After a while we returned there again. Been there several times before, including for a birthday. And it just so happens, we always had reliably good food there. Even now, when the others have almost closed down or could only serve food from the deep fryer, there was a wide range of good quality food on offer.

Nice, quaint restaurant with very tasty food and great service 😊 Dogs are welcome and get their money’s worth too. Clear recommendation!

Goed eten, leuke sfeer. Voelt alsof je bij een oude oma aan tafel schuift zo het is aangekleed. Je krijgt goede porties voorgeschoven en er is veel keus uit typisch Duitse gerechten. Er wordt goed rekeninggehouden met allergieën.

I can't say anything about the food and the service, as we were fobbed off with "no more food" shortly before 1 p.m. today, on a Saturday. Kitchen supposedly from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Reason: The cook has already got everything full of orders and there's nothing left. Sad service, especially extremely unfriendly and inexplicable. The “beer garden” (covered terrace) was only half full. The store won't see us again.

We had a delicious meal thanks to the friendly staff who were willing to serve us at the last minute. Large schnitzels with delicious fries and of course a delicious Weizen!

We were here twice in winter. Opening times are quite limited during these months. However, the menu is not and there is still a weekly menu with around 10 additional dishes. And if you ask, there is always something that is not on the cards. Vegetarian dishes are offered. The food so far has been excellent, a reasonable portion, very tasty and perfectly priced. If you can't get something, you can pack it up to take away. We were served very friendly, there is always time for a chat, hikers are welcome. There is a very pleasantly tempered local beer on tap, a tea and wine list, as well as local brandies and of course the usual alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Everything seems very rustic and cozy, we have only sat inside so far, I can't say anything about the comfort of the benches outside. The toilets are in the courtyard, which is a little chilly in winter, but they are clean and well maintained. We paid both in cash and with an EC card. However, wheelchair users have no chance in this old building, as there are a few steps at the entrance. If you have walking difficulties and don't necessarily need to use a wheelchair, the staff is guaranteed to be helpful. I can't say anything about the parking situation since we arrive by public transport. In the summer I'm curious how crowded it will be, but I'll definitely want to come back several more times.

Went there with 6 people 6 months ago on the recommendation of my child. Service was lousy, the food wasn't tasty at all and it was way too expensive for what was on offer. Weihnachtskarte ist auf sehr typische weihnachtliche Speise gesetzte wie Wild und Gans/ kein normales Schnitzel nur Kalb an den Tagen zu Verfügung (ausgenommen Kinder ) Warmer Kartoffelsalat ist normal nicht heiß - geschmacklich mies - Kalbsschnitzel ok - wild ok Kinder -Menü sieht nicht grade appetitlich aus - Schnitzel/Pommes einfach auf den Teller geknallt - größeren Teller wählen - wäre von Vorteil gewesen (ordentlich Platz zum schneiden)

You shouldn't take the whole kitchen thing too seriously. After we placed our food order we were told 5 minutes later that the kitchen had just closed! It would open again in about an hour and only then could you order from the large menu. We gritted our teeth and accepted it and came back 60 minutes later. Now they say it will be at least half an hour before the kitchen opens! The service staff is not to blame for the situation, the kitchen apparently works according to its own clock. However, you are not allowed to move guests twice, at some point the goodwill will be used up.

We had a fantastic evening at the Eifeler Hof in Heimbach during the Bavarian Weeks. The food was simply outstanding - the knuckle was perfectly prepared, crispy on the outside and wonderfully tender on the inside. There was also freshly tapped Paulaner beer on tap, which rounded off the enjoyment perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. An all-round successful evening! We will definitely come back and can recommend the Eifeler Hof without reservation.

Spent three days in the Eifel National Park. Made dinner reservations at the Eifler Hof on Sunday. Had a table waiting upon my arrival. Warmly greeted by the entire team. Geoffrey was my server and he was terrific. Enjoyed a delicious traditional Bavarian dish, some great beer (JW Augustiner Ur Dunkel on draft), and a huge helping of apple strudel to finish things up. Even got to meet the owner/chef Peter! The Eifler Hof is a must. Be sure to make reservations.

We (76/86) wanted to finally manage to get something to eat at the Eifeler Hof this year after last year Was turned away twice during opening hours, but no, nothing was available this time either. 30 minutes before the kitchen closes! The waitress was obviously uncomfortable, but we declined the drink that was offered.

Very tasty dishes for Bavarian week. The older lady was really very friendly and open to a short conversation. Portions and price performance are right. There is room for improvement when it comes to dessert. We will come back and recommend you. Greetings from Franzel

Went there spontaneously on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and wanted to eat. There were a few free tables inside and outside in the restaurant. Unfortunately we were turned away by two young employees because they were supposed to be closing early because they had to make preparations for an event next week. Will avoid this restaurant in the future!

Kwaliteit van eten was goed, maar het was erg basic (zonder groenten en/of sausje). Bij de schnitzel van mijn vrouw was het nog erger, want dat was alleen schnitzel met zestal aardappelkroketjes. Bediening was verder vriendelijk. Aanrader is een Eifeler Landbier van de tap. Reserveren is wel handig want het is niet zo groot en vaak wel druk.

The food was actually very tasty, if the order had arrived the way it was placed. My husband ordered a rib-eye steak with fresh chanterelles and it was served with herb butter. I had redfish with warm potato salad but got the dish with fries. Since there was no sauce with the steak, my husband ordered some ketchup for the fries, which was also charged extra. Maybe the service was stressful, but a customer shouldn't normally notice that.

We opted for half the original Wiener schnitzel because in Germany you expect a large Wiener schnitzel, so only half it. But the price ratio is not really good because it costs 20 euros, but what we got was worth more like 15 or 16 euros. We were asked if we wanted ketchup on mayonnaise and we chose ketchup. Well then you get a very small thing with ketchup for 2 people. So we asked for ketchup again and guess what, you already paid 20 euros (which is already a lot) and you also have to pay for the ketchup. Pretty poor. Customer friendliness oh well, not really that good either, you get the card and you are not even asked if you want something to drink. The schnitzel was good, but the price is just too expensive and then you also have to pay for the ketchup.

There is a special (old-fashioned) atmosphere in the courtyard. Food is just good. Service seems a bit stiff at first, but later turns out to be very efficient and helpful. The food is ruined because there is a lot of smoking around us and when drunk men sit next to us, one of whom also starts vomiting, it takes the fun out of us. We have been coming here for years, but we have never experienced this, hence the positive review.

The Schnitzel was ok, the fried potatoes were really those industrial ones, on average it was ok. Quality price ok, I wouldn't come back tbh.

I would like to introduce you to the Eifeler Hof today 🥰 It is a long-established restaurant with a rustic atmosphere, delicious food and friendly service 🙏🏼 The Heimbacher Piglet roll immediately caught my eye on the menu 🤩 "Crispy multigrain roll filled with minced pork steak, tomato slices, gherkin, red onion and herb quark 🍔 with thick fries 🍟 I really enjoyed the burger 😋 and I was able to eat it with my hand 😅 the fries were also really tasty 😋 all in all it was a great evening with good food, drinks and a treat for Bommel 🐕 We can wholeheartedly recommend the Eifeler Hof ❤️

We actually wanted to end our Easter vacation with a delicious meal. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We arrived about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed. Actually, they wanted to send us out again because the day had been so tough anyway, according to the explanation from the waitress. We were then allowed to stay and were given a place right at the checkout with a view of shelves that no one wanted to see. The atmosphere is very old. We ordered a wine spritzer, unfortunately it didn't taste like wine. The schnitzels were large but the breading around them was thicker than the meat itself, along with fries and croquettes. There was a small bowl of mushroom sauce which wasn't even enough for half of the meal. The mushrooms had probably thawed and were therefore limp and disgusting. Conclusion: Any snack bar is better than this restaurant. No recommendation!!!

The food was really good. We were there twice. Brisket of oxen, fish, Schäufele...the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. Service was also very friendly. Ok, the beer tap could be changed. So you don't have to push/pour the beer back and forth. Still, it was tasty. It's a small defect. Would recommend it. We'll definitely be back. Let's see what it's like when the beer garden season opens and there's a lot more to do.

A typical German restaurant with local food and good value for money. For us, however, it's a tradition as we've been coming to this place for years and always eat here, so it's a little romantic bonus.

Wir waren während der Aktionswoche „Oktoberfest Wochen“ dort essen und waren begeistert. Sehr gute Qualität, lecker und bekömmlich zubereitet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Het eten was heerlijk maar voor ons teveel, wij hadden het gerecht met z'n tweetjes kunnen delen dan was het nog voldoende geweest.

Oktoberfest weken: aparte kaart met specialiteiten uit Beieren. Reserveren gewenst. Als je wat op calorieën moet letten is de keuze wat beperkt. Daarentegen verstaan ze hier hun vak. Gezellige sfeer. Restaurant en Biergarten in Oktoberfestthema versierd. Er wordt bijpassende muziek gedraaid. Parkeren gemakkelijk bij Parkplatz über Rur. Je loopt er dan in 3 minuten heen.

Die Portionen sind ordentlich und Preis/Leistung stimmt. Die Bedienung war freundlich auch wenn es vielleicht nicht bei jedem so ankommt. Wir waren mit allem rundum zufrieden und werden sehr gerne wieder kommen.
