I treated myself to a North Sea shrimp roll here. At €8.90, it wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was delicious.

The restaurant was packed, but since you had to order at the counter yourself, it went quite quickly. I had fish soup, a huge portion that could easily pass for a main course. I'd gladly go again.

The food and drinks were good and prepared quickly. I wouldn't have expected anything less from Gosch.

I arrived just as the store was closing, but they let me into the kitchen and whipped up a fantastic takeaway meal for me. It was fabulous and tasted amazing!

The food here is always delicious, dogs are welcome, and you can sit outside (for a short time) even in winter; blankets and patio heaters are available.

Very friendly service, especially at the drinks bar. Relaxed atmosphere. My favorite dish, Thai noodles, were a little dry, but still tasty.

The staff were unfortunately unmotivated and only moderately friendly, wearing rubber gloves and using their cell phones... disgusting, totally annoyed, no smiles, zero friendliness. The food was okay... What a shame. Like everywhere else, there's no staff, so you just take what's available.

The ambiance was lovely. We were mostly satisfied with the food – one thing: a fitness plate with so much oil and dressing, no matter how healthy it's prepared, simply blows any sense of proportion if you're watching your nutritional intake. Tip: Serve the dressing separately so you can add it yourself. The shrimp were also sautéed in a lot of oil/fat, but it was still within reason and very tasty.

It's more like a fast-food restaurant, but the food is very good. You have to place and pick up your order yourself, but they do clear your dishes. It was quite noisy inside due to the number of customers. The prices are a bit high for the amount of food on the plate.

Located directly on the beach promenade, you can sit outside and enjoy your vacation. From fish sandwiches to currywurst, they offer a self-service menu. A delicious glass of wine is also a must. Public restrooms are located directly opposite or in the Gosch restaurant around the corner.

Choose your food and order at the counter. A pager will signal when it's ready for pickup. The menu is varied and focuses on fish. The mixed fish platter with pan-fried salmon, cod, and plaice fillets, as well as crab, two dips, and fried potatoes for €25.90 is generous and worth the money. Definitely worth a visit.

The best fish in Bansin. The herring rolls are exactly as they should be. The pike-perch with shrimp is cooked to perfection. The house white wine is very drinkable. Nothing to complain about.

Yesterday, just before 6 p.m., I was able to order something from the outdoor seating area without any problems. Today at 5:30 p.m., I unfortunately disturbed the staff while they were smoking. I was told they were already closed. They wouldn't even sell me the fish sandwiches in the display case because I was smoking. So, they'd rather throw everything away than sell a customer a fish sandwich at 5:30 p.m.? Seriously? Amazingly flexible opening hours. If the women are there, at least put down their cigarettes to sell something. Absolutely unacceptable!

I thought I was dreaming. Gosch, the legendary Gosch of Sylt, also runs a fish restaurant with an outlet at the Beach Hotel Bergstrasse on the seafront in Bansin on the island of Usedom. There, I ordered fish and chips and a bottled Coke. The Coke, it was immediately obvious: it had a really dirty neck before I even opened the bottle, and I complained to the waitress at the outlet counter. She just shrugged her shoulders and said indifferently: "And what am I supposed to do?" My answer: take this dirty bottle and exchange it for a clean one! No, she saw no reason for that. I said: let's see if the manager sees a reason for that!? At this point in the conversation, our tone had already risen considerably. This attracted another employee, who wordlessly placed a fresh, clean, cold Coke bottle from the store on the counter for me and took the dirty one back with him. Thanks for that! In the restaurant industry, even those who think they're irreplaceable because of a current staff shortage will take a good look around. Perhaps Mr. Gosch will read these lines and step on the toes of such employees or fire them outright. It's about time, because the last name "Gosch" was above the entrance door.

The food was okay. The fried potatoes, as always at Gosch, weren't even a bit crispy. Service was not self-service. The atmosphere was okay except for the noise level. 🆗

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because we couldn't find a seat (6-7 p.m.). The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. and closes from 9 p.m. onward, so the stated opening hours until 10 p.m. are incorrect. The large dogs in the seating area were also uninviting.

The river fish was like a shoe sole. Deep-fried several times, it had no fishy taste left. There was nothing on the plate except tartar sauce. There wasn't even enough for a leaf of lettuce or something similar. A shame.

Rudely turned away on Saturday evening at 8:25 p.m. because the kitchen was already closing, even though the internet said it should be open until 10 p.m.

There were five of us there. All the dishes were good, except for my salmon with baked potato. Extremely dry and almost unseasoned. For €26... I almost cried. The next day, second chance. Fish and chips for me. That was great.

We ate at Gosch in Bansin yesterday. We had two fish platters and one fish & chips. The fish was very dry, especially the crab and salmon. The fish was also very crispy, meaning it had been kept warm for too long. The restaurant itself isn't as pretty as Sylt or Grömitz. Like almost everywhere, there's a hint of sauce on the fries. But I think it's outrageous to simply add a 5% tip without asking. They could have asked first. Especially with no service at all. Everything's self-service...

Delicious food but with self-service

It's a self-service restaurant, so the service is difficult to rate. The self-service aspect makes it a bit less cozy. But the food was really delicious.

We think Gosch is a good place in Bansin and the surrounding area. It offers good value for money. Very good and attentive service. A nice atmosphere. A good selection.

We only had a drink. The Aperol was a disaster, a ready-made product, without ice cubes or orange slices. When we asked about it, we were told: "This is just a snack bar. We're used to something different from Gosch."

Always thought the store was expensive...but price/performance is totally ok

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. I ordered fried shrimp on a bed of baked vegetables with toasted baguette and herb butter for €19.90. The bowl consisted mostly of overcooked carrots and beets, a single, flavorless red mass with shrimp on top. For baked vegetables, I expect more than two standard vegetables. A small slice of baguette wasn't enough. The shrimp were delicious. I'm actually used to something different at Gosch, like Gosch in Wenningstedt on Sylt. It's a real shame!

The salads were excellent, one with shrimp that they found again, and the other with tasty fish fillets. The fries were a positive surprise—crispy and fresh. The location was exquisite for Bansin. The two chefs were friendly and cool. Otherwise, it's self-service; clearing away (even though it wasn't busy) took a while... and yes... Either way, unfortunately/necessarily, it's a bistro-style place with relatively "good" prices. €70 for two salads, one fries, one white wine spritzer, and one 0.2 liter wine... phew.

You had to search for fried fish, frozen food from the bag and fried potatoes with a magnifying glass, which is actually quite embarrassing. We don't have them anymore.

We already know Gosch from another location, wanted a good meal here, and of course, we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff, super-tasty shrimp. The atmosphere was inviting. The service was attentive and friendly. We'd gladly go back.

I have never eaten a more boring herring fish sandwich.

First, the positives: the location and ambiance are good; the wine—the Pinot Gris—was excellent both in terms of taste and price. The service was unfriendly, even though the place was almost empty at 4:30 p.m. We had to clear our table of the dishes left by the previous guests ourselves, as no one had come to serve us even after 20 minutes. The food: we had the zander with shrimp and the summer salad with fish fillets, together for just under €50. Both were a disappointment for us; the salad was accompanied, among other things, by a cold, oil-soaked baguette slice; the fish was dry but still okay. The zander was unseasoned and full of bones, the fried potatoes had no roasted flavor and were greasy. We're used to all this much better from other Gosch locations.

A very nice restaurant. Lovingly decorated. The pesto spaghetti with shrimp is amazing. The fish, too, of course.

This GOSCH restaurant may have relatively poor reviews, but for me, it was a great experience today. The tables were cleared and cleaned quickly, and everyone was helpful. GOSCH is self-service. Menus are available both at the counter and at the table. There are outdoor seats, seats at the edge, seats in the middle, seats without backrests, or somewhat hidden seats with comfortable benches and chairs. Of course, you'd prefer comfortable chairs here, not sitting on display in the middle of the crowd. We found a nice, secluded seat at the edge. The portions were generous and simply delicious. The fish was well-cooked. The oven-baked vegetables as an extra side dish were excellent. We enjoyed a delicious meal.

Not all fish soups are created equal; by comparison, this is the best I've had at Gosch so far. Generously filled and hot. The staff is very attentive and friendly. SPO has been declining for years. A shame.

Fish snack bar with a lovely atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp with roasted vegetables. A disgrace. The roasted vegetables consisted of carrots, sweet potatoes, beets, and onions. It looked like shit on the plate... Truly disgusting. I would have preferred fresh zucchini, peppers, garlic, and onions. But Gosch doesn't seem to need it. Cheap, made-to-order, and good.

Since I know and highly appreciate the restaurant in Warnemünde, I wanted to enjoy the delicious shrimp with a glass of wine in Bansin. The unkempt employee was obviously annoyed. I've never been served so rudely. I asked for a sweet wine, and I received a harsh rebuff that I couldn't even really understand. The friendly employee next door explained to me that they didn't have any sweet wines. Unfortunately, the service put me off my appetite.

Very tense staff. We asked how it worked. Because we (a bit older) didn't know how to get what to eat. Instructions are on the menu! (It's very small, like an advertisement). Only self-service and instant checkout. Every friendly question received a rude answer, not to mention that the portions were good, although the food tasted quite good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. More like a fast food joint or a factory canteen. A shame.

Gosch is a very good restaurant in Bansin. We've been there several times, ordered, and always found a seat. It should be noted that Gosch is a self-service restaurant, similar to McDonald's. Unfortunately, the prices are high, the quality is mediocre, and the service is self-service. At these prices, table service would actually be appropriate, and given the quality, the high prices wouldn't be appropriate ;-)

I find it a shame that food is treated so tastelessly. My fish sandwich only had half a herring and an onion ring! I would appreciate it if you could put a little effort and love into your service and products.

Food is ordered inside at the counter, which can take a while or get hectic during busy times. You then get a button and choose a table. When the button lights up, the food is ready. You hand it back to the counter, whereupon the food is handed to you. Drinks are available at a separate counter; you also pay for them there and then you can take them out with you. Liberal dog policy. The food was completely average, and could have been at a North Sea beach or somewhere in a pedestrian zone.

The food is unquestionably recommended. We had the plaice fillets, and they were truly top-notch. The staff behind the counter were consistently pleasant and friendly. What does come across as a bit cheeky, however, is that even when paying by card, the machine asks you if you want to tip. Hello? It's completely self-service. You get your food at one counter and your drinks at the other.

After initially pleasant service for the shrimp with a glass of blanc, I was unfortunately disappointed. I waited for the wine, and after complaining, I was politely told that I hadn't ordered the advertised shrimp with wine. However, I had specifically requested shrimp with a glass of blanc when ordering. Since I don't need any more hassle in life, I paid for the wine as well. There were certainly other ways to handle this, but whatever. Afterward, the shrimp with the extra wine did taste good after all...but overall, it could have been better.
