The atmosphere was cool, and the heaters made it pleasant outside in milder temperatures. Cocktails very good, service good, food mediocre. Japanese shredded beef – I'll be honest, there was nothing right about this dish. The flavors were anything but Japanese. I was expecting typical salty-sweet à la gyudon and instead got German pieces of beef in sauce – also quite overcooked. The rice wasn't ideal either, rather dry than fragrant. The price was also rather mediocre for the amount of "shredded" meat. The kimchi was also rubbish – dressed with dressing instead of properly "made," i.e., fermented. If I can't or don't want to do that, I'll just buy it. The same goes for the mini spring rolls, which were obviously convenience foods. To round off the negative experience, these also had too little of the standard sweet chili sauce. I have no idea. I'll come back for the smashed burgers. There aren't many choices in Bielefeld, so we'll see.

The service is friendly and fast. The restaurant isn't particularly large inside, but it's cozy. The cocktails are delicious but also very expensive. The food is good, but also very reasonably priced. However, I found the payment system particularly cheeky. At the end of the checkout, you can specify the percentage of your tip, with the lowest options starting at 10%, then 15%, and then 20%.

We found the burgers a bit disappointing

Was there for the first time today and unfortunately I was very disappointed! We sat about 3cm away from the couple next to us on one side and maybe 15cm on the other side. These 15 cm were also the passage to my seat, which wasn't very comfortable even as a slim person. Two seats further on, a couple was asked if they could pay as the table was now to be occupied differently. (Not in these words but the context fits) In the following group there was no chair left for one person and he was then told that once I had finished eating he could have my seat. Which is a disgrace since I've only had my food a few minutes. We definitely won't be coming back. What a shame!

It's okay but too expensive for what you get. Burger costs €15 and doesn't fill you up

Well, we were there for the first time because it always looks busy from the outside. It was also very crowded today and we had reserved for a larger group (7P). Only after I asked again was there a confirmation of this, which didn't bother me that much because there were probably technical problems and, as I said, the demand is obviously there. The service was really nice and attentive, but the food and the price-performance ratio will make it a one-time visit. The burgers were ok, but not good and some were cold. We now have some comparisons to help us assess this. For example, there was so little cheese on the Cheesy Smashburger that even the next table was asked whether they had gotten the wrong burger. The roll was said to have been delicious, but all in all the toppings were far too few, so the bread was mostly served. The fries, on the other hand, were crispy and tasty, but again the two euros extra for a small tablespoon of mayo was disproportionate. However, the Caesar salad for 17.90 euros took the cake. A maximum portion of a starter salad with fried chicken, which was chewy and felt refrigerator cold and served on a few lettuce leaves with cherry tomatoes, croutons and parmesan. Sorry, but for 18 euros I expect a main course that fills me up. Maybe the other dishes are more convincing, but I don't have the money to try them out.

One of the best addresses in Bielefeld for both tasty and unusual dishes as well as creative and delicious cocktails. 🙏 If you don't stop by the GoodHood, you've definitely missed something!

As a guest, you simply expect that what you order will be delivered to you - especially for a dish that was announced as vegetarian. The waiter (later revealed to be the chef) assured me that the ramen soup could easily be made vegetarian. According to the images on Google, the original dish is served with ground beef - which is exactly what I was shocked to find at the bottom of my soup, only after I had almost finished it. When I brought this up, I was told it was "crumbled tofu" - which it definitely wasn't. After that it was suddenly “veggie hack”? Mistakes happen. But this shouldn't happen to vegetarians, vegans or people with allergies. And when the chef doesn't even take the time to contact me - apparently he wasn't there anymore - and I'm made to wait 15 minutes after I reported it and the service comes up with excuses from the kitchen instead of solutions, the whole thing ends my way. The consequence? I will never go there again. For all guests: Pay attention to what is promised to you!

Unfortunately, the tables are so tightly spaced that the visit is not enjoyable (even though the food tastes very tasty!). We always had to push the table over to our neighbors (about 20cm away) so that we could even get in and out.

We had reserved a table for two people, but when we arrived it was moved about 10 cm away from another table. So we sat close to another table for two, no privacy. It didn't just happen to us, actually everyone who came in pairs. Nobody was excited about it. Likewise the people who had to struggle to sit on stools at high tables (despite having a reservation where you expect a comfortable place). So the ambience is not well received at all. The food was tasty and came quickly, unfortunately with a poor price-to-filling ratio. I had to look for the dip on the coriander fries, there was so little on it. Based on the overall impression, we will try something different next time rather than go here again.

Smashed Burger looks completely different than advertised on Insta, minimal cheese, hardly any toppings overall. Dry, vegetables missing. The taste was really not good, it mainly tasted like pepper. Overall, the food was very over-spiced, even though I usually like it salty. Like the soggy burger, mayonnaise was too greasy for me. Nothing but fat tasted out. Solid fries. Ambiance: quite cramped and uncomfortable. Very expensive, for me more appearance than reality. Couldn't eat most of it. It's never happened to me.

Food quality was okay. However, a simple burger with fries for 24 euros is significantly overpriced for what is on offer. I think the price/performance ratio is better at other similar stores in the area. Inside it is also kept simple. Unfortunately it's quite loud and the often open door makes your feet cold in winter.

Love this restaurant. The food tastes really great, the service is also very friendly and the restaurant is beautifully designed.

A nice little spot. The double smash burger was delicious. One of the nicest burgers I've ever had. The one quibble I had was that they charged 2 EUR for ketchup and mayonnaise. The prices are already expensive - which is OK for quality food - but 2 EUR extra for ketchup is really pushing it.

Despite our surprise visit to the Good Hood late Monday evening with a large group, there wasn't even a single reason to criticize or even complain about anything. The whole Good Hood team, especially our waitress (thank you for your patience ;), were always extremely friendly and friendly despite the late hour, the rapidly increasing alcohol level and the resulting loudness in front of me and my work colleagues behave understandingly towards us! Thank you very much! It was a very nice evening :)

Service was good, the gentleman who served us was very friendly. Ambiance was okay, benches became uncomfortable after a while, room was too dark. The food disappointed me. The burger bread was not good, the meat had hardly any flavor and the sauce also had no taste. Price performance is not right at all, far too expensive for such a meal. Not recommended.

The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and definitely recommended. However, the seating was very tight, which somewhat detracted from the dining experience. It felt like we were sitting like chickens on the curtain rod, very cramped and uncomfortable. Additionally, it was incredibly loud, which contributed to a stressful atmosphere. What was particularly disappointing was that we had asked for a quiet corner when making the reservation, but were seated by the door instead. The door opened and closed every 3 seconds, ruining any hope of a relaxing meal. Overall, the food is definitely worth the visit, but I would recommend being prepared for the noise and cramped seating.

There were two of us here and we both had a burger and a drink. The service was really good, very nice and everything went very quickly. The toilets are clean. The ambience and furnishings were okay and the burgers were really tasty. The price is a joke though. €16.50 for a really not particularly big burger. We also both ordered a 0.5L drink for €5.50. Both drinks were filled with 6-7 large ice cubes. In the end we got maybe a maximum of 0.3L and after 10 minutes the drinks no longer tasted good because the ice cubes had dissolved. Conclusion: It would actually be a nice restaurant, but the food is overpriced and unfortunately you can't order drinks here.

You pay €16.50 for a vegan burger here, which is served without any side dishes and is incredibly meager for the price. It's also incredibly cheeky that the 0.5 liter iced tea for €5.20 is served with 7 ice cubes and definitely doesn't include the amount of iced tea you pay for. In the end, my companion and I left the restaurant hungry and spent even more money than we would in other restaurants. It should be mentioned that in these restaurants, for just under €22 per person, you can get a rich burger with a side dish as well as drinks that don't contain ice cubes. We just felt ripped off and therefore can't recommend "The Good Hood".

Honestly… bad. We ordered the smashed burger(15.7€) with a side of sweet potato fries (5.5€)and mayo dip(2€). Too expensive and not tasty or satisfying enough. The burger was with not enough meet so the main flavor was mayo. The mayo dip was just bad, had a very fishy flavor. And the fries… regular, at least have some salt on the table.

Regional, high-quality organic ingredients are used here and the food tastes delicious! The atmosphere is also very nice and cozy. Unfortunately, the starter was not delivered in advance as requested, which unfortunately caused the fries and burgers to cool down. Therefore a star deduction for the service.

It's a shame that the udon & entrecôte is on the recommendation menu - I would love to eat it every time😋 Luckily, you can eat the smashed burger more often. I've never eaten anything so crunchy. You can tell how much love and detail is in every dish and for very fair money! Simply delicious!

Recommended 👌🏾. A reservation is necessary. We had reserved a table for 2 people... when we arrived it was clear to us that we didn't want to listen to this table and the conversations from left and right, so we had ourselves moved to the counter... which was definitely more pleasant because you could have a better conversation. Next time we'll know and can note it 😉 It was still quite nice at the counter. The service was friendly and attentive.

My boyfriend and I have eaten at GH several times recently and were very satisfied. Basically, the menu could be a little more extensive for my taste, but even so I always find what I'm looking for. Last time I had the ramen soup, which was delicious. We also recommend the burgers :)

Very nice and courteous staff. There was a drinks and food menu as soon as we sat at the table. It didn't take long and our order was taken. Drinks and appetizers were brought to us very quickly. After a short while we were asked if we wanted the main course. The only point of criticism (complaining at a high level, since you know what you're getting into) - if you sit outside, the cars are slightly annoying. But the good food and the great staff make you forget it.

The burger was okay, but also more than well paid for. The price for mayo and ketchup is totally exorbitant. The wardrobe, if you want to call it such, is in dire need of an overhaul. But what really annoyed me was the fact that we had to leave the restaurant after 1.5 hours because our table was then given to someone else. When I meet friends for dinner, I want to enjoy it in peace and leave when it suits me. Conclusion: Never again!!! The only good thing was the service. She was really nice.

Die Burger aber auch der Salat waren wirklich der Hammer.

Ich hatte einen guten Abend. Der Service war toll, aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten nur Getränke.

Eher eine Kneipe als ein Restaurant.Ich fand die Musik zu laut.Essen war OK,aber recht teuer.

Ich fand es eigentlich immer super. Nach einer Zeit ist mir jedoch aufgefallen, dass die veganen Gerichte deutlich weniger ideenreich und abwechslungsreich gestaltet werden, jedesmal nur ein anderes Curry. Leider war es auch nicht möglich die anderen Gerichte, wie Ramen, Wok-Pfannen etc. als vegane Option zu erhalten. Wäre hier mehr Abwechslung und Optionen würde ich bestimmt auch mal wieder kommen.

Essen und Getränke sehr gut aber wurden heute abgewiesen, weil es angeblich zu voll war. Kurz nach dieser Aussage des Personals wurden betrunkene Personen mit Fanutensilien an einen Tisch gesetzt. Sind sehr unfreundlich abgewiesen worden. Muss so nicht sein.

Aufgrund sehr guter Mundpropaganda wollten wir den Burger probieren. Sind extra 100km gefahren.. Über die Homepage für 22:00 einen Tisch im Restaurant reserviert. Als wir ankamen haben wir nur noch die Getränkekarte erhalten. Die Küche hatte schon zu gemacht. Der Service hat darauf hingewiesen, dass auf der Homepage die Küchenzeiten zu finden sind und wir uns hätten informieren können. Nachdem wir die Information erhalten haben, wurde die Homepage gründlich durchsucht, wo so eine Information stehen könnte. Fazit: Nichts gefunden.. Bitte ergänzt eure Öffnungszeiten um die küchenzeiten oder passt die Reservierungsmöglichkeiten an.. Eine Reservierung für das Restaurant impliziert das die Küche noch offen haben sollte.. Leider mussten wir dann uns das Essen wo anders suchen Gerne besuchen wir das Lokal nochmal und geben erneut eine Bewertung ab. *Update* Öffnungszeiten inkl. Küche tatsächlich angepasst und die konstruktive Kritik ernst genommen :) Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbeikommen um das Essen zu probieren :)

Essen war super 👍🏼 sehr lecker, ausgefalleneres Essen, war schön angerichtet und hat echt gut geschmeckt. Das Lokal an sich ist nicht besonders groß, aber man hat genug Platz zwischen den Tischen, die Lautstärke war auch auszuhalten. Leider gab es ein Problem mit unserer Reservierung. Ursprünglich hatten wir auf 19.00 Uhr reserviert, dann wurden wir angerufen, dass wir doch bitte um 19.30 Uhr kommen sollen. Gesagt, getan - da standen wir dann leider ohne Tisch.. wir wurden vorübergehend an einen ebenfalls reservierten Tisch gesetzt und mussten uns nach 1h umsetzen.. Nicht dramatisch, aber auch nicht ideal.. das Durcheinander mit der Reservierung ist der Grund für den Punkt Abzug.

Der Smashed Burger war super lecker. Auch das Burgerbrötchen war richtig nice. Kann die Location weiterempfehlen!

Leckerer Stylischer Laden in Zentraler Lage, ich komme immer gern wieder wegen den Burgern und der Option alles Vegetarisch oder Vegan zu machen. Es gibt immer wieder neue Gerichte zum probieren. Ps: Ich vermisse die Mini Burger

Ich war mit einer Freundin hier, haben das Lokal nicht zum ersten Mal besucht. Das Essen schmeckt super, ist frisch und kommt schnell. Der Service gibt sich große Mühe und schafft so eine Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Einen Minuspunkt gibt es allerdings und zwar die Platzsituation, die zweier Tische stehen unfassbar eng nebeneinander und man sitzt sehr eng aneinander. Kommen gerne wieder die Burger und die Getränke sind top.

A friendly, fun and inviting spot. The burgers are world class. For a solo traveler that does not speak German, Bielefeld is not world’s most warm-hearted place. The Good Hood was, however, the perfect spot to relax, chat to locals and grab a delicious dinner. Highly recommended!

Warum hier nur 4,4 Sterne sind habe ich nicht verstanden. Einer der besten Burger die ich je gegessen habe, alles mega frisch zubereitet und super Lecker. Schickes, jedoch absolut überteuertes Restaurant. Wir hatten Burger (ca 17 Euro) mit Pommes und Mayonnaise, wobei die Beilagen extra dazugestellt werden müssen. Eine Coca Cola kostet über 5 Euro. Die Portionen sind überschaubar, aber ausreichend. Grundsätzlich ein cooles und schickes Konzept, aber für ein Burger-Menü mit Getränk knapp 30 Euro zu verlangen ist fast schon eine Frechheit.

Schade um das Essen! Waren heute dort essen, welches auch ganz gut geschmeckt hat. Leider stimmt die Karte die man online findet nicht mit der vor Ort überein. Wir haben eine große Flasche Wasser (1l steht in der Karte) und haben stattdessen eine 0,75l Flasche bekommen. Als wir das angesprochen haben wurden wir sehr unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass sie nichts daran ändern können und dies auch nichts am Preis ändern würde. Die Situation hätte man anders und besonders freundlicher lösen können. Nach 10-15 min wurde uns dann eine kleine Flasche auf den Tisch geknallt mit dem Kommentar zu einem von uns „damit du heute Nacht schlafen kannst“. Das war äußerst unprofessionell und unfreundlich, was unsere Laune auch ziemlich beeinträchtigt hat. Würde nicht wieder kommen.

Sehr schöner Laden! Hat zwar eine kleine Auswahl an Gerichten - die sind dafür aber frisch zubereitet! Geschmacklich sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Zu erwähnen ist noch das Kölsch in Stangen und ein Japanisches Bier vom Fass angeboten wird 🍺.

Bin seit mehreren Jahren Gast im Good Hood und nun wird es auch mal Zeit eine Bewertung zu schreiben. Das Essen, gerade die Burger sind top. Leider wurden ein paar Burger von der Karte genommen. Die Getränke sind auch super, allerdings gibt es nun kein Augustiner mehr, sondern Bayreuther, schade drum.. Die Preise sind schon etwas hochpreisiger. Der Service könnte manchmal etwas schneller sein. Oft steht nur eine Person hinter der Bar, dadurch kann man schon einmal gerne bis zu 20 min auf seine Getränke warten. Außen wurde das ganze Ambiente mit Blumenkästen verschönert, leider kann ich aus Erfahrung sagen, dass die Pflanzen nicht gerade Allergiker freundlich sind, ansonsten schöne Idee! Dann ist da allerdings noch das Problem mit den Ratten in den Büschen. Hier muss doch mal eine Lösung für gefunden werden.

Qualität hat leider sehr nachgelassen. Miserabler Service, langes Warten, warmer Wein, Getränke und Essen auf der Karte häufig nicht mehr verfügbar. Leider schon von einigen gehört, denen es nach dem Essen schlecht ging.

Erwartet nicht zu viel vom Essen. Hatten die Burger und es war nicht sehr besonders. Die Pommes und Saucen muss man extra nehmen und das treibt leider den Preis viel zu unnötig in die Höhe. Dazu kam das wir über 40min auf das Essen gewartet haben.

Nachtrag: Leider gibt es jetzt eine neue Karte und die zwei kleinen Burger können nicht mehr bestellt werden. Das Burger Brötchen ist jetzt auch ein anderes. Die tollen kleinen asiatischen Burger sind nur noch ein normaler Burger, schade! Wir kommen immer sehr gerne hier hin. Die Burger sind super lecker und das Personal sehr nett. Selbst wenn es mal ein Problem gibt, kann man es einfach ansprechen und es wird einem geholfen. Tip Top danke!

Essen hat gut geschmeckt jedoch mussten wir uns zwischen zwei anderen Tische setzen wo schon welche saßen ,Tisch an Tisch. Ich finde man sollte bisschen mehr Freiheit/Platz haben

Das Essen war in Ordnung, die Auswahl sehr gering. Wurde erst kürzlich auf ein Minimum reduziert. Wir waren 17:45 da und haben 40 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Bei der geringen Auswahl und so früh am Abend hätte ich das schneller erwartet. Preis ist sehr happig gewesen - der Beyond Burger kostet knapp 15€ ohne Pommes. Wo gibt’s Burger ohne Pommes? Schaut gerne auf dem Bild, wie groß der Burger war 😇✌️

Vielfältige Auswahl an leckeren Burgern, schneller Service und gute Preise. Location direkt an einer lauten Straße nicht so nice aber trotzdem empfehlenswert!

Kurzbewertung: Aussehen 10/10 Geschmack 9/10 Textur 10/10 Preis/Leistung 8/10 - 18,3 Euro Bedienung/Service 10/10 Ambiente 9/10 Wartezeit ca. 20min Insgesamt Food 9,25/10 Insgesamt Location. 9,5/10 Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und trotz einer Verspätung von 20 Minuten war unser Tisch trotzdem noch reserviert. Die Bedingungen waren alle sehr freundlich. (10/10) Das Restaurant ist zwar relativ klein, aber es ist sehr gemütlich. Die Einrichtung ist sehr stimmig, das kaputte Bild an der Wand hätte man jedoch austauschen oder abhängen können. (9/10) Bestellt wurde ein Buttermilk Chicken Burger mit Crunch Fries und Chili Mayo. Das besondere bei dem Buttermilk Chicken Burger ist die Koriandercreme. Der Burger sah perfekt aus. Ein leicht angeröstetes Burger Brötchen, frischer Koriander, goldbraunes knuspriges Hühnchen und die verschiedenen Soßen rundeten das Aussehen des Burgers ab. Die Pommes waren schön goldbraun frittiert und sahen beim bloßen Hinsehen schon extrem knusprig aus. (10/10) Beim ersten reinbeißen wurde dies auch bestätigt und die Pommes machen ihren Namen alle Ehre. Knusprigere Pommes hatte ich sonst noch nirgendwo. Das Burger Brötchen war schön fluffig, der Koriander und Salat war knackig frisch und das Hühnchen war extrem knusprig. (10/10) Das lecker gewürzte Hühnchen mit dem frischen Koriander und den Soßen ergaben einen sehr ungewöhnlichen, aber außergewöhnlich gutem Geschmack. Die Chilimayo war ebenso perfekt. Leckere Mayo mit einer leichten Chilinote. Nicht zu mild, nicht zu scharf. Eine perfekte Ergänzung zu den leicht gesalzenen Pommes. Lediglich etwas mehr Soße auf dem Burger hätte ich mir gewünscht. (9/10) Das Ganze hat insgesamt 18,3 Euro gekostet, was echt ein stolzer Preis ist. Dafür war die Qualität jedoch echt sehr gut und das Essen wahnsinnig lecker. (8/10) Somit ergibt sich eine Gesamtbewertung für Food von 9,25/10 und für die Location eine 9,5/10. Kombiniert in Google Sternen bedeutet das 5 von 5 Sternen. TheGoodHood ist wirklich ein Restaurant was man nicht überall findet. Ich spreche hier eine klare Empfehlung aus und werde dort definitiv das ein oder andere mal vorbeischauen! Sehr leckeres Essen! Aber es war voll, laut, ungemütlich und hat lange gedauert.

Wie immer super. Perfect um burger zu essen. Manchmal muss man bisschen warten aber das ist auch okay.

Also an sich ist das Ambiente nicht schlecht, jedoch fand ich es etwas enttäuschend, als ich bei meinem ersten Besuch da war und Zutaten für das Gericht, welches ich essen wollte, gefehlt haben. Obendrein hatte ich einen Ingwer-Minze-Tee bestellt, welcher wie heißes Minz-Wasser schmeckte und sehr wenig nach Ingwer (vielleicht wurde auch das falsche geliefert, Minz-Tee ggf?). Wäre echt toll, wenn beim nächsten Besuch die Verfügbarkeit von Zutaten und die Richtige Bestellung gegeben sein würden.

Das Restaurant ist optisch sehr schick, sobald man seinen Tisch zugewiesen bekommt muss man sich zwischen andere Gäste durchdrängen, es ist wirklich sehr sehr eng! Ich habe Gyoza und einen veganen Burger bestellt, der Burger war super klein+flach und dafür muss man 14€ zahlen??? Ich bin hungrig in das Restaurant gegangen und hungrig rausgegangen. Es war echt lecker, aber 14€ für einen flachen Burger kann ich nicht verstehen. Zudem war es auch wie in den anderen Rezensionen zu lesen echt kalt! Für die Preise und die Kälte muss ich zwei Sterne abziehen.
