"Herzog von Nassau" in Vallendar

Wir waren an einem Sonntag Mittag vor Ort. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und haben zum Start einen Gruß aus der Küche erhalten. Wir hatten alle samt Schnitzelvariationen bestellt. Diese waren Spitzenklasse vor allem im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Gerade die Größe für den Preis findet man so nicht häufig. Auch der Service war sehr sympathisch und vorallem Flott. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich 6 Sterne geben!

Sehr leckeres, qualitativ hochwertiges Essen, reichliche Portionen zu fairen Preisen. Toller Service, angenehme Atmosphäre. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren als Familie an einem Dienstagabend dort. Viele andere Restaurants im Dorf hatten geschlossen. Beim Eintritt versprühte ein Ultra hell erleuchteter Kronleuchter das Ambiente eines Bahnhof-Wartesaals. Der sehr freundliche Kellner (in Freizeitkleidung), drehte diesen aber auf Wunsch etwas runter. Die Portionen (TK Ware) sind reichlich bemessen. Hintergrundmusik gibt es nicht. Alles in allem wirkt das ganze etwas dilettantisch. Man wird aber satt und gut und freundlich bedient. Trotzdem könnte man mehr draus machen !

Schnitzel waren gut,der Salat sehr sauer in Sosse ertränkt.Der Service etwas unprofessionell. Der Teller würde unten komplett mit Sosse versaut.Nicht abgewischt und einfach noch eine Serviette auf den Tisch gelegt.Die Einrichtungen ist in die Jahre gekommen.

Waren mit 8 Personen dieser Tage dort. Das Essen war mal wieder spitze. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist einfach unschlagbar dort. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich- sehr empfehlenswert.

Volle Punktzahl in allen Bereichen! Wir sind am Freitagabend mit 2 Personen spontan hier Essen gegangen. Die Schnitzel waren hervorragend! Die Mitarbeiter super freundlich. Man hat sich einfach wohl gefühlt! Preise sehr gut, Portionsgrößen top! Leider nicht aus der Gegend, sonst würden wir öfter kommen!

Personal sehr freundlich Essen sehr lecker und frisch. Die Preise sind sehr günstig. Wenn ich noch mal in der nähe bin werde ich wieder dort essen. Wir waren zu fünft und der Preis mit Getränken und Espresso lag bei 95 Euro.

Ich liebe dieses Feeling, du trinkst ein Bier und isst sehr gutes Essen. In der Ecke sitzt ein altes Männer Trio und Spiel ein Karten Spiel. Es läuft entspannt Musik und man genießt den Moment. Hier passt alles. Nur zum empfehlen.

Woooow, das Essen war der Knaller. Wir haben vorab bestellt und das Essen mit nach Hause genommen. Trotz 20 Minuten Anfahrt waren die Schnitzel noch total knusprig. Meine Empfehlung ist das Cordon bleu.

We were a group of 40 guests at the Herzog von Nassau and had a truly wonderful evening. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was impeccable. All in all, we had a fantastic time, and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

It's a homely, no-nonsense restaurant with very friendly service. The Croatian food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the value for money is good. If you want a good meal with friends, this is the place for you. If you value a glamorous ambiance, this is probably not the place for you. My recommendation is the "Herren-Toast" (men's toast)!

Whether buffet, a la carte or just for a birthday like me the delicious grill plate so it is definitely worth it

We ate at the "Herzog von Nassau" and were very satisfied. The Croatian cuisine is highly recommended: the portions are generous, the prices fair, and the food tastes excellent. A particularly positive aspect: the dishes are not over-seasoned, but rather very well-balanced. Also worth mentioning is the very attentive and courteous service of the waiter, who almost single-handedly runs the operation. A restaurant we are happy to recommend.

We were there yesterday, Sunday evening. The decor (seating) didn't make a great impression (some of it was worn). The two young men tried hard. Unfortunately, my wheat beer was too warm, and the next one couldn't be served cold either. The food was quite good and plentiful. I like that they offer "senior-friendly plates/portions."

Our food was okay, but nothing more. Cordon Bleu from the deep fryer, so-so. The two guys serving try their best, but have no basic knowledge of service. It's a shame.

First of all, we had to wait about one to one and a half hours for the food to be served. Furthermore, the service staff behaved extremely unprofessionally and spoke to my grandmother in such a rude manner that this will have repercussions. The next point I have to point out is that the cevapcici are definitely frozen, recognizable by the clearly analogous shape of the product and the industrial flavor! Overall, all I can say is that if you want to go to a good Croatian restaurant, you'd be better off getting frozen food from the supermarket than eating there!!!! Not many thanks for the food.

Classic inn atmosphere with separate group room, a few outside bibs. We were there with a group of 20 people (registered), friendly welcome, quick, attentive service, everything ran like clockwork, sensational, inexpensive lunch even with a greeting from the kitchen, generously sized portions. With my Steak Hawai, the fries were even served in a small bowl so they stayed nice and warm.

Went to dinner with 16 people and everything went great! The quality and quantity of the food was great and the portions were large. Super nice service, I think we'll go there again.

We stopped by there spontaneously and received a very friendly welcome. We ordered steak and paprika schnitzel. Before that there was a small greeting from the kitchen in the form of a baguette slice with a paprika and cheese spread. The food was freshly prepared, we could hear the schnitzels being made in the kitchen. THE schnitzels were huge but above all very tasty. Next time I will order the senior portion. 😉My son was able to enjoy what was left at home. It was very nice and we will happily recommend it to our friends and family. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable👍. So we will come again.

We spontaneously went to dinner at the Herzog after a trip to Sayn Castle. The service was very attentive and nice. The child-friendliness was particularly great, which is not always a given with 4 children. The food was very tasty, the portions were generous, the meat was juicy and the dessert was also really tasty. We would be happy to come back on our next trip

"Four of us were there for lunch and the food was excellent! I had the daily menu for 8.50 euros, which consisted of a really tasty chickpea soup, fried calamari with French fries, a large side salad and a small ice cream with raspberry sauce. The calamari They weren't the usual rings in fat beer batter, but really of good quality, the salad was crisp and fresh, the fries were hot, and I wouldn't have expected the dessert to be so good either was exceptionally friendly. The price-performance ratio in the Herzog von Nassau is great, and in Vallendar I only find the grape better (which of course is in a completely different league, also in terms of price). I'd love to come back!" - that was my original review. However, the owner has apparently changed in the meantime. There has been no lunch offer since then, and in my opinion the quality of the food has drastically decreased.

Grill plate with 6 types of meat [for 1 person] with rice and fries. Very rich and tasty. The schnitzel dishes are also very rich and tasty. The sauce for the Jägerschnitzel tasted really good. Price-performance absolutely justified. Therefore absolute recommendation.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Die guten Bewertungen haben uns hier her verschlagen aber wir wurden total enttäuscht. Das Fleisch war keine gute Qualität.. daher wohl auch der moderate Preis. Ambiente: riesige Trockenlumen, fleckige Tischdecke und Getränkepreise auf Bierdeckeln. Das Restaurant ähnelt einer Dorfkneipe.. passend dazu gibts eine Kegelbahn im hinteren Teil. Wir können es absolut nicht weiterempfehlen!

Der Herzog von Nassau bietet sehr gute kroatische Küche mit großen Portionen zu einem ansprechenden Preis. Sowohl mein Grillteller, als auch das Putenschnitzel, welches meine Frau verzehrte, waren hervorragend. Dieses Lokal sieht uns gerne wieder.

Freundlicher aufmerksamer Service, das Essen sehr lecker-reichlich, das Ganze zu einem Toppreis. Hingehen und genießen, da das Ambiente auch stimmt.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal im Herzog. Sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher Service; die Balkan-Platte für 2 war sehr hübsch angerichtet, sehr sehr lecker und hätte locker 3 Personen satt gemacht. Hier werden wie sicher noch öfter essen!

Freundlicher und fixer Service-schmackhafte Gerichte und wirklich ordentliche Portionen auch für den hungrigen Gast zum Sattwerden...

Wir waren Sonntag Mttags essen gegangen. 2 X Jägerschnitzel einmal Schweinefilet mit Champingons und einmal Hirschgulasch mit Klöße. Die Portionen waren riesig, dazu gab es einen tollen Salat und zum Abschluss noch einen Schnaps aufs Haus. Die Bedieneung war sehr freundlich, kam ein paarmal an den Tisch und hat nachgefragt, ob es einen Wusch gibt, und ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Hirschgulasch war sensationell, eine riesn Portion, superzart, mit toller Soße, zwei Knödel, Rotkohl und Preiselbeeren mit Birne. Das Hirschgulasch war an diesem Sonntag für unschlagbare 14,90 im Angebot. Fazit. Selten so gut und Preiswert gegessen. Komme gerne wieder.
