A pleasant atmosphere on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. The food was also surprisingly good. We had panfish and marinated herring. Gosch is always a good place to go in Scharbeutz.

Totally overrated! We had fried fish with fried potatoes. It wasn't really tasty! And the service isn't there either. High prices and poor quality

I can't say anything about the place other than that I took a quick look inside, but I've never eaten such a carelessly thrown-together crab sandwich! Inexpensive 🤔, yeah. Sorry, but it was disappointing.

Very unfriendly staff at the food ordering and serving counters. After politely inquiring about the availability of a dish, an older gentleman with thinning hair told me in a gruff tone that they didn't have such a thing here. But he continued to show his unfriendliness on my next visit, which he apparently always tries to garnish with witty remarks. We could learn a lesson from other Gosch restaurants here. They know what hospitality means.

A classic that will not disappoint. Friendly service, despite the fact that they changed my order, they solved everything without a problem.

This time I was very disappointed, I felt like I was in a fast food restaurant and the food was very tasteless! Pick it up yourself, even at McDonald's, and the food will be brought to you if you want it. It's just mass processing. And that for Gosch won't be coming back any time soon

Gosch in Scharbeutz is an absolute must for anyone who loves fresh seafood and a relaxed atmosphere! The restaurant offers a wonderful selection of seafood dishes that are simply delicious. Particularly recommended is the freshly caught fish, which is perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The location right on the beach creates a great ambience and you can hear the waves crashing while you eat. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The decor is maritime and cozy, ideal for a relaxing evening with friends or family. The drinks selection is also excellent, with a great selection of wines and regional beers. Overall, I can only recommend Gosch in Scharbeutz. Here quality meets a wonderful atmosphere, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

It's great to sit outside with a view of the sea and the beach. But it's always well attended. Food is very good. However, like everywhere else in Scharbeutz and the Baltic Sea, the prices are quite high

I like to eat the fish soup at Gosch. Yesterday here in Scharbeutz, however, totally disappointed. Some salmon, 1 crab, 5 pieces of vegetables. Otherwise just hot water with no taste. An absolute disgrace!

Fish rolls, especially fried fish, are not really tasty. Here they tend to sell mass-produced frozen food, and there isn't even a leaf of lettuce in the roll. It's a shame, shouldn't the name Gosch stand for quality? At least not here.

4 stars because you can happily stay here for hours with a great sea view. Unfortunately, the food is insignificant and carelessly prepared. The fish sandwiches are even more so, because they are full of boredom. It is incomprehensible that more quality and finesse is not possible at these prices.

My absolute favorite place in Scharbeutz. Excellent service and always friendly service! Above all, Hamid is the employee of the heart, always very friendly and accommodating.

We love to go to Gosch whenever we are in Scharbeutz, Timmedorf Strand or Sylt, Germany. I think they have really good seafood. The seafood tastes fresh and the portion sizes are great.

You stand at the counter, the employee sees you, no "Hello", no "Hello!"... Just goes into the kitchen. You can at least just say “One moment please.” The guest is simply ignored. Simply outrageous! Then I just left again. Don't wait 10 minutes for someone to take care of me when the mood strikes. Just shake your head. Never again!!!

In my opinion, Gosch stands for consistently good quality at reasonable prices. This also applies to the restaurant in Scharbeutz. In any case, we ate very well there.

Pure holiday feeling. Eat delicious fish and a glass of wine with it. What more could you want? I like the concept. Self-service is totally ok!! It is then cleared away by very nice and attentive staff. Here in Scharbeutz the view of the Baltic Sea is simply wonderful!

The quality is really like on Sylt. All very tasty. We had zander fillet with shrimp and fried potatoes as well as a large portion of shrimp with baguette bread and garlic sauce. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back! Absolutely recommended.

The fish was really tasty and freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the bones of the fillet were not removed completely cleanly, which somewhat spoiled the enjoyment. I was also disappointed that the fried potatoes contained bacon - this wasn't clearly stated on the menu. Bacon is not always allowed to be eaten for religious, allergic reasons or simply personal preference, which is why clear labeling on the menu is particularly important here. In a restaurant like Gosch, which stands for quality, I expect a precise declaration of the dishes in 2025 in order to prevent such misunderstandings. This should be clearly visible not only when ordering, but also on the menu.”

The food is delicious, but unfortunately the store is totally overhyped. This is how I imagine a vacation on Sylt 🙈

We were there last weekend and ate fish sandwiches and my salmon sandwich was bad and I felt really bad in the evening/night. The fish wasn't on ice in the counter either, so I won't eat it again.

Highly recommended, we really enjoyed every evening, whether it was high-priced drinks or just a beer and a fish sandwich.

Scharbeutz is always worth a visit, and Gosch is an absolute must. Thanks to the entire team, it was a celebration for us.

Nice ambience. Service is only available for clearing away, which they do very well and quickly. Otherwise, you pick up your food and drinks yourself at the respective counters. Outside you can have a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. The food is good...

Food is good. What is very annoying are the many dogs inside. It's constantly yapping and it smells like a wet dog, which makes you lose your appetite. It would be nice if there was a separate area for dogs.

Yesterday I had dinner in a restaurant with my girlfriend. The dish was very tasty. Shrimp with stir-fried vegetables. Only one incident put me in a bad mood. When you ordered drinks, a waiter and a waitress stood at the counter. The Lord kindly asked me what I would like and I answered him. Suddenly the saleswoman pointed out to me in a cheeky way that there was a snake. The single woman standing in line said understandingly that she didn't mind me ordering something. I actually didn't mind standing in line. Just not in such a NAUGHTY way like the woman waitress said!!! The gentleman at the counter was also a little surprised. We all were. So you have to teach some waiters/salespeople to be polite.

The herring fillet was good, but the side dishes were very heavy on the stomach. One waitress wasn't very friendly, one was. The ambience was nice. I found the prices high for what was on offer

Self-service restaurant and very busy, therefore very loud and busy. The food has a good selection and taste. This is more about getting together and drinking wine than just going out for a meal. The distribution of drinks and food is quick, friendly and routine.

Are at Gosch today on February 14th, 2025. The service behind the counter is unfriendly, doesn't really listen and can't or doesn't even want to smile. Just sad and probably not her dream job.

The bad rating comes from the fact that there were simply too many dogs in the restaurant (02/07/25). A wet dog smells and the barking is annoying. Not to mention visitors who have dog allergies. The food was good, but I lose my appetite when a table-high dog shakes itself next to my plate. No thanks.

We visited Gosch Restaurant yesterday and had a mixed experience. The prawn portion was really tasty and well prepared. Unfortunately, the pesto spaghetti wasn't convincing at all - it tasted like ready-made pesto, and for almost €19 we would definitely have expected fresh ingredients. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. There is also no service - you have to get everything yourself, from cutlery to napkins to food. We would have expected a little more for the prices quoted. Overall, a rather disappointing visit, we wouldn't come back again.

We ate on site. The food was super tasty. It's been a long time since I've been able to eat such good food. (Delicious fish plate + king prawns & scallops) Unfortunately, the kitchen is so visible and audible that you can hear the Arabic of the employees. The service staff also speaks Arabic among themselves within earshot of the guests. We found this very unpleasant. Furthermore, the kitchen staff was seen with cell phones in their possessions.

Went there again for a fish sandwich. Fried herring, fried fish and herring. Fish was delicious, rolls were perfect. Very friendly when you order onions. Have improved very well.

Great Gosch right on the beach. The food is really tasty and at reasonable prices. Baked fish with potato salad for just 10.50 euros is more than fair. Full 5 stars and clear recommendation.

Very nice restaurant. When we are nearby from Dortmund, we like to come over for dinner. Food A+ and the portion sizes are good.

The food tasted very good. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was well attended and we were lucky to get a seat. Due to the damp weather we sat inside. There is covered seating outside with a view of the Baltic Sea. It's all self-service.

Fish restaurant with bar and ToGo offers. Rustic atmosphere, covered patio right on the beach. Self-service in the restaurant and outside, including drinks, which is not reflected in the price. The employees are friendly and the food is prepared quickly thanks to the pure system catering. Recommended.

It doesn't always have to be fish. The rice pudding with cinnamon and sugar tastes great.

It's really nice here, it's good to sit, we like being outside. The food and the processes are just as good as everywhere else at Gosch. It's in a really nice location with a view of the water.

Nice atmosphere. We were there in November. Every now and then a cold gust of wind came into the seating area. A few infrared rays didn't work. Unfortunately the mulled wine was empty but the hot chocolate with a shot was delicious. I would go there again.
