As far as I know, permanently closed...very tragic, always a guarantee of very friendly service, tasty food and reasonable prices. Goodbye and goodbye!!

Every time i am in Hamburg, this restaurant is a fixed evening dinner since years! Situated on city centre, you can eat excellent fish dishes "Hamburg art", at reasonable prices. A visit is a must!

Rustic, cozy fish restaurant with exceptionally excellent cuisine and great service. We were there spontaneously with 13 people (!), found space without any problems (early evening during the week) and didn't have to wait long for the drinks or the various menus. The service was extremely friendly and really on the ball.

The food was really okay. You get down-to-earth food that is well prepared and handcrafted at a reasonable price. You shouldn't expect any frills, but that's what the name says. The service was very courteous and to the point. You get the feeling that the waitress helped found the shop and that feels good. We ate outside, so can't comment on the ambience inside. It will probably be quaint and appropriate. I would be surprised at anything else, because the parts we saw and tasted gave a coherent overall picture.

It was a solid meal. Fish was good. Fried potatoes delicious. Unfortunately, service was not present at all and we waited a long time even though there was nothing going on (for service).

Eine sehr positive Überraschung. Ich wollte meinen internationalen Kollegen traditionelle Hamburgische Bürgerküche zeigen und genau die haben wir bekommen. Die Portionen sind riesig und die Qualität war erstaunlich gut. Kompliment an die Küche, dass unsere große Gruppe ihr Essen warm und auf den Punkt gegart gleichzeitig bekommen hat.

The food was very tasty, but extremely oily, and the platter was shared for two and it was enough. Service was very friendly, the lady Anna served us, she had a lot to do, (I work in the catering industry myself, I think I can assess that well) but was still friendly. You have to say the ambience is old-fashioned YES! BUT it fits into the concept, which makes the whole thing a really nice restaurant. Nice old German, delicious food and a nice service staff as well as a great barman, we would like to come back.

Very good food, good selection of fish dishes. Service very friendly. We were there on September 24th, sat outside in lovely weather. If you are in Hamburg and like fish, you should definitely go there.

Price performance very good. There is only one thing to say. It was delicious.

I ate there again yesterday. Once again, both the food and the service were simply great! The Hamburg Panfish is a poem! The pollock in beer batter is second to none! The warm potato salad served with it is also a poem! When it comes to the portion size, you should also think carefully beforehand about whether you can really make an appetizer 😀 PS: Unfortunately I neglected to take photos of the food. So go and see for yourself! You're not doing anything wrong.

There are mice constantly wandering around inside. The presentation of the food is chaotic and lacking in taste. It's a dirty place.

We've eaten here several times, a very quaint restaurant with very friendly service and very tasty food. We'll come back when we're back in Hamburg. Because until now everything has always been great.

Este es un gran tubo subterráneo. " Muy satisfactorio "fish and chips", que afortunadamente tenía algunas patatas increíbles en lugar de patatas fritas. La esposa tenía un plato mixto de mariscos que también era excelente. Grandes porciones, que parece ser la norma en Hamburgo. El postre "helado caliente", helado con bayas calientes, era genial.

Quaint restaurant with very, very good fish dishes. In summer you can sit outside and in winter in the cozy niches. We come here every time we are in Hamburg. :)

I was looking for a fish dish nearby, but probably because it was Sunday, none of the places were open, so I happened to stop by this place. It was not salty and very light, and the rice it came with was very delicious... I highly recommend it.

The fish was done correctly. The vegetables were overcooked. More disappointingly, the server was rude almost to the point of belligerence when we complained about the food. Tips were demanded at the exit.

We were there on June 26th. There in the evening. Had reserved a table for 5 people. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted with the words, "Take a seat... we've just been overrun, come to your table straight away." 1 hour later we received the menu. After 1.5 hours we finally got the drinks and after 2 hours our food. In the 2 hours, guests who had also been waiting for a menu and food had been attacked by the very unfriendly service staff, so they left without ordering. There were maybe 15 guests there, manageable with 2 service staff. The 1 star is only because the fish dishes tasted good. The taste of the Wiener Schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes was more right than bad. If everyone had at least said sorry about the lack of staff, then everyone would have understood. But nothing like that happened, just unfriendly behavior. Well, bad luck, we're always generous with tips, but in this case there was almost nothing. AND we'll definitely never go there again. A little tip... It's better to go to the Helo Restaurant opposite, the best in Hamburg. Food top service excellent despite the restaurant being full.

We stayed at a nearby hotel and this place restaurant was at such a convenient spot for us, especially with a 1 year old. The food , staff and service was top notch. Don’t forget to check the menu of the day. They have such a good variety of fish and delicious sides to go with it. Enjoy with a nice white wine. Recommend this restaurant!

The Grillteller “Fischerstube” was delicious and the outside dining area was relaxing.

We always enjoy coming to the Fischerstube to eat Labskaus. We come here every few months and are always warmly greeted by the waitress who already knows us. I can't really say anything about the other dishes but Labskaus is really great.

It's close to the State Opera, making it convenient for dining before or after the opera or ballet. It can be difficult to find a variety of menu options at a fish restaurant. I wanted to eat rice, so I chose grilled white fish and shrimp with rice as a side dish. The white fish was light and delicious, and the butter and dill sauce was also delicious. The shrimp was very salty and the beer went on and on. The service madam was very kind and warm.

Terrible service. The worst I have ever experienced anywhere in the world!!!!, My husband ordered schnitzel and was given a fish dish. When he told the waitress she told him he had ordered fish. After he continued to insist he hasn't she just told him too bad she couldn't do anything about it. We refused to pay for the fish and eventually were given a free drink and half the cost of the fish meal. The waitress then attempted to charge us twice the cost of the meals. Lots of other fantastic restaurants down this street. Give this one a wide berth.

We went there for dinner for the second time this July 2024. The restaurant is located in the basement. It has a good number of guests. Reservations are advisable. Bus stops are nearby, as there are no parking spaces.

We can absolutely recommend this restaurant! Very tasty food -> freshly prepared and, as we felt, everything was made ourselves. Nice service, fast service, short to normal waiting time -> absolutely ok. We had the leek cream soup as a starter, the grilled plate and the salmon with rösti as the main course -> pictures are attached. The prices are absolutely right! Thank you. We'd love to come back. This is a very especial place. You feel a bit like inside of a ship. The food is abundant, delicious, and they do gluten free plates for you ❤️

Nei pressi dell'hotel in cui risiedevo avevo notato a distanza questo ristorante, decidendo di provarlo una volta nel corso del mio soggiorno. Abbiamo cenato all'interno, sala accogliente, inizialmente una buona impressione. Per iniziare, ho ordinato una crema di zuppa di aragosta (buona), e nel proseguio filetto di merluzzo (Dortsch, ok) accompagnato da patate (ben cotte, ma troppo salate!). Avrei voluto comunque concludere la serata con un dolce, sfortunatamente quando abbiamo fatto cenno alla cameriera ci è stato comunicato che la cucina era chiusa; probabilmente, a livello di servizio, avrei gradito un indicazione anzitempo dal personale di sala che la cucina stesse chiudendo, visto che avevamo ancora i piatti davanti e stavamo aspettando il personale di sala. Conto personale di 39,50 EUR, da rivedere.

We came here with pretty good expectations based on the many reviews. Unfortunately, the matjes was riddled with a lot of large fish bones that we don't really know about. For a long time we didn't ask if everything was okay. Only when we had finished eating. The service reacted to our feedback quite uncomprehendingly and with a shrug of the shoulders. We would have wished it differently. We probably won't come back again

The ambience and the service are better than the food, which is rather average and was unfortunately very greasy or oily, you can probably eat out once but not a second time.

A great, rustic Hamburg restaurant, we treated ourselves to a meal there on the last day to say goodbye to this beautiful city. The food was super tasty and there was nothing to complain about. 😋 Service is currently understaffed and an apology should be made if it is not quick enough. Small fish restaurant in the basement. The best dishes contain herring, mates herring, schmaltz herring as well as fresh herring fried or backed with home fried potatoes. They were delicious. Also good were dishes of large baked potatoes served with tons of sour cream , salad and shrimps or other seafood. Portions are very large

They offer a daily-changing special lunch menu, which is of great value and very good quality. The food is better than another (equally well sign-posted fish restaurant in old town). Recommend this!

We both ordered Hamburger Pannfisch and were not disappointed. The Bratkartoffeln are outstanding too. Service is very nice and attentive. Overall a great stop for a satisfying lunch!

Not exactly cheap but you get really good portions for the price. Everything is rather hearty and powerful. Unfortunately it didn't really suit my taste.

There were four of us there. 2 times Wiener Schnitzel and once labskaus and pike perch fillet.. everyone was disappointed with the quality of the food. The schnitzel wasn't flattened well and the breading just wasn't done well. The breading and sauce of the pike perch fillets were too fatty and had no outstanding taste. The rustic furnishings are ok. The room smells bad. The service is on point even though we had to wait an hour for the food. We won't be coming back...

The fish was very good and the portions were very generous. The wine from the Palatinate also tasted very good. Authentic, simple, marine interior. You feel good. Service could have been a little warmer.

A wonderful atmospheric establishment in the style of central Hamburg. Small cozy tables, clean toilets. We ordered Fieschplate für 2 Personen. They brought just a huge dish with fresh fish and wonderful vegetables, fried new potatoes. I give a special plus to the beer. Sooo correct. The staff is polite, the waiting time for food is minimal. I recommend a mandatory visit.

I made a reservation for 4-7 people for a group of colleagues who came from different parts of Europe for a company meeting in Hamburg. In the end there were about 20 of us because people recommended the place to each other. Many come hungry from the airport and get delicious traditional dishes here. Everyone loved the food and drinks and we plan to come back but will definitely plan better as it was very difficult for the restaurant staff to serve so many guests without notice. Thank you for hosting us and making sure that even those who arrived last minute had something to eat and drink.

Just a few minutes' walk from the Binnenalster, you can eat very good fish here. The portions are large enough and the fish is very tasty. The staff was friendly and accommodating . The waiter also recommended exactly the right food for us. We felt very comfortable.

Second time at this place. No disappointment. It was as great as the first time. I ordered a one liter heff weissen beer, Pretzels and pork nickel. The skin of the pork was so chrispy and delicious, it was the best park. I definitively recommend this restaurant.

I'm here on a business trip in Hamburg for 2 weeks. I ate at the Colonades every day and tried the whole street. Unfortunately, it wasn't until the very end that I went into this totally inconspicuous fisherman's room. I was greeted directly on a first-name basis and was offered a free choice of seating. The menu is manageable and reads very appetizingly. Then the food came. Really awesome! I was there again the next evening. For me it tasted best here. So an evaluation based on conviction. Very, very tasty and absolutely something special.

Wir hatten Glück und fanden noch einen freien Tisch. Das Lokal befinde sich im Untergeschoss. Die Fischgerichte schmeckten sehr gut. Die Portionen sind grosszügig. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Wir fühlten uns wohl.
