Gaststätte Forsthaus Markgrafenheide in Rostock

Wir waren am Pfingstsonntag mit der Familie (8 Personen) im Forsthaus Markgrafenheide zu Gast und haben dort einen rundum gelungenen Mittagstisch erlebt. Besonders hervorzuheben möchten wir die freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich sehr gut und mit viel Sorgfalt angerichtet. Man merkt, dass hier mit Herzblut gearbeitet wird. Die beiden jungen Betreiber geben sich große Mühe, ihren Gästen ein schönes Erlebnis zu bieten. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Wer Wert auf gut bürgerliche frische Küche, guten Service und ein engagiertes Team legt, ist im Forsthaus genau richtig. Wir wünschen den Betreibern weiterhin viel Erfolg und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren nach unserer Standesamtlichen Hochzeit hier essen und waren super zufrieden. Der Service war top, die Tische wurden geschmückt. Es hat uns sehr gefallen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Warme Küche leider nur bis 20 Uhr

Das Essen war in Ordnung, der Service allerdings nicht aufmerksam genug. Leere Teller standen länger, Tische wurden nicht richtig gereinigt nachdem der Gast gegangen ist und erschrocken waren wir über die Preise in der Speisekarte, denn man musste die Beilage extra bestellen und auch extra bezahlen.

Die Auszeichnung von" dine & sleep" ,dass das Forsthaus nun zu den 100 besten Restaurants an der Ostseeküste gehört war und ist vollkommen verdient! Seit April 2025 verbringen wir nun den dritten Urlaub in dieser Region und kehren mehrfach in der Woche dort ein. Im Forsthaus werden frische, saisonale und schmackhafte Gerichte zubereitet. Allein der Aufwand, immer wieder die Saucenansätze vom Chef persönlich zubereitet ,herzustellen, der aufmerksame und freundliche Service, die Küchenmannschaft, alles das zusammen ist ein tolles Team ,das durch die Auszeichnung wertgeschätzt wurde. Herzlichen Glückwunsch und weiter so, wir freuen uns auf mehr.

Einmal hat gereicht. Schnitzel von schlechter Qualität. Soße aus der Tüte. Bratkartoffeln viel zu fettig und verbrannt. Tut mir Leid, aber es war einfach nicht gut.

Wir waren das erste mal hier und es war sehr lecker. Definitiv weiter zu empfehlen.

Leider war das Essen nicht so wie man es sich wünscht. Die Beilage muss man extra wählen und dementsprechend extra zahlen. So wird aus einer Scholle mit Beilage mindestens 26€. Für die Qualität nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir waren gerade zum ersten mal im Forsthaus. Sehr zu empfehlen. Die Soljanka war sehr lecker und das Würzfleisch selbstgemacht und fantastisch. Sehr gut finden wir, dass man die Beilage hier extra bestellt, so kann man sie auch einfach weg lassen. Die Leber hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Sehr nett dort, freundliches Personal und Essen sehr lecker. Für mich reichte die Portion für andere vlt nicht. Meiner Freundin reichte es nicht ganz. Also etwas zu klein die Portion. Aber vom Geschmack und Qualität war es sehr gut. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Und schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt es im Garten.

Leckeres Essen, super Service! Sehr Hundefreundlich

Eine tolles Lokal! Essen spitzenmäßig! Gurkensalat wie von Mutti und das Personal ist suuuper freundlich und geht auf alle Extrawünsche ein. Absolute Weiterempfehlung. Wir kehren hier immer ein, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Am besten vorher anrufen und reservieren , weil man sonst hungrig bleibt. Markenzeichen: Retro Hundesalz- und Pfefferstreuer (hässlich, aber total kultig und urig :-)

Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft aber die Beilage war echt klein, da wird ein Erwachsener kaum satt.

Wir waren in großer Gruppe da, wir waren angemeldet und es wurde auch gleich aufgrund des Sonnenstandes die Tische ins rechte Licht gerückt... Nett und freundlich und das Essen war lecker! 👍 Auch das für 24 Personen fast gleichzeitig ist das Essen serviert bekommen haben und alles warm und super lecker war! Besonders der Pulled Bork Burger der Vorspeisen Salat bestand nicht nur aus Tomate Gurke und Paprika, sondern aus vielen verschiedenen Zutaten und ein leckeres Hausdressing! Auch selbstgemachte Mayonnaise war super und die Pommes waren auch sehr knusprig.

Meine Schwester und ich waren letzte Woche dort zu Gast. Wir waren mega zufrieden und haben gleich für den nächsten Tag reserviert. Der Servise ist Top, wir haben uns gleich sehr willkommen gefühlt obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten am ersten Tag. Das Essen war Mega lecker ,die Portionen reichlich und einfach gut!!! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder !

Wir waren als Familie mit 3 Kindern dort essen. Sehr kinderfreundlich, haben gleich Malzeug und einen Hochstuhl gebracht. Die hausgemachte Limonade war super, das Essen war auch prima abgeschmeckt. Leider waren die Bratkartoffeln nur lauwarm und das Schnitzel noch viel zu blass. Das Salatdressing war super und auch die Nachspeisen toll. Wir können das Restaurant gerne weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe im Forsthaus. Das Essen war sehr lecker und alle Wünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Auf die Kinder wurde auch besonders geachtet.

Das Forsthaus ist ein Süßes kleines Restaurant. Mit Vorbestellung wird einem gleich ein Tisch zugewiesen. Essen und Getränke waren lecker und Hunde sind erlaubt.

Nach 6 Monaten haben wir das Forsthaus Margrafenheide wieder in unserem Urlaub besucht.Wir haben zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten dort gegessen und sind wieder einmal nicht enttäuscht worden.Ob Fisch,Wildbraten,Schnitzel, Entenbrust, Grünkohl, Risotto...quer Beet von der Speisekarte, waren von hervorragender Qualität und Geschmack. Es ist durch die schöne Deko (Adventszeit) sehr gemütlich. Das ganze wird durch den sehr freundlichen und kompetenten Service und die Vorfreudea auf das schmackhafte Essen ein Genuss. Ein großes Lob an die Küchencrew, wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch im Mai.....Bitte weiter so.

Sehr leckeres Essen, für jeden Geschmack ist hier was zu finden, was man sich auch leisten kann. Der kreative, selbst gemachte Winterlikör ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist angenehm rustikal, passend zum Forsthaus. Hunde sind hier auch herzlich willkommen. Wir wurden von einem freundlichen und höflichen Team bewirtet. Wir wünschen dem Team viel Erfolg für die Zukunft und wir kommen gerne wieder.

The new team is still getting their restaurant up and running and is gradually renovating. Currently, the dining room still looks as it did under the previous owners. At the beginning of September, we met up with former students from the local school at the Forsthaus. The service was quick and friendly, and everyone clearly enjoyed the food. We'll gladly come back.

Today was our first time dining here. My guests and I were very satisfied. The food and service were excellent. On behalf of myself and my guests, I would like to sincerely thank the waiters and the kitchen staff for the wonderful time we spent together, the delicious food, and the excellent service. We were very impressed with both the service and our food. As guests of the nearby campsite, we returned the following evening because the food is truly excellent. A big thank you from four enthusiastic guests!

In the charming atmosphere of a rustic forester's lodge, there's also a delicious selection of vegetarian dishes, and the team is welcoming, open-minded, and always trying new things. We wish them continued success!

Since the reopening, I've been back to the Forsthaus for the first time today and I'm very pleased. Nothing on my plate came from the freezer or was convenience food. That's unfortunately rare in Warnemünde and the surrounding area. The service was attentive and friendly. If you're looking for entertainment, this isn't the place for you. I prefer a more Nordic atmosphere. The decor is new and fits the "Forsthaus" theme. For me, comfort and cleanliness are more important, and it is. 👍 In short: a great place to stop after a walk. Keep it up!

The restaurant has seen better days, and I've seen better food and more motivated staff. Everything's okay, but the price doesn't match. This only works because there's not much competition at the moment.

We often stayed at the Forsthaus before the change of ownership. Now we've been back for a long time. Unfortunately, our expectations weren't quite met. The service was good, everyone tried very hard. The food was okay. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough to warrant a return visit. Perhaps the food will improve a bit, and then we'd be happy to come back. The price is a bit high, too.

The price/performance ratio is very good. Delicious fried potatoes, good cocktails. The chef could be a bit bolder with the seasoning 😛

We were at the restaurant on Sunday, September 14, 2025, and everything was to our complete satisfaction! We ordered Wiener Schnitzel and a schnitzel with letcho! I was there yesterday and was quite disappointed with the food. The chicken breast was hard and chewy. The Jägerschnitzel had a soggy breading, as the sauce made everything soggy.

The food was plentiful and tasty. I just felt it was missing some sauce or something similar. The server was friendly. The food arrived quickly without a long wait, and the child's special requests were also accommodated.

Fast, good and inexpensive food, the guys are on their toes, keep it up, we'll be back

We were there last night and had a truly delicious meal. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The price is perfectly reasonable for the delicious food. The pub is incredibly quaint, and you feel like you've been transported back to another era. I highly recommend it.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner today, looking forward to some good German cuisine. Unfortunately, the visit was a bitter disappointment. The schnitzel (€17) was returned after just a few bites. The waiter, Mr. Nix, simply took the plate – even though the food was still being eaten – and disappeared with it. There was no response or explanation. After 15 minutes, we went inside ourselves, only to discover that the meal was still being charged in full. When asked, Mr. Nix simply replied that the food was "completely fine." For us as guests, this was a completely disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. It was also particularly disappointing that the schnitzel at the next table also remained untouched, without Mr. Nix or anyone else commenting on it. Apparently, this isn't an isolated incident. We've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant before. One thing is for sure: We won't be back.

If you want a reservation, they tell you to just show up. Once we got there, they asked if we had a reservation. We had to wait a short while until a table became available, which wasn't even cleared afterward. The table was simply ignored, and our hand signals and polite inquiries were ignored. After waiting for over half an hour, we left. Not recommended.

Not recommended! We only give one star for the friendly waiter. The cod in beer batter with fried potatoes was inedible – the fried potatoes were just reheated and mushy, and the fish was just standard frozen food (breading was rock-hard, fish was uncut and dry). The coleslaw was okay, but also tasted like a convenience store product. Not good for the price. We won't be back.

Service: 1 of the 3 waiters was unfortunately very unfriendly, one of whom was the chef. And you should be prepared and order two drinks each as a precaution. After the food arrived, no waiter came. My daughter wanted to order something else, so she was asked to wait outside for the waiter. Unfortunately, he didn't come for more than 10 minutes, but not for us... by then everyone else was finished and we were ready to leave. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the bill, another good 15 minutes had passed. Absolutely not recommended for the price. I had a knuckle of pork with "fried potatoes." The knuckle was okay. The fried potatoes were more like boiled potatoes that had been fried in the pan. The seasoned pork was delicious, but my daughter wanted it without cheese, which isn't available there... The fish fingers with mashed potatoes, peas, and carrots were very small, and the vegetables were carelessly reheated and completely flavorless. The pulled pork burger was very good.

Super nice people, the food tastes excellent...the visit is worth it 😄

Well, we sat for ages until someone served us. We have two small children. The waiter was smoking right next to us, so you go somewhere where the guests can't see it. I think the smoke drifted towards our baby, which wasn't nice either. We had to let them know ourselves until someone came along, and on top of that my food was (extremely) cold and the potatoes weren't the freshest. In the end, no one even asked if we liked it, so here's my answer: no, it didn't, it was the worst restaurant we've been served in, sorry, not again, I come from the catering industry myself.

We were there today with the preschool group from the daycare. Everything just fits. A great team where everything is just right. We also enjoy being there privately. Keep up the good work, guys. We reserved a table for three people (just in case)...for dinner, we had spiced beef, solyanka, plaice, roast venison, and venison goulash... Our special requests (without onions) were immediately accommodated, and we asked about the main course (also without onions?)...the portion sizes are perfectly fine (and nothing too salty), and the prices are reasonable, too...a very pleasant atmosphere that invites you to linger...fast, attentive, and friendly service...we would be happy to return next time we're in the area...

We were there today for the first time since the reopening and were very excited. Our expectations were not disappointed, as we had already been guests before and had a comparison. Service was friendly and attentive, food of the usual quality, ambiance just like in the old days. It's a forester's lodge, and the decor should be the same. We wish the guys continued success and will be back tomorrow evening. Unfortunately, I have to return my positive review; the reservation I made yesterday with the place was not kept. We were simply seated in an uncomfortable side room behind the door. Yes, there were a lot of customers, but they could have told us yesterday that we wouldn't get the seat we wanted. After a brief shock, we left the restaurant. No matter how good the food is, that's not how you treat customers. We're considering whether we'll ever visit this place again. Perhaps they should have come clean beforehand, at the very latest when the guest arrives, and admitted their mistake. We didn't starve, just disappointed with how guests are treated here. We never experienced that with the previous owner.

We were there with 7 people and had great expectations after the reopening. As starters we had spiced meat and solyanka, both were ok. As main courses: 1. Steak aux four - the steak was very dry. The poor pig probably died twice. My ordered mayo and the side salad were only brought after I asked again. 2. Lumberjack steak - fried way too long, absolutely dry and very salty. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes and beans had almost no taste, so overall it was probably balanced. 3. Shank with sauerkraut and potatoes - very good. 4. Pulled pork burger with potato wedges. Burger was great, potato wedges too crispy and no dip 5. Gnocchi with vegetables - sauce absolutely over salted, ordered without mushrooms, delivered with mushrooms. Kind fished the gnocchi out of the sauce for EUR 16.90 and let almost all of the rest go back. 6. Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes - was ok, but the portion was very manageable. 7. Liver with onions - was ok. For dessert we had cheesecake with red jelly and a yogurt mousse with sea buckthorn jelly. The red jelly was incredibly sour, the sea buckthorn jelly was inedible because the consistency was similar to the silicone from our bathroom joints. I have no idea what happened there. The furniture looked like it was from the last century, our table and chairs in a room next to the dining room have seen better days. The service started well, but the bread basket that was initially served with homemade dips was deliberately placed on my cell phone by the waiter, as if he couldn't find another place on the table for his basket. THAT really wasn't clear at all. Afterwards, the waiters didn't seem to know what each other was doing. Worcestershire sauce came twice, as did cutlery for the starters, each with the surprise that it was already at the table. At this point we were the only guests in the house. What should be mentioned positively, however, is that all 7 people received their food at the same time, even though we all had a different dish including different side dishes.

Food was really good, there's definitely still a tick, but we would visit the restaurant again at any time. The staff were really very friendly and helpful.

Not much has changed since the reopening. The design is the same. Food has become expensive and, on the whole, is not convincing.

A good impression begins with a good welcome service and the associated first impression, and focusing on this, it's a mystery to me how this company has received such relatively good reviews so far. On May 17, 2023, we arrived around 6 p.m. and found an empty parking lot and a handful of bicycles in front of the door about two hours before closing time. The two of us wanted to enter the restaurant, but the employee didn't even say "Hello," just a quick "Reserved?" When we said no, the short reply was "only outside then" (note: 13°C, no wind protection). Anyone who thinks they can treat guests like that doesn't need our money. Therefore, we decided to avoid this establishment with its aforementioned outgoing employee for the rest of our vacation and instead invested our money somewhere where guests are still valued. Honestly deserved "0" stars!

Ein guter Eindruck beginnt mit einem guten Willkommensservice und den damit verbundenen ersten Eindruck, und auf diesen fokussiert ist es mir schleierhaft, wie dieses Unternehmen an die bisher relativ guten Bewertungen gekommen ist. Am 17.05.2023 waren wir gegen 18 Uhr dort und fanden etwa zwei Stunden vor Betriebsschluss einen leeren Parkplatz und eine Hand voll Fahrräder vor der Tür vor. Wir, zu zweit, wollten das Restaurant betreten, es reichte dem Mitarbeiter nicht einmal zu einem "Hallo" sondern nur zu einem kurzen "reserviert?" Als wir verneinten war die kurze Antwort "dann nur draußen" (Anm.: 13°, kein Windschutz). Wer, glaubt, so mit Gästen umgehen zu können, braucht unser Geld nicht. Daher beschlossen wir, dieses Etablissement mit besagtem offenherzigen Mitarbeiter auch für den Rest unseres Urlaubs zu meiden, und haben unser Geld lieber dort investiert, wo der Gast noch wertgeschätzt wird. Ehrlich verdiente "0" Sterne!
