A fantastic restaurant. Family-owned for decades. Great staff. Delicious food. Excellent value for money. I always enjoy coming here.

A very good Greek restaurant. We called spontaneously and were able to get room for five people. With typical Greek hospitality, they served ouzo. The food was delicious, each dip individually seasoned and beautifully presented. The portions could be a bit larger. We felt very comfortable and would eat there again.

Great Greek restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Called at 6:15 p.m. and immediately got a table for two at 6:30 p.m. – really great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious – we'd love to come back. Best wishes from Chemnitz.

Everything just works here!!! We (tourists) made a spontaneous reservation and were absolutely thrilled. The restaurant was packed, and we thought... But the staff (plenty of them) were very attentive and attentive. The food was great 😋. Even on such a busy evening, there was still time for a quick chat and recommendations from the staff. I don't want to go into too much detail, even though there are plenty of positive things to say! Let's keep it short: the food and service are top-notch, highly recommended! One more tip: Be sure to reserve a table, because it gets packed in the evenings! And yet you still feel welcome, and the drinks and food are served in no time! Yes, of course!

We were there for lunch. It was very busy, but most people already had their food. The service was very reserved and lackluster. We waited an extremely long time for our menus and food. The portions were a bit small, but it was only the lunch special. Otherwise, the food was excellent, fresh, and delicious.

Paying 18.90 for a plate of gyro and then going home hungry isn't what I'm looking for, and it's something I've rarely experienced. What little was on the plate was very tasty, but we definitely won't be coming back.

We ate there as part of a larger group and were not satisfied. One member of the group wrote a review which the restaurant is completely unfounded in. Hence my impressions - the portions are very small, the food, in particular the Metaxa sauce, was not tasty - it was sweet. When we asked, in a justified way, whether everything was OK, the response was simply "it has to be that way". The only strange thing about it is that this was the only sweet Metaxa sauce we have been served so far. Our usual expectations were different. On top of that, it was very loud - you could still have a conversation at the table, but we did not find it pleasant.

Very friendly staff, extremely attentive. The food (no matter what it is: fish, meat, or vegetarian) is all delicious. We rarely pass up dessert either. 🤣 I highly recommend this Greek restaurant. Or maybe not? Otherwise, I won't be able to get a table myself 😆.

No, I can't recommend this place. After the company took action against a review by one of our group members for defamation, I'm sharing my experience here. The portions are very small; you won't leave the restaurant feeling full. The Metaxa sauce was sweet and tasteless at all – we raised this and were told that it was just the way it was. Well, that would be the first Greek restaurant we've been to – this wasn't the case at the others we've been to before. This gives the impression that criticism isn't welcome here.

I went to dinner today with my family – 21 people. We received an unfriendly and irritated welcome. No smiles, just unfriendly communication. It took an hour to place our order. When the food finally arrived – which was quick and tasty – it was too much to take another drink order. I wanted to order a round of ouzo and was told that it wasn't possible right then. Impossible. The young manager wasn't able to crack a smile, let alone thank us for the tip. We left the restaurant in frustration, even though the reservation had promised open-ended service. As we waited outside for the taxi, the remaining guests came out at 10:15 PM, having been practically thrown out because the lights had been turned off... Officially, the restaurant is open until 11:00 PM. I have no idea what her problem was that evening, but it's unacceptable to treat guests like that. Never again!!!

The food is tasty and the quantity is acceptable. The prices are reasonable. It's a nice/spicy change from kebabs, Chinese food, etc.

Despite friendly and attentive staff, our drinks were slow. The restaurant was moderately busy, so we were a bit irritated that the food took a relatively long time to arrive. The girls made up for the less than cheerful mood of their male colleagues with their commitment. The fries and salad as starters were the best. The devil's skewer is overrated in the menu description.

Our regular Greek restaurant since 1994. We warn our Berlin and Munich relatives to have a family Easter dinner as a must every year at Herkules. Ate Easter lamb yesterday, delicious as always.

Unfortunately, the food portions have become smaller, and the prices have doubled in some cases. For example, gyros used to be €11.00 and now cost €19.00. The salads have shrunk considerably. A real shame.

Wir waren als Familienfeier zum Abendessen. Gleich beim Eintreten wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und zur der sehr schön geschmückten Tafel begleitet. Sofort gab es ein Begrüßungsgetränk und in aller Ruhe konnten wir dann die Getränke auswählen, die sehr schnell gebracht wurden. Das vorher bestellte Essen begann mit einer großen Auswahl an Vorspeisen, bei deren Anblick schon das "Wasser" im Munde zusammen lief. Der Hauptgang war ebenso sehr liebevoll garniert und schmackhaft. Als große Überraschung gab es dann einige Platten mit verschiedenen Desserts. Toller Abend, toller Service, tolles Essen. Ein wunderschöner Abend - vielen Dank! Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has lost its focus on making its customers happy. You now pay €20 per dish, and you no longer get full because the dishes have become increasingly smaller. 15 fries and a tiny portion of suvlaki. The value of the food on the plate is about €5.50... The owners are trying to get rich by force... But the customers aren't getting full! It used to be a great place... But today was the last time...

We wanted to visit a different Greek restaurant, but were unfortunately very disappointed. The reception wasn't particularly friendly. We waited over 20 minutes for the menu. After ordering, we waited another 45 minutes. After asking, the food was finally brought to us. Food number 174 was lukewarm and didn't taste like what you would expect from a Greek restaurant. No seasoning, the steak was too thick. The tzatziki didn't taste homemade either, it tasted like something from a supermarket. The server who took the payment was annoyed and unfriendly. There was no point in rolling your eyes when you left the table. I definitely can't recommend this restaurant, it's a shame. It's just like it is.

Even as a child, I came here regularly with my family, and to this day, the quality, taste, and friendly service have not changed – on the contrary: It just keeps getting better! The food is consistently fresh, authentic, and prepared with love – whether it's grilled classics, seafood, or vegetarian dishes, everything is top-notch. I would especially like to emphasize the hospitality: The team is always attentive, friendly, and professional. You simply feel welcome and appreciated – like being with good friends. For me, there is no better place in Leipzig when it comes to Greek food. Once you've been here, you're guaranteed to come back. Highly recommended!

Friendly, fast, and delicious food. I was also offered the uzo for pickup! Unfortunately, two appetizers were forgotten in my pickup order. It's a shame about the money, but the real deduction is that now, whether I like it or not, I always have to open everything and check if my order is complete.

It was the first time we were there with 5 people because we were told that it should be good, which unfortunately wasn't the case. He was unfriendly and the food was all small meals for which he charged the full price, which was far too expensive for the portions. He then brought out the wrong food and was uncooperative and never wanted to take it away.

Sonntagabend, unser Gastgeber ruft im Restaurant an, weil sie ihn dort kennen und wir mit Hund kommen möchten. Kein Problem. Am Eingang gibt es kein „Guten Abend“ und kein Lächeln , sondern einen genervten „pffff“-Laut zur Begrüßung. Dass wir telefonisch reserviert haben, hört er nicht. Ich fühle mich nicht willkommen, sondern als Störfaktor. Wenig Betrieb, aber unsere 2 wirklich einfachen Gerichte bekommen sie trotzdem nicht hin. Das Essen hatte Imbissqualität. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich hyperkritisch bin, aber dieser Restaurantbesuch hat überhaupt keinen Spaß gemacht.

Whether the food tastes good is always a personal preference, but I've never had a Metaxa sauce at a Greek restaurant that tasted too sweet. I don't think a sweet sauce goes well with gyros. The portions were manageable, even for a Greek restaurant—even if the meal had tasted good, I wouldn't have felt full afterward.

Seldom eaten so badly! The appetizer “grilled peppers” never saw a grill, but probably came from the microwave and was coated with an artificial garlic paste. The main course “Hercules gyros gratinated” was completely inedible. Very little meat in a disgustingly sweet and watery metaxa sauce covered with a lot of cheese. The fries served with it were cold and stale. The dishes of the remaining 6 companions were also only lukewarm and tasted rather in the lower segment. We have eaten here for many years, but this was definitely the last time.

Yes, according to my friends in Leipzig, this is the best Greek restaurant in the city. There's also plenty of parking. The entire team, spanning several generations, is very pleasant and friendly. The lunch menu from Monday to Friday leaves nothing to be desired. The prices are very reasonable.

Six of us sat in the front area. It was pleasantly quiet, allowing us to have our own conversations without any background noise. Very friendly staff and fast service. Delicious food, a good selection, and fair prices. You can enjoy your time there without feeling rushed.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. Service was great, but the food was only warmed up and quickly cold, Metaxa sauce was much too sweet, the price-performance was subpar. Hopefully just an isolated case...

Friendly reception. Were escorted to a table. Sunday lunchtime was well filled. We still got a place without any problems. There was an ouzo on the house right at the beginning. A crisp salad too. Dishes were a decent portion. Everyone would be well fed. There is also an outdoor area for the warmer days. I can recommend it. Service good, tables are cleaned after every guest. Unfortunately I can't understand the good reviews. My girlfriend and I were disappointed. The food was way too salty and the vegetables tasted moldy. Price performance doesn't fit.

I was with you for the first time. Unfortunately, the drink I ordered, “apple spritzer,” was more water than anything else. Was reluctantly exchanged. After about an hour the “unfriendly” waitress came and took the order. After 2 hours the food was there. Unfortunately COLD!!!! I would be happy if it were a little friendlier and the food was warm.

We were guests here following an invitation. An extremely friendly business owner and a welcoming atmosphere greeted us as we entered. The food and drink menu was well sorted. The dishes we chose were extremely tasty and plentiful. We had a very nice evening.

Typical Greek restaurant with the usual hospitality. I can only complain about the somewhat sparse plate of the Zaganaki starter. Recommendation: the Zaganaki on a lettuce leaf and perhaps a little raw vegetables round off the picture of the tasty dish.

Overall good but still room for improvement. Unfortunately my meal was a bit small, only 5 croquettes with the gratinated gyros in Metaxa sauce. I was still hungry for it. The service could also have been a little friendlier. So things are getting better Paid a total of €65 including drinks for 2.

I'm currently just visiting Leipzig and just wanted to have something delicious Greek to eat and Hercules really did everything perfectly. You can park right in front of the restaurant and the waiters/waiters are all super friendly. A few minutes inside and my order was taken and despite the fact that it was very full on the terrace, my food came to the table within 15 minutes (Herculean plate) Mega! The food is very good and the price is right, you can't complain. All in all, when I'm back in Leipzig I'll come here again 😊

We've been eating there for several years now and it only gets better and even if you sometimes have to wait a bit, the visit is worth it every time.
