Hans im Glück in München

I’ve always loved the food but unfortunately the service was really poor. We waited 10 mins to be seated (the restaurant was quite empty but just no waiter could be seen) and more to order. We actually walked all the way in to the restaurant and finally saw a waiter who was chatting with someone… We were not really happy with the service so in the end we decided not to tip. After the waitress saw we press the button for not tipping, she walked away without saying anything and came back cleaning the table very aggressively while we were dressing up. I always tip when the service is good or even when there’s no unpleasant experience, just for this one we decided not to because we did not feel we were served. I have never experienced such bad service in other Hans im Glück before.

Burger a bit cold but otherwise it's ok

The food was delicious. We had burgers with sides and cocktails. Everything was very appealing and tasty. Ordering and service were very quick, even though it was quite busy. Prices were perfectly reasonable for Munich. We'd gladly come again. A friendly suggestion: the restrooms should be cleaned more often. There was a lot of paper lying around in both the men's and women's restrooms, and the trash can was overflowing. It didn't make a good impression.

I stopped by on my way to sightseeing and it was delicious.

Found it by accident. It was 9pm in summer so the sky was still bright. Didn’t know where to eat and fortunately found this gem 400m from my hotel. I thought it was just another hipster bistro, but it turned out to serve the best burger i ever ate in Germany. Would definitely visit this place again! The service was also great.

Nice atmosphere, with a small indoor playground for children. Food was poor. Portions were too small. Frozen meat. Food was lukewarm. The bread rolls tasted like they were from the day before. Far too expensive for what you get.

Very kind and helpful staff and excellent food

My husband and I enjoyed the food and drinks. We shared a nice salad bowl with chicken. My husband had a Hans im Glück beef burger with fries. I had a great vegan burger on a gluten free bun with a small side of sweet potato fries. Everything was fresh, home made, and you could taste it. The waitress was particularly good and patient when taking our order. We definitely recommend this place. It was fun to practice my German language skills :-)

We were there again after a long time. Francesca gave us excellent advice and service. With such a pleasant atmosphere and staff, we'll definitely be back! 💯

There's loud music here, the staff are angry and glaring, and we just finished eating. There were four of us, and they gave us ONE COOKIE AND ONE CANDY!!!!! It's just awful! And they gave us two sauces—the ketchup is normal, but there's absolutely no mayonnaise! Like they said, they just scraped it off! It's a terrible place!

Super child-friendly with a good play area, friendly service and incredibly delicious food.

Sunday in Munich with my wife and child. The restaurant was super nice, young, blond gentleman. Staff like that are worth their weight in gold these days. Seating, order-taking, and food quality were excellent. Reasonable value for money for Munich.

The food came fairly quickly, but it wasn't quite warm, which was a shame. It tasted very good, though. We had to wait a long time for the waitress to bring the bill. Overall, though, the food is still good there.

Now I want to make one thing clear: after our visit to the Isartor yesterday, I will NEVER visit this restaurant again. It is the last thing you can do to a guest if they don't leave a tip. We were there yesterday for dinner. As we paid by card (I usually tip in CASH), I didn't press the tip button, especially after the WAITRESS asked, the SERVICE WAS SO CRAP (bad) and we said no, we were satisfied. We were told, "Okay, BYE." I really do love Hans im Glück, I love your food, but next time I'll think about which branch I'm going to visit. Regards

I’ve travelled the world and back and find that Europe have the best vegan burgers. And Gluck is right there atop my list. Oh my!

We arrived spontaneously, and since we had children with us, we were immediately seated in the new and fantastic indoor children's area! Great location, delicious food, and the kids were happy!

The food and drinks were delicious, though the fries could have been warmer. The waiters weren't particularly friendly and the food was too expensive, but otherwise everything was good.

Today we ordered a burger with sweet potato fries, as well as beans in tepura batter with garlic dip. Everything was very good. Unfortunately, my burger came without a side. I asked twice before my fries finally arrived. Unfortunately, my burger had already been eaten. I would have liked to have it served with the fries. The atmosphere is great, though.

We've been here before for the play corner and recommended it to our friends. So we went again today. At first, we were told we wouldn't be able to use the play corner for about two or three days due to a "technical problem." We didn't understand what the technical problem was. Then they said they couldn't serve food there. There wasn't a technical problem; they were just lying because it was too far away. If someone wanted to come here for the children's corner, they wouldn't just come; they would just arbitrarily close it.

We each had a burger with a side salad and ordered non-alcoholic cocktails. Everything was very good. Despite the large number of guests, the food came quickly, and the waitress was very friendly and accommodating despite being very busy. It's a bit noisy in there because the space is large and open. But it's okay.

Nice burgers and there is a lunch meal deal every day. Nice choice of burgers salads and drinks are great.

It was simply amazing. We received excellent service and advice. It was our first visit to Hans im Glück. The nice gentleman, I think his name is Schoma, welcomed us warmly and anticipated our every need. We need many more people like him. You can tell that hospitality is lived and taken seriously here.

Very delicious. I finally found a very delicious burger in Munich. Don't miss the Smash Burger. The spicy cheese fries are delicious. The salad is average.

A really great place in Munich for a bite to eat. Delicious food and lots of choices! The place is nicely decorated and not overly large, which gives it a very cozy feel.

We know this chain from Bonn; we've never been disappointed there and are loyal followers. Unfortunately, today's was a complete disappointment :( It started with the wilted mint in the drink. The burgers were pretty bland and sat like a stone in the stomach for a very long time. The nuggets were also disappointing. The fries were tasty and hot, but the rest was rather lukewarm. In Bonn, they also offer a hot drink for dessert with the meal. At least the service was friendly! The food arrived in just under 8 minutes.

The service was very friendly and attentive, despite the high volume. The burgers were lukewarm to cold with very little meat, and all for €13.90. The air in the restaurant was bad, and the seats were stained.

We made a reservation at 7 p.m. and got a seat at 7:30 p.m. after waiting in line for half an hour in the rain. We ended up getting a seat right next to the kids' area. We had corn on the cob and a burger for dinner. The burger was good, but some of the corn on the cob was frozen. There are definitely better places to eat in Munich.

I think it's a nice restaurant. ☀️ Very nice for families or younger people. Service depends on the server. Overall, it's nice. The food was okay, but the burger could be a bit juicier. The portions are a decent size. Overall, 4 stars, with some room for improvement.

Dear friends with allergies, this place is definitely not for you. Waiters were not able to correctly communicate my restrictions to the kitchen, and I was almost poisoned. Moreover, they were very rude, almost blaming me for my dietary restrictions. They cancelled everything, and I didn't have to pay for the tea, but if I hadn't spit their salad on time, they would have needed to call emergency. They literally almost poisoned me.

We went there for dinner yesterday with our 2-year-old son. Anyone with a child that age doesn't know what a cozy dinner at a restaurant is like... But here it's different! There's a play area with a play tower, car mat, exploration cube, and chalkboard. Parents can eat right next to the children and have a direct view of them. The area is slightly separated, so the children can play a little louder without disturbing any of the other visitors. Our son was then able to eat and go back to playing. An absolute dream for both children and parents!

The interior has a very nice ambiance. It looks like you're sitting in a birch forest, and there are atmospheric lights everywhere. There's a large selection of burgers, boules, salads (vegetarian and regular), and a variety of fries. To drink, there's a wide selection of different Aperol Spritz varieties and, of course, all the usual drinks. The burger brioche was a bit hard, but otherwise good. The price was relatively expensive for a burger (€12) and an Aperol Spritz (€9). However, the location is very central (near Stachus or Sendlinger Tor). I will recommend it, especially because of the beautiful setting.

We've been to several Hans im Glück restaurants in Munich and always enjoyed them very much. I was disappointed at the Isator for the first time. The food was okay, but I'd prefer the onions in the Western Burger braised. What's absolutely unacceptable is the horrible smell of ammonia in the women's restroom. It's as if it hasn't been cleaned in ages. It gives off a very unclean impression.

They're closing the place based on gut feeling; don't trust the opening hours. Better get a burger somewhere else...

I've always enjoyed going there with my sons, ever since they were little, but even now in their twenties. I usually eat the very good vegan and vegetarian burgers, but this time I wanted to try the new Double Smash Burger with a truffled mushroom upgrade. It's absolutely delicious. It should be double, but it should be even better. We were pleasantly surprised by the BBQ Cauli Wings. We're definitely fans!

A non-alcoholic beer (0.3l) costs €6.50. Even by Munich standards, that's grossly overpriced. And this is a fast-food chain, not a trendy club...

Good place for a quick bite: they have different burgers with also vegetarian and vegan options. For those in search of a healthier meal, also some salads are available.

Outstanding burgers, just like you'd expect from Hans im Glück. The loaded fries are also delicious, and the sauces served at the table go perfectly with them. You'll need to bring a bit of a wallet, though.

Generally speaking, these are very good burgers and still highly recommended. Unfortunately, the menu is getting worse and worse, and many of the menu's highlights have been replaced with higher-margin but less original or compelling alternatives, especially beyond the burgers. The inexpensive pound of golden fries, which were perfect for sharing, has given way to loaded fries, and sauces like the 3-pepper sauce have also been discontinued. The hot drink, which was previously included, has been removed from the lunch menu.

This Hans im Glück is big and beautiful. There's a small children's corner at the back, but it's really small. The food and drinks were very good.

They now have gluten-free burger buns! It was super delicious and soft! Not at all dry, like some gluten-free buns.
