I ate here this afternoon with a colleague to use up her voucher booklet. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed by the food (some of the salad bowl didn't seem fresh anymore, and I still have a persistent stomach ache afterward) and the service (very slow and not particularly friendly). And the prices are really outrageous. The booklet advertised 2 cocktails for the price of 1 and 2 dishes for the price of 1, so we did it. In the end, we had to pay €34.50 (!) for one drink and one dish! A very expensive lunch... We had to go inside to pay because the waitress didn't ask us.

Very disappointed. Today my family and I ordered twice from Lieferando. The first time we received a completely different order. Then I ordered again because my son wanted a burger and half of it was missing. I can't recommend it to anyone. Very poor organization!

Very disappointing – never again! We ordered a delivery for our doctor's office and have now been waiting for over two hours. After several calls, we were repeatedly told something different – ​​from "the driver will be here soon" to "there was a problem, he'll be right there." In the end, it turns out that the driver simply left without our order. Instead of offering a solution, we were told on the phone that we could pick up the food ourselves. That's completely unprofessional – especially when delivering to a doctor's office, you should be able to expect reliability. This was the last time for us. This is not how you treat customers.

Very friendly and fast service. We really enjoyed the burgers, and the interior is very cozy, albeit a little dark 🤗🤭 You can also save a meal with the Schlemmerblock (snack block).

I was really looking forward to this evening, as I used to really enjoy eating at Hans im Glück – but this time it was a disappointment. The burgers had lost their special flavor and were unfortunately rather bland. For the rather high prices, I would have expected much more. The service was friendly, even though we sometimes had to wait a long time. The ambiance itself is okay, but we were seated in a very dark booth where the music was extremely loud – it was more uncomfortable than comfortable. It's a shame, I was expecting more. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it at this time.

First of all my biggest respect to all the staff who’s working there! I’ve been here on many occasions since I moved to Ulm. With friends, alone, with colleagues. Cause the food & drinks are nice, a huge variety and just a cool place to hang out. So due to my multiple visists I think I’m qualified to give a proper review. It’s sad to me to see so many bad reviews and some that are just out of the mind of some people which makes sense cause I’ve seen how the staff is being treated by customers and it’s honestly just ridiculous. I actually wonder every single day how you can get up, go to a restaurant and behave so bad to someone who’s just doing their job, who’s just trying to get money to live and survive. It boggles my mind. And to the people who don’t give tip after the bartender made your drinks, after the kitchen made you fresh food and after the server is running to your table several times, making sure that everything is alright, explaining, switching orders, that there is no wish left to be fulfilled - You. Should. Be. Ashamed. Of. Yourself. No one would do this job if there wasn’t a tip! Do you actually think this is a well paid job for this hard labour they do every single day ? You go ahead and try one shift with them, walking with 4 plates on your arm or 10 drinks on a plate, in 30 Degrees, running from the front to back, looking after everybody, getting treated badly, having multiple screaming kids in your ear, telephone ringing, dirty stuff you have to clean & & &. And then, think about how you as a person can make this a better situation. how you can be polite, friendly, helpful, a decent human being. And yes it can be very very crowded on the weekends but if you walk into a place that is FULL and you see everyone running around, ask yourself if you have patience or at least common sense that you will not get your food 5min after ordering ☺️ So thhank you to the staff from hans im Glück. I see your hard work and I see you smiling through it all. You are making this a great place and I love coming here. And the food is fantastic ! I don’t know why the comments are bad about that as well. Where else can you make your own perfect burger and have so many cool drinks ? I wholeheartedly believe German people like to nag and talk bad more than anything else

Today, unfortunately, was very disappointing. The place wasn't even half full, but the staff was completely overwhelmed. We waited over an hour for our food. All other guests were turned away at the door.

Even one star is too many. We've never experienced such bad service. We arrived at 5:30 p.m., and they didn't come to take our order until 6:15 p.m., despite politely notifying us several times. The first burger arrived at 7:00 p.m., followed by the rest at 7:15 p.m. The fries were ice-cold, the meat wasn't even warm enough, and the burger buns were rock hard. There wasn't even an apology for the long wait. We'll never come here again. It's worth mentioning that only 12 tables were occupied. All other guests were turned away. Impossible!

Cool place, tasty burgers. But the cleaning is clearly suffering because there is dust everywhere, cobwebs in visible places, dirty windows. The service leaves much to be desired.

We went there at 8:55 p.m. The internet said it was open until 11:30 p.m. We went in and asked if there was room for two people and they told us to sit wherever we wanted. We waited until 9:15 p.m., 15 minutes, for someone to serve us. The employees kept walking past us but everyone said a colleague was coming, even though everyone was sitting at the table eating. Then we ordered and at 9:45 p.m. the food still hadn't arrived, even though there was only one table in the restaurant besides us. When we spoke to the waiter, he said he'd look and suddenly came with the food. The sweet potatoes were cold, literally cold, and the burger, i.e. the meat, was the same. We tried to explain this to the waiter but he was angry and said the kitchen was closed and they hadn't turned on the fryer. He took our fries with him and 5 minutes later when he brought them back the plate was hot but the fries were still cold and burnt. The burgers smelled of fish and were very unappealing. We left everything and left. Two burgers with fries and a small soda were €40 too much for the standard fare. Better to go to Burgermy, it's much better and fresher.

After 20 minutes we were finally able to order and then the waiting continued. Half an hour passed and then we asked where our food was because there was only one table there besides us. The waiter went to check and came back with the food. The sweet potato was cold, literally cold. The burgers smelled of fish! We politely said that the fries were cold and that you couldn't eat them like that. He got angry and took them with him and when he brought them back the plate was hot but the fries were burnt and cold. We left the food, paid and left. €40 for 2 burgers with fries and just a small lemonade - that's too much given the service and hygiene there. I'd rather go to Burgermy. I wouldn't recommend this food to anyone.

Die märchenhafte Atmosphäre mit Birkenstämmen und gemütlichen Sitzecken ist einzigartig und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Burger waren super lecker (auch vegetarisch & vegan!) und die Cocktails ein echter Geheimtipp. Perfekt für eine kleine Auszeit nach dem Sightseeing. Direkt in der Innenstadt gelegen – absolut empfehlenswert!

I've also decided to get something off my chest here. First, I'd like to thank all the employees who worked yesterday! Hats off to your efforts! There was a big event taking place in the city, which made it extremely busy. It was also very hot, which of course made working conditions even more difficult. What shocked me, however, were the customers coming and going. Since I had a seat near the entrance, I saw quite a bit. Rude guests who clearly saw that the store was full, that the employees were completely overwhelmed – not because they couldn't do their jobs, but because they were simply overworked. I was told – as well as many other guests – that the team is currently severely understaffed due to illness. At first, many guests were understanding – but that quickly changed. There were loud complaints, annoyed groans, and some even disrespectful behavior. The despair was written all over some of the employees' faces. Honestly, I personally would probably have packed my things and left in that situation. At some point, we ran out of fries – annoying, yes. But things like that can happen. But instead of showing understanding, the waiters were also harshly attacked – verbally and in a tone that was simply embarrassing. What can they possibly do about it? My conclusion: Next time you go to a restaurant, please remember that people work there. People who are doing their best – despite being overworked, despite the heat, despite rude guests. And if you can't muster any patience or understanding, please just stay home. Get something from the bakery if waiting is so difficult for you. But please don't take your bad mood out on people who can't help it. Just because some people seem to be unhappy with their own lives! People work here. You can talk to them – there's no need to insult them. No wonder more and more restaurants are experiencing staff shortages. Nobody wants to do this job anymore! The food is, of course, great too!

Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the fries were cold. After clearing the table, we were immediately asked if we wanted to pay. We were very surprised, as there were no reasons given, such as a shift change or the staff finishing work.

I was pretty disappointed when I recently ate at your place with a good friend. Since I've been to a good burger restaurant several times, like Pitsburger, I naturally had a world of comparison. We weren't greeted when we walked in and sat down, nor were we asked if we wanted the menu, let alone if we wanted to order something. They just gave us an unwelcome stare, as if they were trying to tell us what we wanted. The meal was prepared quite quickly, which was probably the reason for this unloving, meager thing that was supposed to be a burger and then tasted bland. Guys, not even the bun was crispy or toasted. The sour cream sauce I had asked for wasn't there. The employee, in his mid-to-late 20s with bald head, had to be nudged three times because we had actually asked for a cell phone charger, which he kept forgetting because he was literally standing around, his mind elsewhere. He's truly a dreamer. Even when I politely shared my criticism with him at the end, he didn't get much of a response. And since I left hungry after spending almost 28 euros, I can't say I recommend you.

Ich war ziemlich enttäuscht, als ich neulich bei euch mit nem guten Freund essen war. Da ich schon öfters in nem guten Burger Restaurant war zb. Pitsburger, hatte ich natürlich Vergleichsmöglichkeiten die Welten auseinaner lagen. Wird wurden beim reinkommen und hinsitzen weder begrüßt, noch wurden wir gefragt ob wir die Karte wollen geschweige denn etwas bestellen wollen. Man hat uns nur unwillkommen angeglotzt als wollte man uns mitteilen, was wollt ihr denn hier. Das Menü war zwar recht schnell gemacht, war wahrscheinlich auch der Grund für dieses lieblose, mikrige Ding das nen Burger darstellen sollte und dann auch noch lasch geschmeckt hat. Leute, nicht mal das Brötchen war irgendwie n bisschen kross oder getoastet. Die Sour Cream Soße worum ich gebeten hatte war nicht dabei. Der Angestellte, Mitte/ Ende 20, kahle Haare, musste 3 x angeschubst werden, da wir eigentlich auch nach einem Handyladekabel werden, da wir eigentlich auch nach einem Handyladekabel gefragt hatten, was er auch ständig vergessen hatte, da er wirklich rumstand und mit seinen Gedanken sonstwo war. Also wirklich n Träumer. Selbst als ich ihm am Ende höflich meine Kritik mitgeteilt habe, kam nicht viel zurück. Und da ich für fast 28 Euro, hungrig gegangen bin kann ich leider nicht sagen, dass ich euch empfehle.

We had Smash Burgers, Hab's im Glück, and Loaded Fries with non-alcoholic cocktails. The food was truly excellent. Orders can also be placed directly at the table via QR code. This also allows you to view the current bill status for the table. The ambiance is very pleasant, as is the case with all branches. We recommend reserving a table on weekends.

It wasn't busy, but we still waited 50 minutes for the food. The loaded fries weren't hot anymore, and for €7.90 a portion, there weren't enough fries. The food for four people wasn't served together. The last meal was served 15 minutes after the first. Advertisements everywhere that they now have gluten-free buns, but unfortunately, they've long since sold out. Service was slow, clumsy, overwhelmed, and not well-informed. Price/performance ratio not adequate.

Als wir Abends extra nach Ulm gefahren sind wurde uns bei unserer Bestellung gesagt es gibt schon seit 2 Wochen keine glutenfreien Brötchen mehr (also nichts was spontan ausgegangen ist). Das war sehr enttäuschend nicht nur weil dadurch gewissermaßen der Muttertag versaut wurde sondern auch weil die glutenfreien Brötchen mit einem Aufsteller noch aktiv beworben wurde. Wenn man es extra noch die die Reservierungsanfrage schreibt und dann jemand mit Zöliakie als Alternative geraten wird einfach ein Brötchen mit Gluten zu nehmen ist das nur noch absolut unprofessionell

When we drove to Ulm in the evening we were told when we ordered that there had been no gluten-free rolls for two weeks (so nothing that ran out spontaneously). If you write it down in the reservation request and then advise someone with celiac disease to simply take a roll with gluten as an alternative, that's just absolutely unprofessional

As always there (and also in other cities) we recommend it without reservation for fans of the cultivated Hamburg culture.

Delivery via Lieferando: We ordered this evening. Instead of 36 minutes, we had to wait almost 2 hours. Not even half the order arrived and the rest of the food was cold. If there is too much going on, deliveries stop. This was the second experience of this kind. Not again...

Very disappointing! We ordered via Lieferando. First of all we had to wait 2 hours for the food (the delivery time was getting later and later) until it finally arrived lukewarm (after I called). Unfortunately the burger didn't taste as usual. (The meat was watery and not completely cooked through). Furthermore, the orange mustard sauce that I paid for was missing. No response from Hans im Glück to my email...

The food was delicious as usual, but I found the prices to be too high compared to often better quality restaurants with the same price. In my opinion, the cocktails on offer only partially have something to do with cocktails. For example, a cocktail that was ordered consisted of a drink already filled in a glass, which was completed by pouring one's own ginger ale at the table. I found the service on the evening of the visit to be poor. I attribute this to the fact that the food and drink menu was brought out for the first time after 35 minutes and that the staff never had an eye on the table, which meant that you had to wait a long time for the food order, further drink orders or the request for the bill.

Top restaurant for burgers. The portions were also completely sufficient with side dishes. We also had a voucher block with us. Simply let us know when ordering. All in all a recommendation.

We drove an extra 60km because of the voucher book, which we couldn't use because we didn't say so straight away and we've never had any problems. Food was OK but very little for the money. Smash Burger wasn't really a Smash Burger. Just thin meat patties. Service was slow and sometimes people were left sitting for 30 minutes while eating with empty drinks. Had reserved a table, everything was very narrow and incredibly uncomfortable wooden trunks without cushions.

We like it here. The new menu still has great vegan options (better than before), the drinks are delicious and unusual as well as the atmosphere. Unfortunately I have to say, nothing special these days. Very average food - everyone had burgers (6 people). However, there is also little space in the city center, which is quite normal there.

Mehhh. Walked in and was told to choose our table, walked to the back, and sat down in an area already closed for service... we moved to another section and waited. We walked in at 9:00 pm. on a saturday and tried to order smash burgers, but we're told they had no more meat for them. I ordered a regular cheese burger instead and avacado fries. Burger was overcooked, and the flavor was odd and didn't taste like beef but had strong flavoring of other spices. Fries were loaded with dill and washed out any other flavors. I would say that you are mainly paying for ambiance and location and not so much for burgers here. Music was loud and repetitive, I felt like I was in a dance club instead of a restaurant, we had difficulty carrying on a conversation because of the noise. Price was fair. My wife and I paid around $45 for two burgers and fries and one water. To be honest, the entire experience was rather forgetful. The staff was nice but sadly the food was below average.

Very nice staff, fast service. Perfect for the gesture with a wheelchair. Employees immediately recommended a table for us. Toilet for the disabled is on the same level. For the other guests you have to go downstairs but it is also very clean!

We actually liked going to Hans in Glück. Unfortunately, that has changed over time. The food is constantly changing (e.g. the types of fries or the bread is changed regularly) so you don't always get what you are used to. Sometimes better, sometimes worse. When you're ready and want to pay, you should allow an hour, because despite remembering that you would like to pay, you had to wait over 20 minutes. It's a shame because the atmosphere is actually nice.

The burger was pretty cold, and the meat was way too compact, lacking both juiciness and flavor. The fries were dry, and the homemade lemonade was overly sweet. On the bright side, the presentation was lovely, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. I just wish they’d focus more on the most important part: the food.

The Hans im Glück has a very pleasant atmosphere - but the restaurant is quite crowded and the seats are a bit tight. But it was still quite comfortable. The smash burger was good, but it still lacked some of the grill flavor. The fries were fresh and there were also sweet potato fries with homemade dips (available on the table). However, the presentation of the food was a bit sparse - see pictures. In general, the non-alcoholic drinks should be highlighted. It was also great to be able to access your bill using a QR code and then pay it directly using Apple Pay. Here you also had the opportunity to place further orders - very innovative. On our next visit to Ulm I can imagine stopping by Hans im Glück again.

The Cocktails for almost €11 should deliver something better, I don't recommend them. It is a restaurant mainly serving burgers. It is warm, cozy, decorated all in wood like a forest house. It's lovely. The burgers we ordered were good. They have a variety of drinks. They also have their own sauces that are good. The service was a little slow, considering it wasn't that busy. An observation regarding the service: some tables have seats shared between 2 tables, in which one has his back to another person from another table. Those seats are not very big. In our case, they offered us to sit at a table that had one of these seats and there was already a person sitting at the other table. The space left was small. We discreetly asked to move tables because it looked uncomfortable. But to our surprise they told us that that position was the assigned place and they could not change us. There were many unoccupied tables. Despite this, we made the decision to stay. And yes, it was not pleasant to sit in that shared seat 🙄

Update: We kept our word and gave them a second chance. This time we were there during the week and it wasn't busy. Maybe because there wasn't much going on, the food was better, fresher and hotter. Only the service could perhaps have come more often because of the drinks. Otherwise, the current offer, a double smash burger, was absolutely brilliant - it MUST be included in the program 😍 I increased the star for the food, but I left the ambience and service at two stars. Overall recommended with a tendency towards 4 stars and more. —————————- It was our first attempt at this chain and we got a lot of recommendations (but these came from other cities, so I can only give the rating for Ulm). The reservation and seat allocation went quite well, something like that doesn't always work. The selection, ordering and delivery of food and drinks was surprisingly quick! Regarding my dish, there were three of us there, I can only say that it was nothing more than okay - my burger was only lukewarm, the pattie was a bit dry and the hash browns in the burger tasted “old”. My colleagues complained about cocktails because there seemed to be ZERO alcohol in them - after improvements, they were passable. After dinner, we had to get our train, we needed four announcements that we could finally pay in order to leave the restaurant (in the end we were a little more energetic about our desire to pay). The ambience was also ok, although many of the tables next to us were free but not tidied up. We will give the restaurant a second chance in January 2025 when we are back on site. According to our current assessment, we only give an average of three stars (which is not wrong in principle). However, I can't give a clear recommendation from the overall rating at the moment and I expected more. See you in January and then I'll give my final resume

Very tasty, the food came quickly. I like the ambience and the furnishings, but it is a bit cramped and not really suitable for groups (about 10 people or more) as there are only small tables and you then sit too far apart.

Nice staff, unfortunately the burger was cold. The sauce for the fries was forgotten. Therefore a deduction in points.

Good place to eat some hamburgers, I was pleasantly surprised, very good as were their fries and variety of sauces. I liked the correct service and the decoration of the place. Price quality ok.

Today we were at Hans im Glück for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious, it's great that there is also a children's menu for kids, our 5 year old son was very happy about it. Price/performance is definitely right here. The only drawback is that the table next to the entrance on the left side of the window pulls a lot when the door opens and closes. The back wall is therefore also very cold when sitting. The stools/benches aren't that comfortable, there's just not something to lean on. The seating is also pretty tight and you don't really have any privacy, which is something you have to like. The women's toilets could be a little cleaner. Our waitress was very friendly and on the ball, she even suggested that a menu that we had put together would be more worthwhile and would be cheaper. We were with the Schlemmerblock there and were able to save 2 for 1 (main courses). The burgers, fries and the house sauces that were served on the table were particularly tasty. The refreshing drink was absolutely delicious (dragon fruit/guava/lime). Really recommended and we'll be back, but next time in a cozy place :-)!

Unfortunately, at 8 p.m. there were no more normal fries, only sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, service wasn't very attentive either. The table was not cleaned and the bench was stained

My biggest problem was the waiters. They are inaccurate, careless and do not show due respect. Older people are also buried. When we ordered they forgot to bring it out but played on the phone. They were completely flippant and disrespectful. The standard drops dramatically when the new generation receives such education.

We spontaneously decided to go to a restaurant to eat a burger. We found a place without a reservation without any problem. The selection of burgers is large, but we found them a bit dry overall. This is also because the ingredients are saved. We ordered a cheeseburger with bacon, which was only topped with a strip of bacon - a bit too little for the size of the burger. In addition, sitting on the hard benches in the restaurant for long periods of time is rather uncomfortable. Otherwise the ambience with the incorporated birch trees is very nice.

Unfortunately my visit this time was very disappointing. The burger was dry and carelessly prepared, the meat tasted bland and there was hardly any sauce. There was also extremely slow service - for fast food that was really disappointing. Given the prices, I would have expected at least the usual McDonald's quality, but unfortunately that wasn't the case here. It's a shame, I was hoping for a lot more.

Pretty restaurant with a birch forest look. Very friendly service. The food itself is a typical burger joint with convenience food. Rich selection, also vegan.
