We spontaneously got a table for 3. Waiters were very nice. The food was very tasty like in HB in Munich. Would love to come back. Unfortunately, the food that we gave the waiter to pack up so we could take it with us was thrown away 🫣

If you know the Hofbräuhaus, you know that it is rustic, simple tavern furniture, mostly benches without backrests. The service staff was friendly and quick. The food was good and plentiful. A good price-performance ratio. If you like Bavarian food, you're in good hands here.

The food (veal schnitzel) was absolutely amazing. Super tasty. The sausage salad was nothing but good. Just not my taste. The atmosphere in the vault is very appealing. The food came too quickly for my taste, which isn't a bad thing if you're very hungry.

Das Ambiente ist echt cool gemacht. Richtig authentisch. Ich habe den Krustenbraten gegessen des war wunderbar zart das Kraut gut gewürzt und die Knödel genau richtig. Alles in allem ein guter Abend. Etwas negativ ist die extrem laute Geräuschkulisse was aber schwer zu ändern ist.

A great location with a fitting brewery atmosphere (a little louder than a normal restaurant). A brewery cannot be better housed than in an old town hall. We were there with a group of 20. All employees were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and plentiful. I think some restaurants exaggerate their prices. I found the prices at the Hofbräu reasonable. A good price-performance ratio. Since I like to drink an HB original at home, I was really looking forward to the freshly tapped one. I would happily recommend a visit to the Hofbräu.

The food was tasty, Bavarian, but of course there were other dishes too. The service was excellent, requests were noted, we were a large group. First drinks are served and then the food with several service staff. We sat in a hall that was okay but not overly comfortable, which is not what we expected. On the way out I saw the front dining room, which had several rooms that flowed into each other, it looked cozy.

I went to the Hofbräu for the first time based on a recommendation and was completely satisfied! The waitress was very nice and always asked if everything was OK. We had schnitzel with mushrooms and fries, white sausages with pretzels and Leberkäs with fried eggs and fried potatoes. Everything came quickly and we enjoyed it! The beer recommendation was also good! Only the music, sometimes something like Matthias Reim and old hits, wasn't particularly suitable for a Bavarian restaurant for me.

Was there often. Always good. Today unfortunately only satisfactory. Despite complaints, the fried potatoes were bad. Floury, barely browned, really bad... the brewery pan also felt like it had less red cabbage and some of the knuckle meat was stringy. Conclusion. Always great, unfortunately not today. But we'll be back.

This time we were disappointed. The food was lukewarm. It took a long time. We got cutlery after the meal. The waiter had to run into the kitchen for a small fork. So many staff but they didn't come into the quiet room often. The restaurant is super nice, but well attended The organizational "side" needs to improve a bit. And of course the food (farmhouse pan) should not be brought to the table cold.

We have eaten here several times. Now, in the cold season, the hearty cellar offers a great ambience. But it can also be loud. We're at the Hofbräu. The summers in the courtyard completely fascinated us. A beautiful sight and a perfectly maintained facility. The staff is very friendly and resilient. Large orders are received with a smile. Of course the waitress knew who had ordered what. The food is really very good. If you expect French cuisine, avoid this place. There is no chicken or turkey breast. There is rich and very tasty food here. Expected hearty and crispy. Totally and unreservedly recommended.

We got to the store at 10:05 p.m. and just wanted to have a beer. The unfriendly waiter just said they had already made the last round. The store closes at 11 p.m.…

The Hofbräu at the Old Town Hall brings authentic Bavarian cuisine to East Westphalia! Whether in the super beautiful guest room in the newly designed Ratskeller or in the beautiful inner courtyard and beer garden. It's great to stay here and enjoy delicious food and drinks! Food and drinks are super tasty and of the best quality! The price-performance ratio is simply great! An insider tip in Bielefeld. The Hofbräu is also well positioned when it comes to accessibility. Unfortunately, the toilets are cut off by two steps and there is a wheelchair lift to the restaurant.

We had a closed society there. The service was friendly but a bit restructured.

If you want an authentic experience of German food, this is the place. The staff wore Dirndl and lederhosen, very nice. You also got a lot of food, so think carefully before ordering anything ;). You could also take the food home if it was too much. The atmosphere was very cozy and good value for money.

The reserved table was available on time, service was solid/good, the food didn't take too long to arrive and was really tasty. Prices reasonable. What was unfortunately a bit negative was the unpleasant acoustics. Anyone who comes here and wants to have a good time will probably be disappointed. Anyone who wants to celebrate and get a little louder will like it.

Good place for traditional German food, the knuckle was very good and the potatoes are homemade. The menu costs about 15 euros. They have a terrace that overlooks a square with a very good atmosphere to drink beer and eat. The attention is very friendly

The service staff were there quickly, drinks were at the table quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive. The quality of the food was excellent (I had beer goulash made from young beef with spaetzle). We were completely satisfied.

The only disadvantage for those who aren't that good on foot is the distance from the beer garden to the toilet as there are a few stairs to climb, but otherwise it's always worth a visit

Oh, what a culinary masterpiece I was served: two schnitzels with fried potatoes and cream sauce. Let's start with the fried potatoes, which were obviously given a second chance at life. They were as crispy as an old sponge and had the taste of yesterday - literally. The cream sauce was a prime example of creative thrift. Apparently the chef has a secret talent for turning water into cream, or at least trying to, because the result was a thin, bland broth reminiscent of the art of alchemy, only without success. Now let's get to the schnitzels. The breading was reasonably successful and the texture was okay. All in all, a meal that raised expectations but ultimately failed to live up to them.

So one of the waitresses present was so unmotivated or arrogant that if I were the boss there, I would have fired him straight away. The employee acted as if we weren't sitting in the beer garden at all. Despite eye contact from close proximity, he kind of ignored us until, after repeated requests from us, he finally helped himself.

We have now tried the Hofbräuhaus a few times. The ambience is really nice and especially the Buergarten. The food is ok. Unfortunately, the staff was almost always rather unfriendly or reserved and not attentive at all. It usually took an incredibly long time before we were even allowed to place our order. And that even though there was little going on. We had the feeling of being a nuisance. What a shame!!

We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny day with cold drinks. The beer here was very tasty. The ambience here is also great. It was quite busy for us, so we waited a little longer. Prices are okay here. I'd love to come back!

HB breweries are always a good place in Germany to taste a good beer and its typical dishes, such as sausages or knuckle. Although it is not comparable to Munich, it has a very good atmosphere and is very well decorated. It does not have excessive prices. It is located under the old town hall of Bielefeld, in the heart of the city.

We were there for a Christmas party. Food was good and plentiful. Despite the very full house, the service was nice, friendly and often at the table for new drinks etc. I found it very loud and noisy. So much so that a normal conversation was almost impossible

I've been there twice. The premises are great. However, the service is not. It's too rare for someone to come by and you're left sitting there for a long time at the beginning before you order something. In the "Brauhaus" everything seems like a disguise or like a Bavarian motto but not authentic. Too bad.

There were 5 of us there today, unfortunately I have to say that we were very dissatisfied! We've eaten there often and it's always been excellent, but this time it was a disaster! The knuckle went like this, asparagus was as hard as carrots, potatoes were cold and the sauce wasn't cold enough! Zander fish is a pure mess! A grade 2 for the Kaiserschmarm! The service was poor!!! We won't be coming back! 😕

Despite the basement, a nice, bright atmosphere. Modernly furnished. The pizza made from pretzel dough with cream mistress, pear and roasted walnuts was delicious. My 10 colleagues were also very satisfied with the food and service. Everything went very quickly and very friendly. Well suited for groups with not so much time.

Food was tasty and service was good too. The ambience is very nice due to the vault itself, but also a bit cool due to the rather cold light. It can also get very noisy when it fills up in the evening. This is mainly due to the acoustics of the hall and creates more of an Oktoberfest atmosphere, which is okay. You should just know beforehand.

There is delicious, hearty food and delicious Bavarian beers here. It is very nicely and harmoniously furnished, and the beer garden is also recommended in summer. One of my favorite places to eat and have a good time. Absolutely recommended.

We ordered a salad and were disappointed. It was a huge portion, but almost all iceberg lettuce. Tomatoes and cucumbers were almost impossible to find. Not recommended.

Dined for four and everything was very good: from the schnitzel to the knuckle to the napkin dumplings: everything was delicious and in a decent portion size. The staff was very nice, the food came quickly.

Really nicely designed, traditional but well finished Keller style restaurant and bar. Quick and friendly service with only small mistakes on our order and quickly rectified. Food was terrific; we had the goulash, schnitzel, pulled pork, meatloaf and the Obatzda as starter and the kaiserschmarrn as dessert. All really well cooked and presented and in great portions. We all left full and happy and had a really nice chat with the serving crew. Highly recommend an afternoon here (or longer session) if you want somewhere to relax and have fun. Also noticed dogs so nice to see dog friendly places.

Good food, service and good beer

The food was always top notch, the prices were really reasonable, the beer was always fresh and tasty, what more could you want.

Classic Hofbräu atmosphere. Partly loud, staff friendly across the board, beers good, food typically honest, hearty and mixed. Schnitzels are definitely better than convenience foods.
