Viele Biker trinken hier gerne Kaffee oder essen Abens noch eben was. Top.

Tolle Lage, schöner Treffpunkt für Radler Biker,und natürlich auch für alle anderen Ausflügler. Der Service war super nett. Das Essen war ok, bei uns war das Schweineschnitzel leider zu durch. Vielleicht war das eine Ausnahme, wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbei, dann wirds bestimmt besser. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist sehr gut

Super nettes junges Personal. Das Konzept mit dem Duzen finde ich super und locker... Ich bin 48 meine Mama 75 .. Kommen gerne wieder

Leute Leute,absolute Anlaufstelle. Alle Bedienungen immer auf Zack. Leider nichts gegessen aber auch von innen Ambiente sehr schick. Es läuft da absolut. Meine Favoritin heute ,hat mir den Tag gerettet. Weiter so ihr lieben. Jemand aus'm Ruhrpott.

Wir standen mit unseren Camper in der Nähe und wegen Regen fiel das Kochen flach. Leckeres Jägerschnitzel und Kilkenny vom Fass - ein Traum. Außerdem war die Musik im Hintergrund der Hammer!!! Falls wir nochmal in die Ecke kommen - wird wieder nicht gekocht!!!

Auf Grund der Wetterlage konnten wir heute nur drinnen sitzen, so war der Kanalblick durchs Fenster möglich, auch nett. Wir haben ein Getränk bestellt, bis wir bestellen konnten brauchten wir Geduld, auch andere Gäste mussten zum Tresen und die Bedienung auffordern. Egal, das Bier hat geschmeckt, die Location ist "interessant" und wir waren mal dort.

Mega leckere Speisen und toller Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Super Burger, freundliche und versierte Bedienung, schönes Ambiente. Ist auch ein toller Treffpunkt für Motorradfahrer. Freundlicher Hinweis: Nur der Espresso hat noch etwas Luft nach oben…

Man kommt rein und fühlt sich wohl. Essen ist für alle gleichzeitig fertig gewesen und hat super geschmeckt. Der Service hat alles im Blick und wir hatten, trotz voller Hütte, kaum Wartezeiten. Einfach nur zu empfehlen

Ich war gestern seit langem Mal wieder im Grünen Jäger, zuletzt vor etwas mehr als 2 Jahren. Mein Erlebnis gestern hat mich dazu bewegt eine neue Renzensiin zu schrieben. Zum Essen kann ich leider noch nichts sagen. Bei den Getränken dafür um so mehr. Es gab vernünftig und frisch gezapftes Köstritzer Dunkel. Dazu perfekt temperierter Jägermeister und zum "probieren" einen Apfel-Blaubeere Likör der Privatbrennerei H. Heydt. Preis lichtorientiert sich der Grüne Jäger in einem leicht gehobenen Niveau, dafür bekommt man vernünftige Geteänke, freundliches und professionelles Personal, das die Gäste nicht lange warten lässt. Ich war gestern sehr gut zufrieden und freue mich auf weitere zukünftige Besuche im Grünen Jäger. Danke für die positive Erfahrung bei euch!

Neugierig auf den Wildburger. War einfach ein gemütlicher Abend. So geht kleine Auszeit. Hingehen, hinsetzen, freuen. Kommen sicher wieder

Waren heute zum Frühstück da , alles tutti, Qualität wie immer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Servicewüste, ist noch zu gut! Die Kellnerinnen laufen leer, zurück anstatt schon mal Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Insgesamt bewegt man sich eher träge, es wirkt katastrophal, unorganisiert und das führt zu wartenden, unzufriedenen Gästen.

Tolles Restaurant, gute Musik, super Bedienung. Hunde sind auch erlaubt. Ciao Anja

Wir sind immer wieder gerne im Grünen Jäger, das Essen ist super und der Service ist klasse , nette Gespräche bei guter Musik und leckeren Getränken Wir kommen wieder ✌️

Der "Grüner Jäger" warb mit einem drei Länder Burger Special. Die von KI entwickelte Werbung weckte auch bei uns gewisse Erwartungen. Aber entscheidet selbst, das erste Bild die Werbung, das zweite Bild ist der servierte Mexiko Burger . . . Der Bun war gut nur auf der Innenseite nicht geröstet, das Patty war gut (medium), die Fritten gut. Die Jalapeños waren geschmacklich gut, leider zu wenig auf einem Mexiko Burger. Der gewählte Käse, hier Scheiblettenkäse geht bei einem Burger nicht - NEVER! Die Guacamole war schlicht weg ungewürzt. Die verwendete Salsa zu schwach. Der gem. Werbung knackige Salat wurde durch Weißkohlsalat ersetzt. Unterm Strich ist da noch Luft nach oben. Das haben wir auch so zur Kenntnis gebracht.

Tolle Location (Stühle leider ungemütlich). Super Bedienung. Lecker Essen (Portionen könnten etwas größer sein) lecker Bier, faire Preise. Jederzeit wieder !

Eigentlich super,waren zum Frühstücksbuffet dort,riesige Auswahl,von bis ,für jeden was dabei ,aber immer ein Weg vom Sitzplatz am Tresen vorbei zum Buffetraum ,etwas umständlich...ist halt ne Kneipe. Kostet aber auch 25 Euro p.P.

Wie immer, auch nach der Übernahme!!! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne! Danke….

Update 2026: leckeres Essen, schön gestaltetes Lokal und ein sehr zuvorkommender Service, der alle Erwartungen übertrifft.

Essen hat etwas länger gedauert, aber es waren alle begeistert. Auf jeden Fall immer einen Besuch wert 👍

Zweite Mal dort gewesen und es war super. Schneller Service und das Essen war lecker. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir sind seit Öffnung des GJ dabei. Essen vegetarisch. Der Salat ist nur noch ein besserer Beilagensalat. Entspricht in keinster Weise dem alten Angebot. Vegetarische Gerichte sind sehr ärmlich aber genauso teuer wie volle Fleischteller. Sehr enttäuschend.

Szene Treff der besonderen Art. Liegt malerisch direkt am Dortmund -Ems Kanal. Manchmal Live Musik. Tolles Ambiente. Nette Gäste.

Wenn man einen Barabend wirklich genießen will, kann man hier perfekt hin. Gute mukke und gutes Bier und das mitten im nirgendwo.

Es war mal wieder sehr schön im grünen Jäger. Die Spareribs wurden mit vielen Dips, Pommes, Wedges und Coleslaw geliefert. Von uns volle Punktzahl 👍

I went there to eat with a friend, but they brought me the wrong burger and didn't offer any advice. It's a shame, otherwise it's a good place.

Great place. Nice decor, really good food, and incredibly friendly and competent staff. We had the spare ribs and the schnitzel, and both were really good and not expensive at all. What I always like is when the sauce comes separately with the spare ribs. Lots of friendly, young staff who are really competent. Highly recommended.

It used to be good here, but unfortunately, the menu doesn't offer many options for non-vegans. I only find burgers, and I don't want those. I won't be coming back. I won't be back until there's something proper to eat.

Hello dear Jäger team, We will miss you and the good food. We always enjoyed being with you.

I arrived just before the kitchen closed and still got a juicy meal. Just as you'd expect, plenty on the plate and plenty of sauces and dips.

Beautiful again. But it's a shame that the Grüner Jäger is closing at the end of the month. I've always enjoyed coming here.

We stopped here on a bike ride to the shop. Very friendly staff, great view from the terrace. We'll be back

Nice restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff.

The food and service are excellent. However, the prices quickly rise because the main courses are served without side dishes, which you have to order separately.

We were there for a birthday party and can say it was completely worth it. The pub is simply fantastic. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was perfect. The service is very attentive, friendly, and quick. Despite the large number of visitors, everything is very well maintained. The selection of draft beers is simply outstanding for a pub or day-trip restaurant. The location is very idyllic on the canal. Since the pub will only be open until September 2025, you should hurry to visit.

First of all, the service is really great. Very attentive, always nice and friendly. So close to closing, I expected the food to be really lavish. But that wasn't the case. An antipasti plate with pitted olives, a bit of feta cheese, and strange eggplants—it was nothing flavorful. Vegetarian tortillas filled only with peppers and corn, and not even fully topped. The baked potato wasn't great either. Food-wise, this is a significant decline from the past. Only the pulled beef burger was okay.

Unfortunately closed at the end of August.

I was soooo disappointed – my vegetarian meal was only half as much and the price had gone up. It was the same price as a substantial meat meal. We always liked it there, but not anymore, what a shame!

I was in Lingen for assembly in 2000 and always went there for dinner on weekends. The atmosphere and the food were top-notch back then. What I liked best was that they had live music there—at least back then. I'm back at the Kraftwerk now and will be eating and drinking there again soon. I'm looking forward to it. The fact that the place is still there is usually a good sign.

All in all, I'm absolutely thrilled with the service and the food. I can only recommend this restaurant. You should definitely eat here... I highly recommend the cuisine.

On our bike ride...oh let's stop there...we were greeted very warmly...even though the beer garden was full, they still had a seat for us...thank you...they were very nice and friendly...and they gave us the menu on a tablet...thank you...the food was very good...and the staff were very nice and attentive...everything is just right here and we will be happy to visit again next time...:-)..do it again

The service in the green Jäger and the ambience are very good. Very nice outdoor area right on the canal. Unfortunately I can't give a good rating for the food. The crispy breading on the Viennese style schnitzel is not to everyone's taste. Please indicate this in the menu. The hamburger patty tasted like cheap supermarket produce and the mixed salad was very small with very little dressing. All in all a nice place to visit but unfortunately the food wasn't good value for money.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Grüner Jäger 😊 We'd love to come back for dinner again. My meal was super delicious; I had spare ribs with fries. My husband had a classic cheeseburger, and he also thought it was delicious. He was just disappointed that the pulled beef burger he had originally ordered was sold out. The staff is super friendly, very quick, and always have a quick joke ready.

Das Essen war Sau lecker, die Stimmung war Mega und das Team vom Grünen Jäger / die Mädels haben einen absolut tollen Job gemacht ! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, bis zum nächsten Mal. LG Jörn

We went to the Grüner Jäger for breakfast brunch. Everything was so delicious and really relaxed. A variety of dishes were brought to the buffet all the time, and you could try them all at your leisure. It was truly lovely. And everyone was so kind and attentive.

We were in Lingen for training and now at the Grüner Jäger for the second day in a row. Both great food, good service and nice atmosphere. The spare ribs are some of the best I've had in a restaurant, large portions and fair prices. The drinks menu is also extensive and not only filled with standard drinks, for example Guinness on tap. If I ever find myself on the corner again, a visit here is definitely planned. Great job, keep it up!

I have often been to Grüner Jäger to have a drink or a snack. A great ambience and a “cool” concept with funny spellings e.g. Börger etc. complete the overall picture. All the service staff, including the boss, are super accommodating and you can tell that the working atmosphere here is good. Would love to come back.

Simply delicious! I was looking for a place that also offered vegan dishes and not just fries. I was made aware of this restaurant through another post. First of all: Nice, cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy (which often speaks for a good reputation) so you have to have some patience and time, but it's not dramatic. When I asked, the vegan menu was brought to me. As shown in the pictures, I chose a vegan burger and fried potatoes. What I really liked was that instead of using a substitute product, a homemade potato and carrot potato pancake was used as a patty. Nice and crispy, very hot and super tasty! Fried potatoes also well seasoned and nice and crispy. We'll definitely eat there again. Please keep it up!

The service was first class from start to finish. The staff was not only incredibly friendly but also very attentive, even though we were a larger group of 14 people. Drinks were served quickly, special requests were taken into account immediately, and we felt well looked after. The food was absolutely fine and the burgers were particularly impressive. Everything was always fresh and hot. The atmosphere in the “Green Hunter” was also very pleasant – stylish and cozy at the same time. We had a great time and enjoyed the evening to the fullest. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we'll definitely be back! A big thank you to the entire team for the great service and wonderful food. Absolutely recommended!

Addendum 2024: Even 4 years later, the Green Hunter is still great. The location right on the river where you can see ships passing by. The ambience, the huge selection of drinks and freshly tapped beer and the rocking music selection are exactly my taste. Tip; I've never seen anything like the bathroom where women wash their hands on the toilet on the other side of the aquarium! 😄 We all enjoyed the food very much. The conditions was very cool and attentive. The price alone is sometimes really high. If you order a "bone plate" (half spare rip & chicken wings 🍗) for €17, I think a BBQ dip should be included. But you have to pay extra for everything (e.g. fries). Plate €16.95 + side salad €3.50 + BBQ dip €1.50 = €21.95 2020: Great ribs and Guinness on tap
