Nice service, good food, casual mixed crowd. Basically highly recommended. Unfortunately, it has now become a bit (too?) expensive (several price increases in a short period of time).

Gilberts is a charmingly quaint restaurant with an extensive, classic menu. We were looking forward to high-quality dishes and decided on the duck breast and the game ragout. Unfortunately, the disappointment was great: the game dish was tough and full of fibers, the duck breast offered little meat and seemed unimaginative overall - that was disappointing for a price of 31 euros. What should be positively highlighted is the very friendly service, which was always attentive and courteous. Although our choice this time wasn't convincing, we could imagine coming back - but then more for schnitzel or other simple dishes, which are probably the better choice here.

We were here for the first time today. The ambience/decor was very rustic and we quickly felt at home. The service was very nice and even though it was busy, the food came really quickly. Today we decided together on the schnitzel with hollandaise and fried potatoes, it was incredibly tasty!! Try these fried potatoes! We'll definitely be back and will definitely bring a few more hungry people with us 😊

The food was fantastic. We had fried Maultaschen, spaetzle with schnitzel. Just make sure you have cash with you, as card payments are not possible.

Since I was in the area that evening, we deliberately chose this restaurant based on the reviews. Basic problems: Parking situation rather difficult; The restaurant does not accept card payments. The ambience: really rustic pub with a feel-good factor! Somehow time has stood still here (given the condition of the toilets too...). The restaurant is also very popular; every table was occupied. Great, incredibly friendly service! The selection of dishes is large, and there is also something for vegetarians. We had eggplant cordon bleu, cheese spaetzle and sausage salad. Absolutely nothing to criticize in terms of taste, very nicely prepared too. However, I deducted one star because of the prices. I actually find it borderline. A normal schnitzel for over 20 euros, bottled beer beyond 5 euros is quite daring... Otherwise: great location!

If you love delicious rustic food, would like friendly service and like a cozy atmosphere, this restaurant is the right place for you! The food was served to us surprisingly quickly by a very friendly waiter (but we also came in late in the evening when most of us were already sitting in front of the PC or TV). This restaurant is characterized by a very positive, friendly vibe.

At first I thought it was a dingy bar. Like the golden glove on Hamburger Berg. No, everything is different here. Nice service and most importantly, the food is very good! Had a hollandaise schnitzel and it was worth every penny. My wife took a rump steak and was also very satisfied. We can recommend this restaurant in good conscience.

Ancient Hendsemer restaurant. Even my grandfather drank his beer before around 1950. There's still a bit of a drag in the first room. This will probably be pleasant in summer. To eat? Very very tasty. The selection is also larger again. The waitress sees everything 😀. We always enjoy coming here

Uriges Lokal ohne Abzocke. Trotz reichlich hohem Gäste-Aufkommen blieb das Personal absolut freundlich und "sortiert". Klasse Leute. Essen war sehr lecker und normalpreisig.

Ein Gasthaus wie es sein soll, zuvorkommende Bedienung, freundlich, um die Gäste bemüht. Das Essen kam zeitnah und war sehr gut, sowohl vom Geschmack als auch von der Portionsgröße. Das Preisleistungsverhältniss ist gut. Nur gibt es nur zwei Pilssorten, aber dennoch lecker. Danke, ich komme gerne wieder

Kann nicht oft genug betonen, wie sehr wir dieses Restaurant lieben. Der Service ist so unglaublich aufmerksam und freundlich, das ist ja leider eine Seltenheit geworden. Das Essen schmeckt unglaublich lecker, egal was wir bestellen, es ist jedesmal wieder herausragend. Besonders zu empfehlen: Der süße Flammkuchen zum Dessert. schöner Biergarten & der Flammkuchen ist super leider mittlerweile sehr teuer

Richtig schönes Lokal - gemütlich, urig aber nicht ranzig, sehr gutes Essen, super nette Bedienung, man kann auch Essen abholen. Super gute Bratkartoffeln und Wurstsalat ist Weltklasse!

Im historischen Ambiente ist dieses nette Restaurant untergebracht, was sich auch im inneren eindrucksvoll präsentiert. Die sehr ordentliche Wirtshausküche bietet neben Käsespätzle, Schnitzelvariationen auch Salate oder Flammkuchen an. Alles ist sehr schmackhaft und wird vom zuvorkommenden Service gekrönt. Einzig ein bisschen wärmer könnte es im Gastraum durchaus sein.

Essen ist toll wenns denn warm am Tisch ankommt

Wir haben zu Abend gegessen und waren nicht nur vom Essen sehr angetan, sondern auch der Freundlichkeit - oder besser der Fröhlichkeit - des Teams. Schön war auch zu sehen, dass offensichtlich viele Menschen aus der Nachbarschaft hierher kommen und das Publikum schön bunt gemischt war.

Der Service ist einzigartig, das Essen schmeckt hervorragend und der Biergarten sehr gemütlich. Ich empfehle jedem hier vorbei zu schauen. Es lohnt sich in jeder hinsicht. Komme gerne wieder, weiter so✌️

Nice and cosy but it’s 2022 and you should accept card. It’s a great place to get good local food. There’s a cute bier garden on the back. Inside is also very typical. However, was almost caught by surprise when they said “no card, cash only”. I really don’t understand.

Wir wurden sehr nett begrüsst und die urige Atmosphäre war angenehm. Das Essen kam auch ziemlich zackig und war Spitzenklasse - hausgemachte Spätzle sehr zu empfehlen. Zum Abschluss wurde uns ein leckeres Mousse au Chocolat serviert. Es gibt einfach nichts zu bemängeln.

Auf der Suche nach einem gemütlichen Plätzchen zum Abendessen sind wir zufällig im Gilberts gelandet und waren gleich beim Eintreten begeistert. Das freundliche Personal hat uns schnell einen Sitzplatz organisiert. Die urige Atmosphäre und das leckere Essen haben zu einem gelungenen Abschlussabend unseres Urlaubs und Heidelberg-Aufenthalts beigetragen! Unbedingt zu empfehlen!!!

dans le quartier de Handschuhsheim . Nous sommes venus par hasard et sur les bons conseils des serveurs sympas de Alt Hendesse car ils étaient complets. Nous nous sommes régalés et le lieu était chaleureux, la salle sympa ; nous ne sommes pas allés dans le Biergarten. Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait la possibilité de manger dehors. Service très sympa et souplesse pour partager les plats. Je recommande cet établissement : les meilleurs Käsespätzle de toute la semaine et j'ai toujours recherché ailleurs la qualité du gratin de Gilbert's !
