It's always a pleasure to come here and switch off from everyday life. Very nice location, nice service, a very large menu with different dishes, such as: meatloaf, hand cheese with music, spundekäs, turkey steak and tarte flambée. There is one complaint: food is sometimes no longer really hot or is slightly burnt. You have to get your own drinks at the stand. The wines are delicious across the board. Prices are also more than reasonable.

Yes, it's nice there... the hospitality is good, nice people... the only thing missing is a little music... otherwise everything is great...

We were there on a normal weekday at 5:30 p.m. Many tables were reserved for after 7 p.m. The choice of space was very limited, even though we certainly didn't want to stay for two hours. The food was okay, but nothing more. Fried potatoes were definitely frozen goods. I didn't get an ashtray when I asked. I was directed outside, even though we were sitting outside. Open on all sides, just a tent roof. We sat outside. I recommend putting up signs stating that smoking is not allowed.

Very nice, uncomplicated and authentic restaurant with delicious food. You have to like self-service drinks, but there are worse things. Food was fresh and tasty and came very quickly. Price/performance fits and you sit very nicely. We'll be back.

Were there early and had a good reserved spot. Food delicious as usual. Bar pay for drinks is not so good.

The fried potatoes are fried potatoes. The location on the busy road is suboptimal and the drink selection is wine-heavy. There is no beer ☝️

The hand cheese is quite decent, but the fried potatoes are unfortunately quite fatty and not recommended. The service is OK. In midsummer the heat builds up and not all places are sufficiently shaded.

The food is quite good and the wine is delicious. I would like more attention from the service, both in terms of clearing plates and fulfilling your wishes. We asked for mustard several times and didn't get it. The plates also remained on the table for a very long time

We were there for the public viewing and had a table with the best view of the televisions. The outdoor area is largely covered. The food was brought pretty quickly, drinks are self-service. Fair prices, a great selection of wine and food. The wine lounge is very cozy.

We sat outside with five people. You have to get drinks yourself and pay for them directly, ordering food requires one condition. The portions are normal size, if you're really hungry it's best to order Spundekäs'. The salmon bowl was very tasty, and the hand cheese was also well received. Meatloaf with gravy and fried potatoes were good. Unfortunately, as soon as the food is there, you hardly pay attention to it, at least in the back part. Had to wave several times so we could pay for our food. There is a point deduction for this.

We had a great club event in the Gutsschänke. The location is large, a good mix of “indoor”, “winter garden” and outdoor. All around a great afternoon.

Not nearly as comfortable as it used to be, as it has been massively expanded over the years. Still a great place to drink a wine spritzer in the summer at reasonable prices. The food is also completely okay for the price!

Nice outside area, certainly great if you're just coming for a few drinks and snacks. The main course, however, was a disaster. Six people from our group had the schnitzel with asparagus and were extremely disappointed. The meat had a very strange consistency, was poorly breaded and sometimes slightly burnt. In the end it didn't taste good at all, but it cost an impressive €19.80. When we spoke to the waitress, she simply explained that it wasn't frozen schnitzel and that no one else had complained.

Went there for the first time, the food was great and we found the prices to be very reasonable. The service was very nice and helpful. We sat in a kind of tent in which - when the sun was shining - it quickly became warm and a bit stuffy, otherwise it was a beautiful evening.

Many beer tent sets offer a lot of seating, but in the outdoor area there are only a few opportunities to sit alone at a table in a smaller group. It takes a little getting used to: you can order food via a website (QR code at every table), but drinks are only available at the counter and have to be paid for directly there. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Very nice restaurant, great atmosphere. Everything possible is cozy, for celebrations such as birthdays, weddings and more Similar. There are also enough parking spaces available.

What can I say? Simply outstanding. A chance discovery while searching the internet that was more than worth it. A beautiful garden, large but still attractively laid out, which looks very inviting as soon as you enter. The menu offers something for every taste, whether meat, salad or snacks etc... the wine list offers a large selection at moderate prices. It's just a dream to spend the evening here.

You can easily order food using a QR code. Drinks can also be picked up at the wine bar at the front.

Good location and nice garden. It feels like there are too many tables to be able to serve everyone properly, the staff seems stressed. The two of us ordered two meals, first only one came and when we asked, the second one wasn't quite the right one. If you already order food on your cell phone (which works well), why not also drinks and integrated payment via Apple Pay?

Could be nice. But the furnishings are so cheap and ugly that it is unfortunately extremely uncomfortable. Old beer benches and plastic tents. It's sad that people aren't investing more given the prices. The service is self-service and waiting in line. Food is ok, but nothing worth going there for. Went there 3 times, identical every time - you should probably have a nice drink..

The reservations didn't seem to be going well, but a table was still found for us. You can get your own drinks at the bar. This can take a few minutes. The food is served and comes quite quickly. The selection is great and the food is very tasty. The wine is also good. Prices are reasonable. The service is friendly.

... were traveling with our visitor from Thuringia. This time not in the Rheingau, but again in Mainz-Bretzenheim at Weyers Harvesthof and we hit the mark! We were exactly right. There was a super delicious strawberry punch, the dry Riesling No. 1 was fruity and tasty, the winemaker's steak was a bit mixed, but normal for pork neck. The homemade potato pancakes with salmon - the hammer and the Palatinate Saumagen with homemade coleslaw, just a poem. Everything without words. With the review we just want to thank the nice and friendly waitresses and that there are still people and hosts, who enjoy their job and work and persevere so that we do well. Keep it up! I don't write reviews often. But every time we visit our family, we are taken here. Great ambience, great service and great food. It's strawberry season right now and the strawberry punch is so delicious. Thanks to the great team, we would love to come back🫶🏼

Weyer's Harvesthof has great food and drinks at great prices. Nice waitresses and everyone is very helpful. You can spend some time here, both outside and inside. The Christmas market in winter is also a great event. Very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. You can have a great time with friends and family. It's always worth a trip to eat/drink there. The price/performance ratio is very good and the farm regularly offers events with live music.

We came by spontaneously on Saturday and got a nice seat even though it was full. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food tasted great and it's always nice to sit here. Thank you!

Mother's Day in Weyer. As always, very nice, but completely full. Luckily we had reservations. Everyone enjoyed the food and the strawberry punch was simply delicious. The entire team was again very friendly and attentive. See you next time

Catastrophe! We didn't get our starter at all and the main courses weren't brought anywhere near the same time. There was no cutlery either, we only got some after asking four times, the food at the table was now cold. We then had it returned, mainly with the request that our food be served at the same time. In the end we didn't get this food at all. Since the service was extremely poor, I decided not to tip in this case. But the waitress simply kept the change when paying (that's how you can tip), which I find super cheeky! Overall extremely disappointing experience, we certainly won't be coming back.

Positive: Very nicely located on the edge of Bretzenheim and easily accessible on foot, by car or by bus and tram. The ambience also has great potential. Negative: All areas are occupied with as many guests as possible, but unfortunately the organization is in no way able to cope with the demands of such a number of people. The boss diligently distributes arriving guests to free places, obviously not paying attention to the feasibility for the staff. No menus at the tables (if you can and want to, you can access the digital menu on your smartphone). Since you wait in vain for service at the table, you basically have to rely on ordering via the digital menu. After a long wait, about 1 hour, the first dish arrives. Unfortunately, there is no cutlery at the table, so it remains on the table (15 minutes) until you ask the waitress to heat it up again. An approach that is not recommended. I didn't see my dish again all evening after that. After sharing side dishes and a main course at the table (the food was cold because you had to wait 15 minutes after it arrived for cutlery), we waited for the remaining dishes. After almost 2 hours, everyone present had had their fill on their own and we decided not to wait any longer and headed home. All the waitresses present were pointed out several times about the missing food or cutlery, but no one acted on it. We had to go get the cutlery ourselves. Overall very disappointing. Not recommendable.

I can only recommend ♥️ to every wine lover. Delicious wine (I like to drink Savingon Blanc) with homemade Spunde cheese. Everything is wonderful

I've been waiting for weeks for my order, which I placed through wirwinzer. The shipping company also did not receive a response from the winery, even after repeated requests. Very poor customer service and therefore a very poor experience.

Makes a good impression, the entrance is difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area, and the food went well with the wine. Bratwurst not recommended.

Today we are still waiting for the service person who wanted to take our food, so out of necessity we did it online. Salad with turkey breast, totally overpriced for €14.80, just green lettuce, no tomatoes, cucumbers or anything like that. Never again. Totally warm and bad air under the tent, and also really loud. Once and definitely not again.

Die Besitzer nennen ihre Lokalität selbst Straußwirtschaft; inzwischen wurde aber der recht gemütliche Innenbereich und der vor einigen Jahren noch überschaubare Außenbereich großzügig erweitert, so daß im Außenbereich inzwischen wohl mehrere hunderte Leute bewirtet werden können. Durch die gute Lage (u.a. auch Stadionnähe) wird dies auch ausgiebig genutzt, wodurch gemütliche Atmosphäre leider durch Massenbetrieb ersetzt wird. Der Service ist zwar "auf Zack" und trotz des hohen Streßlevels freundlich, die Schlange an der Getränketheke wird auch relativ zügig abgearbeitet, aber Geräuschpegel und Menschenmenge lassen nicht wirklich eine Wohlfühlatmosphäre zu. Speisen und Getränke sind regional und haben sehr gut geschmeckt; keine kulinarischen Höhenflüge oder Besonderheiten, aber solide Handwerkskunst wie man es in einer Straußwirtschaft erwartet. Leider werden keine zuckerfreien Softdrinks angeboten; da bleibt dann nur noch Wasser als Auswahlmöglichkeit.

The food was hearty, the wine was delicious, there was plenty of space and yet it was cozy. This economy is on the plus side and has a digital ordering system. It's efficient, I thought it was great. If you want, you can also order your food analogously from the friendly service and it's still quick.

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich. Mit Freunden kann man dort eine gute Zeit haben. Allerdings finde ich auch, dass das Konzept zu sehr auf Umsatz ausgelegt ist. Die Speisen sind teilweise komplett überteuert für das was man bekommt (Fleischkäse mit Brot für 9,80?!). Das „Bedienungskonzept“ finde ich auch nicht gut umgesetzt. Entweder Selbstbedienung oder Bedienung am Tisch aber kein Mix.

wines are quite good. food probably 80% convenience food, meaning: not freshly made. very strange mix of cash on delivery and self service for drinks, and either order at the table or by QR code for the food. Quite confusing concept. Also: if you ask your guests to order by QR code you should offer a local WIFI network. Nope. All seems to be in Romanian hands...the women serving the guests, the men probably working in the wine yard. The cook is probably Romanian, too: The dressing of the rucola salad is in urgent need of olive oil... But at the end: wines are fine. update August 22 2023: its hot today, about 30°C. They serve the red wine at "room temperature" (not refrigerated), means 30°C. Would you drink a premium red wine at 30°C? I suggest the management needs to focus a little more.....

Nette Outside Location und mehr als eine klassische Strausswirtschaft. Schöne Auswahl an Essen und Getränken. Die Getränke holt man sich drinnen selber währen das Essen vom Service oder per QR Code bestellen kann. Das finde ich eine innovative Idee mit dem man den Service auch mal entlasten kann. Ich werde sicherlich wiederkommen.

Straußwirtschaft mit Biergartenatmosphäre. Kann sehr voll werden, also besser reservieren. Getränke holt man sich an einem Getränkestand, das Essen wird mit dem Mobiltelefon über einen QR-Code am Tisch bestellt. Funktionierte alles einwandfrei. Alles in allem eine schöne Location.

Es ist viel zu laut, da meist sehr viele Gäste da sind. Es ist einfach nicht zum Entspannen geeignet.

Das Steak und der Salat waren sehr gut. Das Bestellen von Essen geht jetzt deutlich schneller über die App. Der Sauvignon Blanc ist sehr angenehm, frisch Und nicht zu trocken.

Für die Größe doch nettes Ambiente. Wir werden sicher Wiederholungstäter

Immer wieder eine wunderschöne Zeit mit Freunden bei euch!!!!

Super Essen, Hausmannskost vom feinsten. Sehr gut und erschwinglich. Sehr zu empfehlen!. Das meiste ist überdacht und man sitzt bei Wind und Wetter im Trockenen. Es gibt aber auch genügend Plätze im Freien. Die Getränkeauswahl ist auch super.

Große stark frequentierte Straußwirtschaft. Schöne Auswahl an Weinen und Speisen. Optimal zum "Schoppe-Trinke" nach Feierabend mit Familie und Freunden.

Weyer hat die Gewinnoptimierung auf die Spitze getrieben: Selbst draußen alles zu eng gestellt und für Getränke darf man selbst, unter Umständen auch sehr lange, Schlange stehen. Bei den Preisen könnte man sich auch ein, zwei Kellnerinnen und Kellner mehr leisten. Oder den Service den Kunden überlassen. Ach ja: Abstellplätze für Fahrräder wären auch eine Idee.

Sehr gemütlich und gute Bewirtung

Ich bin zufällig hier eingekehrt, da das Lokal genau zwischen der Hochschule Mainz und meinem Hotel lag. Die Essensauswahl ist gut. Für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Die Karte ist auch nicht zu groß, was auch für sie Qualität spricht. Ich hatte ein Putensteak mit Bratkartoffeln und einen Beilagensalat extra. Das Putensteak war an den Rändern ein wenig trocken und ziemlich wenig Kräuterbutter. Was ich schön fand war, dass es allerdings mit Kräutern gegrillt wurde. Die Kartoffeln waren perfekt und knusprig. Auch der Salat war gut. Alles war schön angerichtet und man musste auch nicht lange warten obwohl es recht voll war. Die Portionen sind auch groß. Alles in allem war ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen! Alles hat toll geschmeckt. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Ich persönlich finde es das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super! Weine waren auch fantastisch! Das Lokal selber ist sehr bodenständig aber hat dennoch Charme. Der Service war nett und man konnte online bestellen. Ich werde bei meinem nächsten Besuch wiederkommen!

Eine schöne Straußwirtschaft mit einem tollen Innen und Außenbereich zum sitzen und verweilen.Es gibt ein großes Zelt und viele Tische im Freien .Der Wein und die Speisen sind gut und die Preise angemessen bis günstig. Getränke besorgt man sich selber und das Essen wird an den Tisch gebracht. Die Portionen sind gut und schmackhaft. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und man bekommt seine Bestellung recht zügig. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe da und hatten sehr viel Spaß. Parkplätze gibt es einige rund um das Gelände. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Für eine Straußwirtschaft sehr vielfältige Karte, auch vegetarisch ist das Angebot sehr gut. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, parallel kann man auch über QR- Code bestellen. Der Außenbereich wirkt etwas umstrukturiert, lädt aber dennoch zum Verweilen ein.

Trinken muss man sich selber holen.

War dort mit einer Freundin & bestellte mir einen Flammkuchen. Eine Stunde später bekam ich schwere Magenkrämpfe, Übelkeit, Durchfall etc. Es wurde eine Lebensmittelvergiftung festgestellt. Auf eine e-Mail mit dem geschilderten Vorfall kam leider keine Reaktion. Schade, denn man sitzt dort relativ schön, trotz des leichten Gefühls der Massenabfertigung. Also- Vorsicht..
