This place needs a better ventilation system. When you walk in, it smells strongly of frying oil and grease. The prices are exorbitant. I paid €10 for a burger and it arrived cold. The sauces, however, are good.

I noticed that my previous review was deleted – even with a notification from Google that it was being removed. I really don't understand this, as it was my honest experience. I've also noticed that other reviews seem to be disappearing as well. That's why I'm reposting my review. I ate at Glückspilz in the old town and ordered a chicken burger. When I received the burger, I was honestly disappointed: For the price, I expected something much better. The burger only contained two small strips of chicken, and the rest was almost entirely bread – probably 90%. I felt completely ripped off. What I find particularly disappointing is that instead of addressing customer feedback, reviews seem to be deleted. As a customer, you simply don't feel valued. I would have appreciated them contacting me instead of simply removing my experience.

The shop looked great and the service was excellent, but I found metal shavings in my fries and the portions were so small for the price – outrageous!

Many people immediately express their frustration online, but the people who leave satisfied usually don't even get in touch, and I think that's unfair. My friends and I have been here several times, and we've received good advice and were satisfied every time. The staff are friendly, the store is clean, and the selection is great. And I have to say, as a Bielefeld native who knows the city's burger joints, there's no place with better smash burgers and more amazing sauces than Glückspilz. We don't need to talk about their impeccable service and social image. Be sure to treat yourself to the chicken tenders. KEEP IT UP!

A very pretty shop. With a deliberately old-fashioned decor, it's small but perfectly formed. Not in the heart of the old town, but very easy to reach. The food is nothing to complain about. The new menu is excellent 🔝

Let's get straight to the first and only positive aspect of our visit: they serve chilled drinks in glass bottles. The atmosphere in the shop is about as inviting as a train station concourse. The chairs were uncomfortable, the napkin dispensers were sticky, the toilet was broken (washing hands was mandatory), and some of the burger buns were burnt beyond edibility (but were grumblingly replaced after a complaint). The chicken, like the cheese sauce, was cold and had apparently been sitting on a tray in the kitchen for a while. For this quality, a burger shouldn't cost more than €5.99, in my opinion. We definitely won't be coming back.

We went to this restaurant yesterday, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The burgers—both beef and chicken—tasted really bad. The chicken tenders were particularly disappointing; they seemed like they had been prepared days before and had just been reheated. They were completely dark and dry. Overall, the quality was so poor that we won't be eating a burger there again anytime soon. A real shame. And for the price, the size is ridiculous.

Very run-down and unhygienic. Sure, it's a burger place, and some oil is to be expected, but not to such an extent. Unfortunately, wiping tables isn't the norm either, so we had to do it ourselves. I found the chicken patty particularly bad. I really don't know if it was simply left in the fryer or if it was intentionally left that way. But the marinade was very dark and rock hard. And, to be honest, I felt sick after eating it. At least the tinder sticks were okay.

They've found a way to rip off their customers. Since they only serve smashburgers, which are flattened, the patties are now smaller, but because they're flattened, no one notices... the added bonus: The burger is now more expensive than before, and it tastes worse...

The shop is very tidy. The prices are slightly high, but this is more than offset by the delicious burgers and the interesting variety. The service staff was courteous, thankfully fluent in English, and the shop made a pleasantly clean impression. We'll be happy to stop by again on our next business trip.

Extremely small burgers for the price! The taste was okay. The fries were very crispy and delicious. Overall, the staff was understaffed, and it took quite a while. There were no napkins. Overall verdict: too expensive.

My visit to Glückspilz Burger was unfortunately disappointing. The prices are very high compared to the quality offered. The burger was dry, the meat had an unpleasant odor and didn't seem fresh – overall, the worst burger I've ever eaten. The chicken burger was also poorly prepared, didn't fit properly in the bun, and was also dry. Furthermore, the hygiene conditions in the shop didn't make a good impression. Overall, the visit didn't meet my expectations. I'd love to give it 0 stars, but unfortunately, that's not possible.

The burger was good, freshly made, and so were the fries. However, it was a bit overpriced for the size of the burger. The staff were mediocre. The interior is relatively sparse and empty. There's room for improvement. Overall, not a "special" experience in my opinion, after being sold the opposite on social media.

The potato sticks and the lucky mushroom sauce are also incredibly delicious. But the music was too loud; I could barely understand the young lady at the cash register. The menu concept wasn't entirely convincing to me; it would have been better if I had understood the lady when I asked questions. Unfortunately, the menu wasn't completely filling. My colleague, who was there with me, also told me this. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars, because the taste was simply amazing. I'd love to come back, and maybe then I'll understand the staff better.

If only I'd read the latest reviews... Previously, in my opinion, it was the best burger joint in Bielefeld, and now it's joining the ranks of the big players. Delicious, juicy, and well-filled burgers have turned into a thinly topped, sticky burger bun. The Oklahoma is two thinly topped pieces of toast. The potato sticks were okay, but in my opinion, they're not as good as I remember. It's a shame, the price-performance ratio just isn't right anymore.

This place used to be soo good. We used to often visit the restuarant for its lip-smacking burgers and also the reason that it is halal. But the other day, we were so disappointed! Other than lettuce and a patty, there was nothing in my chicken burger. Plus tasted kinda sweet. The beef burger also tasted weird and was super oily! Wonder if the chef has changed, but the food was not right. For 10 euros, so not worth it!!!

Food delivered cold via Lieferando. After a 90-minute wait in Bielefeld Mitte, it was a total failure. 50 euros for delivery and it ended up being trash.

Update: July 16, 2025 Today, I went to Glückspilz for the first time in a long time to satisfy my hunger. First of all, the quality was top-notch, but the portions were still manageable. I had special advice, had a burger with a double patty, chicken fries, and then another chicken meal (see pictures)... In short: delicious, great service, but I'm still hungry... Freshly prepared - friendly service, tastes quite good. The price is quite high for the size of the portions and compared to the many alternatives in town... the menu pictured, including a drink, cost €15.

Food: Burger (~€8) more suited to a small appetite for adults or a moderate appetite for our 6-year-old daughter. However, she was only satisfied thanks to the fries. Unfortunately, I wasn't full, and my supposedly spicy burger only slightly tickled my palate. None of us enjoyed the sticky-sweet buns à la McDonald's. Service: Special requests, such as no onions, were accommodated when ordering. Drinks are self-service at the checkout, you have to pick up your own food, and you also have to dispose of your own tray/trash... no questions asked if it tastes good; constant beeping for pickup notifications. Hand wipes were nowhere to be found on the tables or anywhere else. Atmosphere: Heavily worn sofa covers, no air conditioning, and unpleasantly stuffy despite the maximum outside temperature of 22°C; large, old cobwebs under the ceiling, apparently soaked yellow with grease, and the plumbing was disastrous. Our daughter asked us why they were so scary... Overall, it's more of a McDonald's equivalent, although the restrooms are more appealing and the food is served faster. It's a shame - it used to be much better. We won't be going back anytime soon.

Super fast and friendly service, great burgers as always! It's just a bit annoying that the sauces for the fries cost "so much" – but it's bearable because the lunch menu itself is really good value for money. I would have the Impossible (veggie) Burger with fries and a drink, which only cost me €9.90 on the lunch menu. The atmosphere in the branch is super cool! I'd go back anytime! :)

Solid burger, good staff, great atmosphere. The Secret Smashed Burger wasn't as crispy as I expected, but it was solid, the gold bars were as they should be, and the price was reasonable at just under €17.

An endless wait for a very weak burger. I tried the smash and chicken. Maybe my Berlin palate is spoiled, but super weak performance, I'd say a 3/10.

My wife and I ordered the California Burger from the menu twice and were sadly disappointed. The bun was too sweet and artificial, the patty too thin, and the sauce didn't taste good (mayo would have been even better). The only positives were the fries and how quickly they were prepared. The restrooms are unfortunately quite old, but still usable. That definitely needs to change. If they keep going like this, all the social media hype won't do any good. We were tempted, tried it once, and wouldn't go back.

The quality of burgers has significantly deteriorated! Not more of a real patty, but like fast food, even worse. Burgers very dry to burnt, chicken burgers never like they were back then. No ventilation, oil smell is very unpleasant. Toilets unclean. Otherwise order came pretty quickly

When the moment of truth came, the long-awaited side dishes were missing! It was like listening to a concert without an orchestra, a symphony without harmony! The fries, those golden brown sticks that round off the taste experience, remained out of reach. In this tragic moment, the hungry customer realized how essential side dishes are to the complete culinary experience. They are not just a side dish, but the indispensable accompaniment that transforms the main course into a true feast. Toilet broken food for the ass 15 euros for a burger the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger plus a fries with a piece of metal in it and a drink. It doesn't taste particularly good either.

The light in the restroom doesn't work – first, you have to walk past some ultra-scary Joker sign with "why so serious?" written in red, only to end up in a completely dark room. Luckily, I had my flashlight with me and was able to light my way to the restroom. Totally creepy, I swear. But the food is really good, and the people are nice too.

The store has suffered extremely large losses. About a year ago the beef burgers were completely different (possibly homemade patties). The patties now taste like the cheapest frozen patties and the burger no longer stands out from the crowd. In terms of taste, it could now be any snack burger. Good day, I was at Glückspils today at 12:50 p.m. and ordered a French fries bowl with Lucky Chicken Crisps and mayo (unfortunately the name is not exactly known). Since I was in a hurry, I ordered my food to take away. Per: ✅ The fries were still crisp and good even after 10 minutes. ✅ The Lucky Crisps were really crispy and delicious. ✅ The ordering process via the app was quick and uncomplicated. Cons: ❌ The price is a bit high in my opinion (but partly justified). ❌ The employee seemed unfriendly and not very motivated. ❌ The food was prepared carelessly. Other than that, it's a good store. I will come back to try a burger and update my review afterwards. For the time being, I can recommend the store.

It was a very nice evening, the food came quicker than expected with such a large order, I was with my girlfriend because she became aware of Glücksstück via YouTube and other platforms. Finally tried it, but the burger didn't blow me away. For the price it's a little bigger, and even more so if the patty wasn't a frozen product like MD and BK. The GP sauce, however, is clear.

When I was there last week, I was initially amazed at what lucky people look like in real life. I've only ever seen this on social networks. I thought the branch was very nice from the outside, but when I went in I didn't order anything straight away because I was so amazed by the interior design. Ordering and paying is like at McDonald's/Burger King. When I ordered and received my menu, I went outside and ate the menu in the park next door or in the market square. The potato sticks (fries) and the Top Secret Burger were so delicious that I thought it tasted much better than at McDonald's/Burger King. Dear lucky team, Thank you for the great food and of course I'll come back from Hamm to Bielefeld to eat something with you.

The food wasn't good. No gucamole, no hummus, nothing. Vegan offer disappointing. It's better to focus on the products rather than unnecessary social media videos.
