Haus Zeyen in Köln

If you come to participate in the German IDS exhibition, it is recommended to eat here. The menu is in English. The boss and the lady boss are very friendly and can speak a little English. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very good and there are many Asian faces coming to dine. You don’t have to worry about being unfriendly to foreigners.

As always, very nice, this time we were there spontaneously and were lucky to get a table. Day food was, as always, very good and the service was quick and friendly.

A rustic pub with real Cologne charm. Beer comes straight from the barrel and the food is simply great. The cutlet with fried potatoes and homemade savoy cabbage...a dream

It is in a quiet part of town and once you enter, the atmosphere changes dramatically. It suddenly becomes louder and more dynamic around you as people rejoice together. Food was nice, portions were huge.

Quaint restaurant in the heart of Cologne/Deutz. Sion Kölsch on tap, schnitzel in many variations but also hearty things like savoy cabbage with bratwurst. Köbes was always attentive. As a fan of SV Deutz 05 we will be back!

It was very tasty with generous portions, great value for the price. Sion Kölsch (beer) is recommended to drink and offered on tap. The place was full with locals, but the staff moved around and made room for us. Very service-minded and helpful staff. If you are in Cologne and want a genuine local experience, this is the restaurant to visit.

You really feel comfortable there and almost everyone who lives in the area knows Haus Zeyen. The food is very tasty and the meat is also very tasty. If you're going out to eat with the family, Haus Zeyen is a good choice. It's just very loud there at peak times. The staff are all very nice and funny too.

We were looking for a place to eat at short notice. Although there was no space at the moment, we were initially served with Kölsch until a reservation expired so that we could eat there. The portion is huge. Service super friendly. All in all, highly recommended.

Taiwanese really recommend it! I have lived in Germany and eaten in countless German restaurants. This restaurant has a very high CP value and the service staff is friendly. But it’s best to make a reservation first Das Essen kann man nur empfehlen!

I got the 'farmhouse schnitzel' and whole meal was delicious and huge portions (2 pieces of schnitzel hidden under there!) The pictures do it no justice. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Friendly to tourists (as I read on reviews some places aren't). Traditional and old style brew house and great atmosphere. Cash only (as most restaurants are here and in Berlin now from experience).

I haven't been to such a quaint, original Veedels pub in Cologne for a long time. The big but extremely important difference to other pubs is the excellent cuisine. The service staff were top. We were given very good advice regarding the food and were never left out to dry. A tip to the owner. A person behind the counter who is constantly tapping would take the pressure off the duo. Haus Zeyen is a charming and authentic pub that’s perfect for anyone wanting to experience local Cologne vibes. The place was usually packed, but that just added to the friendly atmosphere—the locals even made room for us at their table! I enjoyed plenty of Kölsch, and thanks to the bartender’s recommendation, I discovered Lagerkorn from Sasse, which paired perfectly with the beer. The food was amazing—very tasty, hearty portions, and great value for the price. The service was top-notch and fun, and I even got a bottle of Sasse to take home. The decor, with old photos and clocks on the walls, really adds to the authentic feel. If you’re in Cologne and want a genuine local experience, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Typical Kōlsche Veedels restaurant with a small menu (Fooderkat) for the international and local audience. Upscale brewery cuisine with vegetarian options. Attentive, friendly service with delicious Kōlsch and usual drinks. A restaurant also for small appetites right at the counter and cozy places to linger with outdoor catering. Prices within the usual framework of a big city. We immediately felt comfortable. Definitely a recommendation.

For me personally, Haus Zeyen is a feel-good bar. Friendly and courteous staff with delicious home-style food. The price is absolutely in line with other restaurants in the area. Clean toilets and a rustic atmosphere that takes you back to your youth. Not a hip trendy pub, but very cozy and with the charm of an old Veedels pub. For me personally one of the best bars in Cologne. I look forward to the next visit. Others can learn a lesson from this. 👍

I had the spit roast with fried potatoes and salad for EUR 12.90. The other dishes were also great value for money. The service was very friendly and quick... Again any time.

Es ist ein großes Erlebnis in dieser urkölschen Kneipe und im Restaurant zu essen. Der Wirsing ist absolut spitze. Besonders toll ist der Kellner, immer für einen Witz gut. Uns hat es riesig Spaß gemacht.
