Hansekai in Hamburg

The Hansekai is a very nice location with great flair! Whether weddings or company events, we have been a DJ at many events and have only received positive feedback. The Hansekai is not only a great location but also offers very tasty food and very tasty drinks. Professionalism and reliability are also very important to the entire Hansekai team. We can recommend the Hansekai to everyone!

We've been back for brunch three years ago to celebrate a birthday. It's nice that there is parking in front of the door. The quality of the offer, the service and the friendliness: everything is top. The generous amount of space is ideal for small children who are not perceived as a nuisance at the other tables.

Super beautiful and romantic location. Both inside and outside. Sitting outside is possible even in bad weather thanks to heaters and a roof. Very attentive and motivated staff. Price-performance ratio completely appropriate. A vegetarian, homemade alternative is possible for every burger. The Mojito was highly recommended despite its limited content.

The Sunday/Advent brunch is really recommended. We were welcomed very nicely and everything else about the process was explained to us. There was a large selection of sausages, cheeses, vegan and vegetarian spreads. Bread rolls, salads and much more. There was also a special station for egg dishes, fresh with ingredients of your choice. Scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelets and also pancakes. The warm dishes such as truffle pasta, roast beef with red cabbage and vegetarian dishes were available until 2 p.m. Coffee, juice, water today even Prosecco. The dessert selection also left nothing to be desired. The Easter brunch was also very, very tasty

We went to Hansekai for brunch on Easter Monday. The restaurant is somewhat hidden in the residential-commercial area. After the friendly introduction by the "boss" (there is one for everyone 😉), we went to the very rich buffet: cold, warm (six changing variations), sweet, salty, various starters, a very rich breakfast buffet - everything was very, very tasty and fresh. Scrambled eggs and omelettes (also pancakes around 11.30 a.m.) are prepared in the dining room. Tea, coffee, water and homemade lemonade are part of the brunch buffet. Coffee specialties and soft drinks cost extra. Even two hours after opening, there were no gaps in the buffet, as it was constantly being refilled and replenished. The service staff are nice and quickly clear away the used plates, cups and glasses. There is a small point of criticism at this point: There are no containers on the tables for the butter paper and the used tea bags. Bowls for the very tasty jam would also be nice. Otherwise it will flow into the other dishes on the large breakfast plates. Conclusion: The visit is definitely worth it, even with (small) children. Outside the holidays, brunch costs less than during our Easter visit. We'd love to come back.

It's not that easy to find because you wouldn't expect the place there. And because it's the last shop in the direction of the canal. The restaurant was a chance discovery. We were actually just looking for a fast food restaurant. But we were convinced and gave the restaurant as much time as it deserved. Conditions were super nice and friendly and always helped us. The restaurant is small but very nicely designed and has a great, quiet atmosphere. Overall, we were very satisfied and we will keep the restaurant on our radar for our next visits to Hamburg. Keep up the great work.

Small but nice. The food is good, but not necessarily special. What was special, however, were the combination options for the burgers. Big praise for that. We will definitely stop by again in the summer.

Location special. Service warm but slightly inattentive. Angus burger dry and not seasoned, the bread comes in bags, cocktail too sour. With food and drinks costing over €100.00 for two people, we expect more.

Super tasty bread, a fairly large selection of cold cuts, side dishes and a few warm dishes - all in all a very nice brunch. The staff here is very attentive and friendly.

It was our first time at the Hansekai and we were actually very satisfied. We had a bit of trouble finding the location because it was very poorly signposted. The food and service are great. Very friendly and accommodating!!! The only negative point was that it was very cold. We sat directly against the tent wall and would have been happy to have a blanket over our legs. 😉

We have now been to the Advent brunch twice in a row. Service was very nice, food was delicious and there was a lot of choice. Only the temperature in the tent is not yet set correctly, the first time we were almost grilled under a radiator, the last time it was freezing cold outside and unfortunately also in the tent from below, so the mushrooms couldn't survive.

We enjoyed it very much, the ambience and service were also great. We would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the water.

I love Hansekai's burgers. We ate there for the first time (instead of having the food delivered) and were positively impressed. We were only disappointed with the salad: it was mainly a leafy salad and boring (hence one star less). This could be significantly and easily improved.

Discovered it by chance a few days ago and tried it out over the weekend. The food was good and the service was really great. We're excited to see what it looks like there in the summer when everything is open. We will come back👍

Actually I should give -3. If I had been there, I would have sent the food back. We ordered menus to take home. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. You could see from the fries that they had been in transit for such a long time. They were a pile of cardboard stuck together. Very cold and limp. One of the burgers was good and the other wasn't. Okay, tastes are different. But here it was the quality that wasn't right. Well then we had the cheesecake, it was just disgusting and the price they charged for it was just outrageous. It is clear to us that we will never order there again! It may be that it is better locally, but if the quality cannot be maintained during delivery, then you should not offer it.

We were here with a large group for the Advent brunch for the third year in a row and are extremely satisfied. The buffet is available in sufficient quantities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and looks attractive and appetizing. The selection of different dishes is excellent. Omelettes and pancakes are also offered in live cooking. Coffee, tea, water and juice are available at any time included in the price. The service is always approachable, friendly and very helpful. Together with a large group of fellow colleagues, we took lunch at this location 4 times in the time period of a week. Absolutely, nobody had nothing to complain about. Food was really diverse and tasty. Service and atmosphere were really on the highest level. Highly recommend this establishment if you are in this particular area. I consider it like an oasis in the middle of this particular area, which is considered industrial.

We celebrated my birthday today with a lovely brunch at the Hansekai. It was really very nice. The food is excellent, everything is freshly prepared. The egg dishes are prepared to order at a separate station. The staff is very attentive and really friendly. The atmosphere is nice and modern. We felt really comfortable and had a lovely birthday party with the family. We will definitely come back, the journey is worth it.

Wir waren zum Brunch eingeladen. Die Lage ist schon mal nicht schön. Der Service war freundlich und das war’s. Das Essen war einfach nicht gut, Dessert aus der Tüte, die warmen Gerichte verkocht und einfach geschmacklich nicht lecker. Es wird in den 4 Stunden nichts nachgelegt. Das reine Frühstück, also Aufschnitt, Käse, Brötchen war gut-wem das reicht ist gut aufgehoben.

The burgers from Hansekai (Go! - delivered) are simply an absolute dream! I haven't had a burger from there that I didn't really like!

The toilet smelled like someone had defecated. The food was great but it took a long time for the food to arrive. The homemade lemonade tasted great and the service was good. The toilets were beautiful. The waiters strolled over to us confidently and with a lot of aura.

Inconspicuous from the outside, even more beautiful from the inside. Very cozy, beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food and drinks. And not to forget: unique, courteous service!! Definitely worth a visit 😊

Actually 5*, very tasty burgers, also delivered. However, there is a blatant scam: When you order, fries cost €4, but you MUST choose a dip that costs an extra €1. Then make fries for €5 and the dip for free. Such a "hidden" price is absolutely ridiculous and this great restaurant actually doesn't need it. Too bad.

The location is perfect for this celebration as it is simply well thought out with the modern bar inside and the elegant outdoor area. Really outstanding service and super delicious food. The absolute dream location for our dream wedding! From the initial consultation, through the planning phases to the big day: we felt in great hands at all times and the professionalism of Jan and his team carried through to all aspects that are important for such a special day. Jan's friendly, humorous and uncomplicated manner, complemented by the professional service and the outstandingly good food, rounded everything off. We were able to contact us at any time with any questions and every problem could be resolved quickly. On such an important day, as a bride and groom you are undoubtedly dependent on reliability and everything went smoothly here and we were able to just sit back and enjoy the day. Our guests praised the location, the atmosphere, (especially) the food and the cool demeanor of the team days after the wedding and we also had absolutely nothing to complain about. The drinks were also skillfully prepared and very good. We would choose the Hansekai again and again!

If you don't know it, you almost can't find it. And yet our visit was totally worth it. Very tasty food was served, the frequently changing menu offers something for every taste and the seat right by the water is a bonus. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the prices are a little higher, but they more than do justice to the high quality. The highlight is the cooperation with the neighboring organic brewery. We would love to come back!

The contact was great from the first second - we were able to contact the owners at any time with any question and quickly received solutions and answers. The food (we had the live grill buffet) was great & the Southside was an absolute hit all evening long. We were looked after very well, the staff were really lovely and we would celebrate our wedding at the Hansekai again at any time. Thank you for everything!

Big compliments to the Hansekai team, everyone was incredibly friendly, courteous and in a good mood. That made our day. The food was incredibly delicious. The drinks on point. Can only recommend their weekend brunch for great variety of dishes and good quality of food. We liked that place so much that we organised our wedding at Hansekai. Absolutely no regrets - great experience from the first meeting with the owner to the wedding day itself. They provide a lot of flexibility and they make sure to make your special day as much relaxed and stress free as possible. The location itself is beautiful with the modern industrial architecture and the pier that can be reached by boat (Barkasse). Delicious breakfast/brunch. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. Many options. Hot and cold. Also for those with a savory or sweet tooth. There was even vegetarian currywurst. It was a very nice Sunday.

Location sehr speziell an die Architektur des Hansekais angepasst, also weit oben postindustriell mit oxidiertem Metall überdacht und unten noch einmal mit einer Markise, aber insgesamt sehr luftig und frisch an kühlen Sommertagen. Wenn es eine tropische Nacht ist: super. In den Zwischentemperaturen trotz Wärmestrahler und Leihdecken frisch. Im Winter nur drinnen, wo nur wenige Plätze sind. Essen einwandfrei, könnte vielleicht kräftiger gewürzt sein. Service sehr gut und zukunftsweisend, da man alle Bestellungen per App erledigen kann, sogar zahlen, was lästige Wartezeiten erspart. Großes Plus ist die Möglichkeit über den Wasserweg anzulegen, also per gemieteten Boot für ein Event oder privat mit Kanu oder SUP.

We were there for Sunday brunch. Pleasant ambience, view not that sensational, atmosphere is not too loud as the rooms are not too big. Service was very nice and courteous, almost too attentive. The brunch buffet was excellent. The fresh rustic bread and the grilled vegetables were great. The selection of cold, warm, veggie and normal dishes was very, very good. There are a lot of things I've never seen at a brunch buffet before. Scampis in garlic e.g. B. The sautéed mushrooms with pine nuts were also great. Egg dishes are prepared as desired and in show cooking, and later pancakes too. All in all top quality. So not cheap, but absolutely worth the money. Gladly again.

Seldom eaten so badly: Mexican burgers with fries that were totally over salted and the burger wasn't seasoned at all. The "homemade" guacamole was a hint of hard avocado with red onion snippets. The beef patty then costs another €3 for the regular burger price of €16, € extra, fries €4. Why??? This burger isn't worth 20. Didn't eat despite being hungry. The only positive thing about the shop is the friendly staff and service, who asked if my half-eaten burger and fries were tasty. He wanted to pass on my honest answer to the kitchen. Too bad about the money

We first visited the restaurant at Hansekai and decided to celebrate our wedding in the beautiful location. The wedding was fantastic and the service and food were just great. All guests loved the steak. Better than any steakhouse…

The burgers were very tasty and freshly prepared. The chocolate mousse is also highly recommended for dessert.

There were four of us there and unfortunately our overall visit was disappointing. The meal took a very long time and the salad was a big disappointment: it was missing bread, corn, mushrooms and the mixed seeds. After our complaint, a small spoonful of corn and a mushroom were added, but that wasn't enough. There was also a separate dressing on our order, but it was not delivered. As an apology we were told that the trainee made the salad, but for us that didn't justify the poor quality. The burgers were okay, and the shrimp pasta was tasty, but the portion was small. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice, which made the evening a little more pleasant. In the end we got a discount on the salad after our complaint. Overall it was still not a satisfactory experience and we hope that the service and quality of the food improve in the future.

We celebrated our wedding at Hansekai last weekend and couldn't have made a better choice. Everything went smoothly, from the first planning meeting to picking up the decorations the day after. Jan was available at any time and implemented our wishes perfectly with his team. The food at the wedding was highly praised by all guests several times, as was the fantastic location and the incredibly friendly and courteous staff. Absolute recommendation for celebrations of all kinds, but also for day-to-day business. We've had brunch, lunch and taken burgers home at the Hansekai - everything was delicious. We celebrated our wedding at the Hansekai in May 2024, including a free wedding ceremony by the water, dinner and party 🥳 Not only did we have a wonderful day, all of our guests also raved about the atmosphere and the food! Sunset photos on the roof terrace turned out fantastic and the location on the water gave us a real Hamburg feeling! We accepted many suggestions from the Hansekai and left the decoration and music to the recommended and tried and tested service providers - that was a great decision, everything went smoothly and hand in hand. I was just recently there for a wedding and it was absolutely amazing! It was so beautifully decorated and the food was amazing. From what I understand they have the whole package for the wedding, so they take care of everything for you. My friend, the bride, was so happy with the service in general so I definitely would recommend it! The food was amazing, so if you’re planing to have a meal there it will be for sure great!
