An absolute dream for steak lovers! We were thrilled from the first moment - the atmosphere is very inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The steak was simply perfect – tender, juicy and cooked exactly as requested. You can immediately tell that quality is important here. The side dishes were also fresh and delicious, especially the baked potatoes and salad were a highlight. The wine that the service recommended to us went perfectly. I highly recommend this steakhouse. Everything is just right here – from the food to the service to the ambience. We'll definitely be back!”

Eating out on Monday wasn't such a good idea -> = often rest day That's how we came to the witch's kitchen by chance and were surprised by the great service. Still able to walk but in a wheelchair we were looked after in a very charming way 👍🏼 In the entrance area we were helped to get up the stairs, prepared the place for us. When my companion had to go to the toilet (Attention wheelchairs, another 5 steps!) They closed the entrance area for us and asked us to be patient for a moment. Very accommodating and friendly. Oh yes and the food: Tomato cream soup snails, Beef skewer, cutlet and tiramisu were VERY tasty. I like the atmosphere and the wine was good too. From the dining room you had a view of the grill and could enjoy watching the preparation. All in all : I will definitely not go to the Witch's Kitchen as a substitute next time, but rather spend my time there specifically and with full conviction.

Food was very good. I was disappointed, the chair was almost ripped off my butt because everything was clean. We've been coming for years but we don't let that happen. Remember, you only have 1 restaurant and 100 others.

No more witch cooking!!! – what started beautifully ended badly… Up until now, the Witch's Kitchen has always been a wonderful address for us. A great restaurant with a nice ambience, great food and courteous staff. Unfortunately we can no longer recommend the restaurant. Our last visit last weekend was very disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant about five minutes earlier than agreed. We were told that we could get to a table a little earlier, but that we would have to vacate it 15 minutes earlier than agreed. We decided to wait a little longer and were ultimately allowed to sit down at our originally reserved table, a little late. Since we are regular guests and already knew the wine list, we decided on a wine (which cost just under EURO 70.00 in April 2023) and was now listed on the wine list with the note “Price upon request”. We asked the waiter about the price of the wine. He told us this in mumbled words, which neither of us could understand in the busy restaurant. When we asked again about the exact amount, he just said: "95, but I'll ask the boss, maybe I can do 85 too." Since neither of us heard the amount "200" from the waiter, we assumed EURO 95.00 or EURO 85.00, to which we agreed and ordered this wine with our meal. When it came to billing, we literally had our spit stuck in our throats. The above wine was listed as follows: 1 Various drinks at 85.00 = 285.00 When we pointed out to the waiter that there must be a mistake, he called the waiter in charge, who offered us the wine. We told him about the obvious misunderstanding - he replied brusquely that he had told us the price and that we certainly wouldn't have asked about the price again. Suddenly another employee (possibly also the boss) stood at our table and immediately insulted us, for example with the words: “Do you think that we charge this price so that I can feed my family?” We don't know why this man suddenly got the idea that we had said something about his family... he could have saved himself the derogatory gesture. After a few unsuccessful attempts to explain our view of the situation, we no longer took part in this disrespectful discussion and paid the bill. We were also allowed to refill ourselves this very expensive wine throughout our stay… When we found out about the wine, “Rombone, Barbaresco DOCG 2016, Nada Fiorenzo” on the Internet a little later (by the way, it was the same vintage as in the restaurant), we discovered that this wine was offered at CHF 58.00. A simply disappointing and frustrating experience!!

Very attentive waiters, but the food was average. Shrimp skewers were very small. Spare ribs almost didn't fall off the bone. But the dessert was terrific. I have rarely had such a delicious tiramisu

I was there today with my wife. A great location is complemented by very good service staff. A great steak or grill menu. The salad plate with melon and ham, tomato mozzarella was very tasty...my wife had a mixed salad...dressing & freshness are recommended...Then came the main course...I had Charolais fillet with potato cratine...to die for! My wife turkey skewers with the same side dish... if you're here in Konstanz you have to go to the HEXENKÜCHE!!! We'll go there again...Thanks to the whole team at HEXENKÜCHE...keep it up.

Very disappointing experience! We arrived at our reserved table on time, as always as we are regular guests at this restaurant. However, we were told to stand aside and wait. We waited for more than ten minutes in the narrow, hot and crowded entrance hall without anyone from the staff coming to us to explain why we had to wait. After this long wait, we politely asked a waiter if we could sit at one of the obviously vacant tables. Unfortunately, our question was answered very rudely and flippantly. The waiter rudely explained to us that we had to wait because it was full. We then asked to speak to another waiter as the tone was unfriendly and disrespectful. The same waiter seemed offended and dismissed us from the restaurant without further ado. We are truly appalled by this unprofessional behavior and will definitely not visit this restaurant again after this incident. A very poor service experience and absolutely no hospitality!

Our lamb fillet was very good. The potato gratin, well. Tiramisu was also very good. The service was correct and good. But friendliness was missing. The interior has a style like it did 50 years ago.

Unfortunately, the witch's kitchen is no longer recommended. The quality of the food is average at best with excessive prices. On top of that, as a guest you will be treated extremely badly by unprofessional staff. We dared to intervene when the main course was more or less placed on top of the starters we were still eating. The main course was then taken away with a lot of unnecessary fuss and served to us again immediately after we finished the starter. Apart from the fact that we weren't even given a minute's break to sip our wine or let alone go to the toilet, we were presented with the main courses that were just lukewarm. We dared to ask for our food to be warmed up. The waiter asked for the temperature to be checked when he brought us the reheated food so that we wouldn't complain again, as he said. But this time too the plates were cold and the food was only quickly heated up. From then on we were just looking forward to coffee and dessert in another restaurant and said nothing more. Despite all this, we showed goodwill and added a tip of 5 euros to the 200 euros bill for the three of us. The peak happened when we left the restaurant. The very tense-looking waiter came rushing straight towards us. He snapped at us that our complaints were not justified, especially since they had done their best and it was impossible for other guests to notice that complaints were being made. Luckily we have the choice where we want to stop for a second time and where we don't. We will certainly no longer choose the witch's kitchen.

I was in the Witch's Kitchen a few years ago and was really looking forward to my visit last night. However, it was a major disappointment. After an aperitif, the starters were served. As soon as we started with the starter, the main course was brought out. The potato gratin was served cold. We directly addressed the pace, as well as the cold plates. This was not discussed in great detail. One of the service people said we should only speak to him, even though he wasn't the only one serving us. At the end, as we were leaving, one of the service people complained about the way we addressed the problem (which was respectful and friendly) instead of apologizing. Of course we didn't have coffee or dessert there anymore. Food very mediocre in taste, carelessly prepared, served cold. Service was very amateurish, unfriendly and stressed - in the end very brazen. It was my last visit there and I strongly recommend it!

The witch's kitchen was once something in Konstanz. That's over. On our last visit the food was consistently tough, greasy and bland. An example: I don't go to a steakhouse and then eat spare ribs that haven't been pre-cooked before grilling.

Despite the always very busy days with high capacity, the service is always friendly and the delicious food is definitely worth trying.

When I go to a well-rated steakhouse, my expectations are correspondingly high. The spareribs were okay but far from "the meat comes away easily from cooking". Querying the doneness is the basis. But delivering these is a completely different matter. The pretty pattern on the meat: simply burnt for me. The sauces are nothing special (the spiciness is quite mild). Are the fried potatoes on the soggy side, cooked too long before frying? Unfortunately there are no fries. There wouldn't have been a need for an extra portion of bread if there had been bread from scratch. There were just a few slices of ordinary, long-sliced ​​brown bread; a baguette might be a nice alternative. The ambience is great, if the rest were also right, it would be an insider tip.

Unfortunately no. The quality of the meat was below average, the service was disorganized and it didn't really taste good. My conclusion: Price and performance weren't right, so we'll probably try somewhere else.

Spontaneously looked for a table for 3 and ended up in this beautiful, rustic restaurant through the recommendation of another restaurant (Turm). What is surprising is the open grill/stove at the entrance to the restaurant. The grill master and all the waiters are on point. Fast, friendly, very hard working and always interested in the guest's well-being. The Hexenspies is a little smaller, but you can enjoy more side dishes with it. The food and drinks were top and recommended. We will be back!

Spontaneous decision without a table reservation on an early Saturday evening wasn't a problem, because the service staff had two seats at the counter for us and it didn't really get full until around 7 p.m. Very cozy and stylish interior, extremely friendly service, excellent steaks and side dishes! And all at fair prices. 👌 Also very central location, easily accessible on foot, bike, car, public transport. However, there is no accessibility (stairs/steps).

Sehr freundliches Personal und ausgezeichnetes Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre

Wir haben vom hervorragenden Restaurant gehört und wollten uns das Abendessen hier nicht entgehen lassen. Obschon unser Hund immer mit uns unterwegs ist, hatten wir volles Verständnis dafür, dass dieses Restaurant wegen der offenen Küche, den vier Beinern kein Zulass gewährt. Unser Hund hat auf uns im Auto gewartet und wir hatten den Eindruck, dass er dort ungestört seinen Träumen nachgehen konnte. Die Fleisch-, Fisch- sowie Vegetarischen Gerichte sind absolut köstlich. Das Personal ist speditiv und sehr freundlich unterwegs. Das Ambiente ist rustikal, gemütlich und Vermittler einer wohligen Wärme. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen.

Gehe dort seit 7 Jahren immer wieder hin und bin noch nie enttäuscht worden! Der Chef steht selbst am Grill und grillt die leckeren Steak's(besonders zu empfehlen die Teufelsoße, falls ihr auf Pikant steht!). Würde empfehlen vorher zu reservieren ansonsten kann es sehr gut sein, dass ihr kein Tisch bekommt! War gestern (17.11.23) wieder da und haben wir immer abgeliefert! Macht weiter so!!!

Bester Ort zum Steak essen in Konstanz!

Das Ambiente war sehr schön ganz oben hinten, da ist es nicht eng und auch kein Durchgangsverkehr. Gleich um 17.00 Uhr ist auch noch nicht so viel los und der Service war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Essen wie immer sehr gut Filetsteak, Lammfilet, und auch der Salat mit feiner Soße. Die Teufelssoße ist in Konstanz ungeschlagen.

Endlich mal ein Steak das man nicht nachwürzen musste. Super Lecker, Service schnell und Freundlich. Eine Reservierung wäre zu empfehlen.

Das Fleisch hat eine Top Qualität 10 von 10 Punkten das Ambiente ist auch gemütlich und richtig schön. Aber der Rest ..... ist eher lieblos und man könnte mehr daraus machen. Freundlichkeit der Bedingung..... so was habe ich noch nie erlebt und ich gehe sicherlich nicht mehr dorthin gehen.

Die rustikale Atmosphäre und die herzliche Begrüßung setzen den perfekten Rahmen für ein exquisites Essen. Das Personal ist äußerst aufmerksam und kenntnisreich. Mein Kellner war begeistert von den Gerichten und bot erstklassige Empfehlungen. Das Rumpsteak , das ich genoss, war schlichtweg perfekt zubereitet, saftig und von herausragender Qualität. Die Beilagen und hausgemachten Saucen ergänzten den Genuss. Die Getränkeauswahl war beeindruckend. Die Preise sind fair und spiegeln die Qualität wider. Insgesamt ist die Hexenküche ein Muss für Steak-Liebhaber. Ich freue mich auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Wurden eingeladen und waren baff. Essen auf hohem Niveau. Plätze müssen unbedingt reserviert werden. Man hat ein Zeitfenster zum Essen von 2 Stunden. Völlig ausreichend. Der Andrang ist sehr hoch

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen, die Steaks egal welche Art sind sehr zu empfehlen. Trotz großem Stress wurden wir sehr freundlich bedient und es war sehr angenehm wenn auch etwas laut, aber irgendwie gehört das ja auch dazu....das ist Leben....wir kommen gerne wieder, weiter so...

Gestern erste Mal da gewesen. Fazit: Filetsteak auf den Punkt (ich liebe englisch-bleu). Zart wie Butter! Wartezeit ca. 15 Minuten. Kostet zwar, aber war es Wert. Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir kommen wieder!

Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und auch die Portionen haben auf jeden Fall eine gute Größe gehabt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und kompetent. Ambiente war wirklich schön. Es gibt einen tollen Innenraum mit Blick auf den offenen Grill/Kochbereich und einen schönen Außenbereich zum Sitzen. Die Toiletten waren sauber und gut zu finden. Man sollte allerdings vorher reservieren, da sehr viel los war. Ohne Reservierung kann es zu Wartezeiten kommen. Preise sind den Gerichten entsprechend angehoben, aber bei so einem guten Gericht zahlen wir gerne etwas mehr. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können die Hexenküche definitiv weiter empfehlen.
