Herzogstubn in Erding

The Herzogstubn in Erding - the best example of Bavarian hospitality - I visit Erding from Switzerland several times a year. A must every time and my favorite restaurant in Erding. Even entering the restaurant is super hospitable - even if I eat alone I feel super comfortable. Very nice welcome for ALL guests - whether young, old, local or tourist, everyone is welcome and warmly greeted. Really very nice and courteous staff. The food is fresh, regional and creative and the quantities are rather large by Swiss standards. Nobody goes home hungry. Everything is recommended - but spareribs are certainly a special recommendation and the Kaiser Schmarn for dessert - freshly prepared and great. Even if you have almost no space left, be sure to order. If you don't like it anymore, it can be packed up for home. Ah yes and Wednesday is schnitzel day - creative schnitzel dishes at fair prices and top quality. And definitely order a fine Erdinger Weissbier or Erdinger Brauhaus or a seasonal Erdinger beer specialty with your meal. Simply great. I can highly recommend an Erdinger Pikantus for an aperitif. The Gaststibr is filled with music - top music from everything. A little louder and dimmed light later in the hour - then a more relaxed atmosphere and more of a bar business - but if you're eating late, you'll be asked if it's okay with the light and Music. Overall, a great atmosphere and beautiful decorations adapted to the season. It would be great if there was a place like this in Switzerland - I would be a regular 🥰

On our last evening in Bavaria we chose this restaurant in Erding. We can only agree with the good reviews. We had the spareribs, the beer goulash and finally the Kaiserschmarrn - everything was excellent. I even loved the side salad. You can tell the care from the kitchen. :) The portions are large, the prices are justified. The service is warm, very attentive and courteous. We felt very comfortable. Thank you for everything!

Happened ~2 years ago but my review was removed. So here I put it a little better, but with the old prices before inflation: As a naive guest, I was unfortunately misguided and had to pay €3.90 more than I thought. I said yes when the waitress asked me if I would like a small salad with my lunch dish. I thought that was part of the daily menu. In other restaurants there is usually always a salad or soup for lunch. Should pay €7.90 + €1.90 according to the daily menu. I didn't see the normal menu at all. In the end I paid €13.70. Always look at the menu first before you say yes or ask for the price. Otherwise the food was good.

The best economy there is in Erding. Super pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and very good food. There is nothing better in Erding, I can only recommend the restaurant to everyone

Wednesday is schnitzel day! Ok, for 14.90 you can try out the somewhat expensive restaurant! Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and spaetzle. Unfortunately the sauce was very bland. The taste of the mushrooms was weak. All in all, this meal doesn't convince me to try the other expensive dishes.

There were nine of us and we had booked a table. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, I had the old Bavarian venison ragout. Just great, we had lava cake for dessert 🤤.

A little gem in the middle of Erding

All in all just wow!!! This is how you imagine a restaurant. Very cozy, great ambience, absolutely great service and simply delicious food. We had the onion roast and the daily menu of loin with mushroom cream sauce and spaetzle. Everything was just great!!! Please keep it up!!! If we are nearby we will definitely come back!!!!

You could order food as early as 4 p.m. (Wednesday is schnitzel day). The service was very nice, the food came quickly and the atmosphere was great.

A very nice restaurant in the city centre. The wooden furniture and the combination between ancient and modern interior design give very cosy atmosphere of the place. The staff is polite and welcoming, the cuisine is very good! The menu offers both vegetarian and meat dishes. The price/quality ratio is excellent. The porrions are extremely big, but fair enough for hungry people. I'd recommend the spare ribs and the wiener schnitzel with veal. The potato salad was the weak part here, it had somehow "leftover" taste and was different from the ones we've already tried in the region. Apart from this, everything was siply fine! The beer and the coffee were top! Thank you for your hospitality!

Erster Besuch war Klasse, hoffentlich bleibt das so. 😍 Edit: Muss meine Bewertung leider ändern. Der erste und zweite Besuch war klasse. Die ca. 3-4 Besuche danach eher nicht. Die Bedienungen sind teilweise gelangweilt von den Kunden, auf Fragen bezüglich der Karte wird gar nicht eingegangen. Das Essen ist überteuert und wird dem Preis nicht gerecht. Kann ich Zuhause 1000 Mal besser. Schade, war gerne hier.

At the start of school - as on many other occasions before - we were guests again in the Herzogstubn. The service and food were perfect as always! They lovingly looked after our well-being - as well as that of our children. Each of our chosen dishes was excellently prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the new paint in the interior, which was carefully and lovingly selected in terms of color and thus gives the entire ambience a cozy and elegant, cozy flair. All in all, it was once again a great pleasure for us to be guests in the Herzogstubn. Thank you for that.

The service was super super friendly and really quick. The food was absolutely top notch. The Erdinger Cordon Bleu was the tastiest Cordon Bleu I had ever eaten so far. Typical Bavarian cuisine. Very tasty and reasonable portions for a fair price. Beer garden right on the street, still cozy and large. We went there spontaneously on a Saturday around 2 p.m. and got a place without a reservation.

We were in Erding on business and were looking for an inn and became aware of the “Herzogstubn” because of the beautiful, inviting ambience in the outdoor seating area. As soon as we sat down we were served in an extremely friendly manner. We also received a detailed answer to a question regarding the differences between two pieces of meat on offer. That was an A with * for service. The meat was cooked to perfection and you can taste the freshness and quality. Card payment wasn't a problem either. All in all, we were super satisfied and will definitely come back if we are in the area for business.

A really nice place to eat... sitting outside in the summer with the best food and nice beer... the service is super friendly... you didn't have to wait long for the food and it was really delicious... Highly recommended... Price performance definitely appropriate...

The food was really impeccable and we were served quickly and in a good mood. Even if the tables in the outside area were a little crooked in places, it didn't bother us. We will come back when we are in Erding again.

The spare ribs were really disgusting, dry and definitely not fresh. The service was very nice, but you could have given a coffee on the house as compensation. Then I had bad stomach pains and nausea all night long. Unfortunately the first and last time here despite the beautiful location and friendly service.

We were there for the second time and we liked it again. Food was good, home-style. Super nice service and fast. If it doesn't rain you can also go to a small hotel. Sitting in the beer garden.

Perfect for sunny days. Had lunch there on Tuesday. Good service and high quality high chair. We had an onion roast twice, the spaetzle were homemade and were great, the meat was very soft and the doneness was perfect (I haven't had such a good onion roast for a long time), fried onions were crispy, but unfortunately the sauce spoiled the enjoyment. Unfortunately, it was very thin and tasted rather satisfying. It's a shame, but maybe the cook just had a bad day.

Were here today and it was schnitzel day :) Very tasty and large portions, we were happy with everything and will definitely come back on our next vacation!

Sorry, but the store really isn't working. Service on a Saturday was a total disaster! The roulade was 100% not homemade! I've never eaten something like this in a restaurant before. The pepper steak was a laughing stock! Ordered 3 times, and 3 times a different size... the onion roast was the worst ever. My son eats this in every restaurant, but here it's 5 minute slices of beef... everything like from a discount store! Never again! Prices absolutely exorbitant for this quality!!!!

The pancake soup is good. Also the currywurst. Salad a bit wilted and too sour.

We had 2x fried chicken salad and 2x white wine spritzer. Unfortunately, neither was on the menu. The salad was ok. The chicken appeared to be frozen. But the taste is okay. However, in my opinion the price was totally exorbitant! It was my mistake for not asking beforehand, but I didn't expect that 🫣 For the salad €20.90 each and for a wine spritzer €7.90! Cost of goods per person approx. €6? I actually think that's far too much and that's why we won't be coming back. The service was very friendly.

Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service. Das Essen war hervorragend ( Alpenschnitzel) und als Nachspeise gab es einen Kaiserschmarrn, der ebenfalls sehr lecker war und mit frischen Früchten garniert.

Ich hatte den Backhädnl Salat der war ganz okay ich habe leider nur a echtes bayerisches Händel erwartet und kein hünchen mit 4 Kilo Panade, die Bedienungen sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Was mich persönlich stört sind die Preise beim Essen noch grade so vertretbar aber für einen Spezi 0,4 L 4,90 zu verlangen ist schon unverschämt Portionen fallen eher klein aus von unserem Tisch wurde leider keiner satt

Gerne wieder. Service Top, Ambiente sehr einladend, Essen war auch lecker. Rippchen waren etwas Trocken, kann aber passieren und hat trotzdem sehr satt gemacht. Das Schnitzel ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Ein wunderbares Restaurant mit leckeren Speisen und Getränken, die zwar ihren Preis haben, aber qualitativ gerechtfertigt sind. Wir waren nun das dritte Jahr in Folge zu Gast. Leider wurden das Schnitzel Wiener Art und der Zwiebelrostbraten mit Spätzlen von der Speisekarte genommen. Diese waren jedes Jahr unsere Favoriten. Vielleicht schaffen sie es ja bis nächstes Jahr wieder auf die Karte. Aber auch die Alternativen haben uns nicht enttäuscht.

Wir haben nur Kaffee und Kuchen gegessen,aber der Kuchen war riesig und sehr lecker. Das Personal war ausserdem super nett. Einige Autos sind gefahren,haben aber nicht gestört 😉

Sehr tolles Restaurant mit schickem Ambiente, eine schöne Mischung aus klassischem Wirtshaus und modernem Lokal ohne kitschig zu sein. Das Essen war Top, die Auswahl ist gut aber nicht überladen. Der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend, alles in allem eine tolle Lokalität.
