Very good food, very nice service and a boss with his heart in the right place!

We have been there several times as the beer garden is not far from us. So far we've always liked it. The food tastes very tasty and the service is really good. The waiters are always very friendly and personable. Today on Mother's Day it was very busy and the service still didn't let it bother us. Always happy!

Was there again after a long time and was pleasantly surprised.

Yesterday we were in the beer garden and first ordered spare ribs, which we shared and then a portion of Kaiserschmarrn. The spare ribs tasted very good...but the portion was subpar! They were baby spare rips. 10 ribs with very little meat...2 of which were only covered in skin! There were also fries! We immediately complained about this small portion and Marco, the waiter, gave us a very blunt answer...we would have eaten the portion for two! At a price of just under €20, the price-performance ratio is not right. Afterwards came the Kaiserschmarrn, which was served pretty burnt. As compensation we received 2 schnapps for this! This place actually has potential, but that's not possible! We hope that our review will be taken seriously and that management will address the issue! Otherwise everything will go back to the way it was with the previous owner!

Went to Wöllinger's 2 weeks ago. We were impressed by the service. We were told when we made the reservation that they were looking forward to seeing us (when in Munich is that the case?) and when we arrived at the inn we were greeted with: It's nice that you're here, we wish you a nice evening. That's rare:) The snack board is of excellent quality, unfortunately the raw ham is cut very thick...Otherwise everything is good!"

Chic Bavarian tavern atmosphere with friendly service and short waiting times. The food could have been fresher, but the waiting times were short.

There has been a new tenant on the Wöllinger for around 1.5 years. We as ourselves. After several visits, craftsmen can only say that it is simply great in terms of price and performance.

The service and ambience were both good. However, in our opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right. I had a large rhubarb spritzer for a whopping €6.50, as well as a really rather bad Caesar salad for a standard Munich price of €18, which had a boring taste (the salad dressing tasted watery) and the chicken was dry. A real disappointment for me, because I've had much better ones. Likewise, you don't get any bread with the salad, which is what I'm used to and that's why I wasn't really full.

We stopped here briefly on our way to Garmisch, good food, friendly service and a nice beer garden. Thank you!

We celebrated my birthday at WÖLLINGER on Saturday evening - 10 people - including walker drivers and also children - it was fantastic. The service - Daniela was simply a dream - had everything under control - went super quickly - even though it was very, very well attended inside - I estimate around 100 guests - THANKS to Dani And THANKS to the pretty girl Nadine at the bar - she handled the many guests really well - 2 great girls in service. And the food was excellent - we enjoyed everything from roast pork, trout, boiled beef, bowl, mountaineer schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn. Thank you very much and absolute recommendation ❤❤❤

Very good economy, in the middle of Munich, easy to reach, quiet location, nice beer garden, very good food, low prices.

After 15 years of absence from the Wöllinger, a new tenant and new staff have now been at the Wöllinger for a few weeks. After an extremely friendly welcome from the restaurant manager, we were spontaneously given a table for two without a reservation - the waitress *a very nice young man* kindly accompanied us to the table and immediately took the drink order. The beer was freshly tapped, Ayinger *****, the food was ordered - very classic fresh and hot + large portions - the roast pork is one of the best we have eaten in the last 40 years, the coleslaw was great - my onion roast was on point with great fried potatoes, the side salad was great and tasted good, the liver dumplings in beef soup - great. In short, the service is very friendly and on the ball - that's how we love the Wöllinger. We last visited it 12 years ago because the old tenant and the food was a disaster - we are all the more pleased and that our former living room has become so great again. Thanks to the entire team today and the restaurant unfortunately who neatly taps the beer and is exceptionally friendly. A pub like before with fantastic food and great staff. We'll be back 100%, you deserve 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Stay like that! Michael and Brigitta

I like the dark green walls and the dark wood inside, the food tastes very good, totally delicious and yummy, the portions and prices are good, the service is nice and it's also very nice to linger outside in the pub garden.

I can recommend this place without reservations. Above all, the service was great. Fast, attentive, super friendly and gives you the feeling of being a regular on your first visit and that you will be served accordingly courteously. Two thumbs up!

After the change of operator, we want to go back to Wöllinger. We have been here several times in the past. The food is still very good and the service is extremely friendly. Children are very welcome. Still, highly recommended. 👍🏼🙂

ADDENDUM AFTER CHANGE OF TENANT: The food was good, the service can definitely be improved. The waiter was very inattentive and initially forgot what was ordered. Had to ask again. (There were only two of us). Then the starter (soup) was served at the same time as the main course. As a result, the main course becomes cold. When asked if he could please take the main course with him again because he didn't want to eat it cold, he did so but also rolled his eyes. Ordering drinks was difficult because sometimes people simply overlooked (or perhaps ignored). In the end it is reflected in the tip. If the service gets even better then I would recommend the Wöllinger. 1 star because the toilets no longer stink. But that's the only good thing about Wöllinger. We had reserved for 2 people, it worked out well. It was a large table and we were given the (very) manageable menu straight away. We weren't asked if we wanted something to drink. After about 20 minutes the waitress came and asked if she could sit two more people at the table with us. They were also immediately asked what drink they wanted. We were still thirsty. When the others' drinks came (about 15 minutes later) we took the liberty of asking if we could order something too. We chose a currywurst with fries (€9.80) and a summer salad with corn-fed chicken strips (€12.80). After about an hour the food came. The summer salad consisted of 5 lettuce leaves carelessly slapped onto the plate, 1 (!!!!) quartered cocktail tomato, 2 slices of cucumber, some grated carrot and 3 slices of pickles from the jar. The corn chicken strips (4 mini pieces) were cold. Bread with salad? None!! There was no response to the criticism. We had to order more drinks ourselves at the bar because the waitress was extremely overwhelmed. We then ordered the Kaiserschmarrn (€16.80 for 2 people) from another waiter, who only took about 45 minutes to bring it. Covered in raisins and completely burnt. The criticism of this was once again laughed away. At another table a lady waited in vain for cutlery. She had to eat her Leberkas with her hand because otherwise it would have gotten completely cold. I've been there several times before, but that was definitely the last time

Nice ambience, good service, unfortunately the food falls a little short of expectations. Rubber dumplings for the otherwise passable roast pork and very raw coleslaw. The neighbors at the table had similar experiences with the dishes. The schnapps provided doesn't help that much either.

The new Wöllinger is the best thing that could have happened to us Sendlingers. Host and staff perfect, friendly and in a good mood. 👍👍👍 There were 3 girls (older ones) today and we felt very comfortable, which means we would like to come back.

Ate blood and liver sausage Groestl with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. It tasted good but during the night it became clear that something was spoiled. Next time I'll check the kitchen first.

I had the great pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere is authentically Bavarian, warm and inviting – exactly what you want from a real pub. The food was of the highest quality and lovingly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the traditional dishes, which not only tasted excellent but were also beautifully prepared. The roast pork and were an absolute dream! The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is perfect. The service also deserves high praise: friendly, attentive and always with a smile on their faces. You really feel like a valued guest here. For anyone who loves or wants to get to know Bavarian cuisine, this restaurant is an absolute must. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it!

Bavarian inn, more or less “on” the Luise-Kisselbach tunnel. Anyone who knows the area from countless traffic jams during rush hour will be surprised at how beautiful and “green” it is here today. Extremely friendly staff, who... critical reviews are incomprehensible. The Kasspatz'n were very good, freshly made, as was the salad. Unfortunately we didn't have any more. Probably a lot of regular guests. Prices for Munich are cheap. When the weather is nice there is a pub garden, if it's full it might get a little more hectic, but today it was 5 well-deserved stars in every respect. Lots of free parking spaces in the area, don't forget your parking disc. Addition: There has probably been a change of tenant in the meantime, duck and veal Viennese schnitzel are also very good. Prices very cheap compared to the south of Munich! Very dog ​​friendly. Unfortunately you can't give extra points for this 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶.

This was my second time at the Wöllinger Wirtshaus. There was a recent change of tenant there. In this cozy Bavarian inn there are professionals at work in all areas who know what they do. The price-performance ratio is very good. The food is extremely tasty and the portions are very generous. The waiting times were moderate, even though the inn was well attended. The service was attentive and hospitable. The sanitary facilities are clean. Wöllinger is easy to reach by car, but also by public transport. I would recommend a seat reservation. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Wöllinger Wirtshaus.

Were there today for the first and certainly not the last time since the change of tenant. Finally the Wöllinger is in good hands again. Great service and delicious food at reasonable prices.

The service at the Wöllinger Wirtshaus was very friendly and offered us a place at a long table even without a reservation. We ordered a “Wiener Style” schnitzel and a Caesar salad. Both not bad, but not special either and the salad was honestly very little and bland for the price. Although you can sit in a cozy atmosphere with a delicious beer in the inn, the food didn't convince us, especially in terms of price-performance.

Everything fits! Good Bavarian inn. Funny, the menu written in Bavarian. Lovingly furnished. Friendly service team. In summer you can sit outside. Clean toilets. Easy to reach by bus.

Was there today for the first time in a long time. Must give a clear compliment. Very personable waiter. Very large selection, the chef knows his craft. I ate a beef roulade that was a generous portion for 14.80 euros. Unfortunately they have an Ayinger brewery contract. Well then you just have to drink wine. It's not bad.

Top recommendation: Excellent cuisine, extremely pleasant interaction with all guests, charming, appropriate ambience. And parking is also possible here. Ideal hub on the way to or from the city of Munich. We, a family of four, would love to come back.

Now there's another change of tenant and this time it's the right one. A top innkeeper with fantastic service and great cuisine!!! We were thrilled across the board and would love to come back. After around 10 years of mismanagement under various landlords, this beautiful restaurant in a prime location has finally found a worthy tenant. The cuisine is now excellent and the service leaves nothing to be desired, so you will now really enjoy coming here again. Anyone who knows and appreciates the "Fat Man" can expect the same quality here, as both inns are run by the same tenant. Conclusion: Highly recommended! I wish you continued success.

After reopening on November 1st, 2024 with a new landlord. Were there today with several colleagues. I have to say the hospitality was super friendly, the drinks came very quickly, a good selection of food had a lot of different things and everyone was really happy everyone said the meat tasted great, it was very good, you couldn't find fault with any of the food. The dessert was Kaiserschmarren a dream, many thanks to the whole team and the waiter, very friendly, quick and ready to joke 👍 so keep it up, thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back, highly recommended ***** Now put the new homepage online and it will be completely perfect. After the tenant change at the beginning of November, we wanted to see for ourselves the new situation - and were pleasantly surprised. A lot has improved compared to before. Despite the large crowds, the service was always friendly, even if it seemed a bit unrehearsed at times. The food was excellent: great in taste and fair value for money. We hope that this level will be maintained and that the Wöllinger will become a popular meeting place again! If the very bright lighting is dimmed a little, the atmosphere is really rustic.

We were there spontaneously last night after the nearby Christmas market. The food was great and the nice lady in the service was incredibly attentive, friendly and simply nice. It's great that a new landlord has revived the Wöllinger. We'll be back. Only the lighting was quite or too bright and seemed a bit uncomfortable, but that's a matter of taste.

Atmosphere there was quite a smell of gas in the air, the service was stopped, probably gassed and I don't know the food due to gassed employees... I didn't get my roast pork >:(

Super tasty food, unfortunately my cheese spaetzle had a bit too little cheese or artificial cheese, so I deducted a point. The price is about right for Munich standards, but for €12.60 I can ask for real cheese spaetzle. Since I made a reservation with several people, I was a bit lost as a single person. But overall I was satisfied. Great atmosphere and a bit more modern, unfortunately I have to say if several people are very loud it becomes unpleasant.

The boss came by every now and then and asked how we were doing. We had wonderful drinks, fresh cold wonderful food and dessert, which was simply wonderful for the eyes and sensational in terms of taste and now we were there for more than 4 hours until shortly after 10 p.m. and had such a lovely evening and were so positive and and relaxed and really had such a nice evening thanks to the music. A quiet place, welcoming both outside and inside. Good and plentiful dishes. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommendable. I'm surprised at the other negative reviews about this place, evidently they are people who don't understand much about restaurants.

Beer garden visit, drank 1 anniversary beer, Service and beer garden are recommended, Quiet, cozy beer garden not far from Luise Kieselbach Platz, very friendly staff. Cozy ambience in Munich tavern style. No explicit assessment of the food was possible because nothing was eaten, but what was consumed at the neighboring tables definitely aroused interest and was convincing with its generous portions

Reservierung mit 5 Personen. Biergarten mit Musik. Wir saßen nahe dran aber konnten uns gut unterhalten. Die erste Bestellung der Getränke hat länger gedauert. Ab da war die Servicekraft aufmerksam und der Service war flott. Bis auf ein Gericht war der Rest lecker und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Werde bestimmt bald wieder hingehen.

We celebrated a birthday and were 8 people. We waited up to 2 hours for the food. No communication when the food comes. To tide us over, we were served 3 dry pretzels with some Obatzda for 8 people. After the food finally came, the roast pork was inedible and cold, the dumpling was soggy and the coleslaw was completely missing. Wasn't submitted later either. As an apology we were served Kaiserschmarrn, which didn't deserve the name. It was very disappointing. Especially since transparent communication would have made up for a lot, e.g. that you would have left earlier and not waited 2 hours hungry for food. Never again Wöllinger!

Catastrophe. Waited over two hours for the food. Qualitatively subterranean. Never again.

Unfortunately, quite a bankruptcy. The Aperol spritz felt like it was 90% water - most of it ice cubes. I ordered ice cubes with the white wine. Me and my girlfriend (who didn't order ice cubes) were served the wine with 3 ice cubes each. Of course this saved money on wine. That's a disgrace. The roast pork, dumplings and sauce weren't bad. However, everything was lukewarm on plates that had not been preheated. The coleslaw was soggy and way too sweet. You can really ask for more for the prices quoted. It's a shame because the restaurant is in a good location and has a nice beer garden.

First we sat at a dirty table for ten minutes before we were discovered and given cards. We were then allowed to order drinks, but we were told that no orders were being accepted for the kitchen at the moment because it would be overloaded. Another ten minutes later we were able to order food. We ordered two dishes, which we then waited 90 (!) minutes for. However, dish 1 came out five minutes earlier than dish 2. The food was okay in terms of quality, but disappointing in terms of quantity. At least we were offered a round of coffee and/or schnapps when we said so.
