Our regular lunch spot with kids. It's quick and delicious. Also great for takeout.

The food is average, meaning it's good. The glasses are filled very generously. Clean, the staff very friendly.

We ordered a fine fish platter, a classic in itself. Unfortunately, our dish was missing salt and pepper. A real shame. It's a self-service restaurant, so service is a side effect. It's interesting to have the option to add a tip to the bill when paying. I would have liked to have seen that in other restaurants where service actively assists guests. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment for us.

See and be seen, like everywhere at Gosch! But also as delicious as everywhere at Gosch! Price/performance: just OK.

We've been coming to Bansin for our May vacation for years and had always looked forward to a visit to Gosch. This time, unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. On May 27, 2025, at around 6:30 p.m., the restaurant was busy but not full. My wife had Gosch-style fried herring, and I ordered wolffish. The fried herring was completely dry under a pile of onion rings. The side dish was supposed to be fried potatoes, but it was actually roughly chopped, fried boiled potatoes. Flavorless; they should have mixed the pile of onions into the potatoes and fried them. Regarding the wolffish fillet: it was probably grilled. I've never been served such dry, overcooked fish. The underside was partially blackened. The "fried boiled potatoes" were the same as described above. The tartar sauce served with it was almost runny and lacked flavor. The wait staff asked if I didn't like the food and if I should complain to the grill. Sorry, in a Gosch Sylt fish restaurant, such dishes shouldn't be served over the counter. If they do, then trust is lost. Our conclusion: never again Gosch Bansin. Luckily, there are other fish restaurants.

Everything was fine, there was so little audience

The food was delicious, like a snack bar. But okay, a must when in Bansin. Unfortunately, it wasn't good today. When I informed the manager, she said she needed to get some complaint-handling training. Her opinion is important, but she doesn't listen to customers, and well, she's just not customer-oriented. Wine and coffee, carelessly shoved onto the table as compensation...

A friend of ours came to get some buns. Well, unfortunately it wasn't much. The bun was probably from yesterday, the fish had no taste, more onion than fish, and the sauce ruined the whole thing. The service should also try harder. I know it's not easy, I also work in a restaurant.

We were in Bansin today and had the fried fish in a bun within seconds. The fish appeared to have been deep-fried beforehand. We got it cold in a soggy bun with remulade. It tasted disgusting. I think this place only survives because of its name. The quality of the food is abysmally poor.

A very nice restaurant with great offers. It's self-service, but the prices are reasonable. The food is freshly prepared and the ingredients are of high quality. A very good wine selection completes the experience.

A large selection and truly delicious food, with a lovely, sheltered outdoor seating area. If there were a large notice stating that it's self-service, it would be a solid 5 stars.

Above post from March 2023 Addendum from March 31, 2025 We've been to Gosch again and have to say...it's not the same anymore. We find the self-service prices overpriced. You see a lot of people coming in, looking at the prices at the counter, and then leaving again. Chefs talking loudly don't help you feel comfortable either. That was an absolute no-go for me this time... The glass of wine for €4.50 (not the price) was the worst I've ever had in my life. We then skipped the food and went somewhere else. Conclusion: We can get better for these prices and in a more relaxed atmosphere!

Gestern Abend bei Gosch Bansin gegessen. Mein Mann hatte Backfisch mit Bratkartoffeln, ich Zander mit Bratkartoffeln. War alles total geschmacklos, die Bratkartoffeln erinnerten eher an Salzkartoffeln (ohne Salz). Das beste beim Zander waren die Garnelen die oben auf lagen. Für 38€ eine große Enttäuschung!! Vlt zahlt man hier nur noch den Namen und nicht mehr für leckeres Essen?

Delicious fish sandwiches at a fair price. Right on the promenade. We went there every evening for a nightcap.

Please note: This review refers to the Gosch snack bar on the corner (right next to Bäckerei Junge)! I bought a fried fish roll there in the evening. After ordering, it took about a minute for me to get it. No wonder, since it was industrially processed fish that had been sitting on the stove for a long time. The breading was very leathery, and there was a thin layer of remoulade underneath the fish. Nothing else! Never again. Because I had just been to Neppermin two days earlier (at the local fish palace) and had the same thing, I was able to compare it. In the restaurant, however, our meal was okay.

Bottle of wine and a salad with scampi for a good 40€…. but lekka 🤪

Recommended. When the boss is on site, the service improves noticeably. Otherwise, as a guest you get the feeling that the Polish staff would have preferred not to come. Food great, prices are right.

Unverschämtheit! Kamen um 20.50 in das Restaurant in Bansin. Offiziell bis 22.00 geöffnet. Das Restaurant war zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch gut besucht. Alle Auslagen der Küche waren abgeräumt, die Köche offensichtlich beim Säubern. Auf die Frage, ob essen noch möglich sei, wurde von einem Koch äußerst unfreundlich geantwortet: Noch 10 Minuten! Nach der Bestellung wurde im Restaurant unmissverständlich von mürrischem Personal alles abgeräumt und den Gästen der Aufbruch mit dem Verhalten des Personals nahe gelegt. Auf die Frage, wann geschlossen wird, bekamen wir von der Servicekraft die Antwort, dass sie es nicht wisse, da sie erst 3 Tage dort sei !!! Wir sind seit vielen Jahren gerne Gäste bei verschiedenen Gosch- Filialen. Derartiges wie in Bansin kennen wir nicht! Für uns nie mehr! Deutlich unter Gosch-Standard!

So to charge €6.50 for the fried fish roll in the photo is a disgrace. No salad at all, burnt bun and hardly any tartar sauce. Absolutely not recommended.

Old fries that have already been fried are warmed up again. When we asked politely whether fresh fries could be made again, we only got an annoyed reaction and there were no new ones. Gladly not here again.

I was in Usedom in the week before Easter 2025 and went to Jünne's shop several times. The food was always perfect. Cleanliness: 5*, food: 5*, staff: 5*, service: 5*.

The pike perch fillet wasn't that great today, watery, barely seasoned and fried. The fried potatoes also went past the spices and into the pan, where they weren't fried properly until they were crispy. So it was better.

Some of the plaice was raw and when you complained you were looked at stupidly and the plaice was simply put back on the grill so that everything was burnt

The season has barely begun, but when we visited on a Wednesday in April there was little sense of hospitality in the Gosch house. The employees seemed listless and not very motivated - unfortunately the service and friendliness left a lot to be desired. For us, a visit to Gosch has always been an integral part of our Baltic Sea vacation. But after this experience, probably not anymore. It's a shame - because a friendly smile doesn't cost more energy than a grumpy look.

Negative: The fish soup is more of a vegetable soup, almost without fish, but definitely without any taste. The fried potatoes are limp, fatty and not crispy. The portions are very clear and everything is carelessly prepared. All mediocre quality, at an inflated price. The staff seems unempathic and not motivated. When paying by card, the customer is forced to tip and must actively refuse to pay a tip. There is simply no good quality at Gosch anymore, which is a shame. You can no longer expect this from the customer. Positive: The location. Unfortunately that was it!

As always, a relaxed atmosphere. No abnormal prices.

Positiv: Die Lage und die Einrichtung. Negativ: Die sogenannte Fischsuppe ist eine einfache Gemüsesuppe mit viel Gemüse und fast ohne Fischeinlage und ohne Geschmack. Schade!!! Der Backfisch und der Kartoffelsalat sind billiger Convenience-Food. Die Bratkartoffeln sind extrem fettig. Alles lieblos angerichtet. Auch sehr schade!!!

Leider enttäuschend. Service gleich null. Man muss zum Tresen um das Essen zu bestellen und dann auch noch selber abholen. Bei den Getränken das Gleiche! Nur abräumen muss man wohl noch nicht selber. Für ein Restaurant ein ziemlich trauriger Service. Das Essen war auch eher von minderer Qualität.

So I gave 4 stars 3 years ago because I always liked Gosch. Price-performance and quality as well as ambience. Unfortunately, the quality and price performance are no longer right. For self-service, I pay prices that I don't even pay in restaurants with service. If someone clears the table...great. The food has deteriorated significantly and the prices for drinks, such as wine, are no longer acceptable to me. The house wine or a bottle of Rosee that you once treated yourself to is a no go. The shop is empty. The staff shouts about it in Polish as if they were alone. So much for the ambience. We've been coming here for 6 years but won't be there any more. Very, very unfortunate. The fish sandwiches used to be awesome. Today on baked goods. Not crispy without anything just expensive. But it's not for nothing that the ratings are going down. Only Gosch is fed up and doesn't need it anymore.

We ate twice at Gosch's restaurant. Unfortunately there is no fish from the pan, only from the grill. The fried fish is molded fish and not freshly prepared. The breading tastes like frozen ready-made fish. The crayfish meat was good and my husband also liked the king prawns. The cod was also okay, but could have been more juicy from the pan. The drinks are good and the staff is very friendly. Gosch on Timmendorfer Strand was a lot better (from our point of view) The fish rolls with Bismarck at the Gosch-Imbiss are very dry and carelessly topped.

Unfortunately there are differences to the Gosch on Norderney, where we have often been. The tables and the restaurant are not that clean, and the tables are not cleared away so quickly. And we weren't as satisfied with our food (Thai penne, fish & chips, fish rolls with Bismarck herring) as we're used to from Gosch.

The food tastes good 👍 and meets your expectations for standard seafood. Drinks are not overpriced and are self-service. The staff is very friendly and, above all, cheerful.

For us, a visit is always a must when we're in Bansin. The food is always fresh and delicious.

The wine was delicious, but the food was delivered incorrectly and not tasty: sloppy plaice, fried fish from the freezer (shrimp), and expensive. Sitting outside in the sunshine was wonderful.

The fish rolls are carelessly made, even the lettuce leaves are saved. I'd rather not buy them there anymore.

A visit to Gosch is part of every holiday on Usedom, until now! Price-performance ratio is no longer true at all. The employee didn't choose the food quickly enough and seemed annoyed. Mind you, there was no one behind us. With the drinks we had the feeling that we were intruding. When we asked about dry red wine, we were quickly told 5 types with total disinterest. The food was okay but no reason to go there again. In the following days we ate better in fish restaurants with very nice service and very tasty, better food. The upholstery in the bench at our table was worn out, there was a big tear in the leather, which meant we could no longer sit there. During our visit, two employees were talking loudly in the dining room, which we found very disturbing. We also noticed that employees were standing in the kitchen and eating. What struck us as positive was the employee who cleared the dishes. She was very nice. We made a second attempt the following evening and wanted to buy fish sandwiches at 5:45 p.m. There are no more around that time!? There were 3 tables occupied at this point, so what's the problem with selling fish sandwiches in a shop that's still open for hours and all the ingredients are there? It can't be the baking of the rolls. But after seeing the review and pictures here, it was probably our luck that we didn't get one.

We stayed at Gosch Bansin in February 2025 and were very disappointed. In my opinion, the TG date of the fish dish had expired. At least that's how it tasted. The court went back. Was taken back without any problems. I was offered a replacement meal. The team seems to have changed. As always, too crowded and too loud, just a cafeteria atmosphere. If you really want to eat good fish, not here. The running staff was very nice.

I can absolutely recommend it! Shrimp were super fresh, the cocktail sauce was delicious, the wine was chilled and everyone was nice and friendly! We sat comfortably and comfortably. Any time!

Always a must visit when we are in Bansin.

It was the first time at a 'Gosch'. Tried a plate of fine fish (plaice, salmon, crabs and another fish). Overall, I just didn't think it was good for €25. Apparently everything from the grill. There was no grill aroma, more like rapeseed oil in the pan. The plaice didn't taste like anything at all, the salmon was ok, the crabs too, but the quality wasn't worth mentioning, it reminded me more of fast food in terms of quality, similar to the 'North Sea' chain. I prefer honest and good fish, without a lot of fat and maybe with a light salad. The tartar sauce and potatoes completely overwhelm the taste of this fish, which probably comes from aquaculture.

The fish sandwiches here are too simple. Just a roll with herring and raw onions. No cucumber, no lettuce leaf and all for €4.30 Matjes with fried potatoes are very tasty. Unfortunately, the vegetables for the grilled shrimp were too mushy. The drinks are good. We were here in February 2025.

Hello . Today I have to say something about Gosch Bansin. My test results among the Gosch branches have shown that Gosch Bansin is the very best. Simply great. Enjoy your meal . Especially the fish soup. The staff friendly and competent. And of course the pop singer who appeared on February 8th. 2025 was there. It was a great atmosphere. We had a very nice evening. Always delicious, but very expensive....crab rolls €8.90 We were served in a friendly manner and immediately found a seat and felt comfortable.

We have been on holiday in Bansin for years and were looking forward to Gosch and also ate there twice with German service, it was very pleasant, today there are only Poles in service and also at the stove, and no one is respected anymore, then they stand constantly outside with your gloves and smoking, then we also cook with it, we lived on the floor above, bon appetit, after the reviews someone should Wake up, Gosch is developing into an overpriced snack bar, that's just a shame for the creator of this chain

So the snack bar outside is actually nicer. The self-service is quite strange as it's not really clear from the start when you first go in there. There's no arguing about the quality of the food - it's great!

Were in the restaurant several times from December 28th, 2024 to January 2nd, 2025. Conclusion, undeniably very good, from the kitchen to the service. The dishes are undoubtedly freshly prepared and the quantity is also right. Price * Services match in full. The friendliness of the staff should also be emphasized here. Sure, you have to get everything yourself, but oh well... Funny faces everywhere, give you the best in this restaurant. And when it's full, you simply wait at the entrance with the charming service manager until a valuable space becomes available... We've been to this restaurant several times in 2023/2024 & in 2024/2025 it was again the best treat in Bansin! What will the evaluation be in 2025/2026? We are excited!

A fish sandwich for €4.30 with one Lovingly topped with herring fillet and onion rings... cheeky, no lettuce leaf or anything like that... thank you, never again. Then it's better to go to the local fishermen's fish stalls!

Unfortunately, the salmon was far too dry and completely oversalted, the price of over €25 for 3 small pieces was not justified, it's a shame that the quality hasn't improved.

The pan fish was tasty and well fried, the mustard sauce was aromatic. The fried potatoes could have been a little crispier.

Yesterday we had dinner at Gosch with 14 people. Super fast, super tasty and very friendly staff in the kitchen and in service. We were very excited and would love to come back.

Since the Corona period, the food has become more expensive (okay, yes inflation), the portions have become smaller and the quality has worsened. Of the two herrings I had on my last visit, one was totally musty. The men at the serving counter were also more grumpy than friendly.

Gosch is always worth a visit. No matter where, you can rely on the quality.

A wonderful fish restaurant with a wide selection and wonderfully fresh ingredients. The concept is just as convincing as the dishes themselves. We also went out to eat there on two consecutive evenings because it was simply delicious. The price is also completely reasonable. The portions are a decent size and even small extra requests are happy to be fulfilled. Our conclusion: absolutely recommended

I bought two herring rolls today. A roll cost €4.50. The topping was a piece of herring and three onion rings. An absolute disgrace. The waitress behind the counter had no interest. We will never enter this “restaurant” again.

Love of animals with all due respect, but for us animals definitely don't belong in the restaurant! We find it unhygienic and unpleasant. Personally, we like going to Gosch, but today there were several dogs in the restaurant at the same time and that's just not possible for us. Plus its own drinking bowl, I wonder why this isn't outside. It put us off and we won't be coming back as long as it is as it is. I like to spend my money, but then somewhere else. And yes, I like dogs a lot...

The food tasted good and was okay, but unfortunately the fried potatoes were only lukewarm and the plates were not preheated. The service was very friendly and accommodating. It was drafty in the restaurant because the door was wide open, which is a bit inappropriate for November...

We've been coming here since it opened. The ambience and initially also the food really appealed to us. Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined over time. The prices have increased - like everywhere else - but the portions have also become smaller. We were also disappointed in the taste of the food last time and will prefer to go to a regional fish restaurant with service in the future.
