Griechisches Restaurant Apollon in Grömitz

We came here by accident. Very nice service, food good too. The entrance area seems a bit uncomfortable.

So we just didn't want to spend over 20 euros on food. Of the 3 Greeks it is the cheapest with lunch included. Since I'm a bargain hunter, this is where I come from. Fast service, nice service and the food was tasty and filling and we were too. We were there for lunch and I would come back with the family. So it's worth leaving the beach.

The food was truly excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. The kids even got a children's schnapps after dinner to toast. :)

The worst thing I've ever experienced. Food a complete disaster. 8 people, of which 7.5 portions were not edible. Over-salting can happen but everything was inedible. The rice was sour, the meat was more than dry. Only the fries were okay. Waiters always have arms that are too short. You can't even give 1 star, you can subtract 5.

I've eaten better Greek food several times. Unfortunately, the beef liver was still bloody, no lamb fillet or lamb chops, even though it was on the menu. When asked, the waiter said that they hadn't bought it yet. Greek and no lamb, that's not possible. Staff friendly and helpful. Gyros dry and pieces too big. Needs improvement!!!

Very nice, very tasty, very fast, very good value for money, very large portions. Clean restaurant, suitable for families and definitely not a tourist trap. We'll be back.

The gyros had probably been on the skewer for a while - tasted musty, fresh was a bit different, completely over-seasoned!!!! Bifteki very dry.. Tzatziki - never eaten anything so bad. Never again .....

It was nice, friendly, quick, good food

We had bifteki and kalamaris (real ones), and a delicious salad as a starter. For the price it was a solid meal and I can recommend the Greek!

We were there as a large group and had the drinks very quickly and the food also came quickly. The atmosphere was okay, we've been to nicer Greek restaurants. The food itself was okay, but nothing special. The service was good and warm.

The food was really delicious, especially the chicken soup with garlic bread was a highlight. Unfortunately, the lamps hanging above the table are extremely bright, which wasn't great. Otherwise everything was great!

The Greek restaurant has a very large selection of both Greek and German dishes. The food is delicious and the price-performance ratio is very good. We already knew the restaurant from a previous vacation and were very happy to come here again. Luckily we had reservations. It was very well attended.

Very good lunch, a wide range of dishes, which are also extensive and very tasty. Definitely always worth a detour in Grömitz.

Salade very tasty, lunch portion of Giros generous and very well seasoned. Big tasty fries. The Déco is not my thing but the food is definitely worth it!

Rice no taste. Thick fries. Bifteki with long greens in it. I don't know Bifteki like that.

Very, very friendly staff. The menu is very extensive and varied and the price-performance ratio is more than fair. We had grilled chicken, the Bud Spencer plate and a fantastically delicious curry chicken soup. Absolute recommendation.

Warmer spontaneously on site. I had lunch, my wife baked gyros from the daily menu. It was great, but no Metaxa sauce and my menu from M2 was okay. Were very friendly.

We had reserved a table. The staff was very friendly and the waiting time for the food was short, even though the restaurant was full. The food tasted very good, value for money was great.

The food was okay, but in our opinion it was too expensive. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay in the restaurant due to the very warm manner of the host. A centrally located Greek restaurant with some German cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. The food is typically Greek and very, very tasty. The service was friendly and child-friendly. The prices are reasonable.

The quality of the food varies greatly. Were there twice, the first time it would have been 5 stars, the second time only 1 star. However, the response was very accommodating; food was only charged half or not at all. Nevertheless, something like that shouldn't happen, the quality has to be consistent.

On the website you advertise vegan dishes, in the restaurant the waitress then asks brusquely and on a first-name basis 'if you are blind'; Everything is on the menu (it isn't) if you ask. The lady's service was otherwise very slow and generally underground. Another colleague was very friendly. I was then served two starters (beans and grape leaves) without cheese, which were okay (hence not just one star). However, the seasoning, including that of the meat dishes, is very 'German' (i.e. bland). Anyone interested in authentic Greek cuisine will not be happy here.

Rice without taste, tzatziki tasted musty, bifteki not as I know it, the other types of meat were good, fries and salad also no criticism.

Food 4, service 2 We were there on a Tuesday evening, we came here because of the recession. It was very busy, we also got a table outside, but with luck as guests were leaving (despite reservations). The food was solid to good, the portions were sufficient and good. However, the service wasn't that great, no please and thank you and a lot only on request. The tone was also rather fast and rustic. The atmosphere was rather simple and you should sweep the terrace every now and then. We would rather not come again.

We had high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, things didn't go quite so smoothly for us. The meat was ok, service was relatively friendly, some of the side dishes were initially forgotten, then quickly delivered - which was pleasing at first, but then they were simply unacceptable. The rice and the tzatziki were particularly bad. It was quite hectic and full in the restaurant, so we blamed that on that. Nevertheless, you pay a lot and want a completely acceptable meal for your money.

Service was top, attentive and very friendly. The waiting time is very short and the Alster is nice and cold. The mixed salad was okay, the tomato was a bit mushy. The special grill plate we ordered came very quickly. Unfortunately I found the fries to be too soft and I didn't like the tzatziki at all or had hardly any taste. The different meat variations were okay, but didn't convince me in terms of taste. After dinner there was an ouzo on the house.

We were in this restaurant on August 30, 2024. We would probably have been better off with any other of the numerous Greeks in town. Greek and German specialties are advertised. Unfortunately, the gyro was barely cooked through and I had to struggle with it for a while. With the fried fish there was ready-made potato salad, which is probably the German specialty. Luckily the portions were very small. The service was attentive and friendly.

We ordered a lunch menu, namely the M1 and M7. The portions were okay, but unfortunately, as it turned out later, the tzatziki hadn't been made for three days and therefore had a bit of a bite and a musty taste. We pointed this out to the waitress and, after tasting it, she confirmed that the tzatziki had not been remade in three days. Now ceramic is our best friend.

Well... It's quite pleasant to sit outside. I can't report anything about the interior. I wasn't in it. The two employees were nice. Can't say anything. In my experience, the food is just short of satisfactory snack quality. Not outstanding but it fills you up. The hair incorporated into the bifteki was funny🥴 When I was clearing up, I gave the tip to wear a hairnet in the kitchen when preparing. Oh well. It can happen sometimes. It was heated through😂 Would I eat there again or recommend it to others? Probably not. But everyone has their own ideas and experiences. Continued success👍🏻

The lunch menu at Apollon is worth recommending. You get full and pay a little less than in the evening. Good and fast service. And finally a restaurant in Grömitz where you could pay by card.

We had dinner here yesterday. Excellent service, very courteous service staff. Our dog immediately got fresh water. We ordered the wrong meal, we were immediately brought a new dish (which was what we actually wanted) and we weren't charged for it. Absolutely great. Food was excellent. Fantastic price-performance ratio. We recommend. We will be back.

The waitress handed us the cards without greeting us. From then on we were ignored. We then went to the promenade with our little family to compete. She was very hospitable there.

Staff nice and accommodating. We got seats even though we came spontaneously, i.e. without a reservation. Plenty of food selection...all 4 dishes we ordered were tasty and plentiful.

We visited with our dogs this evening. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table. There was a bowl of water for our dogs and we were served quickly. The food was very tasty and most of the waitresses were very friendly. Unfortunately, we noticed a service in a negative way, which made us feel very uncomfortable in this situation. This waitress called over a colleague who was probably new and was about to take our order. She complained to the guests that she should clear and wipe the tables and not take any orders. We found this very unpleasant and not right. This means you don't have to talk in front of guests or with your colleagues in general. This works nicely too. Except for this situation, everyone else was very nice and friendly and the food was worth it.

We had takeaway lunch here. Fries and salad were good and fresh. The fried potatoes looked delicious, but smelled and tasted totally sour and spoiled. The gyro was good and generously sized. Unfortunately, Bifteki is totally flat and quite dry. There was a lot of tzatziki (about 1/3 of the container was full of it). It would be nice if there were less tzatziki and bread instead

We enjoyed it very much, very attentive and nice staff. Unfortunately, the portions were too big for us after the sumptuous starter. 28 years ago this wouldn't have been an order (grin). Highly recommend this restaurant.

So it's unfortunately disappointing for us. Firstly, if the staff has to fight, please do so behind the scenes and not directly in front of the guests. The food was manageable on the plate, sometimes not cooked through and tasted watery. We won't be coming back again. We could have saved over 70 euros. A pity.

We've been here 4 times in 14 days so far - that actually says a lot. The food was always very good - whether it was schnitzel, fish, grilled dishes, baked goods or Giros. Everything tasted very good and allergy-related special requests were no problem. This shows that no finished products are used. The service is just fun and depending on the mood, 3 Hausouzos per person were served. We didn't experience any broken furniture or small portions!

Nice staff, but if gratinated gyros are ordered you can point out to the guest that there are no fries or anything similar. The quality of the gyros was not good. Very greasy and would have needed some more time on the skewer. The fish was ok. The starter salad was ok.

If you're hungry, you might not want to choose lunch. It's more of a children's portion. Everyone should form their own opinion about taste. Unfortunately it wasn't for us. But the service was really 👍. Nevertheless, we don't come here anymore.

Six of us ate at Apollon three times. After the first time it was clear that this would be our regular restaurant in Grömitz and we wouldn't look for anything else. All meat, fish and starter dishes were fantastic and of great quality. The service was exceptional and our server was so accommodating and friendly. We can all highly recommend this restaurant. A MUST in Grömitz. Great price/performance ratio. When we're in Grömitz again, we'll go to the Apollon! Many thanks to Niki!!

There are better alternatives. Salad was fresh and crunchy, but with a completely tasteless dressing (milk with water?), carelessly prepared main course (with melon?🤔 why?) French fries were tasty and hot, as was the rice (very bland). Canned bifteki? Liver not grilled tasty, gyros poorly seasoned and sometimes gristly. Service was ok.
