Gosch in Heiligenhafen is definitely worth a visit if you're craving fresh fish and a maritime flair. The location right on the water is fantastic – you can sit relaxed with a view of the harbor and really enjoy the atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the shrimp and fried fish. The selection of drinks and small snacks is also good. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but they're absolutely reasonable for the quality and the location. The service was friendly and prompt, even though it was busy. The only small drawback: when it's very busy, it can get a bit hectic, and you sometimes have to wait for a seat. Overall, a great place for a culinary stopover on the Baltic Sea – uncomplicated, delicious, and with a real holiday feeling!

The food was better. An experience in itself thanks to the Azs assistants. A very big compliment to the lady at the outdoor serving area. Great effort and still keeping calm. hats off

It's self-service here. Food and drinks must be ordered at different stations. The fried fish roll with remoulade was freshly prepared, but was very bland. Simply put the fried fish in a bun smeared with tartar sauce. Not a lettuce leaf underneath, nothing. Things were different at Gosch in St. Peter Ording. That's €6.50 for that.... The gentleman at the counter wasn't really that friendly either. And it was still early, right after opening, so no overload yet. Completely different with the drinks. Totally nice, friendly, in a good mood, with nice sayings that shortened the waiting time for the coffee. Class!!! By the way, next door is Giovanni L - if there's still room for an ice cream.

Appealing from the outside but unfortunately the rest is not at all. Ordering has to be done directly at the entrance, annoying. You have to bring your own food. Unfortunately my food was cold and didn't taste like anything, salt and pepper didn't help either. The others thought their food was “OK”. Price, well. There was nothing going on at lunchtime. But maybe only tourists go in?

Unfortunately, this Gosch has something of a hall. Personally, I find it uncomfortable. The food tastes good, but I have the feeling that the prices are getting higher but the portions are smaller.

The last time we ate at Gosch. Service is nil, more like a fast food restaurant... To be greeted with salamali as a guest in such a highly advertised shop is not worthy of a gosch... The pike perch fillet was pretty bland, had no taste and was relatively dry. The fried potatoes, on the other hand, were completely over-seasoned. The toilets weren't clean either

The food was, as always, super delicious. We had Thai noodles and pan fish. The children's nuggets with fries. There is a high-quality selection of toys and books for the children. Unfortunately, during our visit it took almost 45 minutes until we had our food

Incredibly bad service. Six of us come to dinner with our parents and in-laws. We torture ourselves with crutches despite the accident to the table and choose dishes on the menu. When ordering I was told the kitchen had been closed for 2 minutes. No apology, just the statement “what can I do about it?” Do not prepare any advance notice at the table that the kitchen is about to close. And the store was still open for over an hour. No apology from the staff. Never again

To this day, Gosch has stood for exclusive food for me. We came here with exactly this expectation. However, we were completely disappointed. The food was mostly frozen. The salad, prepared without love, was just a finished product.

If you want to stay for a small or large snack, this is simply awesome, beautiful view of the sailing harbor.

We always enjoy coming back with our grandchildren. Here I know what to expect...pasta in tomato sauce for child number 1 Fish fingers with fries for child number 2... I'm not expecting a culinary highlight. The redfish fillet was delicious, glassy...potato salad as always... Mo was, as always, in a good mood...so "never change a running system" So I expect it again in July....😂👍 If I wanted culinary delights, I would go to a star restaurant and not to the "Allrounder Gosch"

Today we bought fish sandwiches from Gosch. Consume later in the evening. Better priced than in town and tastes absolutely delicious! Conclusion: Gosch does not always have to be more expensive. Also really nice service staff. We'd love to come back!

Update, I had read all the reviews and was very surprised at what everyone was saying. We are very satisfied and the portions are as always!!! Heiligenhofen now for the 2nd time. Heiligenhafen is one of the most beautiful Gosch restaurants. We love GOSCH! In Heiligenhafen for the first time. Everything was super clean, great location. Wir kennen Gosch seit der Eröffnung in Heiligenhafen. Zuerst war es eine Bereicherung. Nun ist die Qualität auf ein Mittelmaß abgerutscht. Sowohl die Qualität, die Mengen und die Optik entsprechen eher einen Kantinen Essen. Die Preise sind natürlich gestiegen, was man zum Teil verstehen kann. Dazu kommt aber dass die Mengen auf den Teller auch noch kleiner geworden sind. Keine Empfehlung mehr in Heiligenhafen. Man kann Fisch besser essen.

The perfect oyster! Not only on Sylt, you can also enjoy one of the best oysters at Gosch in Heiligenhafen. We started with an oyster platter (large oysters, not sandy and released - simply perfect!) and continued with a delicious summer salad containing 3 pieces of fish. The atmosphere is relaxed and you have to order your food and drinks at the bar. The service at the bar was very friendly and supportive but the clean up of the table went not so good. But in general a good (fast food) restaurant to have a delicious meal.

Unfortunately, today was the first time we had to experience such an unfriendly comment from a "service manager" towards dogs.... Our dog does not comply with the hygiene regulations and is therefore not allowed to sit on our lap.

Had dinner there the first evening! Horrible! I wouldn't even give one star for the food! Baked fish was good and cheap frozen food, fried potatoes were completely burnt. If I'm a fish restaurant, then as a guest you look forward to freshly made fish. In the snack stalls around you can even get fresh, homemade fried fish and it's even cheaper. So we won't eat there again.

Expectations and results were far apart. Two fish dishes that both tasted of the same fat. The taste of fish was not identifiable as fish. Fried potatoes also tasted of this fat. But at least they were crispy. Conclusion for us: a unique "pleasure" You certainly won't see us in the restaurant again.

The fried potatoes with the fried fish were in the fat for far too long, half were black and inedible! When the chef was approached at the counter and shown the results of his “arts”, he was unfortunately unreasonable. Too bad!

The fish sandwiches there are really meticulously prepared. Getting extra onion rings on a fried fish roll is an insurmountable challenge for the strong man at the checkout. The remoulade spread resembles a mealworm. This needs extreme improvement!

Beautiful Gosch with a nice view of the water, unfortunately it is always very crowded and therefore noisy there. Unfortunately, the portions are also smaller for the same price.

I had the dish “Now it’s getting mussy” And it did. Almost 750g of mussels await you cooked in white wine or tomato sauce. My choice fell on white wine. Maybe romantically enjoy for 2 people it's really a lot and a pleasure. Very nice staff. But everything is self-service.

A typical Gosch, as we know it from other cities. Of course it's always full, but you can usually still get a spot. The fish is fresh, although the portions seemed larger to me... Unlike other places, there is no fish to choose from. My plaice was a bit sober, but there is salt available. All in all it was good again!

Absolutely aimed at tourists. We waited forever for the order, after an hour of asking my husband was not taken seriously and brushed off in an unfriendly manner, we had to be patient. After another 30 minutes we asked again because the same order had now arrived at the next table, even though the people had come after us. Suddenly our order was no longer there. We had to be patient a little longer, but then we left the restaurant and had our money returned. Otherwise, there are a lot of dishes there that you just throw into the deep fryer, but are clearly too expensive for that.

The food was very tasty, it's actually a fast food restaurant and great. The service is really good, plates are cleared, the table is wiped immediately 👍. It's actually a large hall, but it's really nicely laid out, you can sit great with a great view of the marina and Graswarder 😃

I don't rate service because you have to do everything yourself. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. When it is full, the volume level is very high. You're welcome to pop in for a drink in between, but if you want to eat comfortably, we personally think it's too busy and too expensive considering you have to do everything yourself.

Since Gosch has been in Heiligenhafen, we have been there more often and with different friends. The quality of the food, the service and the ambience are great as usual.

Update 02.2025 Everything was great again today. Fish salad fried potatoes everything on point. Staff very friendly today. Gosch Heiligenhafen is super good. Nice team everywhere at the stations. The service team was very attentive. The kitchen team was super positive. The food is amazing. Fresh and delicious on the table. I also think it's great that the dog is allowed in.

Hello, unfortunately the food was absolutely not tasty and matched the price. The fried potatoes were cold, as was the plaice fillet, which was also still cooked. All in all a disaster...not recommended. We have already been to other Gosch Sylt restaurants and it was much better...the service at the order counter was unfortunately not able to communicate properly in German...

Once a gosh, always a gosh. Ambience, quality and freshness are also at the top here. The fact that when there is a lot of hectic and hustle and bustle the fish at the outside counter is a little slanted in the roll and the tartar sauce is not placed in the middle may bother some people, but we found the friendly words of the staff more important. Inside, the background noise is a little louder than you would expect from Sylt or Travemünde, for example. This seems to be due to the construction and furnishings. The food was fresh and delicious as in all Gosch restaurants.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is no longer as good as it was, housewife-style matjes fillet is much too expensive and you can get better and cheaper somewhere else. Baked fish with fried potatoes is no longer as good as it was a year ago. Staff friendly. Ambience is still the best. For us we first take a break at Gosch Heiligenhafen.

Wir waren mal große Gosch-Fans, die Zeiten sind aber längst vorbei aufgrund einer Enttäuschung nach der anderen, egal welches Restaurant wir besucht haben. Das Ambiente ist klasse, der Rest nicht: Bratkartoffeln viel zu fett und zu grob geschnitten, der Fisch war totgebraten, das Personal arbeitet nach einem festen Schema ohne wirklich zu wissen, was sie tun, Hauptsache schnell. Nebenbei scheint beim männlichen Personal ein schwarzer Vollbart mit finsterem Blick zum Einstellungskriterium zu gehören. Wir gehen jedenfalls nicht mehr hin.

Food was okay, but really not a highlight. Baked fish that is simply thawed and fried straight out of the freezer is really disappointing. You can get better fried fish at every fair. The pan fish was very good. I can't rate the service because it's self-service.

Youth hostel 2.0! Poor Germany, The friendliness of some of the employees when serving food needs improvement. He obviously didn't take his courtesy drops today. Given the prices, I find it questionable to queue for food and drinks! Furthermore, the beeping of the pick-up transmitters is an imposition! This is how you ruin supposedly good names.

The fine fish plate had a burnt taste throughout. The share of fish for 25.50 euros was manageable. The currywurst was good. There are better restaurants in Heiligenhafen, even with service.

Chic building, inside and out, in a prime location. There was basically no service as it was self-service. The food was overpriced; especially the "gourmet plate", where the amount of fish could have been a little more for the price. Unfortunately the Thai noodles were not warm enough. Overall, the food was tasty.

Good food, Gosch. As always, very good. What is not possible is the request at the EC terminal to give a tip. For what? You choose a table yourself, order at the counter yourself and get your own drinks and food. Tips have to be earned! This is a mockery for everyone who serves in the catering industry, because serving is strenuous and that doesn't exist here. Unfortunately, the store is also the disappointment of our short vacation. It's closed on Mondays AND Tuesdays. What's that supposed to mean? This is really bad.

Nach einem Abendspaziergang mit reichlich kalter Luft und knurrenden Mägen wollten wir einfach noch was essen, damit die Küche zuhause kalt bleibt... Wir sind zum ersten Mal bei Gosch in Heiligenhafen! Verwirrend das Bestellsystem! Essen bestellen am Tresen und Getränke an der Bar.... seltsam..... (Wo ist der Tresen? Hab mal beim Nachbartisch nachgefragt) OK! Erst mal Getränke aussuchen.... (Ganz schön teuer für n Alster 0,4 = 4,90 € und ne Tasse Glühwein 4,00 €) Dann Essen aussuchen... Wir entschieden uns für 1x Nordseescholle (an der Ostsee) Finkenwerder Art mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat und 1x Edelfischpfanne vom Grill mit Bratkartoffeln und Saucen. Jetzt läufst du erstmal an den Tresen (Essen) weil der Pieper piepst.... und jonglierst das Tablett an den Tisch und anschließend an die Bar zum bestellen und abholen der Getränke! Soweit so gut! Kritik 1 Edelfischpfanne: Fisch war niemals auf dem Grill sondern in der Pfanne!!! Gegrillter Fisch sieht oberflächlich anders aus! Bratkartoffeln nur lauwarm! Dafür 25.50 € ist absolut zu viel!!! Kritik 2 Nordseescholle Finkenwerder Art: Im großen und ganzen ganz ok! Große Scholle, Speck und ne Menge Grünzeug.... ABER..... Die Bratkartoffeln waren ebenfalls nur lauwarm und dafür... 26.90 €!!! Naja... zwar nicht günstig, aber es ging. Das ganze Abendessen kostete uns 61,30 € Ich denke, mal reinsitzen und was trinken bei der tollen Aussicht ist ok, aber essen werden wir dort bestimmt nicht mehr.

Coincidence exists. GOSCH Sylt, in our second Gosch we came here by chance (a month ago we were in Gosch Flensburg). It is self-service here, you order and receive a shiver, you also order drinks at another bar. The food was fine again. It was busy and a German couple asked if they could sit with us at a four-person table. Glad I said yes because it was a very pleasant evening, albeit a bit late for me. Around nine o'clock some tables were moved and a DJ arrived. It lasted a long time. Nice, thanks!

It's good to sit there. No service at the tables. But friendly staff at the stations. Food is good, but portions are manageable. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, even with children.

So far it's not bad, but anyone who expects a lot here will be disappointed. Baked fish is a frozen product that you can put in the oven yourself at home. The Rösti are also a frozen product that can be found everywhere in the supermarket. The large portion of shrimp is enough for lunch but not as a dish costing over €20. It's a shame because the ambience and location are great, but you still expect more from the name Gosch. A few meters further you can get the dishes and quality that you expect by the sea.

I actually like being here. But today it was just too cold outside. - Unfortunately, at our request, the heating lamps were not turned on. In terms of food and service, this is by far the best Gosch restaurant we have come across. On the one hand, we were very impressed by the flexibility of the kitchen to respond to customer requests and the wonderful and friendly approach of the great team. After there were no shrimp rolls in the fish hall, we went to Gosch. The crab roll, which cost around €9, was ordered full of joy and anticipation. What you got was a three-times baked, bone-dry, carelessly smeared, unsightly and tasteless roll with a handful of crabs and a touch of tartar sauce. It's better to walk 500m up the promenade and get a sandwich there, as you'll also get something for the eyes. As carelessly as the rolls are presented in the drawer, they also taste good. Then it's better to make it yourself with ingredients from Rewe or something like that. You get more for your money.
