restaurant zum Essen und waren immer wieder fasziniert. Das Ambiente ist sehr geschmackvoll weihnachtlich dekoriert und die Servicemitarbeiter sind auch sehr bemüht. Leider ist dieses Haus aber komplett chaotisch organisiert. Man wartet mindestens 15 Minuten bis man eine Bestellung aufgeben kann, diese ist dann meist fehlerhaft aufgenommen worden, trotz mehrfacher Erklärung. Das Personal ist nicht immer der deutschen Sprache mächtig, was ja grundsätzlich kein Problem ist, aber wenn die Bestellungen mehrfach falsch laufen, doch sehr ärgerlich. Die Qualität der Speisen ist unterdurchschnittlich, dafür aber hochpreisig. Es ist sehr schade, dass die Inhaberfamilie, die ein sehr gutes Hotel im Mainz führt, diese tolle Location nicht im Griff hat. Es gibt etliche schlechte Bewertungen, aber anscheinend ist das der Inhaberfamilie egal. Schade, denn man würde sehr gerne die schön Location mit gutem Service und Essen öfter besuchen. Aber es scheint, dass man mit suboptimalem Service genug Geld verdienen kann.

Visit on November 28th, 2024 Christmas party with our company about 30 people. During the curling it was a bit crowded and confusing. Everything in the restaurant was perfect! Very nice atmosphere (similar to a winter sports hut) we could even sit a little apart. The waiter greeted everyone with a handshake and always quickly looked at what was missing and immediately took care of a replacement. More service is not possible. Despite the buffet, all the dishes were perfectly cooked and not overcooked. Respect. Delicious goulash, delicious goose leg and super tasty ravioli. The price was a package including curling, food and drinks.

We chose this location for our wedding. Shortly after the deposit was paid and the deadline expired, my wife became pregnant (earlier than planned), which is why we unfortunately wanted to cancel the wedding/big celebration and postpone it for two years. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to find support or understanding in this facility. Goodwill and service seem to be foreign concepts here, and the general terms and conditions are very disadvantageous for private customers. I recommend ideally speaking to a lawyer before signing or immediately looking for another location.

It's a shame that the participants of the 2024 meat congress were allowed to hold their "winter BBQ" here and thus support this regressive and destructive industry.

The ice rink was a disaster, the ice had completely melted and it was impossible to skate! The fun cost €15 for 10 minutes. After my complaint and the request to refund part of my money for entry, the “boss” was not willing to talk to me. He was annoyed by my request and I could write an email... now it's become a review! It is shameful that Laubenheimer Höhe hosted an exclusive winter BBQ for the German Meat Congress on November 26th, 2024. The restaurant is obviously not above enriching itself at the expense of millions of tortured animals and at the expense of our environment, which is deteriorating as a result of industrial animal farming.

We were guests for a goose dinner and found everything perfect. Great atmosphere and reception, nice table, everything tastefully decorated, good service, delicious food!!! We only reserved online the evening before and really enjoyed half the goose 🤤

The location is beautifully decorated for Christmas...but that's about it. The drinks came, the water glasses didn't look clean and the rim of another glass was so broken that it was a shame to serve in a glass like that. We had pre-ordered a goose for 4 people. The goose wasn't even lukewarm. It was so dry, especially in the carved areas, that you could assume that the goose had been carved hours before and kept warm, which could be tasted in the dry areas. When we finished eating, our plates sat on the table for at least another 30 minutes without being noticed. The service is absolutely underground For these prices I expect different service and, above all, clean dishes. For a 0.7L water bottle €9.50 and a 0.4L spritzer for €7.00……no words!!

A beautiful place, but it seems to be primarily aimed at getting people drunk in the winter world: The very last Ballermann music was playing (when I asked, I was told by the employees that they knew how terrible the music was, but that they weren't allowed to change it). The mulled wine is warm, but not hot. Accordingly, you drink it faster. What could be behind this seems to be a business tactic. Such a beautiful place doesn't need that...

Yesterday we went curling and eating goose with our friends👍It was a nice, nice evening with delicious food. Top!!! Above all, the service was great👍 Hussein is a very friendly and attentive waiter with whom we had a lot of fun. Big praise👍👍👍 We would love to come back...

We have been going to Laubenheimer Höhe to eat goose for years, this year for the last time. From year to year the number of guests present has increased and unfortunately it is now only a high-priced mass transaction. When we entered the restaurant on Friday at 6:30 p.m., there was a buffet set up right in the entrance area where people were helping themselves, while we hung up coats right next to the food and waited with other groups to be assigned our seats. Our table for 4 was in the hallway right next to a staff service table. People sat closely, back to back to the next table. It was even tighter at the next tables, with 12 people sitting at a table of 8 and having to get up from their seats while eating fondue (€40 per person!) to get to the fondue machine. Our waitress (the only highlight of the evening) asked if we wanted the goose served straight away. We said no, it's time. Despite the general beer tent atmosphere (upon request: 250 people instead of the usual limit of 200 people), we still wanted to have a nice evening and enjoy the expensive food. Unfortunately that didn't work. The greeting from the kitchen (bread, lard, ham) came and at the same time the goose 😞. In the past, the goose was served with all the ingredients on a beautiful platter that was placed on a warmer to keep it warm. Savings are now being made here too. The food was lukewarm and not worth the high price. We left straight after dinner, as did the table next to us, instead of having another drink. It's a shame, we will be moving our tradition of "eating goose" to another restaurant in the next few years.

The food was excellent. The service with Husein and Jiannis was attentive, friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. The atmosphere was also convincing: cozy, stylish and inviting. Definitely coming back!!!

Went there with the kids for ice skating. Everything beautifully done. I think Bravo Hits 19 was playing the whole time. Prices are okay. Unfortunately, after a while it is just removed and not re-watered, so the later the condition gets really bad. Kids had fun. It gets really crowded in the evenings. I don't think there are any regulations

We went to the Hofgut for a goose meal and both the food and the service were excellent. It took a little longer for the food and dessert (ice cream) to arrive, but the taste comforted us. The atmosphere was decorated for Christmas.

This time the service was absolutely overwhelmed and a total disaster. Too many reservations were accepted with far too few staff. We waited over an hour for the fondue we had ordered in advance, only received the advance bread upon request, and sat for a long time in front of empty glasses with nothing in them. Really, really, really sad. The waiters tried hard, but to no avail. If we hadn't been going there for many, many years and had always felt very comfortable, we wouldn't go there again after this evening.

The location is great. However, we were very cramped with 10 people, so there is a small point deduction for this. However, the service still has a lot of potential for improvement. Only after 35 minutes did the waiter come to take the drink order. Otherwise the service was not very present. Since there were 10 of us, there was only a small menu for us. We thought that was a shame because we had already looked at the menu on the homepage. The food was good, but the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right.

I was here with my work colleagues for the Christmas party. First curling and then eating in the restaurant. The first glance at the menu made my mouth water. I quickly came up with a plan for my dinner. However, the prices made me take a deep breath. The curling was fun, there was mulled wine at moderate prices and a wonderful view. When I got to the restaurant my plan fell apart. There was only a small selection menu. Unfortunately my favorites weren't there. We had reserved with 10 people. After 25 minutes the drinks were already taken. The food took over an hour to arrive. Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry anymore. After a few bites, I asked the waiter to pack me some food to take away. That wasn't a problem. I really enjoyed my food, but my colleagues weren't convinced. The vegetarians had little choice due to the small menu. Overall we were rather disappointed with the food, we expected much more, which is a shame. Then we paid individually, which was very inconvenient and something I've never experienced before. You were asked to go to the counter one at a time. There you wrote down by hand what you had, then you entered it into the cash register and then finally cashed in. That took forever. The bill was surprising with high drink prices: 1 bottle of water 0.7l = 10 EUR. 1 grape juice spritzer 0.4l = 7 EUR. I was impressed. Finally, I would like to praise the really cozy and wonderfully Christmas-decorated atmosphere. It's actually a place to feel good. I'm happy to pay more if everything is just right. Unfortunately that is not the case here. I probably won't come back.

We have been coming to Martin Gans with friends for more than 10 years now. A table for four and a goose from the large pan was what we were offered this year too. After curling in the beautiful winter world, we went to our reserved table and sat down in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Then the first disappointment this year. The goose was not served in the pan as advertised. We had to laboriously help ourselves from three pots. When asked about our satisfaction after the meal, we praised the quality of the food but pointed out the inconvenience in how the goose was served to us. After the first waitress agreed with us, a second employee, who was probably higher in the hierarchy, said that the new way of presenting the goose would be five stars. serving in the pan only three stars. And if we want the pan, we should please register this in writing. The offer in the flyer is different. When we wanted to order desserts at 9:30 p.m., the kitchen was already closed. Instead of dessert there was only coffee! Anyway. We would have liked to drink another bottle of wine together. However, the restaurant was already empty shortly after 10 p.m., tables and chairs began to be moved, and there was no feeling of comfort. So we ordered the bill. They generously gave us coffee and the first bottle of wine. Nice gesture. Summary: It was more comfortable at Hofgut Laubenheimer Höhe.

Good food in nice surroundings with poor service. We had reserved a table with the family. We had to change once before we were seated at our table... We had to explain several times what exactly we had reserved. In the end everything worked out, but given the price level you just expect excellent service and a correspondingly smooth welcome. Even though there was little going on, the waitresses were overwhelmed. 3 times the food was placed in large hot pots in front of our 2-year-old son because nothing had been cleared away beforehand and there was no space on the table. The staff was friendly but simply disorganized and overwhelmed. The food was really very good. Only the lighting conditions in the room need to be reconsidered (quite dark, there is a small lamp on the full table when eating). The location is of course very beautiful with a panoramic view of the Rhine, the vineyards and the surrounding area.

Appointment for coffee and cake, reserved for 8 people and then there won't be a crumb in the house.

Location is in a great location and offers a magnificent view of Frankfurt. What's on offer in the restaurant doesn't meet the standards we expected when looking at the menu. The service isn't running smoothly either. There could be more in every respect. Maybe we'll visit the outdoor dining area when we get the chance. Unfortunately, certain reservations have become apparent.

Voller froher Erwartungen auf einen netten Abend bei gutem Essen im Kreise unserer Freunde haben wir dieses Etablissement am Samstag, 27.10.2024 besucht. Der Service war schlicht nicht vorhanden, das Essen ungenießbar und die Preise eine Frechheit. Auf unsere Kritik wurde weder vom Servicepersonal noch der Geschäftleitung reagiert. Dieses Haus wird uns nie wieder sehen, ungenießbare Speisen zu unverschämten Preisen muss man sich wirklich nicht antun!

Essen war allenfalls mittelmäßig. Grotesk überteuert, Bedienung benimmt sich in bisher nicht erlebter Weise daneben.

Wir waren letzte Woche auf Empfehlung dort. Der Kellner, der sich als neuer "Restaurantleiter" ausgab, versagte auf ganzer Linie. Ungebildet und von Speisen oder Weinen hatte er überhaupt keine Ahnung. Ich verstehe die Geschäftsführung nicht, so jemanden als "Restaurantleiter" auf zahlende Gäste loszulassen. Eine hagere, nichtssagende Gestalt mit zittrigen und ungepflegten Händen. Von einem Restaurantleiter erwarten wir doch erheblich mehr! Fachwissen bzw. Weinkunde oder gewählte Kommunikation kommt nicht über einen, nur weil man sich einen Anzug überstreift. Schade, wir hatten uns so gefreut.

Simply great location with dog-friendly staff. It's been a long time since I've had such good croquettes. The staff seemed stressed, but were very friendly. I'd love to come back.

Overall, we had a lovely wedding celebration at the Hofgut. The service staff during the wedding were quick, helpful and attentive. The location itself is simply fantastic. Unfortunately, a few issues arose during the preparations and celebration that affected the proceedings and the image and price of the estate. Initially stained or holey chair covers, a hall floor that hasn't been cleaned for ages, too few parasols for shade during the wedding, signing an invoice at night after the ceremony and later changing a number by hand and adjusting (increasing!) the price are things that don't can happen and should be communicated better. A few errors in the function sheet that could have been avoided and that we had to correct made the entire already nerve-wracking wedding planning more difficult. They are not devastating things, but things that can be avoided and communicated better. There was a lack of professionalism and attention to detail in some places. All in all, we would celebrate our celebration at Laubenheimer Höhe again because it is simply a fantastic location and we could contact the event manager or the person in charge at any time with our concerns during the celebration. If you improve professionalism in certain areas, it is an all-round perfect opportunity to celebrate your own party in a wonderful place where nothing is missing.

Wir wolten uns mit Freunden in ihr Weinkabinett setzen. Der Tisch war mit einem Stapel gereinigten Tischdecken belegt. Ihr neuer Restaurantleiter sagte nur, da können sie sich nicht hinsetzen, wir haben genug Platz in den übrigen Berichen. Das Weinkabinett blieb den ganzen Abend über leer, mit Ausnahme der Tischdecken ... Das übrige Restaurant war sehr mäßig besucht und zudem wenig beheizt. Eine fachliche Frage zu den Speisen konnte der dazugerufene so genannte Restaurantleiter nicht beantworten, lediglich mit dem Satz kommentieren, das macht die Küche halt so...

We came for coffee, with a table reservation. The table wasn't ready yet, but that wasn't a problem and went quickly. Unfortunately there wasn't enough cake 🎂 available at coffee time. Not quite half a Frankfurt wreath and a quarter of a marzipan cake.

Die Laubenheimer Höhe liegt wunderbar gelegen. Tolle Aussicht bei gutem Wetter. Das Essen, der Service sowie die Weine sind super. Eine klare Empfehlung

We would like to give 7/5 stars. The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. The service is excellently courteous, more than friendly and also extremely stylishly dressed. The food surprised me personally. The chanterelle soup with small mini chillies for example... Never seen this combination before. A taste explosion. Thanks to the entire team for the lovely evening Ps: from the terrace you can see all the way to Frankfurt👌🏽

Friendly reception, very nice service. The food was great 😋 wine 🍷 very good. We'll be back.
