Gasthaus Bembermühle in Vallendar

Das war leider eine Enttäuschung. Holzfällersteak mit Zwiebeln, leider versalzen, und das Nackensteak war so durchwachsen, dass ich es nur zur Hälfte essen konnte. Der Salat war lieblos und fantasielos. Die Bratkartoffeln waren gut. Man muss wissen, das man auf der Terrasse gleich neben einem Kuhstall sitzt. Die Landluft muss man mögen. Und die Stechmücken auch. Das Lokal ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Service war bemüht.

Hier kann man gut einkehren. Das Essen war schmackhaft. Mal etwas anderes. Nach einem schönen Spaziergang kann man sich hier gut erholen. Freundliches Personal. Lohnt sich hier mal vorbei zu schauen.

Wir waren zu einem Familienessen vor Ort mit Reservierung. Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist absolute Spitzenklasse und darüber hinaus auch noch sehr günstig. Von 6 Personen unserer Gruppe aßen drei das Rumpsteak und waren (besonders bei dem Preis von nur 25,50€) restlos begeistert von der Qualität und der Zubereitung des Fleisches. Die Getränke sind ebenso preislich sehr fair gestaltet. Die Auswahl an Bier und Wein ist angemessen und gut ausgewählt. Wer hier nach einer Wanderung oder auch angereist mit dem Auto (Parkplätze sind direkt vor'm Haus verfügbar) einen schönen Tag/Abend mit authentischen Wirtsleuten und einem fabelhaften Essen haben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Im Sommer ist auch der Außenbereich sehr einladend, um ein Stückchen Kuchen oder ein Aperölchen in der Sonne zu genießen.

Wow !! Durch Zufall auf dieses Lokal gestoßen. Wir haben zu Fuß den Waldweg genommen um hier einzukehren. Das Essen fantastisch und das zu mehr als fairen Preisen . Sehr ehrliche Küche , alles frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Der Service top , alle sehr freundlich. Hund mit rein ist garkein Problem.

Wir wollten mit fünf Personen Gans essen gehen und hatten dies telefonisch angekündigt sowie einen Tisch reserviert. Am Tag unseres Besuchs war leider keine Gans mehr verfügbar, zudem konnte keine Reservierung im System gefunden werden. Wir entschieden uns daraufhin für andere Gerichte, die nach der Bestellung recht zügig serviert wurden. Die französische Zwiebelsuppe war geschmacklich sehr gut, allerdings etwas zu salzig. Auch meine Käsespätzle waren stellenweise deutlich überwürzt. Ein Gericht wurde leider komplett vergessen und kam gar nicht erst an den Tisch. Für mich war es leider der letzte Besuch, da ich bereits bei einem früheren Aufenthalt sehr lange auf mein Getränk warten musste. Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass Kartenzahlung möglich ist und ausreichend Parkplätze direkt vor dem Restaurant vorhanden sind.

Sehr urige Wirtschaft im Wald. Der Service war sehr nett und schnell. Das Essen war gut. Meinem Mann hat das Waldläuferschnitzel sehr gut geschmeckt. Leider hatten meine Ochsenbäckchen so viel Fett, dass ich kaum die Hälfte davon essen konnte. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist super. Wir kommen gern nochmal im Sommer wieder.

For me, the Bembermühle restaurant is the best German restaurant in the Koblenz area. Excellent, authentic cuisine, always fresh and prepared to perfection. The cozy ambiance and friendly service perfectly round out the visit. Highly recommended.

...finally open again...now open again after the chef's illness...perfect cuisine (be sure to order the fresh, crispy fried trout from our own farm, or the rump steak!!!).... beautiful outdoor area...with large parasols...our favorite stop during hikes and e-bike tours...all at reasonable prices with the friendliest service... No, you really don't need to cook at home...absolutely recommended!!!

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. Despite making an early reservation in March 2025 for a special occasion—my brother-in-law's 60th birthday—we were extremely disappointed. A few days before our appointment, the owner called us to inform us that, due to overbooking, there was no outdoor seating available for us, even though the weather was perfect. This was very frustrating, but we thought we would find a solution on the day itself. But on the day of our event, we were still only seated inside, even though we had expressly reserved in advance. The table wasn't even decorated, which is extremely disappointing for such a significant occasion. We knew the other party celebrating outside personally, and they suggested we sit at two free tables. Instead, an unpleasant discussion ensued with the owners, who ultimately even asked us to leave the restaurant. This was not only unprofessional but also extremely disrespectful. Overall, the organization was disastrous, the service unfriendly, and the treatment of our group was simply unacceptable. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant for such an important event – ​​on the contrary, I am very disappointed and annoyed by the way they were treated and the lack of professionalism.

I haven't been here for a long time but was pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, plentiful and nicely prepared. Overall, of course (as you would expect from a home-style restaurant) it was rather meat-heavy, but there was also a bowl, falafel and spaetzle on the menu. Since we went on a winter hike there, we were happy that it was nice and warm in the restaurant. Gladly again.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed! After waiting 25 minutes and no one came to take a drink order or bring menus, we made our way to the counter. The waitress who then came to the table looking bored couldn't give any information about the drinks and didn't have any cards with her! We then got it ourselves! When we finally placed our orders, we were told quite abruptly when the food was brought that it was called a children's plate and not a teenager's plate! We didn't know that, the children 11 and 14, not a word was said about either order! This has never happened to us in any restaurant before, being exposed as if you didn't want to pay for a full meal! Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't good that evening either, and I don't think we'll be going to Bembermühle again!

Restaurant closed. No reference to this on the internet. When we arrived there were around 50 students and adults outside who unfortunately could not be accommodated. We think that in such a remote place it is not enough to hang a note on the restaurant's display board. You could definitely have put a notice about the closed restaurant on the first notice board on the outskirts of Höhr- Grenzhausen. Beate and Peter Rahn from Solms

Visited the Bembermühle for the first time. Only had drinks. But there is an interesting variety of dishes on the menu, so we will go here again for dinner. Pleasant service...

We stopped here one afternoon after a short hike. Unfortunately, the service neglected us structurally, hence the deduction. There are 5 stars for the ambience and food! The food was really delicious and the price/performance ratio was also right. Gladly again! And maybe still work on the service :)

After a walk along the Waldschluchtenweg we stopped here. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We had coffee and cake, both very good. The toilets were clean. Access is also possible for people with disabilities. We'd love to come back.

We had coffee this afternoon and were informed that the kitchen would be open again from 5pm. That's why we decided to enjoy our dinner straight away. The portions are mega and therefore the price-performance ratio is great, thank you!

Yesterday we were at Bembermühle for the second time in a few weeks. The first time there was no reason to complain, the food was great and the service staff were very friendly. Because of yesterday's experience, we still won't be coming back. Yesterday it was very busy, so we were told that we should bring our time. It took quite a while before we could order. It can happen, no problem. Due to the lack of space, other guests joined our table. When a place in the sun became available, we spontaneously changed places. Since the waitresses were very busy, we couldn't communicate this immediately. When we did it, we were told not once, not twice, but three times by different people in front of the entire team that it wasn't possible and that rebooking the table would be a huge effort. Letting more people at the table (i.e. sharing bills) doesn't seem to work at all... One wonders how other restaurants with the same cash register systems can solve such problems... We have our order, which we hadn't received yet. Then, by the way, they canceled and left without having achieved anything.

A very good meal. Nice, good menu. A little too long waiting times. The nice ambience and nice service make up for the waiting time.

Completely overwhelmed staff, it's a shame it could have been better. We were there on May 1st, after a nice hike, and wanted to order something to drink, we were told if we didn't have a seat, we wouldn't get anything to drink. It couldn't be worse, 🤮we won't be coming back. Thank you for nothing!

The waitresses are really friendly and accommodating. One dish was an absolute disgrace, with rotten avocados and pieces of bone in the chicken. When asked about this, the chef becomes angry and insulting. Apparently not interested in additional customers.

Sensational home-style cuisine with very good service!

We were there with a larger group (about 40 people). We had reserved in advance and stated our meal preferences. Apparently the innkeeper had prepared very well because the food was brought quickly and was of good quality. The conditions were very friendly and attentive. The prices were absolutely fine. We will come back.

Wir waren schon einmal im Sommer hier. Daher kannten wir das Lokal bereits. Schön abgelegen, mitten im Wald. Traumhafte Kulisse. Gerade im Sommer herrlich, im Herbst/ Winter ist es eine urige Wirtschaft. Haben nicht täglich geöffnet. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service, trotz gut besuchter Wirtschaft. Wir waren zu zweit und hatten jeder eine Vorspeisensuppe und ein Hauptgericht. Mein Freund hatte eine Gulaschsuppe und ich eine Rinderkraftbrühe mit Markklößchen. Ich muss sagen: fabelhaft. (Bereits im Sommer war die Zwiebelsuppe ein Highlight!) Ich hatte das Waldläuferschnitzel mit Pommes und Beilagensalat. Qualitativ sehr gut, alles frisch. Mir hat mein Schmand(?)schäumchen gefehlt, was ich beim letzten mal drauf hatte und so lecker fand, der Beilagensalat ist vielseitig undsehr lecker. Alles in allem hätte das Hauptgericht für mich etwas würziger sein können, was aber auch an mir liegen kann. Optisch könnte man - wenn man will - innen noch etwas gemütlicher machen. Aber auch das ist Geschmackssache. Wir waren durchaus zufrieden und kommen sicher wieder.

Bestes Restaurant weit und breit. Der Koch ist ein Genie, die Preise in Ordnung! Wir haben dort noch nie etwas gegessen, was nicht geschmeckt hat.

War mit Freunden am 27.10.23 das erste Mal in der Bembermühle. Urig im Wald liegend für mich ich sage Mal romantisch und schön gelegen. Die Gaststätte innen ebenfalls urig einfach gehalten passt alles Dann das Essen es war einfach nur gut ich hatte ein sogenanntes Eifeler Ofenkottelette mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat einfach gigantisch habe es nicht geschafft aufzu e essen ( das soll schon was heißen ) allen die dabei waren hat es geschmeckt .Super danke komme gerne wieder.

Die Bembermühle kenne ich seit meiner Kindheit. Sehr idyllisch im Wald gelegen. Man kann von Höhr- Grenzhausen mit dem Auto hin kommen, oder wandert bis dort hin. Von Vallendar ( Schönstadt) gibt es ein Parkplatz. Von dort wandert man. Auch wenn die Kritik kommt, dass man mehr aus dieser Location machen könnte, finde ich, dass der alte Charme, den ich noch kannte doch erhalten blieb. Es muss nicht jede Gastwirtschaft modern sein. Dafür ist das Essen super lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett. Das Fleisch hat eine hervorragende Qualität und ich selbst war überrascht, dass auf der Karte eine Bowl stand. Ich habe sie noch mit Kürbis-Spinat Falafel bestellt. Es hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Darauf kommt es letztendlich an.

Wir sind sehr froh, dass die Bembermühle wieder geöffnet hat. Sehr gutes Essen, freundliches Personal und nicht überteuert. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Weiter so

Immer wieder tolle Speisen mit viel Liebe gekocht. Der richtige Ort zum Abschalten.

Idyllisch im Tal des Waldschluchtenweg gelegen, urige Gaststätte mit nettem und freundlichem Personal, ausgezeichneter Speisekarte, klein aber fein, mit teilweise überdachten Biergarten.

Erst nach 12Uhr wird einem eine Speisekarte ausgehändigt. Bedienung ist eher unterdurchschnittlich, Wartezeiten auf Getränke und Essen sind sehr lange. Essen ist gut, aber nichts besonderes.

Idyllisch gelegen, bei größeren Gruppen lange Wartezeiten, Qualität und Anrichteweise des Essens leider nicht immer drei Sterne und eher lieblos, der Service war sehr bemüht.

Eine nette Ausflugs-Gaststätte, urig im Wald gelegen. Sehr leckere bodenständige Küche, auch für´s Auge schön anzusehen, zu absolut vernünftigen Preisen. Gut bürgerlich eben. Die Bembermühle ist jedoch nicht so ganz einfach zu finden. Daher hier mein Tipp: Gebt in Euer Navi "56203 Höhr-Grenzhausen, Schützenstrasse 74" ein. Am Ziel Schützenstrasse 74 seht ihr dann einen asphaltierten Weg, der in den Wald führt. Dieser Weg führt Euch direkt zur Bembermühle. Ihr müßt nur auf dem asphaltierten Weg bleiben.

War mit ein paar Freunden in diesem Lokal. Das Essen war uns dort empfohlen worden und das war nicht zu wenig versprochen. Für meinen Geschmack eine gute Küche. Die Preise waren normal und wir haben schön im Biergarten gesessen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Leider keine sotzmöglichkeiten draußen für Wanderer

Tisch reserviert und alles hat funktioniert! Trotz 20min Verspätung wurde der Tisch gehalten. Der Service durch „Sascha“ war einfach nur spitze! Sonderwünsche beim Essen wurden berücksichtigt und Extra‘s wurden prompt serviert. So stellt man sich einen gelungenen Besuch im Waldgasthof vor! Gerne wieder & weiter so ……….

Hier Zwischenstopp bei Fahrradtour durchgeführt. Schöne kalte Getränke, mein Essen (Salat mit Spiegelei und Bratkartoffeln) war lecker. Insbesondere die Bratkartoffeln möchte ich loben, ich habe häufig Probleme in Restaurants Bratkartoffeln wirklich knusprig und lecker zu finden. Hier nicht! ein Punkt Abzug weil das Ambiente ausbaufähig ist.

Nach einer schönen Wanderung schöne Erfrischung

Lecker Essen, kühle Getränke und eine Bedienung die sensationell sympathisch ist und ihren Job beherrscht! Immer wieder gern.
