Damn Burger in Ulm

Incredibly good burgers, great service, friendly, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

The ambiance was great, the taste was good, but the portion size of the small fries for €5.20 is outrageous, and the halloumi burger for €11 was tiny.

Even allergy sufferers were catered for. Great service. Delicious food.

Recently, an elderly woman started working in the shop, preparing the burgers. She seems very bitter because of her own life experiences. She's incredibly unfriendly and bitter when a customer places an order just five minutes after the shop has opened! The order is then relayed, and she can't prepare it properly! Then she becomes rude to the customer! No one can help her bitterness!

I was absolutely thrilled with Damn Burger; the burgers are simply amazing! Fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The bun was nice and fluffy, the meat was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were truly delicious. You can tell they put a lot of love into their work. The staff was also super friendly, and the service was fast. Highly recommended; one of the best burger joints around!

The burgers are really tasty, but quite expensive. The buns were super fluffy and seemed homemade. The side fries were sometimes quite greasy/oily. The location is impressive.

In my opinion, DamnBurger is unfortunately not recommended. Over the past three years, I've given the restaurant a chance several times, but each time I've had the same experience: The burgers taste like almost nothing to me. The only reason I returned was the truly appealing ambiance and the friendliness of the staff – both of which are undoubtedly positive. However, the burgers don't taste as good as promised. I'm also particularly critical of the price: around €26 for a double cheeseburger meal is unjustified given the quality of the meat, cheese, and other ingredients. While they advertise Angus beef, there's no hint of that in the taste. Overall, in my experience, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right.

Visited Ulm on Saturday and fancied a burger. Read several reviews and decided on the burger. 1. Nice graffiti from the outside. 2. Good selection. 3. Not a long wait (normal). In the end, the burgers tasted very good. What's a bit confusing is that if you want a burger plus a side dish plus a drink, it says €1.90. So I thought a burger plus a small side dish and a drink would be €1.90 (meal). That wasn't the case. I'll let you know next time 😂😂😂Otherwise, I'd gladly go back. The guys there were nice and friendly. Overall, I'd recommend it.

A full menu, good prices, and gluten-free options. We opted for the set menu, which saves you €2 on drinks. It consists of 1 burger + 1 portion of fries + 1 drink for only €1.90. All burgers can be gluten-free (€1.90 supplement). We chose the Damn Double Cheese, one regular and one gluten-free. The regular version was good, though nothing special; for my taste, the meat was overcooked, which detracted a bit from its quality. The gluten-free version had a very good bun, but with the same detail: the meat was a bit overcooked. For fries, we ordered the small portion, which was quite large and well worth the price. We also tried the truffled fries, which were good, although more for the cheese than the truffled oil; still, we would order them again. We would definitely go back.

So how the shop can have a 4.5-star rating on Google is really questionable, but here on Google, you can delete reviews. But on the other hand, if you do a little research, the shop mostly has bad reviews on other sites like Tripadvisor (3.8-star rating). I ordered a double cheeseburger. I understand if the meat should be medium, but I don't understand that most of it is raw, which it was and you could taste it. I ordered it without onions, but of course I got onions, which was to be expected. The taste was somewhere between a bit of salt and pepper, no taste at all. I had the sweet potatoes. Well, what can I say, they weren't homemade, they were probably store-bought, and they were bad, too, and mine weren't even crispy, but soggy. And what I also find unhygienic is when you prepare the fries and aren't wearing gloves. Overall, it's way too expensive and I can't recommend it. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. You should know.

Mediocre burger, nice to sit outside

Unfortunately, I can only give one rating. Four years ago, I just saw that I gave it 5 stars. Now, unfortunately, it's less. The food is still a 5/5. We just ordered two burgers and fries at the stand at the OWF. The woman* who just cashed us was incredibly rude. You can also politely explain that vouchers aren't valid at these stands; there's no need to shout at us here (turning the music down would also help, by the way). I didn't feel welcome. Even at a festival, you can be friendly, no matter how stressful it is. In your branch, you manage to be very friendly, even at lunchtime. On the positive side, the person who gave us the food was incredibly friendly. Your food truck is terrible, but your branch is great! :) Competent employees, unfortunately, don't grow on trees. Next time, please conduct one more interview.

Great burgers, great loaded fries (garlic, etc.), wonderfully crispy fries, perfectly cooked patties. Sides like onions, cheese, lettuce, etc. Super fresh and delicious. Great place!

The bread was dry, the meat was way too salty, and the order wasn't taken correctly. So for around €20, you expect more. Extras were also too expensive.

It's a shame – I would have really liked to try the burgers, but that never happened. When we arrived, the place was almost empty (completely empty inside, only one table occupied outside), and yet we were ignored by the staff for over 15 minutes. If it was self-service, a quick reminder upon entry would have been nice. Unfortunately, instead, they even avoided eye contact. Sure, they could have called for service – but that shouldn't be necessary for the first drink order. It's a shame, because I was actually looking forward to the food.

I've eaten there several times. It's a bit more expensive for burgers than usual, but the quality is also a whole different level. My wait was a bit longer, so you should allow plenty of time. It's actually always been good, but today I was there and it was quite busy. When I got my order, the minced meat was still almost raw, especially in the middle. When I asked the staff about it several times (there was only one customer there besides me at the time), I only got a short, curt reply. I actually can't tolerate half-raw meat, and I've never had a problem with the meat before. It was "normal," but it wasn't, because I've been there often enough to know whether it's normal or not. I had the feeling the staff there didn't care. I had to throw the burger away. Then they said something like, "Are you throwing it away just because of the meat?" Yes, the meat is a big part of it. Conclusion: The staff weren't accommodating, hence only 3 stars. Update (next day): My girlfriend threw up that evening. I now have a stomach bug. We both didn't eat anything else that evening...

Great restaurant. The price/performance ratio is really top-notch. The staff is friendly and very helpful when ordering. They give really good advice, so you can save a bit of money when ordering. (Unfortunately, I ate the burger, otherwise I would have uploaded a picture.)

So if you're willing to pay a little more, this is the top place in Ulm for burgers. The patties are excellent and cooked perfectly medium-rare, using organic ground beef. You can customize your burgers and have a wide selection of different toppings. I would generally recommend going for 180g, as it makes the burger even juicier. Side dishes are also good, but I usually only eat salad with burgers. I've tried fries and sweet potatoes at friends' houses a few times, and they're delicious. However, I can only eat about 3 or 4 fries at a time; I need room for burger #2. I've been there maybe 8 times so far, and every time it's been excellent.

This was our first time here. The burgers were absolutely fantastic, both the vegan and meaty ones. The sides were also great, and the dips were fantastic. Self-service, very well organized, and short wait times even when it's busy. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again!

First of all: The burger really tastes delicious - don't let the 3* rating fool you! Now for the sad part... The fries, regular priced at €4.90, are perfectly fine. However, if you order truffle fries, you'll pay €6.90 for fries that taste absolutely nothing like truffles and the portion size isn't exactly amazing. The cheese is barely there... even then, you'd expect more for the extra €2! Too bad! It's best to just order the burger, then you won't go wrong.

Fine citizens. Friendly staff. It is ordering and picking up at the counter. Strange that a tip was already requested at checkout for providing service. We ran out of cups and had to ask for them. There was a strange smell in the restaurant. Decoration is nice. The food was tasty. The small burgers are actually small but tasty. It is possible to order a gluten-free burger. This one was tasty. The toilet was not very clean when we were there.

Great ambience and super tasty burgers! The quality of the ingredients is top, everything is freshly prepared and the taste is simply a culinary delight. The store has a really pleasant atmosphere - you immediately feel at home. Whether it's for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, I'll definitely come back again and again!

The vegan burger was very tasty. The truffle fries are made with truffle oil, so you should order a dip with them, otherwise it tastes too dry. It's strange that more and more restaurants want tips when paying, even though it's purely self-service - you pick up your food and clear everything away yourself.

A touch from my youth... Very cool location in the delicate style of the 80s/90s. The burgers 🍔 were very tasty, as were the side dishes… Round about - highly recommended. The only thing that would have been appropriate was a beer with the meal, the selection of drinks is consistently non-alcoholic 😉

Price-performance ratio doesn't fit. Even though regional ingredients are advertised here, the preparation of the food is quite bland. Sweet potato fries are way too dark, burgers don't taste great either. Unfortunately, there was little interest on site in our critical feedback. Too bad.

I've been ordering here for years since using Uber Eats, it's just catastrophic! Every time the sauces are missing, every time the food takes hours to eat. Given the prices you could really expect better! 20€ for a cold burger with toppings like from the organic waste bin!

First of all, it should be said that this is certainly one of the best burgers in the city of Ulm. Regionality (yes, that costs money) and taste offer an absolute experience here and invite you to come back again. We were absolutely thrilled, also by the ambience, which was very authentically American. Service and friendliness were also highlighted. Only the size of the burgers, measured against the price, was something you couldn't/don't want to afford all the time. Only common sense stopped me from ordering a second burger, as the first three “normal burgers” and three drinks already cost over €50. That was really a lot of money for a midday snack, something you can't or don't want to afford all the time. Nevertheless, this shop is an absolute asset that is second to none.

Food is good, but unfortunately you quickly smell of grease if you sit indoors because the kitchen is in the same room. In summer you can sit outside nicely. Self-service only, no service.

Although Damn Burger offers an appealing selection of burgers, the long waiting times and extremely high prices are a major drawback. You expect quick service, especially given the prices you pay. Unfortunately, you are often disappointed when you have to wait for your food. Overall, the experience could be significantly improved with faster service times and more reasonable prices.

Everything's great... great burgers with sustainable and regional ingredients. I would also like to point out that there is a good opportunity to wash your hands and they even have small guest towels. I don't know that at all and I think it's very good.

I'm referring to the Damn Burger food truck at #Abendglimmen in Böfingen. Waiting time ok, service friendly, but poor value for money. €13 for the Cheese Chili Veggie Burger, which was relatively small, fairly predictable and quite dry. Sorry, I expect a little more for the money.

Really strong burger. Meat is of good quality and the burger tastes very fresh. The staff is friendly and the general vibe fits very well. However, I have to deduct a star because I find the burger sauce a bit strange (somehow reminiscent of a barbecue sauce/shish kebab sauce) and the size of the burger is rather in the lower middle range compared to other shops with similar prices and quality. Still recommended.

I've always really liked the burgers. Damn was actually always my favorite burger shop in Ulm. I am a customer from the very beginning. Was there for several birthdays and even took the team picture. The patties have also become smaller, although the prices have repeatedly increased. I've been a customer since the beginning and used to be there up to 4 times a week. Waiting time is relatively long for self-service. On Saturdays up to 90 minutes. The extra bacon I paid for is always forgotten 50% of the time. A thorough cleaning wouldn't do any harm to the place, unfortunately it has now become really disgusting.
