More than 1 hour of waiting for a steak and pizza, if you want chicken you have to book the day before, only pay in cash, indicated nowhere, neither on the website, nor outside before entering, nor when booking, we did not have enough, 8 euros, a scene, the cook comes out and threatens saying verbatim in Germany it is only cash... mediocre unprofessional and only 3 tables full... never again

We were looking for an unusual dining experience. After hearing great reviews on Google and appreciating the castle's historic atmosphere, we decided to go there. The service was not only fast but also extremely courteous. The prices were pleasantly surprising, both for the food and drinks. Our food was served promptly, and the castle's chef, or manager, even came by to make sure we were okay, and we had a pleasant little chat. 👌🏻🍻 If we're ever in the area again, a return visit is definitely on our list! The idea of ​​maybe even staying overnight in the castle sounds really appealing. 😎

We celebrated our wedding on the castle grounds on October 13, 2023, with approximately 40 people. It was 100% satisfactory. The buffet was plentiful and arranged as requested. Unfortunately, the requested cream cakes were missing; there were only fruit pastries...but no one really missed it. The ceremony in the castle room was magnificent...and the entire grounds were simply a dream in the bright sunshine. An ideal place for a small wedding!

I was a bit disappointed with the rating of the food from the other reviews. Burger was ok, but nothing more. Service was very nice, although not really professional. Prices are on the higher end in terms of quality. Was there during the week. Don't think I'll be back.

Actually great, but half the ticket was sold out. All soups, all pinsas and all chicken with the statement that all hell broke loose on Friday. Seriously!!?? And that on Saturday evening.

The Burgschänkeheimbach is located in the middle of Hengebach Castle in Heimbach. It is a very beautiful castle with a great all-round view and so many different corners, niches and curves 🙂. If you are not good on foot, you can take the "glass" elevator up and/or down several floors. If you would like to go further up, you can climb the rustic castle tower and be rewarded with a great view (even in the dark 👍). Fortunately, the restaurant has reopened in a very stylish manner and is called “Burgschänkeheimbach”. There are many special, fresh delicacies for young and old at affordable prices. The staff is very friendly and quick - despite the fact that they are urgently looking for service staff... Great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit!! Below the castle there is a great playground on the Rur, which flows through the small town of Heimbach from the Rur Dam above.

We came here June 18 after we visited Tor Heimbach. The service is good even though the waitress is by herself. She’s always smiling when she got our order and when she served us. We waited for a while because we’re a big group but when our order came, we were amazed by how big the portions were and how good. Especially their fries. It was too late when we realized that there’s no doggy bags in Germany. So we stayed longer to finish our food that they worked so hard to prepare 😊.

Das Ambiente war sehr gut. Es gab nur sehr wenig drinnen Sitzplätze, aber unterm Dach und auf dem Hof waren auch noch Tische. Das Essen war preislich ok, die öffentlichen Toiletten leider unterirdisch schlecht. Lieber nicht betreten!!! Aber der rustikale Hamburg war ein Gedicht!

waren am 8.5.23 dort. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Der Service war sehr gut. Das Essen in der Gruppe war auch in Ordnung. Einzig den Burger kann ich nicht empfehlen. Hier wirkte das Burger-Pattie wie ein FertigPattie. Es war sehr dünn und wirkte wie das Pattie von der günstigen Kette mit dem M.

Nettes Personal, Portionen gut, Steak war top!
