Most beautiful outdoor restaurant in Heimbach. Directly on the Rur. Delicious food. Friendly and fast service. The rustic fries in particular are exceptional and highly recommended. A great alternative to the usual Eifler Schnitzel monotony. We'd love to come back.

Nice spot on the water. I had the waldsteak, but it was quite greasy and very lightly fried. Other okay. Price-quality ratio is considerable, but there is not much in Heimbach. Open from 6am, reservations required. The staff is busy and works hard

The food was nothing special, maybe because the meat on my burger was cold? The service was very difficult, little education. I certainly understand the difficulty of working with two people, but at least a little kindness doesn't hurt! The only positive note is the location near the river. 😀

La première chose qu'on remarque à propos de Heimbacher Stube, c'est sa jolie terrasse au bord de l'eau. Mais ensuite, quand on entre dans le restaurant en lui-même, on découvre une décoration étonnante mélangeant le rustique, le cozy et aussi un côté un peu décalé. L'ambiance est celle d'un vieux pub anglais où il fait bon boire une bière entre amis. Le personnel de salle est aussi convivial, serviable et, en plus, efficace. Une bonne entrée en matière, en résumé ! Malheureusement, les choses se gâtent quand on arrive à l'assiette. Pour ma part, j'avais commandé un burger (le "klassiker") et une salade. Si le pain, la viande et la sauce étaient très bons, c'est sur les garnitures que nous avons un souci. La mozzarella, fort caoutchouteuse est présentée sous forme d'un bloc de 2 cm d'épaisseur. Idem pour les uniques tranches de tomate et de concombre. Drôle de découpe qui empêche totalement de manger le burger avec ses mains. Le pire reste la salade. Celle-ci n'avait pas été lavée correctement, laissant des petits grains de sable et de terre sous la dent. Elle était garnie, notamment, de brins de ciboulettes qui tenaient plus de la tige que du brin vu l'impossibilité de les mastiquer. Bref, un resto qui a du potentiel mais une finesse à apporter à l'exécution en cuisine.

I had reserved a table for 8 people for a weekend trip, which unfortunately got lost in the hustle and bustle of the European Championships. The boss made the best of it for us and organized a table, food and drinks as quickly as possible. The quality and taste of the food was really good. Despite the large number of guests, there were good beers and friendly service who didn't let anyone put them down. It was a great evening, we will definitely be back. Thanks !

Here the guest is not welcome and there no longer seems to be any need to treat him in a friendly manner. Five minutes before opening it's already too much if you ask what beer is on tap and you're rudely asked to sit outside. When we decided to sit down in the restaurant anyway, we were insulted because the restaurant also had an entrance door and we didn't have to walk past the guests. I have never experienced something like that. Unfortunately it is not possible to give no stars.

We spent a mid week at Dormio resorts and often ate in Heimbacher. Tasty, price is good, service is good and friendly, even if you don't speak German well, they can speak English and with hands and feet you can get there too 😅

Cool bar, good music, great service. What made the place is 100% the staff. Despite making a mistake on my order, they went above and beyond to fix it. Service was prompt and they checked in often, burger and fries were very good as well. Thx.

Very nice spot but we waited quite a lot for too-cooked steaks, salad with mozzarella with no taste, just 3 pieces of tomatoes and a sweet dressing, and fries with paprika and ketchup tasting like sweet tomato sauce - perhaps German taste… beers were very good, at least!

The restaurant offers steaks, burgers and a couple of snacks. Tried ordering the Spiessbrat and the Goulash, but it wasn't in stock. So we went for the steak. What a disappointment. It was completely overbaked. Wouldn't order the steak. Also paprika powder on the fries. Maybe this is common in Germany, but I find it a very strange combination.

Best owner ever. Asked for a take out, he was so welcoming and kind. He also gave us a carry box and our salads were served in glass bowls. He told us to drop everything off the next day. It was so wonderful opening the box and having meals served like it would be in a restaurant. Such kindness and service is very rare. Thank you again.

Nettes Lokal mit Charme und top Bedienung, aber leider ist das Essen (war zweimal dort, weil sonst alle Lokale Vorort während der Woche geschlossen sind) nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Hamburger aus der Tiefkühltruhe, Patties aus der Tüte, nicht umwerfend. Steak zu einem Drittel nicht essbar, da zu durchwachsen, der Salat dazu war, mit süssem Dressing und Heidelbeeren, eher unpassend (ist allerdings Geschmackssache).

Nice little cozy restaurant, nice staff and owner. Good music. Drink prices ok. The 0.2er Kölsch is too expensive at €2.20. We didn't eat anything, but the food from the neighboring table (burgers) looked good and whetted our appetite. Keep it up.

Very quaint restaurant. Food was super delicious. It's best to make a reservation because it's a small dining room. I deducted one star because you can only pay with cash. So remember to pack enough cash. 😉 The service was very friendly.

What a cool shop. Rustic with attention to detail and super nice operators. The saying from the card “come as a guest and leave as a friend” is totally fitting. The burgers were super tasty and we are really picky...

Het was onze derde keer hier, we zijn altijd erg blij met het eten en de service. Je kunt alleen contant betalen en het is sterk aangeraden van te voren te reserveren.

Gemütliches (Kneipen-)Ambiente und Speisen mit einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (zumindest bei den Burgern). Passend, wenn man auf der Suche nach einem einfachen und unkomplizierten Lokal und Burgern mit Fritten nicht abgeneigt ist :-) Für den jeweils fünften Stern ist sowohl von den Speisen bis hin zum Service und dem Ambiente noch etwas Luft nach oben - hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört.

Helaas waren er slechts 4 gasten inclusief wijzelf, maar dat was op een zeer regenachtige koude dag half november 2023. Daarom weinig sfeer. Bitburger bier i.p.v. Heimbacher bier.

Prima burgers in een gemoedelijke sfeer.

Die Burger 🍔 sind sehr gut. Die Pommes rustikal mit den verschiedenen Soßen drauf schmeckten super. Bedingungen stimmte auch also alles tutti.

Sehr schöne kleine Kneipe mit uriger Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich sehr schnell wohl. Wir waren abends ein Bier trinken und haben die Tagesspiegel gegessen. Sehr gute Qualität und wirklich lecker. Für mich hat etwas Salz gefehlt allerdings ist das ja subjektiv und kann nach gesalzen werden. Allerdings war der Preis schon gehoben für eine super dieser Größe, gedacht als Vorspeise. Qualitativ war sie aber wirklich lecker.

Kann nichts wirklich negatives finden, deswegen volle Punktzahl. Essen gut und reichlich. Hatte einen Burger. Bier Auswahl ist nicht mein Geschmack, aber ist viel da, das ist fein. Sehr gemütlicher Gastraum und rustikal, mag ich. Top Service. Komme gerne wieder.

Please avoid eating here! Have a beer and a chat but don’t eat. It is a bar and not a restaurant. Rude service, long waiting times and whatever you order it all seems the same. Hamburgers are dry like leather without taste. Salads are just a pile of salad and not like described in the menu. Many better restaurants in Heimbach. Best off all … check your bill at the end. Explanation for the poor food .. we only have one person in the kitchen.

Honig-Hamburger sehr lecker, ohne Beilagen 15€ sind eine Hausnummer. Pommes 4€ in der Grundversion finde ich zuviel. Pommes rustikal 8.50€ sehr scharf.

Heel lekker gegeten. Aardige medewerkers en het ligt leuk aan de rivier. Er is ook genoeg plek buiten. Je kan alleen met cash betalen, iets om mee rekening te houden

Very busy restaurant with only one waiter, but a fast and hard working guy, quickly had the menu and shortly after our meal was ordered. Ordered a honey burger and wagyu steak. Preparation time was very reasonable, no longer than 15m. Burger was more than ok, no complaints about that. The wagyu however is a different story. For 32.5 euro I did not expect real waguy off course but at least a good quality rumsteak. I was never asked how it should be cooked which normally is a good thing, good quality steak is served medium rare. Didn't turn out that way as you can see in the included picture. I received a low quality rumsteak with not even a wiff of the typical melted fat taste of wagyu, completely well done and full of chewy bits. I did complain on site and the boss did come out to explain that it is real wagyu by saying literally this : 'read my lips, this is real wagyu!'. I'm a low and slow fan and have cooked quite some meat including wagyu, I do know a thing or two about quality meat. The wagyu is not worth the money, it's just a tourist rip-off, not even worth calling it a quality rumpsteak. And the fact that it was served well done only confirms that the cook doesn't know what quality meat is, stick to flipping burgers in the future.

Das Restaurant war mittelalterlich ausgestattet und das Personal freundlich. Das Essen war super lecker obwohl die Preise etwas zu hoch sind, wobei man bedenken muss, dass dies ein Touristen-Gebiet ist.

Spießbraten mit Pommes und Salat, mein Freund hatte die Überraschung, einen Bürger mit Rindfleisch und Pommes mit Salat. Der Hauptgang war hervorragend. Das Balsamicodressing mit Himbeergeschmack sehr lecker. 80% des Salats war Fertigsalat aus der Tüte,schade. Wir haben fast 30 Minuten gewartet bis wir bestellen konnten und mussten dann noch 50 Minuten auf unser Essen warten. Die Servicekräfte sollten aufgestockt werden.

Definitely come eat here! The outside area is situated perfectly by the water. Stunning location. We came at a busy time so had to sit inside. Definitely more bar vibes inside with rock music playing - but not too loud. We ordered the goulash and the waldsteak. Both were cooked perfectly, we absolutely devoured our meals. Also very impressed with the staff. Two people were waiting the dining area and we could only see one other person in the kitchen. Only three people at such a busy time, and still everyone was being served quickly! Again = VERY impressed.

Die Bedienung war an diesem Tag etwas verschlafen und manche Kunden würden links liegen gelassen. Das Essen ist Standard und die einzigen Highlights könnten die verschiedenen Fleischsorten sein, da es von Krokodil bis Strauß alles mögliche gibt. Ob diese selbst frisch hergestellt werden kann ich nicht sagen, da ich nur ein Rindfleisch-Patty hatte, welches sehr industriell hergestellt aussah. Die Preise würde ich für diese Art etwas zu teuer sehen.

Eenvoudig eetcafé. Vriendelijk personeel, grote porties lekker eten. Met name veel burgers. Let op je kunt hier niet met pin betalen! Pinautomaat om de hoek.

Die Auswahl ist sehr gut, wenn man Steak oder Burger essen möchte. Dann gibt es noch ein paar andere Gerichte und eine große Auswahl an Salat-Gerichte. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Preise sind okay. Es kann aber auch länger dauern bis man einen Platz bekommt.

Tolles Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung, Das Weizenbier ist zu empfehlen.
