Very friendly staff, would love to come back.

After being a bit disappointed last year, it was really delicious this time! Update 2025: Rather simple food. It's okay. Unfortunately, it's no longer open every day.

Everything is self-service, but they ask for a tip right at the card terminal – just my kind of humor. They have enough staff for regular table service. We only had drinks, so I can't comment on the food quality.

Service is self-service...but it's perfectly fine...and it's absolutely beautiful there. If you want to eat there, you should arrive early, as it's always very busy.

A very well-maintained restaurant in a prime location at the Heiligenhafen marina. The service is genuinely friendly and fast. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. There's plenty of seating, although it can get a bit crowded in the summer. It can be a little noisy when it's busy, but it's bearable – after all, it's not a place to sleep. Gosch Heiligenhafen is always a great choice for delicious seafood. Giovanni L., just outside, has delicious ice cream. If you're looking for more, you can simply walk to the pier afterwards. There are plenty of dessert options on both sides.

The food was good. It's self-service, but there were no long waits. The ambiance is appropriate for the location.

Practical and good, and the price-performance ratio is okay, even for the wine. The grilled fish came from a pan, but no matter, the main thing is that it was delicious. Friendly, efficient, short wait. Would gladly come again!

The food tastes very good. We always enjoy coming here.

To go > Grilled shrimp = tasty, soggy salad, no baguettes, wrong sauce. The photo on the menu is very different from what was delivered. Disappointing.

We ate here twice during our vacation. The food was delicious, the staff was great, and everyone was very child-friendly. Special requests were also accommodated. We'll be back 🙂

The staff was friendly, but the food was poor. The fish, which was certainly fresh, died in the pan for the second time, and the fried potatoes were mushy. The same tragedy on all five plates.

Anyone who knows Gosch knows how it works. A nice, maritime-style restaurant, usually near the water. Self-service at the counter. If you like a cozy, maritime atmosphere, this is the place for you. The price-performance ratio is a bit too high for me personally, as there's no waiter service and you have to walk in yourself. Otherwise, I'd love to come back, especially when it's mussel season.

A typical pub, a bit cramped and dark inside. Good, but not a standout.

Anyone who enjoys fish will be in good hands here; everything tastes delicious. A must-visit when in Heiligenhafen. A great place for the palate.

The food is delicious, and you know what you're getting. I sometimes find the prices too high. The service is okay, but plates, glasses, etc., were always cleared away as soon as something was empty, and the table was cleaned while we were still drinking, so we were clearly signaled to clear the table for other guests – which we find unfriendly. We actually wanted to have another drink, but decided against it.

Pleasant restaurant on the harbor, with a covered terrace that's convenient in windy weather. Order at the counter (food on one side and drinks on the other). A timer indicates when your order is ready. Good fish/shellfish cuisine, reasonable prices.

We ate the most unloving fish sandwiches ever there yesterday. A dry roll, herring or salmon, and a slice of onion rings. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right at all.

Very tasty and friendly staff, especially the blonde young lady selling fish sandwiches who is very dedicated to her job. With her friendly demeanor and radiant smile, you'll want to come back for a fish sandwich more often! The other employees also seem friendly and always have a smile on their faces. A very nice restaurant. Highly recommended to everyone!

I did not like the price and performance of the dishes

We only went outside to eat a fish sandwich and enjoy a soda or a Flens beer. The atmosphere was nice, but the fish sandwiches were cheap, albeit with acceptable ingredients. The price/performance ratio was still okay. We expected more from the name. But the restrooms inside were clean.

We ordered two fried fish sandwiches. They were pretty good. The service was nice and friendly.

The food can really be recommended

We know Gosch from the island of Sylt, so we were happy to find the restaurant here in Heiligenhafen. The quality and service are just as excellent here. Very tasty, and the prices reflect the quality, but also higher. We highly recommend it.

People who enjoy fish and seafood of all kinds will find paradise here. There are all imaginable variations of these dishes, deliciously presented and in abundance. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to customers, which isn't the case everywhere these days... However, you should also be aware that this is a self-service restaurant with a difference: First, you go to the food counter and order what you want. You pay (the usual, reasonable prices for the area) and receive a pager that lets you know when your order is ready. While you wait, you can buy your desired drinks at the bar on the other side of the restaurant and bring them to your table. Flensburger Pils is being tapped; it goes particularly well with the landscape and the fish... ;) The food is ready quickly and tastes really good. We especially recommend the shrimp platter... However, we'd also like to add a small drop of vermouth, because what Gosch offers as "fish and chips" has absolutely nothing to do with the dish of the same name that we're very familiar with from England. It's more like kibbelinge, but nowhere near as tasty or plentiful as what we're used to from our Dutch neighbors. So you'd better order something else, which – as far as we can tell – is all absolutely excellent: mussels, crab, simply different types of fish, and so on. They even have oysters like in France, fantastic!

We had two fish sandwiches to go. Super friendly service, a crispy sandwich with two large herring fillets (very tasty!), and the price was right. Compared to other places, it was quite reasonable.

I ate Sylt mussels in white wine sauce on September 2nd. They were the best mussels I've ever eaten! ...and I've eaten a lot of mussels in my 60 years of life.

Absolutely recommended. Great value for money!

The fish soup was a thin slop with tiny, drained pieces of fish. The highlight was some crunchy vegetables.

Overpriced chip shop with ambience

The food wasn't that good—except for the Thai penne with crayfish the day before. However, I have an intolerance to "anything with onions," and they always put spring onions on their dishes—I always have to cancel. I had spaghetti with salmon, sauce, and broccoli—my goodness, 3 small broccoli—that was very little—I thought €19.90 was unreasonable.

A very large, modern restaurant in a great location overlooking the marina. Food and drinks are self-service, with waiters clearing the tables. The staff sometimes had significant language difficulties when clarifying something. The portions were very modest, not for those with a great appetite or thirst. You pay a lot for the name here. We had a summer salad (22.50) and herring on black bread, traditionally served (12).

The fish was well fried and nicely presented, as we expect from Gosch.

The ambiance is fantastic, and the food tastes absolutely fantastic. Overall, the place is truly top-notch.

We love Gosch. No matter where we are and there's a Gosch, we're there. This time we got herring rolls, which were super delicious, and some herring and crayfish to take home. Both were incredibly delicious, too! Looking forward to the next time, maybe in Hamburg ;)

Well-thought-out catering system. Unfortunately, the fish was cooked too long.

We were disappointed. The salmon fillet with spaghetti was a disappointment. The small piece of fish was served on the side, but it came with a large portion of spaghetti that lacked flavor. There was no pepper or salt on the tables. The mussels were good, but the broth was unfortunately far too lightly seasoned, even though we had requested extra seasoning when ordering. The staff were friendly, but not interested in whether you liked the food or not. The service was poor; it was self-service. The waiters just cleared the tables.

We were here with two families, and we were thrilled. The food was amazing, and the way the plates were presented was simply superb. The service was also excellent, friendly, and nice. Would recommend.

It's a shame, many of the reviews here express a lot of opinion with little knowledge. The food is delicious, and the value for money, both at Gosch and in Heiligenhafen in general, is very good. Compared to the prices charged these days in German coastal areas. The staff at Gosch is super friendly. However, you shouldn't expect any help with ordering from the clearing staff. That's not their job. I have no idea what people's expectations are. Anyone demanding "haute cuisine" should perhaps try their luck on Sylt. But be careful, it could get expensive.

A food disaster. The sea is about 4 meters away, and you get it as fried fish. A bucket of potato salad and breading with some fish.

Great shop, in a great location and great service

We ate here on a sunny day and were thrilled with the overall experience. The food (breaded fish with fried potatoes & pasta with salmon) was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious – the portions were just right, too. The drinks were also a highlight – refreshing and attractively served. 🥂 The fantastic view of the marina is particularly noteworthy – a real holiday feeling in the midst of everyday life! Although it's self-service, everything feels very organized, clean, and high-quality. The concept works well, and you still feel comfortable and welcome. If you want to enjoy good food in a relaxed atmosphere with a great view, this is the place for you. We'd love to come back! ☀️🛥️⛱️

Unfortunately, no crayfish were served; instead, shrimp were served without warning. The second dish only included four shrimp, even though the sample picture showed seven. One dish was completely missing a side salad. The fish and portions were unfortunately too small for the price.

Food and service were abysmal! The fish platters were meager and tasted subpar. We were sitting outside under the roof in heavy rain when the roof suddenly opened. We and about 30 other people fled with our food to the main building, where, despite having free seats, we were denied seating because they were reserved. Unbelievable, no attempt was made to find a solution. Conclusion: never again Gosch! There are many great fish restaurants along the coast that impress with their quality and service, and are often cheaper...

We've rarely experienced a restaurant with so many friendly service staff. The food was also perfect for us!

The restaurant is located directly on the marina and has an outdoor terrace. The interior is very spacious and cozy. Typical GOSCH ambiance. Friendly staff, delicious food. Highly recommended.

Just as you'd expect from Gosch. Some of the food is great, others seem a bit overly expensive.

The price doesn't match the food. The quality of the fish was good, but the rest was poor and not good. Therefore, the price-performance ratio wasn't good. The ambiance is great due to the location. The service seems annoyed. You don't feel comfortable. I won't be back unless this changes.

We had fried fish, and I was so disappointed! Frozen fried fish from a bag, I can handle that. And the friendly staff can't help it. No thanks, never again

The fish sandwiches are delicious and the atmosphere is great.

The place is under really bad management, very cheeky and impertinent. The awning was opened in the pouring rain and we were sitting there in the rain with our champagne, including a small child. Eight of us then quickly ran inside because our food was coming and were then attacked so impertinently by the so-called manager. We have been here in the Jagdhafen for 20 years and nothing so impertinent has ever happened to us. We have often heard about it from others but did not believe it, but it is reality. Like many others here, we are always there and not just once. Even with a shortage of staff, something like that is simply not acceptable. That is not Gosch. He and many others will certainly not go there again.

Great ambiance, cute details! Clean and tidy! The service was super friendly and accommodating! 5 stars for that alone. The food was also delicious! We're already looking forward to the next time. I can't understand the negative comments regarding some of the points. I think it's good that dogs aren't allowed at the table. And crispy fries are much tastier than mushy ones. Quality and quantity have declined annually over the years... I can't recommend it anymore... curiously enough, Gosch Bansin still serves decent portions... Heiligenhafen is definitely no longer recommended! Staff very friendly.

The food was excellent. When I asked the employee if you could order via QR code or something, the young man in sweatpants replied: "I didn't understand anything. Go inside. Do it." But whatever. The food and price were excellent.

Gosch is always recommended if you want to eat delicious fish. It's self-service, but that's no problem, and your dog is welcome too 😎

Wonderfully located between the marina and the inland lake. The summer salad with fish, fried herring with fried potatoes, and the gourmet fish platter are highly recommended. Also worth a visit is the house wine, Fruit de Mer.
