A very nice, modern restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor seating is beautiful by the water. The food is well prepared and delicious, and the service is friendly. The homemade lemonades were great. One star deducted because the air was a bit stuffy and the smell of food lingered in the room. Overall, though, it's absolutely recommended.

Note: The owner has taken legal action against this review and is having unwanted comments removed. This is my second time eating here. My first visit was a few months ago. The experience was similarly bad. I still wanted to give the restaurant another chance. It actually has a good reputation in Bamberg, and the location is really cool. The owner is also well-known, so I was hoping things would be better this time. But what was the same both times I visited was the similarly subpar service. The waitress was very abrupt during my visit. She wanted to take my order immediately, even though I'd barely had the menu in my hand for five minutes. I missed a "please" and a "thank you." It felt like a fast food restaurant. Last time, I had a steak with truffle fries. The steak was disappointing, even by my standards for a steak restaurant (although the truffle fries were very good). This time, I ordered a truffle pasta (see picture). The food arrived after about five minutes. That's unusually fast for an upscale restaurant, in my opinion. The pasta looked to me personally as if it had been heated in the microwave, as the picture shows, the pasta was darker and dried out on top. The sauce had already formed a skin. The taste was correspondingly bland and not fresh. The truffle slices on top should have saved the whole thing visually, but the quality was also disappointing. I would have preferred a more intense, fresh truffle flavor. Instead, everything seemed carelessly and hastily made. I think that's a shame, because the location really has potential. Bamberg doesn't have many upscale restaurants. With decent service and freshly cooked food, a lot could be achieved here. Based on my experiences here, I would say there's still a lot of room for improvement, especially with regard to the staff and the quality of the food (see picture). Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of training for the staff and the quality of the kitchen. It's a shame about the beautiful location, but I probably won't eat here again.

Great as always. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a nice table. The food and cocktails were delicious, but what overshadowed everything was the friendliness of the staff. Thanks again, we'd love to come back soon.

We're big fans! We were there for dinner two weeks ago and had a great chateaubriand. Lunch today was also great. The cocktails, although small, are excellent. Online reservations are modern and convenient. Service is cheerful and authentic. A lot of attention to detail goes into the restaurant. I especially like the emergency basket in the ladies' restroom. A great, modern ambiance both inside and out. We look forward to future dining with you and say thank you :)

Il contorno, le solite patate fritte, è a pagamento a differenza della maggior parte dei locali dove il contorno è incluso con la portata. Tempi di attesa un po' lunghi ma con il caldo soffocante del 1 luglio tutto sommato è stato piacevole riposarsi qualche minuto in più. Conto per 2 poco sopra gli 80 euro, leggermente sopra la media. Personale gentile e disponibile. Ci tornerei? Sì.

Restaurant Henry: If you want to sit directly above a river and enjoy the evening, this is the place for you. I chose US beef, medium, perfectly cooked. It was the best steak I've eaten in a long time. The friendly service and professionalism round out my positive overall impression. Depending on the day and time, a reservation is recommended, as the restaurant gets very busy. This is possible via Google Maps, and it works very well. If you enjoy all the delicacies, a Mahs cellar beer or two, and appreciate a digestif, you should also budget €60 per person. I'll definitely be back. Thanks to the whole team.

The food was good. Service was unfriendly and didn't ask if you'd finished eating before removing your plate. The table was partially exposed to the sun despite a reservation, making the experience less enjoyable.

Tolles Restaurant an einer Megalocation. Wir waren beide sehr begeistert von unserem Essen, das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da das Wetter etwas unbeständig war, hatten wir einen Tisch auf der schicken Terrasse und einen Tisch innerhalb der Gastronomie sodass wir jeder Zeit hätten umziehen können. Alles in allem wenn wir wieder in diese schöne Stadt kommen wird dieses Restaurant unsere erste Wahl. Das Gemecker von Anderen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Gutes Essen, Location und Ambiente haben ihren Preis und der ist hier mehr als angemessen.

An all-around perfect evening! We were absolutely thrilled! As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were impressed by the stylish ambiance with a view of the Old Town Hall – a magnificent backdrop for a special evening. The meal was a true experience: For starters, we had the beef tartare – superbly seasoned and beautifully presented. For the main course, I had the Argentinian beef with truffle fries – an absolute delight with a wow factor! My wife had the Spaghetti Straccetti di Manzo and was equally impressed. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional – you feel truly welcome as a guest here. The prices may be a bit higher, but they are absolutely justified given the quality and the overall experience. We will definitely be back – a true highlight in Bamberg!

Das beste Beispiel für abgehoben: Preise astronomisch hoch - und dann noch für alle Beilagen wie (z.B. Kräuterbutter 1 EUR) Extra Aufpreis - das war der Abschuss. Unbestritten ist die Qualität der Hauptgerichte - aber Pommes aus der Tüte, nicht diesem Standard würdig, lieblos und ohne Pepp. Da ist noch viel Luft nach oben. Gespart wird auch an anderen Stellen. Aperol-Spritz mit homöopathisch geringen Anteil Aperol - wenn man die fünf !!!! Eiswürfel herausnimmt war das Glas nur noch ein drittel voll. Für ein Lokal dieser Preisklasse ein Armutszeugnis. Die Bedienung war nett und aufmerksam und wir wurden zügig bedient. Die Lokation ist sehr geschmackvoll und direkt über dem Wehr der Regnitz. Alles in allem werden wir kein nächstes Mal wiederkommen.

Würden wir in Bamberg leben, wären wir sicher Stammgäste im Henrii! Genau unser Stil, lieben wir! Fantastische Speisekarte, von der man hoch und runter bestellen könnte, ganz netter Service, immer mit einem Lächeln und eine sehr coole, moderne Inneneinrichtung. Außenbereich sehr großzügig, mit lässigen Möbeln und mit Blick auf‘s Wasser. Must do in Bamberg!

I think the meat is very tasty but for 35€ and a 5€ side dish it is anything but filling. If you are really hungry and think about going there, think again.

Edles Ambiente direkt am Wasser in der Altstadt gelegen. Ambiente modern und gemütlich. Wechselnde Karte! Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Preise sind ok. Aufgrund des schicken Ambiente, Lage und Atmosphäre jedoch sehr empfehlenswert.

Very tasty, elegant but not unpleasant, perfectly cooked and on the river...an evening like this at HENRII is an event to be enjoyed with friends...a little more expensive but also better than average.

Das Restaurant ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Empfang ist gut organisiert. Der Service ist eher professionell. Nur eine Mitarbeiterin ging auf die Gäste persönlicher ein und gab dem Aufenthalt damit eine wärmere Atmosphäre. Das Essen war gut. Das Hauptgericht etwas salzig, aber in Ordnung. Das Steak war von sehr guter Qualität, aber leider zu durch, obwohl medium-rare bestellt. Selbst der Kern war nur noch sehr zart rosa und bei Weitem nicht rare. Der baskische Käsekuchen ist sehr zu empfehlen! Das highlight des Abends. Die Schokotiramisu hatte leider einen Beigeschmack - konnte ich nicht richtig einordnen, vielleicht neben den Zwiebeln im Kühlschrank gestanden oder in einer Plastikdose aufbewahrt (?!). Alles in Allem gut, aber nicht überragend. Für die teilweise aufgerufenen Preise hatte ich mehr erwartet. Dennoch 4 von 5 Sternen, da die Performance in der Gesamtheit in Ordnung war.

Great restaurant with good service. The staff changed several times at our table and each person's stress level was slightly different, but everyone tended to be very friendly. I'm just not a fan of constantly having a different contact person, hence "only" 4 stars. The food was also very good, only for me my food was a little too salty, but that was still acceptable. But I particularly liked the ambience, which is why I give it 5 stars.

Very stylish restaurant with great service - unfortunately a big misunderstanding that left me disappointed. We were guests at the Henri in Bamberg on Easter Sunday - a reservation for 12 p.m., like most of the guests that day. The reception was excellently organized: You give your name at the entrance, are picked up by your own waitress and accompanied straight to the table with a menu and wine list - a very nice, well thought-out start to the lunch. The ambience is stylish, the service attentive and friendly. The food was also really very good – with one exception. My steak was cooked to perfection and tasted a real highlight. Only my husband's pasta was disappointing - unfortunately completely tasteless. What really spoiled my visit, however, was a misunderstanding that we unfortunately only noticed too late: While other guests were already getting their main courses, I noticed that almost everyone was being served asparagus dishes - asparagus with ham, with beef fillet, with roast beef... And that's exactly what I would have liked to have eaten! But we never got an asparagus menu. When we asked about dessert, it turned out that we simply hadn't been given it. Of course this can happen – mistakes are human. We also received an espresso on the house as an apology, which I thought was very kind. But to be honest: I was really disappointed. Especially because I was really looking forward to the meal, because it was a special occasion - and because we paid a not insignificant amount. The fact that our table of all people didn't get the seasonal special menu was a real shame and unfortunately somewhat overshadowed the otherwise lovely visit.

We are thrilled with the food (European, American, Korean, Italian), the service (warm, funny and service-oriented), the ambience and the location. Right on the river. We'd love to come back.

Modern atmosphere and interesting food. Unfortunately, our long-preserved seats for 10 people were not free, but that didn't bother the service. We were then banished to bar tables right next to the counter. When our actual table became available, it was immediately given to new guests. The music at the bar was far too loud to have a conversation. Multiple requests were only ever respected for 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the waiters rushing past didn't pay any attention to us. All in all, not recommended for groups who want to eat well together.

I have often been a guest at Henrii. The ambience and service were always top. The food is also great. I only have two small things to criticize. The pasta was often too al dente. And when it came to the Lobster Linguine dish, unfortunately it was hard to distinguish between lobster and langoustine. Both were cut into tiny little pieces, which meant that the presentation suffered a bit in the end (after all, you were ordering lobster). But all in all definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place, very chic and stylish, delicious food, great service. When the sun is shining and in the evening, it's better to make a reservation as it's a very popular restaurant, especially the sun terrace with a spectacular view of the Old Townhall.

Very tasty Bruschetta with asparagus. I only came for a coffee, but this item on the menu interested me. I ordered it and the dish was served very elegantly, but what stands out is the taste and perfectly selected proportions. I visit Bamberg quite often, but I already know that it was not the first and last time. The quality of the products is very high, so visitors also have to take into account higher prices. The snack cost 13 Euro. Regards and see you next time :)

The Henrii is one of the special restaurants in Bamberg. The kitchen offers a variety of dishes that change depending on the season. Whether it's pasta with truffles or perfectly cooked steak or crispy salad, there is something for every palate. Also worth mentioning is the really meaningful drinks menu, which also has a lot to offer for people who don't drink alcohol. The service staff is super friendly and always ready to respond to customer requests. In summer you can sit on the terrace and have a magical view of part of Bamberg's old town.

TOP FOOD, bad service. Especially the one after the evening. I need an invoice with the company address. This is never a problem except in Henrii. I've been waiting with multiple follow-up calls for 4 weeks now. No response. On the phone I was promised that it would be taken care of…. nothing happens. Sorry, but not like that.

Ambience really good. Rather a mess with the staff (drinks we didn't order, double spoons for dessert...) Food came very quickly (burger). Tasted good but not great.

We went there for dinner a few days ago and overall we weren't very happy. In our opinion, the quality of the food was just average. The steak was very good, but the salad was average at best. Dessert, selection and taste were also just mediocre. Overall, the price-performance ratio was somehow not right. However, what doesn't suit this beautiful location is the really bad service. The service wasn't friendly and didn't see the empty glasses several times when we walked past. The other waitress didn't even know the few beers they had on the menu because apparently the brewery had changed. Then I was served the non-alcoholic beer in a glass from another brewery. It just doesn't fit the claim of wanting to be one of the best places to eat. All in all, pretty average. A year or two ago, Henrii was significantly better.

If you want to eat very well, this is the right place for you. I've never eaten such a tender steak. The apple spritzer alone was a treat. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. If we are in Bamberg again, we would like to come back.

We had to wait 1 hour for our food. But we really enjoyed the food itself. We found it uncomfortable that the tables were only reserved for 2 1/2 hours.

Heute am Valentinstag, sind oftmals viele Lokale mit dem Ansturm überfordert. Der Service im Henrii heute war spitzenmäßig! Seit Jahren habe ich weder in der Gastro noch in Hotels einen so aufmerksamen und zu keiner Zeit aufdringlichen Service erlebt. Sowohl Vor-, als auch Hauptspeisen waren vorzüglich. Macht weiter so, ihr habt uns einen tollen Abend beschert!

Disappointing! Tomahawk, medium ordered from the offer, although this meal is recommended for two to three people. They said there were only cuts >1kg left, okay. Then it was announced that it comes boneless, also okay. Unfortunately, the steak came with the bone, barely looked like 1.3kg and was almost raw in places... At no point did the service ask whether it tasted good or fit. Too bad!

High-priced but very chic and recommended location. The Argentinian fillet was to die for! Very tasty side dishes and sauce. The service was first class and extremely accommodating. Cool music, but less suitable for the very chic atmosphere. Very large and delicious wine selection. We would definitely stop by again for special occasions.
