One of the few inns with regional cuisine that are still open during the day. Atmosphere cozy, staff friendly and the food tasty, what more could you want. We had the 2 Maultaschen in gravy with a salad buffet for €15.50. Recommended.

Spontaneous action: old saw Saturday evening, after 7 p.m. and without a reservation, despite the house being full, we received a friendly welcome and a place was found for us. ☺️ Super friendly staff and very attentive. Drinks were at the table quite quickly. Side salad was fresh and tasty. We were completely satisfied with our food. Portions were sufficient. The waiting time for the food was perfectly fine. (I've already experienced it differently) Nothing stands in the way of a next visit😉

Actually only discovered by chance, but more than “just” satisfied. The atmosphere is great The service is very friendly, nice and accommodating but unobtrusive. The menu is clear and all the dishes we have eaten so far were very well prepared and tasted very good. Everyone in the restaurant is very child friendly. The prices are reasonable. I can really recommend it and look forward to my next visit!

My visit there was coincidental (i.e. I was there without registering). Was given an absolutely warm welcome and service was super attentive and friendly! We were here on Sunday afternoon after a hike and were very positively surprised. very nice atmosphere in a winter garden, interesting menu with Portuguese influences. The portions were large and excellently prepared.

We celebrated our "small" civil wedding there. There were 33 of us and we were ALL completely satisfied and thrilled. The families with small children loved how well the staff treated the children and the families with dogs were thrilled with how they treated the dogs. The communication in advance was very good and very accommodating. The decoration was implemented exactly as we wanted. The food was great! We are completely satisfied and happy to have had such a beautiful wedding. Many thanks to the whole team!

Unfortunately, I got an almost raw beef steak, which on top of that counted so much waiting that I couldn't eat it. The sauce was too salty. My wife's steak wasn't any better either. The marinade for the salad wasn't good either. I will no longer enter this restaurant. 👎

We had reserved. Drinks came quickly. Long waiting time for food, taste disappointing to not enough. A fellow guest only wanted different vegetables and was rejected without comment. Waited 45 minutes for ice cream and coffee and only brought it after a strong complaint Old saw, never again

Yesterday we went to the old saw for the first time. The food was really TOP, the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. It is very comfortable both inside and outside.

We were 4 people and were welcomed and served very friendly. :-) The food was perfect. Both the salmon in dumplings and two rump steaks, each with different cooking times perfectly implemented. In this way, praise again to the kitchen. The only drawback: it was very warm that day and a fan would be a suggestion for improvement inside.

Dogs are welcome here 🐶 I had reserved a table for two people plus a dog. We were greeted very friendly and escorted to the table. There was even a dog bed and water bowl ready for the dog. Very attentive. Bella was happy 🐶 The food was also very tasty, of course. The shrimp pan is recommended. 😋

We spontaneously went to the Alte Säge after a lovely mountain bike tour on the Hörnle/Lochentrail. The food was really excellent: the composition of the dishes, the quality of the ingredients and the perfect preparation (fresh, crunchy vegetables, delicately seasoned sauces and dressing), everything was perfect. An absolute culinary highlight. Very friendly service! Thank you very much for this experience, we would love to come back!

Went here for lunch on Sunday lunchtime. Everything was very good, nice service and quick food and really tasty. Sufficient portions and very good value for money. To recommend: shrimp pans and rump steak. We'll be happy to come back!

Hello everyone. First I'll briefly look at everything and then draw a conclusion. The welcome from the staff was very friendly. We had reserved, but the assigned table was a bit cramped. When we asked, we were offered something else without any major effort, which was very welcome. Staff: friendly, eloquent and always ready. By the way, permanently! 👍 Food: Delivered to the table quickly after ordering and in very good quality. When I asked, this was confirmed several times by all participants. A meal was delayed a little for unknown reasons, but to compensate we were offered a digestif/choice of ice cream or espresso or... afterwards. All in all a successful evening. I am very pleased.

We went out to eat twice, the last time on February 18th and I have to say never again! The duck leg I had was simply dry on the outside and the bone wasn't cooked through. Child-friendly equals 0! And when there are bad recessions, you can talk about your head and neck. Really weak! We were eight people. The sauce was missing from the Jägerschnitzel, the other schnitzel was tough, the little one was completely forgotten, Ländchen was dry. The little ones' food was then prepared upon request and arrived when everyone had already finished eating (at least the food wasn't charged for).

We were there for the second time, after I was totally disappointed the first time when I had to look for the mushrooms to go with the Jägerschnitzel. On the second visit, both the food and the service were even more disappointing. My pork loins were a small portion and just dry. My husband's duck leg wasn't exactly big either and it was also very dry and the red cabbage didn't taste great either. The spaetzle, the sauce and the small salad are praiseworthy. So then the thing that didn't work at all was my son eating children. We specially ordered something for him, the food was forgotten and only quickly prepared when we asked and then when we had finished eating and my son was of course full of our food. At least it was subsequently removed from the bill. We certainly won't be coming back - neither the food nor the service could convince us. The thing about the children's meal is true, we didn't notice that because we were no longer there when the bill was paid! This was actually no longer calculated as a courtesy. I'll definitely leave the rest as it is.

Richtig tolles Restaurant. Service war schnell und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist rustikal aber schön. Essen war richtig gut. Es war ein gelungener Besuch und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen. Gute Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten. Karte ist überschaubar aber alles dabei was man braucht. Sehr zu empfehlen 😍

Waren heute das erste mal hier. Definitiv nicht das letzte mal. Essen war super lecker, die Portionen sehr groß, hier muss keiner hungrig gehen (haben die Reste mitbekommen). Das Ambiente ist sehr schön rustikal, der Service unglaublich freundlich. Unser fast 2 jähriger Sohn bekam ein Malbuch für die Wartezeit, bekam das Essen als erstes, und durfte nach dem Essen hinter den Tresen laufen, alles erkunden und bekam Süßigkeiten und einen "shot" aufs Haus. Haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt 👍🏻 Wir wünschen einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr und bis zum nächsten mal.

Wir waren heute mit der Familie zum Weihnachtsessen dort. Sehr leckeres Essen und hungrig verlässt hier definitiv keiner das Lokal😉. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Auch der Service ist mega freundlich. Es hat wirklich alles gestimmt und dazu beigetragen das dieser 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag rundum gelungen war.💪🥰

Heut zum ersten Mal da gewesen, tolles Ambiente, super freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter, kinderfreundlich ( haben zu Beginn als wir kamen für beide Kinder ein Malbuch und Stifte bekommen ). Die Wartezeit bis das Essen kam war wirklich sehr kurz, Teller sehr schön angerichtet, Portionen mehr als ausreichend, Geschmack und Qualität der Speisen wirklich sehr sehr gut. Preis/Leistung absolut in Ordnung. Werden sicher wieder kommen P.s zum Abschluss gab es als Dankeschön für das gute Benehmen unserer Kinder für beide noch ein kleines Geschenk. Sowas habe ich wirklich noch nie erlebt. Nochmals vielen vielen Dank auch im Namen unserer Kinder und vielen Dank für den tollen Abend in Ihrem tollen Restaurant

Please find the English version below War gestern zum ersten Mal hier. Service war OK. Da ich im Ausland lebe kann ich nicht viel sagen aber über die Preise für meine Verhältnisse war es ok. Das Essen war schon angerichtet, gute Portionen, aber. Medium sollte nicht rare/medium rare sein. Well done sollte nicht bluten. Ich verstehe das ein Fleischstück dieser Größe eigentlich nicht well done kommen kann, aber ein Butterfly cut hilft, oder dann wirklich ablehnen und Well done nicht anbieten. Die Teller waren viel zu kalt. Das Gemüse deshalb genauso kalt. Das Fleisch und die Soße haben darunter auch gelitten . Das ist eine selbst zugefügte Wunde die wirklich nicht sein muss. Bei den Schnitzeln scheiden sich jetzt die Geister. Ich persönlich mag dünne Schnitzel, und die Portionen sahen gut aus, aber ich kenne genug Menschen die etwas mehr Substanz mögen. Aber da kann ich wirklich nichts negatives sagen. Das allgemeine Ambiente war sehr schön und ich habe mich mit der Bewertung zurück gehalten obwohl die Steaks wirklich bessere Behandlung verdient hätten. This was my first time here. Service was ok. Some in my group were a little conciius regarding pricing but since I live in a different country, for me the prices seemed within reason. A little about the steaks. Good quality cuts, decent sized. But. Medium shouldn't be medium rare/rare. I know it isn't easy catching a cut on the spot but Chef went a little light on the heat not only on my cut. Let's be honest a cut that thick can not really be delivered well done. Offer a butterfly cut or decline destroying the meat, anyone who does understand food will accept that and who doesn't should eat Schnitzel. As for the Schnitzel. Some in my group has an issue with the super thin cut (let's be straight the portion was generous) I personally like a thin Schnitzel so this is really not something that can be judged well. But, for the love of good food, for ffs. Heat your plates before you dish. The veggies were cold and the meat and sauce took a hit because of that and that was a shame. That is an easy fix. I am to seldom around to promise a second run to make sure this wasn't a one off situation but I may just come back one day.

Waren gestern zu viert in der alten säge, zum essen. Was soll ich sagen? Von Essen bis Service war alles Perfekt! Wir hatten 3x mal Zwiebelrostbraten und 1x das Holzfällerschnitzel. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war grandios, die geschmolzen Zwiebeln ein Traum und das Fleisch wunderbar zart und auf den Punkt gebracht! Das Schnitzel seehr lecker und gut gewürzt! Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder, vielen dank für den schönen Abend!

Von außen macht die alte Säge auf jeden Fall was her und im Inneren ist ein richtig schönes Ambiente 😉 Das Essen war vorzüglich 👍.. Angefangen vom amuse gueule.. dem Vorspeisensalat und dem Jägerschnitzel, was hauchdünn und absolut hervorragend war. Zum Nachtisch eine Creme brulee 😉 Essen war eine Gaumenfreude und der Service war wirklich top. Danke dafür 😉

5 Sterne sind nicht ausreichend!! Wir waren gestern Abend zum wiederholten Male dort essen. Wirklich von dem Service, der äußerst zuvorkommend und herzallerliebst ist!! Bis zum Essen und dem Ambiente stimmt einfach alles. Wir werden immer wieder kommen und fahren dafür auch gerne ein Stück. P. S.: das Dessert, welches wir gestern als Dankeschön aus der Küche bekommen haben war auch der Wahnsinn und hat uns sehr gefreut. ♥️

Das Restaurant haben wir gestern das erstemal besucht. Das Ambiente war sehr schön und aufgrund der bereits positiven Bewertungen (Online), haben wir uns sehr auf unser Essen gefreut. Das Essen war wirklich super und die Portionen groß. (Kürbissuppe, Maultaschensupppe, Zwiebelrostbraten mit Spätzle, Holzfällerschnitzel mit Pommes und Apfelküchle mit Vanillesoße wurden von uns verzehrt und für sehr gut empfunden) Preis-Leistungsverhältnis 👍 super Das Restaurant ist aus meiner Sicht ein Besuch wert. Ich würde vorher aber immer reservieren.

Top Fleisch mit guten Beilagen zu einem angemessenen Preis

Super freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Rumpsteak und Rinderfilet auf den Punkt. Gemüse perfekt bissfest und Beilagen ebenfalls sehr gut. Kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren in der „Alte Säge“ essen und waren sehr begeistert. Schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen und sehr nettes Servicepersonal! Auch die Vorspeisen Auswahl mit dem Garnelenpfännchen hat uns sehr zugesagt. Auch die Maultaschensuppe war sehr lecker, die Maultaschen sind selbst gemacht. Hauptspeise war natürlich auch mega lecker.

Nettes Restaurant mit Biergarten. Ist gut besucht, Essen ist auch in Ordnung. Leider haben wir zuletzt lange warten müssen, um unser Zeche zu bezahlen.

Das Essen ist einfach lecker, nichts davon scheint "fertig" gekauft zu sein. Das Salat dressing ist eines der besten das ich probieren durfte. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Preislich ist die alte Säge mit dem Angeboten unschlagbar.

Toller, freundlicher und sympathischer Service mit tollem Ambiente (welches man mögen muss, ich liebe es.) Toiletten sind sauber. Das Essen war bei allen Anwesenden mehr als gut. Nur 4 Sterne für das Essen von mir, da mir bei meinem Jägerschnitzel etwas der "Kick" gefehlt hat. Zwiebelrostbraten und alles andere TOP. Vorallem die Kroketten haben herausgestochen. :) Weiter so!
