The friendliness and quality of the food were OK. What is absolutely incomprehensible to me is that even though we ate and drank with 6 people, we had to pay 3.50 euros for 1 glass of tap water for our child.

The “Gasthof Pfaffensteffl” has a very nice beer garden with a small playground next to it. I really enjoyed the “Bratwurst”. The “Kaspressknödel” were also quite good. The “Schweinshaxe” and the “Thai Curry” were both very decent. I thought the “baked potato” was just decent.

Where all the good reviews come from is a mystery to me. Ate pike perch today - watery with no taste - the supposed white wine sauce tasted totally strange, but not like wine...no lemon - when I asked if I could have some vegetables with it, I was told no - I don't think the store carries vegetables at all. My friend's venison goulash wasn't anything special either (I cook a thousand times better than that) - it doesn't work at all.

Typically Bavarian, rustic Food and selection are very good. Service is excellent.

Roast pork was delicious as always. Unfortunately there's no more salad to go with it now. Of course you can do it that way... charge the same price and just leave out the salad.

Very rustic, cozy restaurant, with a great beer garden in summer. The food is very generous and also delicious. My tip: The Cordon Bleu with fries. Huge portion and tastes simply excellent.

You immediately feel right at home in the rustic restaurant. The service is very friendly, we had the snack board and the sausage salad, both were very tasty. There were various types of cheese and sausage on the board, and the sausage salad was nicely seasoned.

"The myth, the legend, the Pfaffensteffl!" – my friends enthused on the way to the inn after a long hike. And indeed: the staff was friendly and attentive, the waiting time was short and the food was good. The prices are very fair. Could one expect a little more finesse in all areas? Maybe, but probably not at these prices. And...then it wouldn't be an inn anymore. Does the Pfaffensteffl have legendary status for me? No. But as an inn it is a very good choice and I would come back at any time!

We went there for the first time on a recommendation. The ambience and the feel-good atmosphere was not the best. The room seemed empty despite the guests. Nevertheless, we will come back as we were served very friendly. Our smoked pork and salad are really recommended. The dressing in particular was very tasty.

A really grubby pub, not a fancy micki, not a restaurant. The food was really excellent, the young service was extremely committed and friendly. Maybe it's inappropriate or too banal for one or another "Mingara" or tourist, but then just drive to Tölz or back to the city and give it a rest.

A good experience. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, nothing to complain about. Just some minor "inconveniences", like the food is quite expensive, for example the gulash costs 20 euro. The restaurant also had nice waiters and the atmosphere was that of a topical Bavarian restaurant or so called Gasthof. Expect to eat good, comforting food, that's going to make you full. But also be prepared to have a costly meal. Other than that, the restaurant was fournished nicely with comfortable and lots of seating with enough space.

Super Essen zu vernünftigem Preisen

Es war auch in diesem Jahr wieder sehr schön. Sowohl im Sommer wie auch im Winter. Im Winter besser vorher reservieren.

Sehr leckeres, bodenständiges Essen und Getränke. Vegetarische Gerichte und leckeres Fleisch. Rustikal und schön eingerichtet.

Wir haben vor einiger Zeit dort Schnitzel gegessen. Essen und Preis/ Leistung war gut.

Essen hervorragend. Schweinshaxe von der Wollsau. Zwiebelrostbraten, beide Speisen absolut empfehlenswert. Vernünftige, angemessene Preise, liebe, freundliche Bedienungen und gemütliches Ambiente. Wer gute bayerische Küche liebt und beim Pfaffensteffl einkehren möchte, sollte sich die Plätze reservieren lassen, da es sonst sein könnte, dass Stube, Speisesaal und auch der Garten keinen feien Platz mehr bietet!

Waren mehrmals dort zum Essen. War jedes Mal super lecker. Es war richtig gemütlich und wir haben eine herzliche Stimmung erlebt.

Wunderbare Gastwirtschaft! Schöner Biergarten, aber auch innen urig-gemütlich mit guter Atmosphäre! Vernünftige Karte und die Speisen sehr schmackhaft mit guten Produkten zu einem wirklich vernünftigen Preis! Und das Beste, auch der Service stimmt komplett! Sehr nett, höflich, freundlich-zuvorkommend und flink! Geht hin und genießt es!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider sind die Portionen nicht so groß. Wir sind leider nicht satt geworden.

Ich dachte mir ein Zwiebelrostbraten ( ca. 20 € ) wäre ganz recht. Nach kurzer Wartezeit war es dann soweit. Lieblos angerichtet bekam ich den Zwiebelrostbraten der die Form und Größe eines Schnitzels hatte. Dazu gab es Nudeln? in Form von Spirellis. Das wars! Fazit: Leider keine Empfehlung.

Wir waren im Pfaffensteffel zum Abendessen. Hier kann man solide, die zünftige, bayerische Küche genießen. Als Gasthof mit angeschlossener Metzgerei ist die Speisekarte natürlich etwas Fleisch-lastig, aber die Metzgerei liefert gute Fleischqualität, von daher alles "ok". Wir hatten das Schnitzel mit Pommes und den Zwiebelbraten, beides gut und solide gekocht, ohne dabei besonders kreativ zu werden, dazu ein ordentliches Bier. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt hier noch. Zünftiges, gemütliches Ambiente. Unprätentiös und gut.
