Gasthaus "Zum Löwen" in Reilingen

Everything was perfect. Everything was delicious; I had the horseradish dish. It was really great, and you don't get that very often. Even though the restaurant was full, the wait time was perfectly reasonable. I'd gladly come again.

We've been there several times now and have always been extremely satisfied. The staff is very friendly, they offer a selection of (seasonal) dishes, and there are also options for children and vegetarians. Dogs are welcome and enjoy coming along.

We had reserved a table because we wanted to eat goose. I specifically mentioned this when making the reservation. It was also prominently advertised on the menu: plenty of goose, leg, breast, or both, with red cabbage, baked apple, chestnuts, and dumplings. It sounded absolutely delicious. And we were really looking forward to it. When we arrived on Sunday evening, the server immediately informed us that they only had goose breast left and no red cabbage. Instead, they offered classic market vegetables. We ordered the goose breast twice, once with vegetables and once with a side salad. The quality was okay, but the flavor was rather bland, lacking any seasoning. The baked apple was also missing. After asking for it, it arrived, garnished with chopped parsley. It simply tasted like apple. All in all, very disappointing. As a small apology, they offered an espresso, which was just as bland. It's a shame; we've always been very satisfied before. One of the servers then added that goose leg was currently unavailable everywhere, due to bird flu. That's simply unprofessional because it's not true.

A lovely country inn with excellent food. We were a party of four and very satisfied. Even though a large party was also there, there were no issues with the food or the service. The food was delicious and can be highly recommended. The staff always kept an eye on whether our glasses were empty and discreetly checked accordingly.

A small, family-run Greek restaurant. I find the food delicious 😋. The dishes are freshly prepared in the kitchen. The owner always gives me a friendly welcome.

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The food was cold, and one of the ordered meals wasn't even delivered. Either we caught a terrible day, or the quality has drastically dropped, and the price-performance ratio is simply no longer there. What a shame.

A lovely country inn with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and reasonable prices. It was quite late in the evening, and the place was packed with guests, which is probably why no service responded to our requests. After the food was served, they stopped by the table and asked questions. But I think they're otherwise pretty good, and I can recommend the inn.

There were seven of us and we had a variety of dishes. We were all satisfied; the Riesling from Rheinhessen was excellent. There was a wait at times, but the service was competent and very friendly. The value for money was very good.

Since our hotel (Achat - Reilingen) no longer offers dinner, we opted for this restaurant. The selection of dishes isn't very extensive – but that didn't bother us, quite the opposite. The food (roast beef and cordon bleu) was indescribably delicious, everything freshly cooked, the service was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy. 110% recommendation!

We were passing by this small town and needed a place to eat. Would recommend, everything was delicious. We ordered the mixed antipasti, the grilled goats cheese with chutney and 2 chicken skewers to go on the side.

A solid restaurant in a prime location. We sat outside on the terrace and had a delicious cheese spaetzle with salad. Tasty, but not outstanding. The price-performance ratio wasn't entirely justified, in our opinion. Otherwise, however, good service and a pleasant evening.

Opening hours are until 11:00 PM. We arrived at 9:36 PM, but couldn't get anything to eat or drink. Unfortunately, this inn isn't particularly hospitable.

Very welcoming, great value for money. Art supplies and children's cutlery for the little ones were very cute. A stool for them on the toilet would be great, for easier hand washing; my daughter couldn't reach it. Just a suggestion, but it's possible with help, of course ;) The toilet is very clean. The decor is exactly my taste, with old items preserved and beautifully combined with modern decorative items. The outdoor area is also very nice. The fireplace room was a bit chilly when we were last there. We like it, and have been coming here often for years :)

We got a table without a reservation. You can sit inside or outside. The menu had a nice selection of different dishes. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The staff are friendly and polite. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect here. A beautiful, warm summer evening in the garden. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food, and good drinks. Minor problems were quickly corrected. The Reilinger Horseradish sauce was the first horseradish sauce worthy of the name.

We spent a wonderful evening with friends in the beautiful ambiance of the beer garden, enjoying delicious food and very attentive (and funny :-)) service from the staff. It was our second visit to the Löwen, and we will definitely be back. You'll definitely find something delicious on the menu—with or without meat. The drinks selection is very extensive, and even small changes to the menu were no problem. We would definitely recommend the Löwen for a visit.

The "Zum Löwen" restaurant impresses with its breathtaking ambiance and impeccable service. The menu is creative and varied, with a focus on fresh, seasonal produce. The quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the dishes are outstanding. The prices are justified given the quality. This is an inn that I wholeheartedly recommend!

Went there yesterday for our wedding anniversary after making a reservation the day before. Very fine cuisine, nice and courteous staff. We had a nice table in the garden. Cream of asparagus soup was outstanding, everything else was also very good. Meat just right. The roast beef with horseradish and potatoes was also really great.

Great food, great service. The many regular customers who come here actually show how comfortable you feel as a guest here.

With hungry bellies we searched and found the Gasthaus zum Löwen. Totally inconspicuous from the outside. A very cozy atmosphere awaited us inside. The service was very good and the food was even better! If we're in the region again, we'll definitely stop by.

I made reservations in advance when I was passing through and can only recommend this. The restaurant was full and that was a good sign… Very quick, nice service, the food, including asparagus, was very good. Kaiserschmarren as a dessert was very generous, but different from the original and interpreted more freely. So...if you happen to stay overnight in Reilingen or just want to grab something to eat...recommended.

The Löwe in Reilingen is very inviting from the outside. The interior is equally tasteful and cozy. Friendly and attentive service and delicious food are also on the menu. The kitchen uses many regional products to create each dish. 👍 Five of us went there yesterday, and we were all very satisfied. All in all, a highly recommended location that we would gladly visit again.

Home-style, tasty, only for vegetarians, 0 protein and service a bit overwhelmed

It was our first time at the Gasthof "Zum Löwen" and it definitely won't be our last visit. You come in and immediately feel at home in the rustic yet modern, tastefully furnished atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the meat was cooked to perfection. The friendly and attentive staff also means that we will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Reilingen - perhaps in the summer to be able to use the great inner courtyard. Reservations are recommended on weekends.

We came to this restaurant by chance while passing through and loved it! The cozy atmosphere and the warm welcome were immediately convincing. The service was excellent and the food was of a very high quality. The soup had al dente vegetables that were able to develop their own flavor. For the main courses, the meat was tender and the side dish was easily swapped for vegetables, which were also perfectly cooked. We can definitely recommend the restaurant and regret that we live so far away!

I tried to reserve a table using the email address provided on the Internet. After 6 hours I took the liberty of asking whether they had received my request. The lady's information: "The boss is on training. The mailbox isn't read. It's always best to book via the portal." When I gave her the advice to take this information with the reservation offer from the website, she got rude and made me look like I was too stupid to make a reservation. I know the food from before. Actually good, but if you can afford customer service like that after Corona, then I can stay away in the future.

We made a reservation at 7 p.m. and were quickly shown to our place. The cozy restaurant in the historic half-timbered house was well attended and lively. The food was terrific. Particularly noteworthy are the tzatziki with the grilled pepperoni, the toasted baguette bread, the onion roast, the Wiener schnitzel, the potato salad with the cordon bleu and the creme brulee. The service was attentive and friendly. We had a great evening!!

Four of us were in the beer garden with friends; really great and, above all, attentive service staff (unfortunately this is rarely found these days) and a varied but not overloaded selection on the menu. In any case, everyone enjoyed it excellently, especially the Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and the onion roast roast were very well received. We will definitely check back more often.

For our wedding anniversary we decided to try out an upscale restaurant. The ambience was extremely cozy, especially if you appreciate a more traditional style. The reception was professional and we were shown to our table quickly, which initially left a positive impression. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the waitress came to us and apologized for the delay. But the first impression had already suffered. When guests who had arrived after us received their drinks and food before us, the overall impression was greatly affected. Unfortunately, even the tasty food and the staff's apologies couldn't completely correct this impression. Given the prices quoted, we would have expected a much more attentive and efficient service. Our conclusion: The ambience in the outdoor area was very pleasant, the food was good, and the service could be improved. However, we will not dine there again. Edit: In this price range, a possible problem for the restaurateur cannot become a problem for the guest.

Upscale ambience, upscale cuisine, upscale prices. Service is a bit slow - you should take your time. Prices are generally okay, but when it comes to wines, they cost over 9 EUR for a glass (0.2l) and are well over the mark.

The food was really really good, but the service was so slow even though it wasn't busy and guests at another table waited 20 minutes to even get a card. Nevertheless, they are very attentive and friendly, but could still be optimized in terms of speed and emptying.

The two of us ate outside. Ambience outside could be improved. The food selection is manageable. As a steak eater, there is only one 280 gr. on the menu. The meat flavor after preparation is poor. Very little sauce is served with the spaetzle. When you ask, you get the answer: "We always do it that way because otherwise too much would be thrown away." We were there last time!

Went spontaneously to the Gasthaus Zum Löwen. We were greeted very nicely and even though we didn't have a reservation, we quickly got a table. The staff was really very nice and fulfilled all our wishes. The food, which had a tarte flambée with salmon, schnitzel with fries and salad and a Kaiserschmarn as a dessert, was very, very tasty 🥰 price-performance ratio absolutely fair. It's a shame that we come from Bavaria, otherwise we would definitely eat there more often 😊

We wanted to try something new and then came across this restaurant. We reserved a table and went there. The people there are very nice. We ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes and ketchup and an Alsatian-style tarte flambée. The food and the side salad (which I don't have a photo of) were very tasty and satisfied our hunger. I can recommend the restaurant to everyone!

I was invited there during the asparagus season; there are very good, innovative as well as traditional dishes of very good quality. The inn has a nice atmosphere and you can also purchase homemade honey and other specialties.
