I'm currently just visiting Leipzig and just wanted to have something delicious Greek to eat and Hercules really did everything perfectly. You can park right in front of the restaurant and the waiters/waiters are all super friendly. A few minutes inside and my order was taken and despite the fact that it was very full on the terrace, my food came to the table within 15 minutes (Herculean plate) Mega! The food is very good and the price is right, you can't complain. All in all, when I'm back in Leipzig I'll come here again 😊

We've been eating there for several years now and it only gets better and even if you sometimes have to wait a bit, the visit is worth it every time.

It is very beautiful and you feel really comfortable and secure. They are very polite and friendly, as well as very helpful. Since I am seriously ill, my every wish will be fulfilled. I really like going there.

So it's probably not recommended for food since most of it is bought in a wholesale market. Nothing freshly prepared. Greek is different. Never go there again

That evening on June 30, 24, everything was actually bad in the restaurant, probably because it was closed in July. It started with the annoyed waiter, who wants to get his train at 11 p.m. and therefore doesn't wait longer than 10 p.m. Then it was announced that there would be no gyros or minced meat as it would be closed from tomorrow. If this had been communicated 48 hours in advance when making a telephone reservation for a group of 10 people, it would have been understandable. But accepting the reservation and not pointing out the circumstances wasn't possible at all. The kitchen closed at 9:30 p.m. You weren't even allowed to order drinks, the glasses still had to be washed. After you have found a meal, the next disappointment... the Metaxa sauce is actually just ketchup with cream and so completely without any Metaxa taste that even the food was returned. By far the worst restaurant experience in recent years.

The best Greek I've been to in a long time. The value for money for the lunch menu is great. The portion size is perfect and the taste is soooo good! We'll definitely be back!

We ordered our food to take away and unfortunately it was the worst food we have ever eaten. The Metaxa sauce is an extremely sweet tomato sauce and was inedible, so my entire meal ended up in the trash... Unfortunately never again

Our regular Greek restaurant since 1994. We warn our Berlin and Munich relatives to have a family Easter dinner as a must every year at Herkules. Ate Easter lamb yesterday, delicious as always.

Simply the best Greek in Leipzig. I've been coming here regularly since it opened in 1994 and have never been disappointed. Just go there, try it and be amazed. 😉

We recommend. Nice welcome from staff who accompany you to the table. The waiting time was a little longer than we are used to in a Greek restaurant. We really enjoyed the food. The Metaxa sauce was particularly tasty, really delicious. The sauce was excellent, we could have eaten it plain with a spoon, the sauce tasted so delicious. The meat was also tender and tasted great.

Food as always solid, nothing special but tasty. Unfortunately, the ambience is not worthy of a Greek. You could also sit in a German restaurant. It's a shame actually. Vegetarian dishes are also on offer, which is very commendable for a Greek restaurant 😀

Delicious food and a harmonious atmosphere. Portion sizes and prices are reasonable. A reservation is usually an advantage. We ate with our children this time and the staff were great with the kids (not just ours) and took the kids into account when ordering. Our junior was super proud after placing his order. We can still only recommend it.

Price-performance ratio wasn't right, food was cold, small portions, high price, had to wait a long time for my 2nd glass of wine, 3 glasses were charged on my bill. It doesn't work at all!

Fast service and good food. However, I was missing some sauce with the pangasius fillet with rice. That was pretty dry. Unfortunately Glossaki is no longer on the menu.

Cozy Greek restaurant that also offers enough space for larger groups. The food was of a good standard, although I found the portions a bit small for the prices (most dishes cost between €16-19). We were served quickly and friendly, the service was impeccable. The ambience with the dark wood and many reddish accents seems inviting - and a little old-fashioned. But that's a matter of taste. Had a short vacation in Leipzig and went out for dinner. Food very tasty and great service. The Greeks in our town can take an example from this. Restaurant highly recommended. 🔝

Always polite and friendly. There were six of us there today. Food arrived at the same time and special requests were responded to. Always a nice experience.

It was definitely our last visit. We used to like being here but now you just get checked in and the staff is annoyed. The main thing is that everything happens quickly so that the table can be occupied at least twice.

There has been less and less on the plate in recent years, but it is very tasty. The atmosphere in the outdoor area is not special because it is too loud, too narrow and too hectic

Recently I was eating here with a large group and what we were served was an absolute disgrace. The saganaki was simply thrown onto a plate with no love and no garnish except a lemon. We also noticed that the Metaxa sauce tasted different for everyone and for me it tasted especially like a ketchup and mayo mixture. The gyro wasn't done... does not belong to a Greek.

It was great, as always. is our local Greek, always friendly service and the food is excellent. You should always order on the weekend. We are still very satisfied across the board and often go there for lunch. 2x Martina, Sylvia, Lutz, Bernd and Holger from the big round table. Thanks to the entire staff. February 19, 2024

We came to the restaurant and had to wait until someone agreed to take us to a free table. I ordered gyros, you can't really go wrong. But I was a bit confused by the price-performance ratio. For almost 18 euros I can get something better at other Greek restaurants I've visited so far. The waitress only became friendlier after she got a tip. I probably won't eat there again.

The Herkules deserves an unreserved recommendation and is certainly one of the three best Greek restaurants in Leipzig. The gyros and tzatziki are delicious and the sheep's cheese is a poem. Gladly again!

Good, bustling atmosphere. The starters were definitely the best course, the mains were still very good but a little disappointing. Mixed grill had tasty lamb and liver, but the chicken was very dry. Beware that the calamari main course is not crispy fried calamari! Would still highly recommend this restaurant.

Wir waren mit 14 Personen hier und alle ware sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen, dem Service und dem Ambiente. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr gut besucht, vorbestellen ist ratsam. Essen ist Mittelklasse und nicht übermäßig viel. Getränkepreise sind ok, die Bedienung ist zum Teil sehr freundlich, aber eine kleine nachbestellte Portion Zaziki für die knapp 6€ berechnet wird, ist unverschämt. Man wird auch ganz pünktlich 23 Uhr nach draußen gebeten. Hier merkt man, dass sie es nicht nötig haben.

Superlecker, konstant seit Jahrzehnten. Das einzig Negative ist der unglaubliche Geräuschpegel in dieser, baulich abgefahrenen Location.

Alles bestens. Gutes Essen, nettes Personal. Ambiente ist auch gut. Im Sommer bestimmt noch schöner. Preis ,Leistung sind okay.

Essen war okay aber mehr nicht. Metaxadsauce hat geschmeckt wie eine süße Cocktailsauce. Die Portionsgröße hätte größer ausfallen können. Der Vorspeisensalat war garnix besonderes. Lieblos angemachter eisbersalat mit einer Olive drinnen. Das Fleisch der Hauptspeise war zart und der Ouzo war importiert aus Griechenland, was mich positiv überraschte. Fazit: Ich würde nicht nochmal wiederkommen für das Essen….. da bin ich besseres gewohnt.

Ich besuche dieses Lokal aus familiären Gründen seit 1995... Es hat sich in den vielen Jahren seit her wenig verändert. Essen ist geschmacklich immernoch super. Mitarbeiter freundlich und zuvorkommend - aber leider auch etwas abhängig vom Gastaufkommen, bzw. Stammkundschaft oder neue Gäste. Die neue Kellnerin (seit 5 o. 6 Jahren im Unternehmen) war für meine Begriffe sehr unprofessionell. Man hat schnell gespürt für wen sie persönlich Sympathie empfindet und wen sie nicht mag. Ich finde als Dienstleister sollte man allen ggü freundlich sein, zumindest so lange man ebenfalls höflich und freundlich ist. Ansonsten sehr sauber, gemütlich, familiär und besuchenswert 👌👌👌👌

Nette Bedienung mit guter Übersicht. Speisen wie erwartet sehr gut, Ouzo reichlich und Ambiente wie seit Jahren einladend und sauber.

Waren einige Male hier. Es ist eigentlich immer voll dort und das Personal super freundlich und geduldig. Auch wenn die kleinen mal ungeduldig sind. Ein tolles Restaurant dass sich schon lange hält und am Rande des Sportplatzes eher unscheinbar wirkt. Neben dem was man in D bei Ben Griechen erhofft oder erwartet gibt es auch etwas authentische Küche;). Das Personal ist immer gut drauf, aufmerksam und für n Spass (nicht die flachen üblichen) zu haben. Kommen gern hierher.

Der Abend war wie bei Freunden in Griechenland. Toller Service, super leckeres Essen, uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung

Absolut enttäuschend. Das Essen war mäßig: die Metaxasauce war echt nicht lecker, 5€ für einen mini Teller Tsatsiki eine Frechheit, der Reis maximal lauwarm. Und das Personal hat kein Lächeln rausbekommen. Das erste und letzte mal für uns dort.

Ein Grieche, bei dem man nicht nur gut essen und trinken kann, sondern der auch aushelfen kann wenn man die Speisekarte lesen möchte... habe ich so auch noch nicht gesehen 👓🧐🤓🤣

Personal war sehr nett, aber Wartezeiten von 90 Minuten sind selbst am Wochenende nicht wirklich vertretbar! 45- max. 60 min sind eigentlich Schmerzgrenze. Metaxasauce schmeckte nicht wirklich nach Metaxa und man schmeckte leider deutlich den Ketchup raus… Schade… aber das Fleisch war (außer dem Hähnchen) sehr lecker!

Die Portionen sind im Gegensatz zu früher kleiner geworden, aber das Essen ist immer noch lecker. Die Getränkepreise sind m.E. etwas zu hoch. Früher musste man einen Tisch reservieren, heute hat man fast freie Platzwahl. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und kompetent.

Die Vorspeisen waren sehr vereinfacht und ziemlich unspektakulär, haben aber geschmeckt. Die Hauptspeisen waren reichlich, ich hätte mir nur etwas mehr Metaxa Soße gewünscht, damit die Beilagen nicht so trocken gegessen werden müssen. Zum Beginn und am Ende gab es einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Eine sehr coole Idee: Lesebrillen, für die, die sie Zuhause vergessen haben. Habe ich bisher noch nirgendwo gesehen.

Wir sind nicht oft hier Aber nett empfangen und nochmal umgesetzt und alles super 👍 sauber gemacht … Essen war früher gut 👍 (Charlottenhof) und letztes Jahr waren wir auch hier Heute Mädels Abend (leider einige Absagen) und einige kamen später Service gut 👍 Und essen auch

Aldrig har vi oplevet mere vente tid. 40 min for vi fik lov at bestille og bad om regningen 4 gange før der til sidst skete noget.

Es war die Beerdigung meines Vaters. Wir sind in das Restaurant gekommen, da wurden erstmal Stühle und Tische zusammen gestellt. Es war vorher alles telefonisch abgesprochen und bestellt! Auf Getränke mussten wir 40 min warten. Auf die Aufnahme der Speisen genau eine Stunde. Nach einer weiteren 45 min wurde uns eine Suppe angeboten, da es in der Küche angeblich sehr stressig ist. Das Essen kam dann nach 2 Stunden... Die Kellner unfreundlich, der Chef (?) überfordert! Das Essen: kleine Portion für viel Geld! Fazit: Nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir sind richtig begeistert von diesem Restaurant.Wir hatten unseren Sohn (1 Jahr und 6 Monate alt) mit und es würde sich direkt liebevoll um ihn gekümmert mit stiften Papier und schon mal ein paar Scheiben Brot zum knabbern.Und trotzdem das viel los war an dem Abend hat man immer noch mal Zeit gefunden um mit dem kleinen ein bisschen zu spaßen. Das Essen war super lecker und es war auch schnell da. Alles im allen würden wir jeder Zeit wieder dort essen es ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr enttäuscht...schlechter Service...Imbissniveau, nur keine Imbisspreise...die Anrichtung der Gerichte ist wirklich eine Frechheit...Saganaki ist leider nicht zu empfehlen...da habe ich im griechischen Imbiss eine bessere Qualität nebst Ansichten bekommen...sehr schade, da die Locatio n wirklich schön ist...ständig läuft Personal herum das kaum hat man aufgegessen schon alles abräumt...das hat nichts mit Gemütlichkeit zu tun...
