Hansekai in Hamburg

If you don't know it, you almost can't find it. And yet our visit was totally worth it. Very tasty food was served, the frequently changing menu offers something for every taste and the seat right by the water is a bonus. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the prices are a little higher, but they more than do justice to the high quality. The highlight is the cooperation with the neighboring organic brewery. We would love to come back!

There is no other option than 5 stars for the Hansekai team. We were able to celebrate our dream wedding with you and are really thrilled with the entire staff and service. The contact was great from the first second - we were able to contact the owners at any time with any question and quickly received solutions and answers. The food (we had the live grill buffet) was great & the Southside was an absolute hit all evening long. We were looked after very well, the staff were really lovely and we would celebrate our wedding at the Hansekai again at any time. Thank you for everything!

It was simply perfect 😍 We celebrated our wedding here in May with friends and family. All 55 guests raved just as much as we did. Big compliments to the Hansekai team, everyone was incredibly friendly, courteous and in a good mood. That made our day. The food was incredibly delicious. The drinks on point. We've heard from married couples how stressful planning and arranging a wedding can be. We had a completely different experience with the Hansekai. Every wish was granted to us, many great suggestions came from Jan, who did the planning with us. We couldn't have imagined it better. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart ♥️

Can only recommend their weekend brunch for great variety of dishes and good quality of food. We liked that place so much that we organised our wedding at Hansekai. Absolutely no regrets - great experience from the first meeting with the owner to the wedding day itself. They provide a lot of flexibility and they make sure to make your special day as much relaxed and stress free as possible. The location itself is beautiful with the modern industrial architecture and the pier that can be reached by boat (Barkasse). Food (barbecue buffet) was delicious and heavily complemented by the wedding guests. Big thanks to Jan and his team for the fantastic experience!

We were there for Sunday brunch. Pleasant ambience, view not that sensational, atmosphere is not too loud as the rooms are not too big. Service was very nice and courteous, almost too attentive. The brunch buffet was excellent. The fresh rustic bread and the grilled vegetables were great. The selection of cold, warm, veggie and normal dishes was very, very good. There are a lot of things I've never seen at a brunch buffet before. Scampis in garlic e.g. B. The sautéed mushrooms with pine nuts were also great. Egg dishes are prepared as desired and in show cooking, and later pancakes too. All in all top quality. So not cheap, but absolutely worth the money. Gladly again.

Location sehr speziell an die Architektur des Hansekais angepasst, also weit oben postindustriell mit oxidiertem Metall überdacht und unten noch einmal mit einer Markise, aber insgesamt sehr luftig und frisch an kühlen Sommertagen. Wenn es eine tropische Nacht ist: super. In den Zwischentemperaturen trotz Wärmestrahler und Leihdecken frisch. Im Winter nur drinnen, wo nur wenige Plätze sind. Essen einwandfrei, könnte vielleicht kräftiger gewürzt sein. Service sehr gut und zukunftsweisend, da man alle Bestellungen per App erledigen kann, sogar zahlen, was lästige Wartezeiten erspart. Großes Plus ist die Möglichkeit über den Wasserweg anzulegen, also per gemieteten Boot für ein Event oder privat mit Kanu oder SUP.

Delicious breakfast/brunch. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. Many options. Hot and cold. Also for those with a savory or sweet tooth. There was even vegetarian currywurst. It was a very nice Sunday.

Seldom eaten so badly: Mexican burgers with fries that were totally over salted and the burger wasn't seasoned at all. The "homemade" guacamole was a hint of hard avocado with red onion snippets. The beef patty then costs another €3 for the regular burger price of €16, € extra, fries €4. Why??? This burger isn't worth 20. Didn't eat despite being hungry. The only positive thing about the shop is the friendly staff and service, who asked if my half-eaten burger and fries were tasty. He wanted to pass on my honest answer to the kitchen. Too bad about the money

We first visited the restaurant at Hansekai and decided to celebrate our wedding in the beautiful location. The wedding was fantastic and the service and food were just great. All guests loved the steak. Better than any steakhouse…

The burgers were very tasty and freshly prepared. The chocolate mousse is also highly recommended for dessert.

There were four of us there and unfortunately our overall visit was disappointing. The meal took a very long time and the salad was a big disappointment: it was missing bread, corn, mushrooms and the mixed seeds. After our complaint, a small spoonful of corn and a mushroom were added, but that wasn't enough. There was also a separate dressing on our order, but it was not delivered. As an apology we were told that the trainee made the salad, but for us that didn't justify the poor quality. The burgers were okay, and the shrimp pasta was tasty, but the portion was small. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice, which made the evening a little more pleasant. In the end we got a discount on the salad after our complaint. Overall it was still not a satisfactory experience and we hope that the service and quality of the food improve in the future.

We celebrated our wedding at Hansekai last weekend and couldn't have made a better choice. Everything went smoothly, from the first planning meeting to picking up the decorations the day after. Jan was available at any time and implemented our wishes perfectly with his team. The food at the wedding was highly praised by all guests several times, as was the fantastic location and the incredibly friendly and courteous staff. Absolute recommendation for celebrations of all kinds, but also for day-to-day business. We've had brunch, lunch and taken burgers home at the Hansekai - everything was delicious. We celebrated our wedding at the Hansekai in May 2024, including a free wedding ceremony by the water, dinner and party 🥳 Not only did we have a wonderful day, all of our guests also raved about the atmosphere and the food! Sunset photos on the roof terrace turned out fantastic and the location on the water gave us a real Hamburg feeling! We accepted many suggestions from the Hansekai and left the decoration and music to the recommended and tried and tested service providers - that was a great decision, everything went smoothly and hand in hand. I was just recently there for a wedding and it was absolutely amazing! It was so beautifully decorated and the food was amazing. From what I understand they have the whole package for the wedding, so they take care of everything for you. My friend, the bride, was so happy with the service in general so I definitely would recommend it! The food was amazing, so if you’re planing to have a meal there it will be for sure great!

We are thrilled with the delicious food, great service and the ambience is very nice. It's just fun to sit outside in the summer and let yourself be pampered. We'd love to come back!

Hello, I ordered from Hanse Kai Go and was shocked by the portion, I ordered the veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad for €28.00. As you can see in the photo, the schnitzel was very small, my hand was larger (and I really don't have big hands). Then cucumber salad, I'm amazed that they don't find it ridiculous themselves, but I also have to say on the positive side. Fried potatoes were a good portion otherwise it wouldn't have been possible to get full.

We were there for brunch and received a very friendly welcome. The service was fantastic and the breakfast was very rich and tasty. Only the warm dishes couldn't quite maintain the top level. The gratin was great, but the currywurst was missing curry powder to sprinkle on. The chicken legs were also delicious, but the truffle pasta wasn't quite my cup of tea. Overall, still 5 stars. I would even give the service 6 stars.

We fell in love with this location the first time we visited it and are still so happy that we were able to spend this day with you. The location itself has so much charm and offers so many options and the food and service was just great. We are still being asked how beautiful the wedding was and how fantastic and exceptionally good the food and natural drinks were (the Southside Cocktail is an absolute recommendation)! The location and furnishings were a surprise to us and we really liked it. The ordering process via cell phone, even though menu cards are at your desk, takes some getting used to and feels like a step more because the very friendly staff are immediately there if questions arise. But I think if you have practice with the process, then everything goes better. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food and products are ok. Yes, unfortunately just ok. It tasted good, but unfortunately not anymore. Do I have old prices in mind when you get 20€ for a relatively simple, not large burger (Mexican) with a (surprisingly large) portion of fries!? Basic burger 15€, crispy chicken surcharge 1€, fries 4€; There really are better and bigger burgers for the money because the taste was missing. Thick, cold tomato and cucumber slices make the thing "unwieldy" to eat and a little "watery" (maybe next time cut it very thinly and let it sit in a venaigrette first), simple store-bought sauces and ketchup (!), no recognizable taste mixture salty, sour and sweet. The crispy chicken was perhaps crispy before it was put in between, but unfortunately it was softened by the sauces or ketchup that felt cold and had a rather soft breading. Maybe a salty slice of bacon would have torn it all apart? My wife's truffle pasta also lacked sophistication, but was ok. The starter was an antipasti plate (€14). That also worked, but the passion was missing here too. It appeared that the vegetable slices were simply pickled and not caramelized in the pan with a sweet balsamic vinegar and fresh herbs and garlic. There were also 2 small slices (4 halves) of really tasty bread. Drinks and aperitifs are also good in terms of price. All in all simple and more of a "very upscale" contact point for the surrounding offices and companies. It's a shame that the kitchen doesn't quite match the restaurant and the service. There is more.

We ate in the restaurant with 9 people. The room where you sit and eat is a kind of giant tent. The ambience was still managed well. You don't feel like you're sitting in a tent. The room was heated. It was warm at the top, but unfortunately the feet were very cold. The food was good. The burgers are recommended. The service was very good. Super nice and attentive!! We were there on December 12th, 2023 and, which is really appropriate for the location, two Christmas parties took place. The space is large. So there was no problem with space. However, it got very loud, which made conversation a bit difficult.

Wir haben uns SO wohl gefühlt. Die Location liegt etwas versteckt aber das war es wert ein bisschen zu suchen☺️ Tolles Interieur und sehr leckeres Essen, sowie sehr zuvorkommende und nette Bedienung ☺️ Wir sind als Mädelsgruppe für ein Wochenende in Hamburg und würden gerne regelmäßig kommen. Sollten wir noch mal in der Ecke sein, schauen wir auf jeden Fall wieder rein. Ein Besuch lohnt sich zu 100%. Eine wahre Hamburger Perle ☺️

Hat mir nicht so gefallen, aber vielleicht bin ich auch nur aus dem Alter für solche hippen Locations raus. Ich hatte nach Bruschetta (war lecker und gut) das Kalbsschnitzel (war eindeutig Pressfleisch) mit Bratkartoffeln (geht auch besser) und Gurkensalat (aus Gewürzgurken-gewöhnungsbedürftig).

Sehr nette Bedienung. Essen total lecker 😋. Da muss man hin. Wenn man etwas mehr ausgeben möchte. Alles frisch zubereitet. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Guten Appetit!

Wir haben am Sonntag in einer Gruppe das Brunchangebot genutzt. Das Ambiente ist cool, aber bei niedriger Außentemperatur war es trotz der Heizstrahler etwas ungemütlich und zugig. Das Essenangebot war vielfältig und solide. Highlight ist die Rühreistation, wo individuell Omletts und später auch Pancakes zubereitet werden. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Bei den warmen Speisen fehlte mir das besondere Etwas. Bei 35 € Gesamtpreis fand ich 8 € extra für ein kleines Gläschen Sekt unangemessen.

Ein sehr schönes Resturant! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und geschmeckt hat es auch! Online bestellen und bezahlen war für mich gewöhnungsbedürftig hat aber gut geklappt. Danke für den schönen Abend!

Lokal ist etwas versteckt im Industriegebiet, aber wirklich eine Perle. Mega Brunch =Leckere warme und kalte Gerichte , unter amderem Salate, Antipasti, Rührei/Omelett Station, Desserts aller Art, wie Pancakes frisch gemacht... ganz toll. Dazu noch schick angerichtet und das Personal megafreundlich. Super!

Außergewöhnliche, tolle Location, direkt am Wasser mit wunderschönem Aussenbereich. Personal super freundlich und sehr höflich. Gute Burger, Pattys auch vegan und mit Bio Fleisch. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmig. Gerne wieder!

Das Wiener Schnitzel war dick und klein, statt dünn und groß und daher zäh. Der Burger war total trocken, dabei verdient die Menge an rohem Gemüse dadrauf ihr eigenes Dressing. Cocktails kamen unerwarteterweise in kleinen Longdrinkgläsern. Als der Kellner bei fast leeren Tellern fragte, ob alles ok sei und entsprechendes Feedback bekam,sagte er Klärung zu und kam nie wieder an den Tisch. Bezahlt wurde dann online nach mehreren Minuten. Für knapp 110 Euro für 3 Hauptgänge, 2 Cocktails und 1 Limo recht enttäuschend. An einem Feiertag am frühen Abend besucht, drei andere Tische besetzt.

Wir waren gestern Abend zu Gast im Hansekai. Es ist ein schönes und sauberes Restaurant mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Unser Kellner Castor war sehr freundlich, sympathisch, schnell und zuvorkommend. In der Karte ist für jeden etwas Leckeres zu finden. Über verschiedene Vorspeisen und Salate, bis hin zu Pastakreationen und Burgern, die selbst zusammengestellt werden können, bleibt kein Wunsch offen. Es werden sogar hausgemachte Limonaden angeboten, was uns wirklich gefallen hat. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen reichlich. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und die Location stylisch und modern aber trotzdem gemütlich. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ich kann die vorherigen Rezensionen nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Wir waren wirklich enttäuscht vom Essen und der Qualität, zu völlig überzogenen Preisen. Kalbsschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln aus der Tüte? Spaghetti mit Trüffelsauce eher matschig. Die Avocado-Spaghetti ebenso. Service dann noch über QR-Code abwickeln wollen ist dann die Krönung. Hansekai ist „viel gewollt und nicht gekonnt“. Wenn Sie gerne gut essen gehen und auch Geld dafür zahlen wollen/können,dann fahren sie lieber in die Stadt. Dann kriegen sie auch die Qualität, für die sie bezahlen.

Äußerst zuvorkommende (ohne aufdringlich zu sein) Versorgung durch einen jungen Mann, der uns gut beraten hat bei der Getränke- und Essensauswahl. Es gibt für jeden Geschmack etwas: Fleisch, Fisch, Vegetarisch und Vegan. Viele Speisen können sogar auch gepimmt werden mit Toppings! Die Location ist bestimmt auch super für Feiern geeignet! Wir haben den Aperitif am Wasser genommen und da es etwas kühl wurde, haben wir zum Essen in dem gut geschützten Freisitzbereich Platz genommen. Es gibt auch noch einen 'richtigen' Innenbereich, der modern gestaltet ist. Es lohnt sich hinzufahren! 👌

Wir haben im September unsere Hochzeit im Hansekai gefeiert! Alle Gäste waren vollkommen begeistert vom leckeren Grillbuffet, den guten Getränken und herausragendem Service! Unsere Wünsche wurden nicht nur im Vorgespräch durch Jan, sondern auch am Abend von der gesamten Crew immer berücksichtigt und in die Tat umgesetzt! Wir sind überglücklich, dass wir uns für das Hansekai entschieden haben! Die wunderschöne Deko von Viktoria Kaufmann hat dazu beigetragen, dass die Stimmung und das Ambiente zur grandiosen Feier beitrugen! Herzlichen Dank an Jan und Viktoria für die guten Absprachen, die Flexibilität und professionelle Unterstützung bei allen Fragen und Wünschen. Wir hätten es uns nicht schöner vorstellen können!

Leckere Burger mit guter Auswahl zum Zusammenstellen. Großartig ist das digitale Bestellsystem, kam bei meinen Jugendlichen super an. Toller Service, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder! Waren inzwischen des Öfteren da, mit verschiedenen Menschen und alle sind begeistert. In lauen Sommerabenden an dem Kanal sitzen ist auch total schön.

Der Brunch bietet eine große Auswahl an schön angerichteten und leckeren kalten und warmen Speisen. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es ein großes Angebot. Gut gefallen hat uns auch die sehr gute Qualität an Nachspeisen, zum Beispiel das mousse au chocolat und Panacotta. Dieses Restaurant ist, auch aufgrund seiner schönen Umgebung direkt am Kanal, unbedingt empfehlenswert! Wir waren hier nicht zum ersten und auch nicht zum letzten Mal! A beautiful place for any event! Whether it is a birthday, anniversary or corporate party. The location right on the canal allows you to enjoy the sun, but you are fully protected in case it rains. Jan and his team will help you make the party the way you want it. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Das Hansekai ist immer wieder eine kleine Reise wert, weil es bewährte Qualität und freundlichen Service zu fairen Preisen bietet. Besonders gerne mit Gästen und Freunden kehren wir hier ein, um die entspannte Gastfreundschaft zu genießen. Hier findet jeder etwas.

Schöne Lage, aber Personal leider desinteressiert. Der Service könnte schneller sein. Haben zu lange auf Getränke u Rechnung warten müssen.

Personal super drauf :-) Das Essen (wir waren zu viert) kam leider nicht gleichzeitig (einer musste ne ganze Zeit warten ... Ein Essen war extrem mit Pfeffer gewürzt - hiervon war nichts in der Speisekarte vermerkt (sollte eine Dill-Sauce sein...). Ansonsten alles okay- gehobene Preise - wir sind zu viert mit Vorspeise bei 200,- Euro gelandet, also kein Schnapper...

Anlässlich einer Familienfeier haben wir von allen Anwesenden nur Anerkennung über die Auswahl dieses Lokals erhalten. Das Ambiente, die Zubereitung und die Auswahl der Speisen waren hervorragend. Lob von Erwachsenen und von den anwesenden Kindern. Aber nicht nur die Speisen, sondern auch das ausgesprochen nette und zugewandte Personal wurde sehr positiv erwähnt. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Wir waren mit der Famile zum Brunch hier. Pro : - sehr nettes und gutes Personal - besondere Location am Wasser - viel Platz Kontra: - Brunch Preis/Leistung überhaupt nicht in Ordnung. Für 40 € wird leider nur Standard aufgetischt. Für 40 € erwarte ich besondere Dinge wie Salate; Aufschnitt et. Dies gab es alles aber es war leider wirklich wie von der Metro. Für 20 € wäre das vollkommen ok. Da wir extra für den Brunch hier waren kann ich nur 3 Punkte geben, obwohl das Personal wirklich super nett war. Sorry

Die Auswahl der Speisen ist sehr reichhaltig, alles frisch und sehr lecker zubereitet! Es wird immer sehr schnell aufgefüllt und nachgelegt, so dass immer alle Speisen reichlich vorhanden sind ! Das Kleinkind war 2 Jahre alt und konnte kostenlos mitessen! Wir waren alle rundum zufrieden und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

We had a quite quick dinner before going to a concert. When we arrived we thought the address might be wrong as the restaurant is located in the mid of industrial area. But location is great Especially during summer time it must be very nice spot to sit outside next to small canal. In November there is possibility to sit inside or in a kind of Winter-garden. This is a heated area with cosy interiors and some kind of fire-spots. We liked the atmosphere very much. You can order the food digitally and the service is very helpful. We had noodles, burgers and Schnitzel. The taste was good but nothing special. For the burgers you need to order side dishes as fries, salat, mayo etc extra. They also have lot of cocktails which we did not try and beer from first bio-brewery next door. All in all we can recommend to go here.

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant. Gute Karte. Schnell und lecker. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns schon auf den Sommer, wenn man mal am Wasser sitzen und ein Bierchen trinken kann.

"Hansekai" ist unsere Lieblingslokation. Es ist immer Genuss, Entspannung und Vergnügen vereint. Das Essen ist ausgewählt und spitze (egal, was man bestellt), der Service super, Ambiente klasse.

Anlässlich des 18. Geburtstags meiner Tochter haben wir uns zu einer kleinen Überraschungsrunde zusammengefunden. Die Organisation und der Abend verliefen ausgesprochen gut und alle Anwesenden waren sehr zufrieden. Das Personal war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man hatte nie den Eindruck, dass man störte und die Qualität des Essens war sehr gut. Die Möglichkeit die Getränke und das Essen per App zu bestellen, waren eine Neuerung und kamen selbst bei den älteren Teilnehmern gut an. Einzig, dass alle die Rechnung einsehen könnte, obwohl alle von mir eingeladen wurden, fand ich etwas unglücklich.
