Gasthof Baier in Schwandorf

Auf der Durchreise finden wir das Restaurant Baier, welches neben der tollen Lage am Wasser Balkon auch eine kulinarische Einstimmung in den Urlaub bot. Wir waren am Donnerstag gehen 13:00 Uhr da und hätten Glück. Das Restaurant war fast voll! Das Essen war Spitze, ob Salat oder die angebotene "Schweinerei" (Schweinerippe + Knödel). Beim nächsten Besuch in der Gegend gehört Baier zu unserer 1. Wahl.

Ältere aber günstige Zimmer vollkommen ausreichend super Netter Service super Essen

Wir haben ein gutes Lokal gesucht und über Google Gasthof Baier gefunden Wir waren mit dem Essen und der Bedienung sehr zufrieden. Bei nächster Gelegenheit gerne wieder.

Waren für 1. Nacht in der Ferienwohnung Nr. 13 untergebracht, mit Balkon Aussicht Richtung Innenstadt und Kirche. Älter eingerichtet siehe Fotos, es waren sehr viele Spinnweben & natürlich auch Spinnen in der Ferienwohnung mussten erstmal alles beseitigen. Im Ehebett waren Haare (Putzfrau Oder Vorgänger??) Im Restaurant haben wir nicht gegessen, muss aber sehr lecker sein, werden wir das nächste mal testen. Für 1 Nacht ok, aber nächstes Mal dann doch wieder wo anders übernachten.

Absolute Empfehlung!!! waren am 7.7.2026 zu viert dort . Rustikaler Charme im positivsten Sinn. Das Essen ( alle aßen etwas anders) sehr, sehr gut und absolute Empfehlung. Wir haben im Gasthof auf der Terrasse gespeist. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Speisen sehr lecker und wirklich grosse Portionen. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Die Toilettenanlage sehr neu und sehr sauber. Alles in allem eine sehr klare Empfehlung von mir.

Lecker gegessen. Einziger Makel war, dass das Essen selbst bei Hitzewetter schnell kalt wurde. Schaschlik aus hochwertigem Fleisch mit fein abgestimmter Sauce. Fleischpflanzerl mit Kartoffelsalat aus eigener Herstellung. Emofehlenswert!

Ich hatte selten so tolles Essen. Es war sehr lecker und mit viel Liebe angerichtet. Der Service war sehr nett und selbst unser Hund wurde sehr nett bedient mit Wasser und Leckeries ich würde dafür gerne mehr Sterne geben aber es gehen ja nur 5. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier essen und wir können nur eins sagen ,,Mega " 👌😋. Sehr große Portionen und sehr sehr lecker 👌😋. Die beiden Bedienungen sehr freundlich und schnell . Klare Weiterempfehlung 👌👍🫶. Das Highlight zum Schluss waren die Toiletten 😉 sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet, die Handseife richt immer noch an meinen Händen 🫣😅😋 Lg Ina und Gunter 🙋‍♀️ wir kommen wieder 😉

Das Essen war sehr gut. Für mich als Vegetarier warens mal nicht die ewigen Käsespätzle, sondern Kasknödl mit Schwammerlsoße. Es freut mich, dass hier mitgedacht wird und ein paar Gerichte zur Auswahl stehen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren in einem Nebenraum. Die Einrichtung hat uns sehr gefallen. Servicepersonal freundlich, zuvorkommend und unaufdringlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder 😁 Meine Bewertung bezieht sich rein aus Gasthaus.

Sehr lecker essen und ein toller Service! Die Bedienungen waren ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Der Gasthof liegt direkt an der Naab. Zu den Zimmern können wir leider nichts sagen, da wir ja nur zum Essen dort waren.

Das sehr schöne und urig eingerichtete Lokal hat uns vollkommen abgeholt. Der Empfang und die Bewirtung waren sehr herzlich und immer freundlich. Die Toiletten überraschten mit neuwertigen Mobiliar, Liebe zum Detail und absoluter Reinlichkeit. Die Karte ist klar strukturiert und für jeden Gaumen etwas dabei. Unser beider gewählten Speisen waren herausragend lecker. Leider kommen wir nicht aus der Region, sonst würden wir öfters zum Essen vorbei schauen, aber für jeden neuen Gast ein pflicht Besuch wert. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!😉

Der Gasthof Baier überzeugt mit einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre und einem freundlichen Service. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Die Speisen sind qualitativ hochwertig, schön angerichtet und geschmacklich wirklich gut – hier merkt man, dass mit Sorgfalt gearbeitet wird. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Einige Gerichte sind preislich etwas höher angesetzt. Das trübt den insgesamt positiven Eindruck zwar nur leicht, fällt aber dennoch auf. Alles in allem aber ein empfehlenswerter Gasthof, bei dem man gerne einkehrt! 👍

sehr gute Küche, sehr freundliches Personal, urig gemütliche Räumlichkeiten. Die Eisbecher zum Nachtisch waren so reichhaltig, dass ich zum ersten Mal mein Dessert nicht aufessen könnte.

Ich bin Geschäftsreisende und habe eben einen guten Gasthof gesucht! Gasthof Baier in Schwandorf habe ich über Google gefunden und bin total begeistert! Eine ganz tolle Speisekarte mit Typischen bayrischen Spezialitäten eine super Qualität das Essen ist sehr reichlich / große Portionen zum absolut fairen Preisen. Es ist so Mega lecker das man garnicht aufhören möchte zu essen. Die Servicekräfte super freundlich und zuvorkommend ich habe lange nicht mehr so gut gemütlich gegessen. Die Sanitäranlagen waren ebenfalls der Hammer super schön und sauber. Wer hier in der Gegend ist sollte unbedingt halt machen zum Essen. Vielen Dank ich komme bei meiner nächsten Reise wieder!

Wir waren auf Durchreise und haben hier zu Mittag gegessen. Das Backhendl Schnitzel war fantastisch und der Kartoffelsalat ebenso. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und der Service freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Essen, egal was man von der Karte bestellt. Ein Teil noch sehr im typischen Wirtshaus Stil gehalten was uns sehr gefällt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Bestes Wirtshaus im Raum Schwandorf 😋

Wir haben uns telefonisch vorab angemeldet. Hatten Glück mit dem avisierten Tisch ab 13 Uhr. Parkplatz auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Naab sehr entspannt, romantisch gelegen und fußläufig auch für Gehbehinderte zu erreichen. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, obwohl die Hütte voll war und jede Menge Bestellungen über die Theke gingen. Das Getränk war schnell serviert. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt und werden in Zukunft gern weitere Gerichte der umfangreichen Speisekarte probieren.

Was ist nur aus diesem Gasthaus geworden??? Preise wie in München am Stachus und kein Genuss. Wir hatten Hütten Cordon Bleu und Teufels Cordon Bleu. Stolzer Preis für 21 €. Kein Geschmack, da fast nicht gewürzt und die Baier Spezial Sosse dazu war einfach nur grauenhaft. Pommes und Beilagensalat waren Standard. Wir hatten aber Hunger und mussten schon sehr lange warten. Wir hatten einen Tisch direkt vor dem Eingang zur Toilette. Jedesmal, wenn die Türe aufging, kam uns penetranrer Geruch entgegen. Sehr appetitlich..... Das einzig Positive war der freundliche Service und das urige Ambiente, aber mehr schon auch nicht. Und noch ein Tipp von uns: ein Bild vom verstorbenen Wirt ist ja o.k.,aber nicht an der Theke mit brennenden Grablichtern. Das ist ein Gasthof und kein Friedhof!

Essen und Service waren hervorragend - die Preis-Leistung für das Mittagsangebot auch. Ansonsten preislich aber schon im gehobenen Niveau.

Waren mit 6 Personen am 25.12. abends zum Essen hier. Essen war wie immer wirklich hervorragend. Bedienungen waren trotz vollem Haus sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich hier jedes Mal sehr wohl und das Essen ist wirklich unschlagbar! Weiter so, wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne und haben den Gasthof Baier bereits sehr vielen Freunden und Bekannten empfohlen.

Alter Schwede,eine ultra fette Portion, ich habe mir den Schwandorfer Schnitzelteller gegönnt,geliefert wurden 3 so große schnitzel ,gefühlt 420 gramm,musste was einpacken lassen,bin guter Esser, hey Baier ihr habt echt Eier :) weiter so und Guten Appetit

Wir waren ein paar Tage am Steinberger See und haben per Mail (sehr netter Kontakt) einen Tisch reserviert. Das Essen war mega lecker. Die Schnitzel ein Traum. Der Service super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

When we made our reservation, the restaurant was quite busy. We used to come here more often, but unfortunately, the atmosphere hasn't changed at all. Our food—we had peppered pork tenderloin and hunter's schnitzel—was barely seasoned, so we had to add a lot of extra seasoning. It used to be a must for us to eat here. Sadly, that probably won't be the case as often anymore. P.S.: What's really annoying is the constant staring and "scrutinizing" of the guests from the bar stools.

I had lunch at Gasthof Baier. A charming, traditional inn. It doesn't always have to be ultra-modern. I received a warm welcome and was shown to a table. The service was incredibly attentive, they did a fantastic job, and everyone always had a smile on their face. The menu is varied, featuring fresh, regional cuisine. I opted for a traditional inn soup and a mountain-style cordon bleu. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The portions were very generous. It's a great place to eat and spend a pleasant evening. The price-performance ratio is excellent. In short: highly recommended!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The two of us arrived at the restaurant on a Tuesday without a reservation. We were greeted warmly and shown to a lovely, quiet table. About half the tables were reserved. We ordered, and the food arrived quickly and beautifully presented. The roast beef with onions was cooked medium-rare, as ordered, and was also a generous portion. The fish and chips were also ample. The service (Anja) was very attentive and friendly throughout the evening. We immediately felt like we were at our favorite local restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

We come to Schwandorf twice a year for business and this time we stopped at the inn again. The food, location, and price are still incredibly good. The dishes are visually appealing, very generous, and absolutely delicious. The service is very, very friendly. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

We visited the inn as vacationers in the evening and experienced a quaint, cozy, and clean restaurant. The waitress came to our table super quickly and with absolute friendliness to take our order. Our meal was a visual delight and tasted excellent. Since we couldn't finish it due to the amount of food, the waitress brought us plates without being asked. Bavarian food is delicious anyway 😋

After a hike in the Schwandorf lake district, we stopped here for a snack. We were able to sit on the beautifully situated terrace with our dog, who was welcome. Simply a great pub. The service is friendly, the beer is cold, and the food is excellent. And the outdoor balcony area is now so cozy, thanks to the many plants providing shade. I would come here much more often if I didn't live in Munich.

After a long hike, we stopped at this inn and enjoyed a delicious meal and drink. The Wiener Schnitzel was very good, and the potato salad was wonderfully tasty. We were there for lunch today, on the terrace by the water, it was absolutely beautiful. The service was so friendly, the food was excellent, even the salad was so beautifully presented, not to mention the schnitzel, which was a dream! And then the beer for my husband was "made with love," what more could you want? 😉 The prices are also absolutely fair. We can only recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back. I can only speak about our visit to the restaurant: great and friendly service. The best German cuisine in the SAD area. We absolutely love coming here for dinner. And we recommend it to others. The price is perfectly reasonable for the quality of the food! We always get a seat, even without a reservation. But unfortunately, there aren't enough parking spaces. You can park further away on side streets, but if you don't know that, it's a real shame.

Yes, you can eat very well here, with super friendly service. Very nice rooms and a balcony. Sitting outside, you can enjoy a view of the Naab River. I highly recommend it.

I am simply disappointed and angry. The restaurant management shocked me. My family and I were regulars for years and always celebrated our birthdays here, but that is history now. I called the lady and asked if she could make me a fat-free piece of meat (chicken or turkey) with grilled vegetables and rice (without onions) because I have an intolerance. I was charged a hefty €35 for this; the food was thrown in a plastic bag. The vegetables were not grilled, but cooked with lots of onions. It was not a fat-free piece of meat either, but pure fat. I was given completely wrong advice and was given completely different food that I could not eat because of my intolerance. I asked very nicely whether I could either have the dish prepared fat-free without onions or have my money back because it wasn't €10 but a lot of money. The lady started arguing so much that even a nice guest offered to eat the meal himself and would have given me the money. She didn't want that, she was just looking for drama and stress, she simply didn't want to give my money back. She didn't understand my problem and she didn't have any fat-free meat either. Since we couldn't solve the problem that way, she even called the police, all the guests were shocked and horrified. To make such a fuss over such a small thing. The customer is definitely not king here, customers are treated like dirt! And my family and I will definitely never go here again and will tell everyone about it to protect as many people as possible from this restaurant. I'm really disappointed, I've never experienced anything like this before.

If there were 10 stars, I would give them. We had a schnitzel, which was super delicious, with a huge portion and a great price. The service was very attentive and friendly. We stopped by while passing through. Thank you for the great food and also a big thank you to the city for the lovely RV parking space.

We ate on the terrace/balcony. It's actually quite nice, as you're sitting right by the Naab River, but everything was overgrown and it smelled a bit funny. Overall, the prices were a bit high. We stopped by for lunch spontaneously, so we didn't have a reservation, but we received a very friendly welcome. The lunch menu was super delicious, arrived quickly, and was great value for money. The staff deserves special mention; as mentioned above, they were very friendly and accommodating (and our little son was very happy with the gummy bears :-)! We'll definitely be back! :-)

Anyone who stops here won't be disappointed. Classic dishes and new ideas. Not convenience food, but homemade and therefore very wholesome. And Very, very clean restrooms.

We were traveling in our motorhome and stopped in Schwandorf, where we took a guided tour of the Felsenkeller (rock cellar). We had dinner with you in the evening for our anniversary. We had cheese spaetzle 😋😋😋, which were absolutely delicious, and then ice cream for dessert. Everything was wonderful, thank you for the lovely evening. I can recommend you 100%.

Certainly a good location, but given the prices we would have expected more in terms of cuisine. The asparagus salad consists of at least 50% canned food. Not that great for almost 15 euros. Better to have less choice instead of something like that. The salad was also meaningless in terms of taste. Also: There has been really good non-alcoholic wheat for many years, but what was served tasted watery. The cheese spaetzle with real cheese and the service, on the other hand, were very good.
