Heimbacher Stube in Heimbach

A great, cozy spot for a night out. The owner is very attentive and friendly, and he's usually in the kitchen himself, creating delicious dishes. One portion is easily enough for two people. The food is fantastic. We always look forward to visiting Jean-Luc and his family. The Heimbacher Stube now also offers a delivery service in Heimbach and the surrounding area, so you can enjoy their delicious food at home.

I had a fantastic schnitzel, which was delicious. The fries that came with it were delicious, golden brown, crispy, and flavorful, fried in fresh oil. The waitress at the bar was friendly and fun to watch. She was very spontaneous. If I go back, I'll definitely get one of the burgers, as they seem to be delicious here too. You step into a traditional Dutch café, which takes you back to the early years of Heimbach and the surrounding area. They played great music. One point the owner should mention is the soda. But otherwise, nothing to complain about.

It looks like a simple café, very cozy, but it's actually a restaurant with excellent food. A very pleasant atmosphere, with music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s playing in the background. It's inviting for a drink after your meal. I'll definitely be back!

We had fantastic schnitzels! They're not on the menu, but ask for them. Best place in town in autumn or winter; there's not much else to do. Very cozy atmosphere too. We've had two fantastic meals there!

Very friendly staff and delicious food, definitely worth the price. The outdoor area is particularly attractive in summer, right on the Rur River in the heart of the Eifel region. The interior is reminiscent of the old days, comfortable, nice, and very well decorated; there's even a knight's armor! Definitely worth a visit in the near future. Highly recommended.

Service at its finest – if you like irony. I was there alone that evening, ordered my meal, and then got to witness firsthand how another table was already enjoying their meal while I learned the culinary meaning of "Waiting for Godot." After what felt like an eternity, the explanation came: The receipt "hadn't arrived" and the chef was "bringing his girlfriend home." Sure – it can happen. By the way, there was no schnitzel either. Herbs? Also out. Expires. Card payment? Only €10 or more. No problem, I would have gladly paid – if I'd gotten something. Instead, I was asked to leave my ID so I wouldn't be considered a dine-in. Truly customer-friendly! And the icing on the cake: "I can't do anything about it, it's not my place. The boss sits back there, you'll have to go there yourself." Wow. Hospitality at its finest. Conclusion: If you want to experience what service doesn’t feel like, you should definitely go!

If nothing can be a farmer, it is he says when we are broken... we never come here again... never eat well after a 1 hour... I was jawing and vomiting on the toilet. I ask for a sausage and I get fries at 5 euros so don't come here it's nothing dirty and a farmer en een gast met een petje

Super cozy, perfect service, large meals and very tasty!

The food was generally of decent quality, and the service was friendly. The price wasn't exactly cheap. What's absolutely incomprehensible these days, however, is that card payments aren't accepted! This urgently needs to be improved!

We stopped by for a quick beer with the group and enjoyed the local Pilsner and Weizen beers while we enjoyed a break overlooking the Rur River. The restaurant has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. A comprehensive menu of food and drinks should ensure there's something for everyone.

We spontaneously stopped by the Heimbacher Stube and sat outside on the terrace – a great view of the greenery and the water. The hot chocolate was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy with a rock vibe and music – really cool! The food looked very inviting – we'll try it next time. Highly recommended! 🌿☕️

A cozy place with good food, but the salmon I was looking for had disappeared from the menu. What remained was tasty, yet it felt like a missed deal. When paying, a false note struck a chord: card payments proved impossible, despite the promise. Beautiful decor, but a few cracks in the melody.

We were there for a night out at the pub and loved it. The cozy atmosphere (reminiscent of a classic pub and an Irish pub), fast service, and free snacks (nuts and nibbles) were excellent. Everything was top-notch!

The burgers were okay, visually appealing, but unfortunately both weren't very warm. The fries were good. Value for Money The food was okay, but in my opinion, €15.50 for the burger without a side dish or anything similar wasn't quite appropriate here. I thought the large portion of rustic fries for €9.50 was just about okay. Summary: A nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We probably wouldn't come back for the burgers, especially since we had to deal with some stomach problems shortly afterward. What a shame.

Beautiful location right on the river, and the staff was friendly. The fries were tasty, but the mayo was unfortunately dried on the edges. The "herb sausage" was a boiled sausage from a packet with two sprigs of dill and a sprout stuffed inside. I thought 17.50 was way too expensive for that. Unfortunately, they didn't accept card payments either.

Horrible service. Waited an hour for a simple salad. When asked where our food was, the waitress aggressively said: “can’t you see we’re busy?” If you can’t serve the amount of people properly, I suggest you don’t put so many tables outside.

Serving a 2 cm "thick" steak with a cold core is a feat. Otherwise, they only serve burgers; the rest of the menu wasn't available at all. One or two main course options (instead of 20 different burgers) would make the menu more appealing. The service was friendly, but the wait was a bit long; perhaps they're understaffed; we only saw two waiters. The location by the river is very nice; they could add a bit of flair to the look.

We made a reservation as a group with eight dogs, and they gave us a separate area. When two more people joined us, they quickly and easily added another table. We felt well looked after. The service was excellent despite the full house! We spontaneously made another reservation for the second evening. The ambiance is great, and we really enjoyed the team's positive attitude.

Fantastic food with very welcoming hosts! The price is certainly quite high, but it's justified by both the quality of the ingredients and the chefs' skills! The fact that I brought my Asian friend's family with me was also accepted with great kindness and patience (due to the language barrier). Highly recommended!

The best place in the small town of Heimbach to enjoy a delicious burger or a top-notch steak. The staff is quick and attentive to every request.

Service was really bad apart from being totally ignored when the waitress took our order for 1 beer and one hot chocolate. She brought out 2 beers and a cup that can only be described as hot water. then again ignored till we got up to leave. Did she even give us attention . I'm totally disappointed and spoilt our day. Thankfully, we will not be this way again

Very nice restaurant located directly on the Rur, nice outside terrace and rustic inside. Staff very friendly and prompt. The menu reads well, a bit too burger-like for me, I was somehow missing a schnitzel, which is why I opted for the spit roast, which was also tasty but unfortunately warmed up and a bit strawy on the sides. They had a tasty treat on the menu there, Chianina Steak meat from the Maremma, which I thought was cool.

2x herb bratwurst with fries including a small salad ordered with a non-alcoholic wheat beer and an apple spritzer. The bratwurst with fries was ok. The salad was fresh and delicious. The somewhat stressed waitress had mixed up ketchup and mayonnaise (well, it doesn't matter if everything else was correct). When it comes to the bill, it's a rip-off: 47.10 euros!!! It was impossible to explain how they came about. There was probably already a generous tip included, so we didn't give any more!!! Conclusion: simple, good food, but the price-performance ratio doesn't fit. In any case, we won't be visiting the restaurant again, even though we are in the area often.

A real insider tip for steak and burger fans! We both just returned from a camping weekend – looking as if we'd been out for three days, and our clothes should have gone straight into the washing machine. We were really hungry and didn't feel like cooking at home. And then, of course, this discovery came in handy. The Heimbacher Stube really surprised us – in the best possible way! From the outside, the restaurant looks like a classic, home-style inn, but what ends up on the plates is more than impressive: superb quality, lovingly prepared, and truly delicious. You immediately notice that the people here are passionate about their work – the owners personally took the time for a quick chat, which makes the whole experience even more appealing. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the burgers were creatively topped, and a real eye-catcher. We wouldn't have expected it to be this good – especially since we had a hard time finding the restaurant online. So, my tip: If you're in the area and in the mood for a really good meal – definitely stop by! For us, definitely a place we will visit again.

I can only agree with the positive reviews. The operators and employees are very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared and more than plentiful. Both drinks and food were served quickly. Highly recommended.

We ate there with 4 people. 3 of them burgers, one steak. The steak was tasty and well-crafted. The quality of the burgers wasn't really to our liking. 80% consisted of salad, dry rolls and served with little to no motivation. Unfortunately, you can't judge the quality of the meat properly because with this minimal amount of meat you hardly tasted anything other than salad. Otherwise the burger consisted of a slice of tomato and one or two slices of cucumber. The fries tasted okay. However: if I order ketchup with the fries, the waitress asks twice and still comes with barbecue sauce (with the subsequent explanation that there was no ketchup left) I find this unacceptable! Taste or not, there are also allergy sufferers who cannot tolerate certain products. And then serving a different sauce without saying anything is negligent! The service was attentive and friendly, but unfortunately extremely overwhelmed (when a small drink was ordered, a large one arrived, splitting the bill turned out to be a problem, etc.). Ambience very rustic (pub), yet somehow cozy. All in all, unfortunately, we will definitely refrain from visiting again. Nevertheless, all the best and much success!

Mega delicious! Steak was professionally prepared. Salad dressing had something new in taste, not so superficial. Friendly welcome. It's the only shop in town that's open on Mondays. I am very satisfied and would like to come back.

Incredibly delicious! The meat is very tasty, fresh and well prepared. The side salad was not, as is usually the case, made up of coarsely chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots, but was a dish in itself. We'd love to come back.

Out of season one of the two dining options that is also open on Mondays. Had a nice meal there. Beautiful piece of beef that was cooked perfectly. Friendly service and nicely decorated. Too bad the beer choice is limited. I was looking forward to a tripel from my own region, but unfortunately they don't have that on the menu. Only downside.

The food and service were great, I have rarely met such friendly and courteous staff. The food tasted really fresh and the portions were more than enough for the price. The atmosphere was cozy but everyone has to like it. I would recommend it to everyone!!

Stopped here spontaneously and got a table after 15 minutes. We just wanted to eat a little something and chose currywurst with fries and rustic fries, both of which were served 10 minutes later. Hard to do and very, very tasty. Very cozy atmosphere, not just outside. The service is also very quick and always has a cool saying on your lips. We'll definitely be back!

Door de grote populariteit is er niet alles meer te krijgen van de kaart, maar er zijn nog voldoende andere mogelijkheden om iets te kiezen. Personeel is zeer enthousiast bezig en werken zich een slag in de rondte. Tevens mooi uitzicht op rivier de Ruhr.

Due to the great popularity, it is no longer possible to get everything on the menu, but there are plenty of other options to choose from. The staff is very enthusiastic and works hard. Also beautiful views of the Ruhr river.

Asked to order food and were kept on the line. We had already had a few drinks. After some time a large group of people arrived, their food was taken earlier and we had to wait! Bad service!!!

Management is very bad! Large groups arriving later were helped first and after more than half an hour of waiting, still no order was taken. We left.

Rarely have we eaten worse than here! Very unfriendly staff and the quality of the food is below average.

Update after one year: The burgers are still just as awesome! I can only recommend it. The direct and honest nature of the young host also gives the restaurant its charm and is exactly what the gastronomy needs :) ‐----- Best burger I've eaten in a long time! We'll be back :)

Friendly and beautifully located on the Rur in Heimbach

Wild goulash was subpar, salad like from the pre-made and chopped bags at Edeka, salad dressing a sweet syrup. Wish due to If you have an allergy, leaving tomatoes out of your salad was dismissed with: “We don’t have any special requests.” The request for salt was dismissed with: "There's enough salt on it" by the brash young innkeeper and reluctantly accepted. We will never visit the Heimbacher Stuben again.

The people are friendly, the food is great and the atmosphere is great.

We arrived here spontaneously and completely hungry late in the evening while passing through. The kitchen was already closed, but they still prepared extra fresh, delicious fries for us...Very nice host!

They can't do it. Waited 1.5 hours for order (with young children that is a very long time). When we asked if something had gone wrong with the order, we received no answer. Finally said we were leaving. No sorry we forgot, drink for the inconvenience. No, even worse, the chef came out of his kitchen to say that it is not McDonalds. I had seen the bad reviews but gave you the benefit of the doubt. So don't do that. Shame! And for the owner's response: this is NOT good.
