The taste of the Maultaschen was average and left me with a suspicion of convenience. A little more egg wouldn't have hurt, but the dish with dip is certainly appealing. The service was friendly and attentive, there is nothing to complain about here, not even in the dining room. The prices were also not negative. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. In addition to the lack of a toilet paper holder and instead a taped-up hole in the wall, you dry your hands with facial tissues, the remains of which you can then wipe off your hands.

Totally great food, incredibly tasty, beautifully decorated and friendly service. I would recommend it to everyone!

If you want to eat a delicious schnitzel in a variety of variations, you've come to the right place. Really delicious. The Schäufele that are carried past you also look good enough to bite into. Service was very quick, hardworking and friendly. Portions really big at fair prices. Online table reservation worked great.

The small Schäufele was dry, the usual crispy crust was drowned in the sauce and lay next to the meat. The menu offered 0.3l beer, but it was served in 0.5l glasses that were only half full: apparently there were no suitable glasses available! The small salad fit into a regular coffee cup. The men's toilet only had a small cardboard box with paper to dry hands. The waitress ate behind the counter and then busied herself intensively with her smartphone. The place was a complete failure!

The food was great, we were particularly impressed by the savoy cabbage. Super friendly service. The children were asked whether the sauce should be on or next to the spaetzle. (Parents appreciate that there are experienced staff here). And at the end there were even gummy bears for the kids. We'd love to come back.

It's right at the castle, we had sauerbraten, which was very, very tasty! I can only recommend it, simply a taste explosion! From the sauce, the dumplings, the cabbage to the meat, it's a high standard. Everything tasted great. Simply great.

Very rustic restaurant, very nicely decorated, nice service, unfortunately everything had been pre-ordered, we were still able to eat at a table that arrived an hour and a half later, which was fine. A number of guests came who had enjoyed eating, but everything was reserved. I thought it was a shame that everything was always pre-reserved and what I noticed Tables also stand empty for a very long time

We decided to have dinner there in the evening. Were escorted straight to a table on the terrace. A very pleasant place when it was still warm at 27°C. There is no longer any waiting time from being seated to being served. And the food was very tasty (liver dumpling soup, Schäufele, cream slices, small salad). Staff very friendly and attentive. We can recommend the restaurant and would love to come back ourselves.

This restaurant offers a large selection of different schnitzels with a variety of side dishes and a good selection of dining options. The food was always ready within 30 minutes, even when there was a lot of activity, and tasted very good.

The food was very hearty with a lot of cheese and fat. Neither of us got along well. It's just a matter of taste. We wouldn't go there again. Service was okay, ambience was fine.

We will be back definitely! 2024: The food was ok again, but no longer outstanding, with slight weaknesses: The fries were very strongly seasoned, as was one sauce, the other was quite cold, with some almost cold mushrooms. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 25 Personen dort. Service eine absolute Katastrophe. Unfreundlich und unflexibel. Mein Tischnachbar hat dreimal nach dem Wein gefragt und keinen bekommen, dafür war er hinterher drei mal auf der Rechnung. Fleisch war trocken und zäh, das interessiert aber nicht. Kaffe gab es ab 20.30 auch nicht, da die Maschine schon sauber war. Dafür Ärger mit dem Wirt, der die nicht servierten Getränke abkassieren wollte. Keine Empfehlung wert..

Very chic restaurant with a very good selection of food and drinks. The service is great and very friendly.

We dined there with a group of 25 people. Unfortunately something went wrong with the pre-order. A meal was not ordered or was given incorrectly. However, the reaction of the staff was not okay. You can take the leftover food, nothing else. A side salad couldn't be ordered and the wine or large bottle of water we ordered didn't come at all. But there were 3 wines because we asked 3 times and the water was on the bill. There was no coffee, as the machine was already clean at 8.30 p.m., but there was a lecture from the owner, who more or less accused us of carousing. An unpleasant end to our short vacation.

Unfortunately we can't say much positive things. However, the staff is friendly and you can sit outside or inside. Unfortunately, 80% of the food consists of ready-made products. The spaetzle, salad dressing and sauces were definitely convenience products. We weren't quite sure about the schnitzels, but they were ok too. Schäufele was an insult to every Franconian. The meat was very firm, barely came off the bone and the crust was tough. The cordon bleu was good.

Ich war bereits einige Male hier , in den vergangenen Jahren und dieses Jahr nun zwei Mal. Leider eine pure Katastrophe. Letztes Mal hat man mir etwas berechnet, was man mir nicht serviert hat. Leider habe ich den Kassenbeleg erst bekommen, als ich auf dem Gang nach draußen war. Heute hat das Spektakel sich zugespitzt. Ein Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln ohne Spiegeleier. Das war meine Bestellung. Ich bekam ein Schnitzel. Ich fragte, wo meine Beilage ist. Die kommt gleich. 10 min nachdem ich das Schnitzel aufgegessen hatte, brachte man mit Kartoffeln. Sie waren nicht angebraten , voll mit grünen getrockneten Kräutern. Leider kalt. Ich ließ sie zurück gehen und wollte Pommes haben. Ich dachte mir ja, die müssen warm sein. Das waren Sie auch , aber eben nur zwei Stück gewürzt. Das Getränk kam warm. Die Bedienung einfach unaufmerksam, unfreundlich, versteht niemanden. Ich kann nur abtraten, hier essen zu gehen.

One of the few German restaurants in Bad Mergentheim with home-style cuisine. The meat of the schnitzel was great, but the fries were too salty for me personally. It can happen, that's why I'm not deducting a star and will just come back again... By the way, super nice staff!

A really nice restaurant very close to the pedestrian zone. The food is plentiful and tastes very good. The two girls behind the counter and waitress are very friendly and also ask if everything is OK. I hadn't made a reservation and was then offered a place at the counter, which I accepted. After a short while I was offered a table, which I just thought was great. I stayed seated. The only thing that bothered me was that there was no kitchen at 8 p.m. and the kitchen closed at 9 p.m. That's what it says on the map. You sit comfortably and relaxed and know that you have to move in time. I would still come back again and again.

Place was empty, but wasn't able to be seated. It's a monday...

Went here with a reservation as a couple and you can't say anything against the food. Two schnitzel dishes that were very good and delicious side salads. Portions were also more than sufficient. The food came relatively quickly, which is why it was great. In general I like to give 5 stars and the food deserves it, unfortunately the service was a bit disappointing. Our main waitress was friendly, the other waitress served two tables before us who arrived after us and unfortunately ignored us despite a hand signal. Even as we walked we didn't feel any sincere friendliness; we heard whispers, but that could have been our imagination. I have no idea what the problem was, we were always friendly and left a generous tip for the nice waitress. So it's a shame that I can't give it 5 stars - this review is aimed at the waitress with the darker hair who ignored us at the beginning.

Ich war während meinem Reha Aufenthalt mehrere Male da.Das Essen war immer sehr gut.Der Service ausgezeichnet.Immer sehr freundlich.Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Sehr gemütliches Lokal am Rande des Kurpark. Typisch deutsche Speisen. Ausgezeichnet war der Schweinebraten mit Wirsing und Klößen. Die Käsespätzle waren mir zu lasch. Ich hätte mir einen stärkeren Käse Geschmack gewünscht. Das Schäufele war ausgezeichnet Alle von uns bestellte Essen waren insgesamt sehr schmackhaft und im preislichen Rahmen. Bedienung war außerordentlich freundlich und aufmerksam.

Aufgrund guter Rezensionen haben wir uns nach dem Besuch im Wildpark für eine Einkehr in das Gasthaus Johanniter entschieden. Unser Eindruck ist nun leider etwas getrübt, da jegliches Essen an der ein oder anderen Stelle nicht gut war. Mal hat etwas gefehlt, das Schnitzel war teilweise wirklich zu fettig und die Champignonsauce sowie die Rahmsauce eher süßlich und nicht gut gewürzt, gerne hätten diese auch in einer extra Sauciere serviert werden können, damit das Schnitzel nicht so durchweicht. Außerdem ist es nicht notwendig zwei verschiedene Saucen zu einem Schnitzel zu servieren, lieber eine einfach gut machen. Das Ambiente sowie der Service waren mittelmäßig und in Kombination mit dem Essen gibt es für uns keinen Grund wieder zu kommen. An und für sich einen stolzen Preis für nicht viel Leistung bezahlt….schade.

Das Essen war prima und sehr reichlich. Die zwei jungen Damen waren sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente ist gut bürgerlich. Kann auf jeden Fall empfohlen werden.

Durch reinen Zufall, freier Tisch im Aussenbereich, im Gasthaus Johanniter gelandet. Bestellt war schnell und das Essen war auch recht bald auf dem Tisch. Ein Pfänchen, ich dachte noch recht klein - das wird nicht reichen. Doch Pustekuchen! Auch wenn es nicht danach aussah, es war reichlich! Und der Geschmack? Vorzüglich! So kann man sich täuschen. Zusammengefasst: Guter, freundlicher Service, reichlich leckeres Essen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, allerdings gab es leichte Verständigungsprobleme. Denen mag auch geschuldet sein, daß meine Frau statt wie bestellt Klöße, Spätzle zu ihrem Essen bekam. Da diese auch sehr lecker waren, letztendlich ok. Wir wollten jetzt auch nicht noch zusätzlich auf die Klöße warten. Weiterhin wurden uns drei Bier berechnet, obwohl wir nur zwei hatten. Hätte ich auch direkt merken können. Allerdings bekommt man die Quittung erst nach dem Bezahlen ausgedruckt, sofern es gewünscht wird und da hab ich sie leider einfach ungeprüft entgegengenommen. Nicht so schön war die proteinhaltige, sich autonom fortbewegende Einlage im - sonst sehr leckeren - Beilagensalat. Darauf aufmerksam gemacht kam von der Bedienung nur die Bemerkung "Was ist das?" - "Eine Raupe!" - "Raupe?" .... das war's. Ich meine, das kann ja vielleicht bei frischem Salat passieren, aber so gar keine weitere Reaktion, wie eine Entschuldigung oder der Hinweis, daß so etwas nicht Standart im Johanniter ist, wäre schon schön gewesen ...

Das Schäufele war hervorragend die Rösti schmeckten gut, aber als Bayer hätte ich einen Knödel bevorzugt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.
