Incredibly delicious and friendly

A highly recommended restaurant in the center of Balingen, next to the town church. Good food and attentive service. Always a pleasure.

The restaurant is located a bit off the beaten path in a quiet location and is beautifully decorated. You're greeted warmly as soon as you enter – the hospitality and ambiance are a big plus. We arrived right at opening time, which might explain why it was a little chilly at our table. The menu is very well explained, and you can also get a good impression of the dishes from their Instagram page. Food and drinks arrived quickly, the selection is exceptional, and the food is delicious. The khinkali could have been presented with a bit more care, and the appetizers could have used a touch more seasoning. All in all, it was a very pleasant evening with good food – a bit pricey and lacking that certain something extra, but still highly recommended.

A very friendly hostess and cook, the food is tasty and rustic. The menu is small, with delicious Swabian specialties, and there's something for everyone. I had the Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast beef), which is unbeatable value for money. The portions are really generous, so you can go there even if you're very hungry; you'll definitely be full. I highly recommend it; I advise everyone to call ahead and make a reservation before going.
