Greifswalder Logenhaus in Greifswald

Wir haben uns angemeldet für Brunch um 10 Uhr. Angekommen hieß es, dass Brunch erst um 11:15 aufgebaut wird. Davor gibt es nur Frühstück. Das war schade aber ok. Leider was das Frühstuck aber sehr karg ausgestattet. Dafür dass die Frühstückkarte reichlich zu bieten hatte, was das Buffet sehr dünn. Es gab lediglich bisschen Aufschnitt, zwei Sorten Rührei, Eier und kleine Eierkuchen. Dazu Brot und (scheinbar) aufbackbrötchen. Da haben wir schlicht mehr erwartet (zb Bacon, Waffeln, Nürnberger, frische säfte, inkludierte Café Crema, capuchino, Weichkäse …) Dass nur Filterkaffee und Tee mit im Preis drin waren war auch etwas enttäuschend. Schade.

Vielen Dank für euren gestrigen Einsatz. Ihr (John) habt den Abend gerettet und unser Klassentreffen ganz toll begleitet. Es wurde die Fritteuse gefühlt 10 mal an/ausgeschaltet 😄. Die Getränke kamen fix an die Tische. Beste Grüße, der Lichtbringer 🔦

War spontan zum Mittagessen mit meiner Familie dort. Freundlicher Empfang und super Service von Anfang bis Ende. Dazu leckeres Essen mit Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert sowie Getränken. Es gibt sogar alkoholfreien Weißwein. Perfekt 👍🏻 Das Logenhaus ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben veganes Frühstück bestellt und kommentarlos statt des veganen Lachsersatzes echten Fisch erhalten sowie Frischkäse aus Kuhmilch. Die Begründung war, der ukrainische Koch würde vegan nicht verstehen und die Kommunikation sei nicht möglich. Statt sich zu entschuldigen und das Frühstück aufs Haus zu nehmen (das ohnehin mit 16 Euro für 2 Brötchen doppelt so teuer ist wie die meisten anderen Frühstücksvarianten) mussten wir tatsächlich die Hälfte bezahlen. Das Service Personal war sehr freundlich, aber nicht sehr aufmerksam und Wartezeiten viel zu lang.

Ganz tolles Essen, sehr nette Bedienung und ein super schönes Ambiente. Wir haben das erste mal mit Kleinkind entspannt essen können, dank großer Spielecke mit Kinderküche. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Am 28.3.26 wurden wir abends von unseren Freunden in das Restaurant eingeladen. Positiv: freundliches Personal. Negativ: das Essen, speziell das Bauernfrühstück ist nicht empfehlenswert- es bestand aus einer Eiermasse (vermeindlich aus dem Tetrapack) in welcher Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Speck nur in homöopathischen Dosen vorhanden waren garniert mit einem Hauch von Gurke.

Ein sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr zentral gelegen. Der Service war sehr kompetent und freundlich. Auch auf spezielle Wünsche der Gäste wird sehr spontan eingegangen. Das Essen war sehr frisch und ausreichend.

Da ruft man extra an, kommt hin, wird hingesetzt um nach 15 Minuten weggeschickt zu werden, weil der eine reservierte Tisch abgesagt hat und der Koch deshalb nach Hause geht... Manchmal möchte man wohl kein Geld verdienen. Was bringen 2 Kellner mittags, wenn es kein Essen gibt? Finde den Fehler.. traurig. War mal gut.

Wir waren zum Geburtstag unser Mutter dort zum mittagsbrunch und es war sehr enttäuschend. Auf die Getränke musste man lange Warten, das Buffetangebot war sehr überschaubar, geschmacklich nicht sehr überzeugend und es wurde sich sehr viel Zeit gelassen das Buffet wieder aufzufüllen. Fazit wir würden kein 2 x dort zum Brunch gehen!!!

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort. Wir hatten extra vorab auf der Karte das vegane Angebot angeschaut. Und dann gabs noch nicht mal Hafermilch, geschweige veganen Aufstrich oder veganen Käse. Sehr enttäuschend. Der Service war unterirdisch. Unfreundlich und trotz mittlerer Auslastung mussten wir ewig auf alles warten. Erst der Brotkorb (unvollständig) und ewig später der Rest. Als dann die Aufbackbrötchen schon kalt waren. Selbst die Getränke haben unverhältnismäßig lange gebraucht. NIE wieder!

Nettes Personal,gute Auswahl an Speisen und schmackhaft,aber leider dauerte es von der Bestellung bis zum servieren sehr lange.

Wir waren am 1.Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Buffet dort.

Christmas party with our team. We were warmly welcomed. The service was friendly and attentive. Drinks were served quickly, so the bartender did a great job. The food was very good, as was the dessert. Thank you to the chefs. The buffet was beautifully presented. We enjoyed the speech by the owner. All in all, a very successful evening. Many thanks to the Greifswald Lodge.

We reserved a table for breakfast for four. They still had availability a day ahead. The food tasted good, although we had to wait a while until it arrived. I liked the music that played in the background. The staff was nice. Bathrooms were clean, although a bit dimly lit.

Negative: The pike-perch fillet had bones, and the cucumber-dill vegetable dish, which consisted of three small pieces of cucumber, didn't even have a hint of dill. What a shame! The roulade was simply tough and impossible to chew. It was generally lacking in salt. Positive: The service!!! The children's play area was suitable for several children and included a changing table with diapers and trash bags.

The food was delicious; I had pike-perch with roasted vegetables, mustard sauce, and pumpkin and potato fritters. The fish and vegetables were piping hot, which I thought was great 👍🏼. Unfortunately, the fritters were cold 🙁. Whether that was intentional wasn't mentioned on the menu. I would have preferred them freshly prepared and therefore hot. I personally wouldn't recommend the lemonade; it's just a syrup served with sparkling water and a lot of ice. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, as the rooms are quite large. However, it was still possible to have a conversation.

I have the feeling the kitchen gets overwhelmed very quickly with larger groups. We waited almost two hours for our food (11 people). Very friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere.

Waited an hour for a simple breakfast with few customers. The French toast was burnt to embers, some drinks were forgotten or brought something else entirely, and the cold cuts weren't exactly plentiful. It's time to close the place.

Ordered drinks and picked out breakfast. Spent an hour there without seeing the server again. Then we finally found someone and took our order – after another 40 minutes, a basket of breakfast rolls arrived. After 10 minutes, the server came back and listed again what apparently wasn't available from our order. 😅 Then we left. Spent two hours there for tea, never again at Logenhaus! 👍🏼 PS: The French toast from the next table was completely burnt. 👍🏼

Unfortunately, the vegetarian menu is very limited. Otherwise, there's nothing really to complain about. Very friendly and attentive service. The salad could have been presented a little more lovingly, but it was okay. I found the room a bit too cold, but that's also a very subjective impression.

As always great breakfast and great service

The service was super friendly, we were served quickly, and the food was really good and plentiful. We called ahead and asked if we could come with two dogs and even got a seat inside, really nicely in the corner so the dogs could lie down in peace and we wouldn't disturb anyone. The homemade iced tea was really good. My special requests (burger with a vegan patty, regular pickles instead of pickles, etc.) were also perfectly accommodated. The menu was actually very clear. But I prefer a small menu if everything is fresh and tastes good. And everyone still found something and was full. By the way, the dogs were offered water before us. Each even had their own bowl.

Limited selection. Not everything on the menu was in stock. Small portions, carelessly presented on the plates. Nothing green with the burger. The schnitzel was lukewarm. Hardly any customers, but it still took a long time. I wouldn't go there again.

The ambiance was excellent and very inviting. Unfortunately, the service couldn't keep up: drinks like coffee and espresso took over 45 minutes to arrive, despite low occupancy. Breakfast was also disappointing. It was incomplete, very sparse, and only served after an hour. For example: three slices of cheese, some jam, and two slices of salmon. The value for money was very poor overall. For simple discount products like pre-baked rolls, the prices are absolutely unjustified. The quality used to be much better, but it has since declined considerably. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place for the future.

We celebrated a milestone birthday here. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Simply TOP 👍🏻👍🏻 We had a rump steak for the "birthday girl" and then a crispy cheeseburger with fries for ourselves (regular and vegan were both delicious). For starters, we had a chicken salad (also delicious in the vegan version). All in all, a truly successful evening. We definitely recommend it. 👍🏻

We ate there with the kids and highly commended our server. The Logenhaus burger was incredibly delicious. The chef could have been a bit more bold with the seasoning of the schnitzels, but they were otherwise excellent.

This place shouldn't even be given a star. We were there yesterday (8/26/25) as a family (8 adults and 1 child). We waited over an hour for the food, and when it finally arrived, the fries and schnitzel were cold. The portions were so poorly prepared and so small that even the little one couldn't get enough, and that's despite a meal costing at least €20 each. It's a shame, it used to be so nice there, and the food was great too. This was definitely our last time there.

We were able to stop by the Logenhaus with our Herzenstour (heart tour) and we're still raving about it. We received a very friendly welcome, and the service was first-class. The value for money in this restaurant is absolutely spot on, and the quality of the food and drinks is a truly magical feast. Anyone visiting Greifswald should definitely stop by. The visit is worthwhile in every respect. In addition to delicious main courses and refreshing drinks, both sweet and bitter, the desserts in particular offer an explosive journey of flavor that will linger on your tongue for days afterward. Thank you for this wonderful stay, and we wish you continued success with this outstanding restaurant.

The selection of dishes has been significantly reduced, which isn't a bad thing. However, when you order something and EVERY dish is missing an advertised ingredient (one example: mozzarella and melon salad - mozzarella was missing), the salad tastes bitter and inedible, and is served very cheaply in a bowl, it makes me sick. Quality is/was not a priority here. The Lillet was almost colorless (diluted) and served with three raspberries - unbelievable! A year ago, we visited the Logenhaus and were absolutely thrilled with the selection of dishes and the taste. So we decided to go back and regretted it. The service team was courteous. It's a real shame that they constantly have to justify the kitchen's mistakes.

Restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, very good service – friendly and attentive. We were served quickly. The food was okay, but for the price of the main courses, it could have been a bit more generous and arranged with more care. The vegetable content in all dishes could have been a bit higher (side salad, etc.).

We always enjoy coming here; the outdoor area is dog-friendly. The staff was super friendly and the food was excellent. The menu is small, but everyone found something delicious to eat.

I ate at the restaurant today and would like to express my sincere appreciation for the service. Our waitress (about 20 years old) was simply outstanding – incredibly friendly, attentive, and approachable. She really took her time, responded immediately to all requests, and was always warm and accommodating. Her manner created a particularly pleasant atmosphere for the evening, making it unforgettable. You rarely experience service like this – absolutely top-notch!

Simple breakfast, ask about waiting time

We wanted to have dinner there and got a table but waited for three quarters of an hour for the food. The food itself was very good, unfortunately I ordered fried potatoes for an extra charge, they were as soft as porridge, I have never eaten such potatoes before, if you charge a higher price they should also be top quality, otherwise friendly and OK.

You can eat there. The selection is okay, but the prices are quite high.

The service was okay. The food was lousy and grossly overpriced for its substandard quality.

Great food, new menu, great service

We ordered brunch. The buffet offered a very simple breakfast. By the time everyone had reached the buffet for the first time, there was no butter, bread, mini rolls, sausage, or even scrambled eggs left. After several requests, a little more was added. At 11:00 a.m., the hot food arrived. Even the breakfast plates provided were too big for what everyone dared to take. Two people didn't eat any of them, and yet everything was gone after the first course. For almost €30, I expected more. Once and never again.

Breakfast has gotten so bad since the change of ownership! You get meager items that aren't even enough for toppings! Nothing to look at, no fruit decorations, and no appetizing presentation! We'll never go back because it's just not worth it...because you have to go to McDonald's afterward!

We ate at the Logenhaus in Greifswald with our family, including two small children. Unfortunately, despite the restaurant being relatively empty, we had to wait about 50 minutes for our food – a real challenge for families with children. The plates were poorly presented, and the food looked as if it had just been hastily thrown on. The fried potatoes were still cold inside, which unfortunately confirmed this impression. The children's dishes were completely overpriced. The schnitzel tasted okay, and the burger was also okay, but overall, the quality and especially the service disappointed us. Unfortunately, it wasn't a successful experience for us – especially not recommended for families.

So: Where do I begin? No fries, neither of the starters offered on the "summer menu" were available. Then we got garlic bread: it looked and tasted like something from a discount store. The main course was also "meh." My pasta in its creamy sauce didn't have much flavor, and no amount of salt helped. The fish was OK, but it also needed salt to bring out the flavor on my tongue. One bright spot is still the play area for our son. My husband wasn't really thrilled with his food either - it was cold!!!!! Last but not least: hmm... where did the lodge from two months ago go? We were disappointed, and folks: you've really gone downhill.

After the chef changed, I strongly advise against visiting Logenhaus. The menu has been significantly reduced, and the food selection is limited. The waiter came and brought the drinks we ordered. Then the long wait began. A full 1 hour and 40 minutes later, the food arrived. During the entire wait, the waitress didn't even come to the table to ask for it. The restaurant was about 50% full. Since there was little choice, I ordered a hamburger schnitzel. On the plate were fries and a small schnitzel with two eggs, that was it. The price was 21 euros. Ridiculous. The fries weren't in the fryer long enough, and the schnitzel wasn't seasoned. Conclusion: Never again Logenhaus!

Unfortunately, the menu was very limited. There were only four dishes on the menu.

After studying the online menu at 9:00 a.m., I reserved a table for one person at 1:30 p.m. When I arrived at 1:20 p.m. and wanted to order the dishes I had chosen in advance—asparagus cream soup and asparagus with schnitzel—I was told that the menu had been changed and that asparagus would no longer be on the menu, and that this would be on May 18. Because of this, I left immediately, so I can't write a review.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined considerably compared to previous visits. Cold, soggy fried potatoes, a deep-fried schnitzel, fried eggs, and a side salad (salted, oiled arugula and a lemon) for €25—a real shame.

Unfortunately, it's gone downhill quite a bit. The service is nice, but the chef needs to work on his culinary skills.

Disappointing!!! Youth consecration & birthday - we would have preferred to reserve somewhere else. Damage us money. The service is the bright spot. According to the invoice, a young, courteous temporary waiter/student named Samuel was responsible for both events for us. Saturday's youth dedication & Sunday's my daughter's birthday. On Saturdays, due to sudden illnesses among the staff, the switch to a small extra card was made (alternatively, all bookings were canceled). The food was good so far. Nothing special, who knows who was in charge of the kitchen. Sunday, however, was a complete disappointment. It was also Mother's Day. A day with many reservations. We wanted to eat breakfast a la carte with 12 people. After 1.5 hours of waiting and asking, we received our dismal "canteen" plates. The promising menu with many breakfast options sounded promising. The reality was different. There was a wide gap between price and performance. Our company was all more than disappointed. After such a long wait, such a disappointment. And it started to dawn on me why we stopped eating breakfast there about 7 years ago. We ordered time food once during the pandemic, also disappointing. I wanted to try it again for our current two events. Top location, ambience good so far and the new menu reads very well. However, both events this weekend were again disappointing and we will not be returning. And what's probably worse, we will also share our opinion with others and nothing is worse than bad word of mouth... The breakfast menu should be reduced in size and revised. Check out other stores and the way they serve. Steal ideas because that's how the store goes to hell. It's not without reason that staff get so sick so quickly... Gastronomy is becoming increasingly difficult. Finding and keeping good staff too. But you can't do without it! I know very well what I'm talking about, I'm a trained hotel manager myself, trained in Berlin. However, he quickly switched to another professional field. Thanks Samuel...for ripping it out☺️🔆

Good food for not too much money

Nice location for family celebrations, it's a shame that there is no parking directly.

We were there for the first time on Easter Sunday, 5 people and 3 dogs. We were registered for the buffet and had a table where we all had enough space and the dogs weren't in anyone's way. The service staff were very friendly and gave the dogs a bowl of water straight away. However, the employees cannot cope with the large number of guests. The buffet was not refilled in a timely manner and unfortunately we stood in front of empty containers for a long time. The quality was okay so far, although baked rolls don't necessarily belong on a good buffet and the orange juice wasn't juice, but rather a watered down orange juice drink due to the ice. Unfortunately, the noise level in the restaurant is very high.

I also can't understand the negative reviews. I had booked a table in advance for 6 people (including a 6 year old child) last Saturday. We were welcomed very nicely. A painting pad and pencils were immediately brought for the child. Drinks and food arrived after not a long wait. Everything was super tasty. Four fish fingers were even brought for the child. We had a lovely time in the Greifswalder Logenhaus and would love to come back when we are in Greifswald again.

We had buffet Food was replenished sparsely or not at all. And it took a long time until a condition came and took our drinks order. Food was OK, nothing more, nothing less.

Good restaurant with very good, service-oriented staff. Like years ago, the ambience is still dignified and ok. The service staff are very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. The range of cakes and food is sufficient and good. Drinks are ok. Had coffee and cake there. Can be recommended. The prices are measured. All in all it was a successful afternoon.

Wir waren mit Familie und Freunden auf Grund einer kleinen Geburtstagsfeier zum Mittagessen. Die Vorspeisen waren einigermaßen okay, die Hauptgerichte eine Katastrophe. Das Zandergericht war schon mal nicht zu bekommen. Okay, nehmen wir Fischesser Scholle mit Bratkartoffeln und Gurkensalat. Es war der größte Reinfall den wir erlebt haben seit wir Restaurants besuchen und das sind nicht wenige im Jahr. Die Bratkartoffeln waren durchweg auf allen Tellern gleichmäßig verbrannt, der Gurkensalat war nicht nur von der Menge her lächerlich ( ca.1 Esslöffel) er war auch nur mit Pfeffer gewürzt was demzufolge uns den Rest an Appetit nahm. Als ich den Kellner auf die Bratkartoffeln ansprach meinte er nur, es wären ja Bratkartoffeln. Zumindest waren die Fleischesser einigermaßen zufrieden wenn man von den Bratkartoffeln absieht. Das einzige was wir nicht zu beanstanden hatten war, das kleine Dessert zum Schluss denn da gab es nichts zu versauen, da es ja bereits Fertigprodukte waren.

The 🍺 had no CO2.......... In Germany......... And then the Manager expleined me that Calsberg bier without CO2 tasted better..........

Beautifully located on the edge of the city center and easily accessible on foot after a day of sightseeing. The food is delicious and plentiful.

Had brunch there today with our family and our 2.5 year old daughter. We actually always liked going there, but today the etiquette was impossible. Children are probably not very welcome guests there, at least not small children.

The service at the table was very good and the food was good as always. We actually always have breakfast here. But today the way we were treated by the boss was bottom drawer. Toys are set up but are not allowed to be used. The other guests would feel disturbed, even though we asked, it wasn't a problem for the guests. After all, they are not a children's playground but a restaurant. That wasn't the problem and we are well aware of it. Then I ask myself why something is put there. We asked if we could take the toys with us to the table, then there wouldn't have been any problems, and this suggestion wasn't agreed to. Our accompanying child was very calm and didn't cause any problems, just wanted to play. I'm really appalled by this approach and we were customers there for a long time. The sound makes the music.

Canteen food with mediocre service. When you enter the restaurant you are greeted by an unpleasant smell. The ventilation system urgently needs to be reworked.

The food was served too slowly. I placed my order at 20:00, but now it’s 21:30 and the food has not been served. I can't believe I've been waiting here for 90 minutes.

The cook probably didn't want to work during the weekend or only gets minimum wage for his work. The food in the evening reminded me very much of my previous school meals!!! I don't think it could be more sweet or tasteless. I don't know what other people call good food... As a chef, I can only say it's a disaster for a restaurant!!! Food looked as if it had been in the warming box for a slightly longer wait! A no go for someone who can cook. What surprised me was that the restaurant was fully booked except for my table for two. If the food is like this every day... What kind of food culture do the people who make reservations there have?

A really great restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Spontaneously going out to eat always shows me how good a restaurant is. It is definitely the log house! Good selection of food that is freshly prepared. You're happy to accept a little waiting time = fresh and tasty. Breakfast there is also highly recommended. Very nice service. A visit is therefore always worth it. "Mega Restaurant"!!!

A nice place to have breakfast. The offering is varied, but I find the toppings in some breakfast portions to be too limited. E.g. a small piece of butter for a very large roll. You have to order more and of course pay extra. But overall recommended.

I liked it very much. The salmon cream soup was very tasty and my “Hawaii” schnitzel also tasted great. We were served very nicely and I thought the atmosphere was nice.

The food was great. We each had a burger with fries. We were there both evenings without a reservation. The service was super nice and we got our drinks quickly. Toilets were also clean.

We were here on September 14th. We received a very friendly welcome and were even given a nice seat, even though the restaurant was already fully booked. The service was quick and attentive and the food was delicious. The portions and prices are reasonable. We can recommend the Greifswalder Logenhaus!

When I visit Greifswald, I always like to come here for dinner. Good value for money, nice atmosphere (in summer you can sit outside well away from the street noise), staff have always been friendly. I'd love to come back.

Had a very tasty meal here. The service was quick and friendly. We can happily recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back again.

Food is nothing special but okay for the price. There is a great play area for children where our 3 year old can entertain himself for an hour alone. But even if you don't want to be surrounded by children, the restaurant is big enough. Nice staff, good outdoor area. There are also extra rooms for private parties.

Unfortunately more of a disappointment. On the first visit I had a vegetable stir fry and on the second visit I had one of the bowls. Both were only “okay” in terms of quantity and mediocre at best in terms of taste. The vegetables were soft and not crunchy or anything like that. The garlic bread that came with the bowl was definitely not fresh and tasted like it was at least a day or two old. The prices are correspondingly too high. The service is relatively slow and you sometimes have to wait 15 minutes for drinks to be taken. The tables and chairs outside are very much in love and some of them have broken backrests. The only positive thing is the relatively nice location that invites you to linger. In my opinion, you could do a lot more there, especially because there are few good alternatives in the city center.

Unfortunately the food does not correspond to the price category. A small salad with iceberg lettuce is a no-go for a proper restaurant. Breading of the schnitzel is rather an imposition. In the future, please pay attention to quality when choosing ingredients. 3/4 hour with 8 occupied tables isn't possible either. Service who sees empty glasses goes to the guest and asks if there is anything else...

The restaurant impresses with its friendly service, which is always friendly and attentive. However, despite efforts to convey a sophisticated impression through a sophisticated menu, the quality of the food remains disappointing and fails to live up to high expectations. There is clearly room for improvement here to adapt the culinary experience to the higher standards of the menu.

The service was very friendly and always on the ball without being intrusive. Everyone can find something to eat on the menu and we were very satisfied. It's very comfortable to sit inside and outside. The price is okay too. I'd love to come back.
