HANS IM GLÜCK - MÜNCHEN Isarpost in München

After waiting 20 mins nobody came to take our order and we left. I have been in this chain’s different restaurants but do not recommend this one. Atmosphere and food stars given as per my previous experience.

The atmosphere was okay for a burger joint. The benches aren't exactly comfortable, but they're fine for a quick bite. I wouldn't want to sit there for long, though. The service was neutral—not overly friendly, but not too attentive either. The smash burger was tasty; the bun was crispy and not dry, and the meat was standard quality, but it tasted quite good. The cheesecake was a bit firm, but otherwise very tasty. The coffee was okay, a little bitter. All in all, a good alternative to McDonald's for a quick bite.

Very popular, delicious burgers and fries

The burgers are delicious and made with beef. Chicken and vegan options are also available. We ordered the classic burger with sweet potato fries and a beer. It was delicious, and we were pleased. The ambiance is beautiful, reminiscent of a forest with birch trunks.

The quality and taste of the food is always great at Hans im Gluck. Good place for lunch during office hours with many seating places available.

Far too few staff, and they weren't particularly attentive or courteous. We stood at the entrance for over 10 minutes until we got a table, even though there were several available. After no one came to take our order, we left.

The place is nice, the burger is delicious, and the service, despite the language difficulties, is excellent. A beer and a burger are a delight.

There were several waiters milling around—almost as many as customers. But we still had to wait over 10 minutes before we could place our order. My question about whether the order would be quick was answered (we had movie tickets), but it still took over 25 minutes to order two burgers.

Hamburgers are ok, but been better in the past. Unfortunately it is getting worse. We waited over an hour for our order, and some dishes were missing. It was my favourite Hamburger chain in Germany.

Disappointing compared to the past. Hans im Glück is now rather expensive, and the quality of the burgers and sides has declined. The restaurant is often crowded and noisy, making dining less than relaxing. The service seems only moderately motivated, rounding off the rather average overall experience. Okay for a quick burger, but not really recommended for an enjoyable dinner.

My burger was perfectly cooked, super juicy, and perfectly balanced in flavor. I also want to particularly highlight the sides and sauces – fresh, delicious, and in just the right portion. The staff was friendly and attentive, making my visit even more enjoyable. All in all, a fantastic experience: high-quality ingredients, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service. The place is right on the road, so it's quite noisy, which ruins the atmosphere a bit. The food was satisfactory, but not exceptional. The service was good and attentive, but the toilet was in very bad condition, which definitely needs improvement. It has many options for vegan food besides salads such as plant burgers etc. The prices are reasonable

Yesterday, unfortunately, the service was very poor, slow even though it was very quiet (around 2:30 p.m.). The hot drink with dessert was also forgotten, and paying took forever. The food in general is okay, but, as is the case almost everywhere, it's far too expensive for the amount.

Usually pretty good place, my spouse and me have been to other locations. This one on the other hand has the most unattentive waiters not only compared to the chain but in whole Germany.

General assessment: The concept seems immature. The burgers are weak in taste, visually unspectacular, and quite small. Overall, the impression is of a rather low-quality offering at a high price. Food: The patty is mediocre, with little flavor. The breads deserve special mention, as they offer a wide selection and are of convincing quality. The fries, on the other hand, are disappointing – unsalted, bland, and of very poor quality. Drinks: The selection of specialty drinks sounds interesting and varied at first glance. However, the execution is disappointing: heavily diluted, lacking flavor and lightly carbonated. The taste is hardly convincing. Service: The staff is friendly and does nothing wrong. There's no cause for criticism here. Atmosphere: A modern and young concept, but rather average and nothing special. Value for money: The prices are clearly too high compared to the quality. Neither the burgers, fries, nor drinks justify the high price. Conclusion: A restaurant with interesting ideas that don't translate into reality. The value for money is particularly poor, as neither the food nor the drinks can compete with the competition in terms of taste.

Apart from one problem, everything was very good. The burgers were among the best I've ever eaten. The restaurant's design is very unusual and high-quality. However, there was one major problem: the restrooms were very dirty, making you feel sick. Apart from that, everything was really great.

The pub was empty. Two tables occupied out of about 30. I waited 10 minutes to order, then 20 minutes for my food. None of the staff (4-6 guys and girls in the room) asked if I wanted a beer, even though my glass was empty. Another 10 minutes until someone came to take my money. The food isn't Michelin-starred, but the nice decor and fast service would be worth it. I'm definitely not sharing Hans's luck anymore. And be careful in the restrooms!!! See pictures, please.

Atmosphere is amazing, the place is decorated uniquely with huge nature installations and warm lightning, etc. Great interior design! I see were the hype has come, also a huge amount of dishes for vegetarians, which is absolutely lovely. As well as the option of going breadless with the burgers, awesome! Even though the place was almost empty, service was ok. The burger was delicious, great ingredients and combinations of flavour, I just thought the portion was a bit small, but maybe I was just very hungry. Overall good experience and good quality ingredients and amazing atmosphere of their interior design!

My family and I decided on a whim to have a light dinner sitting outside at Hans IM Gluck and it was wonderful. The service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very relaxing and casual as you enjoy the nice weather and enjoy the sights ans sounds on Munich passing you by. The burgers and appetizers were delicious and the cocktails were beautifully crafted. I would recommend for a nice relaxing event for dinner or lighter fair and drinks.

Very good food (I had the Smokey Burger). The cocktails (Goldstückchen) were also delicious, and during happy hour starting at 8 p.m., they were also very reasonably priced. The food for 2 people was mostly good but the chicken was overcooked. The small plates were very adequate. The servers were friendly and helpful. There is an extensive vegetarian menu. The prices were good.

Was here on Sunday shortly after 4 p.m. to take advantage of the lunch offer. The service was friendly and quick and the food we ordered came quite quickly. I was particularly looking forward to the coleslaw, but unfortunately I was quite disappointed. Since when does radish belong in this salad? And the sauce had a strange aftertaste. For better or worse, I'll have to skip the coleslaw on my next visit.

Unfortunately, poor hygiene standards behind the bar I was recently a guest in this bar and was generally in a positive mood - the atmosphere is appealing, the burgers are very good. Unfortunately, upon closer observation, I discovered what I found to be a serious defect: the bar spoon was used several times in a row without being cleaned in between. Especially in a professional bar, it should be a matter of course to clean work utensils between drinks - be it for hygiene reasons or to avoid taste transfer, but especially to avoid allergic reactions from guests. I find this approach not only unprofessional, but potentially dangerous to my health. The kitchen is subject to strict hygiene rules - so why not the bar, where fresh, sensitive ingredients are also used? I really hope that the team takes this point more seriously in the future. A bar not only lives on taste, but also on trust.

The varied cuisine is always very tasty and of high quality, unfortunately you have to be lucky when it comes to service. We were greeted very friendly and ordered, but then the attention quickly diminished. We would still like to come back.

Great, large restaurant in the typical Hans-im-Glück style in the middle of the city. Great burgers in a large selection (beef, chicken, vegetarian, vegan), there is something for everyone.

The lunch menu is very worth it, you can sit outside and in the shade, the food is always delicious and the people are friendly. 🤝🏼

We were at Hans im Glück in the Isarpost with our regular table of 6 people on April 4th, 2025. The great service from the start really impressed us in the great atmosphere. The food was simply great and very good. Our service was simply amazing. Competent, friendly and always with a smile, the whole time was a wonderful experience. Thank you Hans in luck.

Really great place to grab a lunch or dinner

We looked for a dinner place that was still open until 11pm and went here at 9:55am. Was denied food eventhough we came here an hour before closing time

Hans im Glück has great options for vegetarians. The staff is also nice. They also have a barcode on every table, which has nutrition information about every dish on the menu. I really like that feature. I have been to this branch twice and overall no complaints.

I'd like to make a statement about Consita E.'s review. I was sitting with friends near this rude trio. The lady and her two companions used inappropriate language, were provocative, and even expressed their outrageous opinion about the waitress's face. The waitress remained professionally friendly. Truly remarkable... I'm not posting the insult because I'm very embarrassed for her! And the insult came from three people who, when it comes to beauty, were created very grassroots! I'm a regular here, and it's great. Tip of the day: if you want kindness, be kind!

Wednesday, 9 p.m., and there's nothing left from the bar. "Unfortunately, it's already closed." At least a watery wine spritzer, diluted with plenty of ice cubes, is still available. At least the food is tasty—ordered just in time—and the kitchen was already closing.
