Hari's Indian Restaurant in Lingen (Ems)

The new Hari's returent is a good one in Lingen. I tried the roti, butter chicken, and panner butter masala, and it was good.

We passed here by chance. Despite a full reservation, we still got a table. The service was very nice. The restaurant was nicely furnished and decorated. We all ate vegetarian food. It was very tasty.

Very great cozy restaurant. Very good service and facilities. Invites you to linger.

Brown rice with saffron and butter didn't really appeal to me. But saffron is also very expensive, so only a few grains of rice were a little reddish. I couldn't tell from the taste that it was saffron. Starter was garlic bread. You were asked if you wanted three sauces as a dip. Cleverly done, because it wasn't mentioned in terms of price that these 3 small mini sauces cost €3 extra. It was suggested that you could test everything in this way. If you’re clever, you can’t directly imply “cheering on”. I didn't like that. The main course was lamb, but I had to look for lamb. Thick sauce where the mini pieces of lamb were in it, but you had to look for them. Bottle of Gerolsteiner, like almost everywhere these days, is also too expensive. Dessert was then saved, it was a lot in terms of price and all the things mentioned didn't raise the Indian food to first place. It was OK, but according to my taste there is still a lot of room for improvement or Indian food is not my thing.

It's a shame that I didn't discover this pearl of culinary art sooner. As soon as you enter you are taken into a paradise of “feel good”. Caused by the harmonious ambience in combination with a touch of incense and the extremely charming, reserved but very attentive staff who are happy to answer any questions. It was also necessary for me because it was my first visit to an Indian restaurant. The lovely lady explained everything important to me and also recommended really tasty dishes. She also pointed out the variations in the level of spiciness and the combination of vegetarian and animal (e.g. in dishes on a plate). That was great. The quality, taste and presentation of the food was just as great. The size of the portion was also absolutely sufficient for me as a heavy eater. Can't understand other reviews here or it was changed by October 27th, 2024. An absolute culinary experience. I had the bread with garlic, the three sauces, then butter chicken curry with saffron rice in beginner's heat, and then the pistachio ice cream. A dream. And the price for everything was too cheap rather than too expensive. I'll definitely go back. But ... which is absolutely understandable given the performance on offer: ABSOLUTELY PRE-ORDER!!!

Sehr, sehr leckeres Essen und sehr gute Auswahl. Und die Portionen sind sehe gut und ausreichend. Das ist Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Und die Beratung zur Auswahl der Speisen war sehr professionell. Das Ambiente ist hell und freundlich. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

After our 3rd visit, here is my unreserved recommendation. A well-rounded and very successful evening with reserved, professional, attentive service and great cuisine. The ability to combine the starters with the extremely successful chutneys works fantastically and the main courses really fit together very well. And the two homemade ice cream desserts (we had the mango-based version and the pistachio version) at the end were also a real dream. 5 stars for all courses! Here people with knowledge, experience, creativity and love for good food have really thought about it and the kitchen "closes the bag" and knows how to implement it impressively well. Thanks!

Tip top 🔝 Recommend 😉. Was very positively surprised. And I can allow myself to judge Indian cuisine. Because I spent almost three years of my life in India. And as you can imagine, we tasted one or two Indian meals… The ambience of the house is very pleasant. it is not overloaded with Indian ambience. But has a touch of modernity. The owner is a very, very nice person. With whom you can also enjoy a chat after eating Price performance is ok. I paid about the same at my hotel yesterday… But it was worth every cent. A little note. Which didn't bother me much after I was with you for the first time. Are the Italy pictures. This sometimes gives the impression that it is an Italian restaurant. The food yesterday was indescribably delicious and will remain in our memories for a long time. We were completely satisfied and can only warmly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Come by and see for yourself.

After numerous recommendations, we decided to pay a visit to "Hari's Indian Restaurant". The long journey to Lingen undoubtedly paid off: Not only is the staff very courteous and helpful, the food and ambience were also surprisingly good. Hari's Indian Restaurant is probably one of the best Indian restaurants in Germany: If you want traditional Indian food, this is the right place for you. Compared to the quality and size of the portions, the price is almost free: such an inexpensive selection of Indian food is still a rarity in Germany. It is recommended to visit the restaurant in larger groups and then share the food together so that the variety of the restaurant can be fully exploited. A highlight was the homemade kulfi with pistachios: I last ate something authentic like this in Chennai, pure nostalgia! We are already looking forward to coming back soon!

I am extremely disappointed. We once had some kind of chicken and fish curry. For the price, the portions are very small and the meat and fish are also overcooked and far too dry. The best thing was the rice, although a different type of rice with the dish instead of the one shown is very steep with an additional charge of €3 to €6. Too bad.

Also das war echt Seher gute Bedingung ein tolles Essen ok für zwei Personen war der Tisch zu klein passte nicht alles auf den Tisch aber echt 🙌

Went there for the first time yesterday, wonderful atmosphere, very friendly staff with good service and the food was very delicious! The restaurant has a large selection of different dishes, including for vegans and vegetarians. It's just a shame that the portions are so small... unfortunately we weren't completely full 🙈

We are disappointed... Yes, the food is delicious but the value for money is not there. We ordered and paid over €55. Just under €20 per chicken in sauce, so €40. Then at home the surprise...There were only 5-6 small pieces in it :( and for 20€ a bit of rice and bread... for 55€ We decanted it to make it look appetizing... But the pictures clearly show how little it is. The meat cost 20€...that's chicken...

Everything was good. Food delicious. Portions big enough. Service good and friendly. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options available, spiciness can be selected. Will definitely come back again 👍

Unfortunately for Asians, having a sense of home and taste is not the right thing... If necessary, adapt the map to discover other audiences.

After we were very excited in February, we now have to say: catastrophe!! Dirty placemats, dry fried/cooked food. Missing desserts. Poor drinks service. Not again for the time being. Maybe you should also clear the weeds in the beer garden. The food was far too expensive for the quality delivered!!!!!

We were here for the first time, We didn't know Indian cuisine, First impression, very friendly welcome, nice restaurant, We then had a starter, various vegetables and types of bread with 3 dips, which was delicious. For the main course we had shrimp and the mixed tandoori plate. Conclusion: delicious food and attentive service, Gladly again

Very tasty original Indian cuisine. Various curries and tandoori dishes. Good selection of desserts too and don't forget the starters. I would be happy to come back, thank you very much. On Georg Street for some time now. Very nice atmosphere here, neat and clean. The boss comes to the table, asks if everything is okay and is happy to provide information about the food and its preparation.

I ordered by phone, three portions with one *extra* bread. The extra bread was the only bread there was, so two people were left without bread. Individual orders cannot be fulfilled here. You order something extra spicy and it arrives normally. Overall, the food tastes good, but unfortunately that's no use if the customers' wishes aren't taken into account.

It was a really nice evening with good food. Everything was delicious. For our taste it could have tasted a little more like Indian spices. The space we had was a bit cramped, but still ok. The restaurant was busy and therefore it was a bit noisy. We would recommend making a reservation in advance. Will definitely come here again.

Very friendly staff with an individual, personal approach. The type of rice to go with the main course was explained and recommended to us. That was very helpful. The nan with the chutneys was very good. I could have imagined the Tandori Masala to be spicier, unfortunately you weren't asked which level of spiciness you preferred. Very well-kept atmosphere, but this is a first requirement when visiting a restaurant, which has now become quite expensive.

Fantastic! We had to wait a bit at the beginning because we were a large group and we were compensated by appetizers and a round of drinks on the house. The staff was very nice and the food came quite quickly. In my opinion a top shop with friendly staff and good food. The only negative thing that could be said is that the drinks are served in quite small portions. Still a very deserved 5/5 stars!

It was my first time at Hari's and I was really impressed. Very nice staff, great ambience and super delicious food.

The two of us were at Haris's on Saturday evening. The vegetarian dishes tasted very good, but there could have been more Indian cheese with the delicious sauce. The narrowness between the tables bothered us; undisturbed conversations are not possible. We also found the tight time frame unfavorable... we had to hurry up to finish on time because the next guests were already arriving. A little more time would be nice here... you don't go out to eat every day.

We have been regular guests at Hari's for many years and were very excited about the new rooms. It turned out really great, very bright and friendly, with good sound insulation. As always, the food is of the highest quality and a super friendly and competent staff.

Wir wollten einen schönen Abend im Haris verbringen, wurde leider nichts! Vorspeise: gebackenes und frittiertes Gemüse für zwei Personen zu einem Preis von 14,50: es waren drei Scheiben Auberginen, drei rohe Scheiben Kartoffeln und ein paar Zwiebelstreifen. Alles schmeckte nach altem Fritierfett. Die Hauptgerichte für je 19,90 Euro bestanden aus vier Stücke Hähnchen in einer Soße , Safran Reis (gegen Aufpreis) hatte den Safran von weitem gesehen, ebenfalls sind die Getränkepreise ebenfalls sehr hoch ( 0,2 l Cola zu 2,90 €) . Insgesamt ein enttäuschender, viel zu teurer Abend.

The food is still phenomenal. The atmosphere is a bit too modern for my taste, I preferred the feeling of the old restaurant. The service staff are very friendly, but on Saturday evenings when all the tables are occupied it takes a while. But I don't expect anyone to break themselves either. Gladly again and again!

First of all: The food deserves 5 stars. Extremely tasty and strongly spiced with Indian spices. The portion sizes are good. You can also create an appetizer or dessert. We had nan bread with chutney, lamb with spinach and marinated lamb on a skewer with curry sauce. Top! Otherwise everything is a bit cramped. So when the waitress served at the next table, the rear view for us was uncomfortably close to the table and almost at eye level. But why it's not 5 stars is the thing with the wine. You pay for 0.2 l, but you get an estimated 100-120 ml in small wine glasses that do not have a calibration mark. When we asked the service they said it was a 0.2 liter wine. I do not think so… For transparency alone, I would be happy with glasses with a calibration mark.

Very tasty food with a real Indian touch. We filled the table with lots of little things and enjoyed the food. The spiciness is adapted to our more sensitive tongues, but the good taste was unaffected. Yommy!

Leider nicht satt geworden. Waren etwas enttäuscht und hatten uns auch von den Gerichten mehr erwartet. Soßen stark mit Glutamat zubereitet. Hätten ich auch selber machen können. Aperol und Lillet kaum Alkohol enthalten. Leider kein 2. Mal.

Were there on Valentine's Day. We were told as soon as we came in that we only had 90 minutes because then new guests would arrive. Maybe you should say it directly on the phone when you make a reservation. It took a very long time between courses. And ended up paying 90 euros. I found it too expensive. We wouldn't come again on Valentine's Day.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to the table. The menu includes a great selection. You are asked whether you want your food to be spicy or how spicy it can be. We had various naan bread with dips and meat swap (forgot name😁) with lamb. The main course was chicken tandoni Marsala. Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the lovely service and the great food. 10 out of 10 😍

Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ich habe mich für das ,,Menüvorschlag 2" für ca. 30€ entschieden und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Verschiedene Arten von Menüs kamen nach und nach, von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Am besten reservieren. Großen Lob an die Köche.

Sehr authentische und leckere Küche, gepflegte Getränke, nettes Ambiente, toller Service! Was will man mehr? Papas Handschrift ist nicht zu verleugnen...

Man wurde dort sehr freundlich empfangen und alle waren sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut, durch die vielen Gewürze, für jeden Gaumen etwas dabei. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt, nach dem Hauptgang dauerte es etwas lang, bis jemand kam und wir dann das Dessert bekamen. Lag wahrscheinlich auch daran, dass es gut gefüllt war. Trotzdem sollte man öfter mal den Blick schweifen lassen. Wir freuen uns schon, wenn Sie umgezogen sind und werden auch wiederkommen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, denn die indische Küche ist sehr lecker. 👍👍

Ich habe kürzlich das Restaurant besucht und war beeindruckt. Die Speisekarte war unglaublich lecker. Ich habe eine Zahnpastasoße probiert und sie war perfekt. Der Service war auch sehr einladend und lächelte ständig. Es wäre toll, mehr vegane Gerichte auf die Speisekarte zu setzen und mehr Biersorten anzubieten. Ich würde es auch begrüßen, wenn es ab und zu Livemusik gäbe. Nicht zu vergessen, haben sie auch eine wunderschöne Heimatambiente! Ich kann es nur empfehlen, Hari zu besuchen und sich einmal selbst überzeugen zu lassen.

Wir waren schon sehr oft da und sind immer wieder top zufrieden! Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker und die Servicekräfte sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich habe schon häufig indisch gegessen und dieses ist eines der besten indischen Restaurants, die ich je besucht habe. Man sollte jedoch daran denken unaufgefordert einen Schärfegrad bei der Bestellung anzugeben, da ansonsten keine Schärfe vorhanden ist. Letztes Mal war sehr viel los, weshalb die Servicekräfte wenig Zeit hatten und lange auf sich warten lassen haben (trotzdem wie immer sehr freundlich!). Das Ambiente ist völlig in Ordnung, jedoch kann es etwas eng werden (liegt natürlich auch an der hohen Nachfrage; Reservierung meist notwendig).

Nothing special. Indian food which seems to be made without a sense of love for the Indian cuisine. Tasted quite bland and boring, you can make this at home. We just went to an Indian restaurant in London, then you know the difference to real quality. Service & atmosphere at Hari’s is ok, only, the girl doesn’t speak Indian, unfortunately.

Schon mehrfach dort Essen gewesen. Letzten Freitag erst wieder und jedesmal, ist das Essen einfach mega lecker. Ob es die Naan-Brote mit den dips sind oder das Butter Chicken oder ein anderes Gericht. Allerdings kann ich persönlich das Mango Eis nicht empfehlen. Servicekräfte sind auch immer freundlich und bemüht. Wir kommen weiterhin zum Essen :)

Hari‘s ist eines der besten indischen Restaurants, welches ich kenne. Das Essen ist super lecker und mit den beiden Menü-Vorschlägen kann man auch sehr viel von der Karte ausprobieren. Ebenfalls sehr lecker sind die Vorspeisen aus verschiedenen Broten mit drei Saucen zum dippen (scharf, Mango, Minze). Die Preise sind leider etwas höher, aber bei der Qualität des Essen nimmt man das gerne in Kauf.

Ein Restaurant in dem man eher in Turnschuhen als in Abendgarderobe sitzt. Gutes Essen, freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service sowie vollkommen akezeptable Preise ( bei uns für zwei Personen mit Menü nach Karte, also drei Gänge, und drei Getränke zusammen für rund 80 Euro). Spontan ein freien Platz zu bekommen ist schwer zu realisieren, also besser einen Tisch reservieren.

Sehr sauber und gepflegt, dazu absolut leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Hier geht man gerne noch einmal hin. Das selbstgemachte Eis ist der Hammer 🔨

Pro: ich bin eine große Fan von indisches Essen und ich muss sagen das Hari's ist das beste was ich gegessen habe. Das Ambiente trifft auch mein Geschmack. Contra: Der Preis ist viel zu teuer, ich habe ein Kheema nannte Brot, ein Prawn Bhajee ein mixed Tandori und 2 weizen Bier gehabt. Ich habe fast 59 Euro bezahlt. Leider war auch manches auf der Teller versalzen, warum macht ihr das? Nichts als zu Trotz werde ich wieder hingehen

Great Indian food! I am here for work traveling from Texas and the food here is as good as you can get back in Houston. Level 2 spicy has no spice to it, so I'll try leve 3 tomorrow.

Es handelt sich nicht um ein 5-Sterne-Restaurant. Aber die Preise sind teurer als 5-Sterne-Restaurants. Das Essen ist auch nicht so dramatisch fantastisch. Vorspeisen waren gut zubereitet, ansonsten war das Hauptgericht nicht gut gekocht und alles verbrannt. Nicht zu empfehlen. Auch die Take Away Box kostet Geld. Nicht dein Ernst, oder? Direkt gegenüber gibt es ein deutsches Restaurant. Mit cooler Optik. Da kannst du hingehen. Hier nicht.

Wir waren von der Arbeit dort, haben einen Tag vorher reserviert und glücklicherweise noch einen Tisch bekommen. Wir wurden super bedient, wir mussten nichts selber machen da uns alles zusammengestellt wurde. Ein super Service. Wir werden auf jedenfall noch einmal kommen !

Ein kleines & gemütliches Restaurant mit sehr leckeren indischen Spezialitäten. Wir haben uns für den Menüvorschlag 2 entschieden (30€ pro Person), der 2 Vorspeisen, eine Hauptspeise und ein Dessert enthält. Für die Portionen ist der Preis echt happig, aber man wird aufjedenfall satt. Als erste Vorspeise gab es das Naan-Brot was sehr, sehr lecker ist (vor allem Cheese- & Garlic-Naan). Zweite Vorspeise war dann das Lammgehackte am Spieß - sehr toller Geschmack, viele Gewürze - ich war sehr überzeugt. Meine Begleitung hatte die Fried Onions, die auch vom Geschmack überzeugt haben. Zur Hauptspeise dann das Butter Chicken - auch Top. Die vegetarische Option mit indischem Käse kann man auch nur empfehlen. Dessert (Mango Kulfi & Kesire) waren auch gut, jedoch nichts für meinen Geschmack. Essen sowie auch Bedienung insgesamt 5/5. Leider kam mein Getränk (Mango Lassi) erst bei der zweiten Vorspeise. Zudem verstehen wir nicht den Aufschlag von 1€, wenn man etwas einpacken lassen möchte - ich meine es ist doch besser, dass Essen mitzunehmen als dann wegzuschmeißen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Da die indische Küche nicht so oft in Norddeutschland vertreten ist musste ich nun endlich mal Hari´s Indian Restaurant ausprobieren. Der Service war sehr freundlich und die Gerichte wurden zügig zubereitet. Das Restaurant ist etwas kleiner, aber man versucht mit dem Ambiente das Beste daraus zu machen. Die Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker und von der Größe her in Ordnung. Das Chicken Tikka Masala hat uns am Besten geschmeckt.

We hadden vegetarische panir met (minuscule stukjes spinazie), grill tandori en aardappelgerecht. Het was vooral saus en nog eens saus en alle gerechten smaakten hetzelfde door dezelfde saus. De tandori was niet bijzonder van smaak. Al met al een teleurstelling met een hoog prijskaartje.

Sehr schnelle Lieferung und freundlich. Essen war absolut köstlich und schön scharf. Zwar etwas teuer aber ich kann's nur weiter empfehlen.

We love Indian cuisine! And in our country we went to one for over 20 years, until the quality and service went down the drain after management changes. We ate and still eat in many Indian restaurants around the world, some were bad and some were good, never the quality of our local favorite. Until now!! Hari's has very friendly staff, perfect knowledge about their cuisine and clearly very experienced. The food was exquisite, like it should be, there was no dish we did not like. And even with our long history of eating in Indian restaurants we much appreciated the gentle advice Did not let us order too much when we tended to, they kindly pointed that out to us. It made us come back a second time to have diner [we had a three day stay in town] and absolutely enjoyed it again, like the 1st time. When you ever decide to open a restaurant in our area, you can be assured you have a couple regulars :-) And although it's quite a distance away from us, we definitely will come again.

Kleine Portionen, Butterchicken kostet saftige 15€, Seltsamerweise ist es auf Lieferando günstiger als im Lokal. Vll 3-4 Stückchen Fleisch in der Sauce Gibt definitiv bessere Alternativen, selbst in Bayern ist es günstiger und schmeckt besser bei größeren Portionen
