Hikari Asian Food in Kaiserslautern

I absolutely don't understand this review. I've been eating here regularly for years, and the quality is impressive and, importantly, consistent. There's nothing earth-shatteringly new here. But in all that time, I've never had any nasty surprises or anything like that, as other reviews describe. It's fast food, and you should just be aware of that. It's clean and, for a local snack bar, simply fantastic. They even occasionally add new sauces and variety, which is very good! The service is very friendly, if sometimes a bit unclear, but that's not a big deal. I think everyone has bad days sometimes... I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend the food.

Good restaurant in the Pfalz Markt. The conditions were friendly. It was quite empty, but that was partly due to the Edeka supermarket closure.

Food was great as always. The duck fried rice is a favorite. Their fried shrimp, sesame balls, and shrimp chips are great add ons. Very fast service and tasty.

I've been going to Hikari regularly for many years and I'm still impressed every time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. You can tell the quality and care go into the work here. Even special requests have always been handled with friendliness and ease. I think the pricing is perfectly reasonable. I usually pay just under €10 for a very filling vegetarian meal. The value for money here is simply amazing. Hikari has been my first choice for years when it comes to fast Asian food in Kaiserslautern. I highly recommend it!

Food was not good and meat tasted weird. Noodles are barely cooked and look nothing like the pictures. The noodles should be brown in color and they were pasty white. Workers made an error and then acted like it was my fault they prepared the wrong item. Definitely not coming back.

Warning! The food was bad. My son vomited and had diarrhea.

I would have liked to eat something, but the lady behind the counter was so unfriendly because I only wanted to order spring rolls and soup for myself. I think it wasn't enough for her to take the money. Never again.

I spontaneously went there for dinner today with my husband and daughter. It was super quick and freshly prepared. The vegetables were crisp, and the lady behind the counter was super nice. My little daughter enjoyed it too. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much. Cam on.

I ordered crispy duck and noodles. The duck was tasty but the noodles and were overcooked and did not taste fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Customer service could be better.

To put it briefly, bad food (musty), no hello, no goodbye...I wouldn't even eat there for free.

The store doesn't even deserve one star. Had lunch there with my family today and I ordered the salad with chicken. Very bad!! The meat was undercooked and totally fatty. After one bite I gave the entire plate back and asked for my money. Instead of giving me my money back, she simply snatched the plate out of my hand and slammed a new plate in my face without my will. I told her I didn't want it anymore because the meat made me so sick and I wanted my money back. The owners were completely screaming and banging on the counter. Another guest had also complained at the time that his food was completely raw. We'll never go there again and I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there!!!

The food at this restaurant is OK. Unfortunately, the service from the man behind the counter is very rude. I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

I haven't eaten there for years. The owners are still the same. When I shopped at the market, I always had to walk past it. Even back then, the food was not edible and the service was bottom drawer. Also totally unfriendly. Hopefully they will close soon and a new, much better snack bar will come there. And of course with better staff.

Incredibly unhygienic and unfriendly. The gentleman first took cash and then flattened my chicken with the same hand. Without washing your hands in between. Everything is ready and takes a maximum of 1 minute. I have no idea how long it's been there. Absolutely not recommended.

Other people's opinions about this place totally confuse me! I've been eating there every now and then for years and find the vegetables crunchy, the meat great and the sauces just great. Plus, the portions are really generous and the prices are totally fair. It's hard to understand why the reviews are so different.

One star is too many. Normally I don't write bad reviews, only when I really like something. But unfortunately I feel compelled to do so here. I go condom with the other bad reviews. I had chicken with rice and vegetables brought. 10€ a box, containing overcooked vegetables, warmed soy sauce instead of the hot sauce I ordered and a breaded chicken breast that a chicken flew past at some point...in the 1950s or something. My tip: Better eat somewhere else.

Top team and very tasty Asian food to go. Gladly again

Ich bin normal kein Mensch der große Ansprüche stellt, aber heute muss ich wirklich sagen, dass ich schon lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen habe. Das personal ist komplett lustlos. Ich hatte Ente mit gebratenem Reis. Die Ente schmeckte wie vom Vortag auf der Warmhalteplatte komplett hartgekocht. Der Reis naja, gut ist anders. Meine Frau hatte Hühnchen mit Nudeln. Das Hühnchen war komplett knurpselig und hatte einen seltsamen Geschmack. Ich hatte auch davon probiert. Wir haben unser Essen Größtenteils stehen lassen. An den Nachbartischen konnte ich das selbe beobachten. Da blieb eine komplette Ente liegen, die genauso aussah wie meine. Ich war im letzten Monat 3 mal dort, weil es für die Mittagspause gut gelegen ist aber die Qualität wurde von mal zu mal schlechter. Mein Arbeitskollege hatte mich noch gewarnt. Für mich war es definitiv das letzte mal. Leider habe ich kein Foto von der Ente gemacht.

I'm not normally a person who makes high demands, but today I really have to say that I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. The staff is completely listless. I had duck with fried rice. The duck tasted like it had been completely hard-cooked on the warming plate from the day before. The rice, well, good is different. My wife had chicken with noodles. The chicken was completely crunchy and had a strange taste. I tried that too. We left most of our food there. I could observe the same thing at the neighboring tables. There was a complete duck left lying there that looked exactly like mine. I've been there 3 times in the last month because it's in a good location for a lunch break, but the quality got bad from time to time. My work colleague warned me. For me it was definitely the last time. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the duck.

Essen hat uns leider nicht geschmeckt und der service lässt stark zu wünschen übrig ,sehr sehr schade.

Nudeln schmecken nach Papier und das Fleisch könnte noch länger gebraten werden. Für das Geld ist das wirklich abzocke. Empfehle ich nicht weiter.

Frage mich wo die schlechten Bewertungen herkommen Essen immer lecker und frisch immer gut besucht wenn ich da esse sehe ich keine unzufriedenen Kunden?

The crispy chicken with Thai curry sauce was delicious. The servings are generous and the veggies were nicely al dente not cooked to mush. The curry was very mild but you get a choice of about 6 sauces. They were not serving sushi today for reasons unknown.

Gemüse mit Reis. Absolut top. 9 !! verschiedene Gemüsesorten.

Mit viel Gudwill 2Sterne. Essen to go kalt. Hühnchen sah aus als wäre es gekocht und nicht gebraten. Alles ist bereits schon längere Zeit vorbereitet und wird nicht wie bei anderen Asia Imbissen frisch zubereitet. Kein Gewürz weder an Gemüse noch an Fleisch. Die angeblich scharfe Sauce war einfach nur fad. Lediglich die Portionsgröße ist okay. Fazit: nicht nochmals

Komische Leute. Zur Bestellung kam es erst gar nicht. Man kennt natürlich die Hintergründe nicht...

3 Sterne gibt es für die frische des Gemüses und die Portionsgrösse. Geschmacklich war es absolut nicht unser Fall ( 4 Personen).

Noodles were ok, beef had some kind of curry mixed in from a different order. The food is cheap, it's cash only. Probably won't be coming back.

Schnelle und frische Zubereitung mit dem Resultat, dass das Essen sehr lecker ist. Die Portionen sind auch ordentlich groß, so dass man locker satt wird. Auch zur Mittagszeit ist selten langes Warten angesagt, weil es auch dann schnell geht 🙂

Leckeres Essen und wir kaufen dort immer wieder gerne was ,wenn es sich ergibt bzw wir in der Nähe sind...🥡

Hier gehe ich oft Ente auf Nudeln essen. Hier werde ich auch freundlich und schnell bedient. Besonders mag ich die Erdnuss Soße.👍

Wir kommen schon seit Jahren mindestens einmal im Monat hierher zum Essen, wenn wir unseren Großeinkauf im Pfalzcenter erledigen, denn das Essen ist sehr lecker und man kann die Mahlzeit wunderbar mit dem Einkauf verbinden. Allerdings zieht die Chefin jedesmal derart eine Fresse, ist unfreundlich und lustlos, daßmir der Appetit langsam vergeht. Nicht das mindestmaß an Höflichkeit oder Freundlichkeit. Auch wenn es mir um das gute Essen leidtut, werde ich mein Geld in Zukunft beim Dönerladen nebenan lassen, denn dort weiß man Kunden zu schätzen.

Ich verstehe nicht warum alle diesen laden so haten aber ich finde dass, das Hikari Asia Food immer gutes Essen macht wir waren schon oft da(in 5 Jahren mindestens schon 25 mal) und wurden noch nie enttäuscht.

Das Essen war nicht so lecker, da gibt es wesentlich bessere Asian schnell Restaurants

Ich verstehe die Bewertungen von den anderen Leute überhaupt nicht! Gehe schon Jahre lang ab und zu dort essen. Das Gemüse ist knackig, Fleisch ist super und die Soßen schmecken einwandfrei.. Die Portionen schön groß.. Preise sind auch völlig inordnung

Fancy some sushi? This is a place to go in the Gerber Mall that offers a good variety of sushi. The price-for- value for an all you can eat is absolutely fine and the sushi is delicious and of good quality. However, it is not a high-end product. Staff is very friendly and all-around this place makes a good Impression.

Bin immer wieder dort. Gutes Asia Food...sehr lecker

The food is prepared fresh for you. The chicken breast fillets are tender with a crisp tempura coating. The vegetables are good but not great. The sauce they use is delicious and their sriracha sauce is the best

Super lecker, schnell und man bekommt immer frische Ware serviert. Einmal war der Tofu nicht mehr im besten Zustand und er wurde vor der Zubereitung entsorgt. Hier gibt man also noch acht was man einem Kunden servieren kann und was nicht. Ist leider nicht in jedem Restaurant so. Super Qualitätskontrolle weiter so !!!
