Gasthaus Zum Löwen in Heidelberg

Unfortunately, the food isn't tasty. Everything is pre-cooked, including the shashlik. Khinkali without coriander is a no-go; it was made by machine. No Georgian drinks except wine. Fast food tastes better and costs only half as much. There's no authentic Georgian cuisine presented here. It's a shame.

It's actually very tasty, but what really bothers me is that sometimes you get salad with the bread and sometimes you don't. I thought you always got two slices of bread? And when you ask for bread, they look at you like you're crazy...

My family and I did a day trip to the castle as most do. After which we wanted pizza for the kids , however , as we past by here we saw they had pizza and it looked like a nice mom and pop place. It was around 2-3pm not a lot of ppl were there. We ordered two pizzas and pasta carbonara. It was great , all the flavors and taste! Also we had the kids with us , is isn’t a kid kinda place but the owner and waiter took care of us and made us feel welcome. The owner/ cook even made us a little desert on the house. I highly recommend this place just for food alone, but also we have to support these places with good ppl.
