Home-style, tasty, only for vegetarians, 0 protein and service a bit overwhelmed

It was our first time at the Gasthof "Zum Löwen" and it definitely won't be our last visit. You come in and immediately feel at home in the rustic yet modern, tastefully furnished atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the meat was cooked to perfection. The friendly and attentive staff also means that we will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Reilingen - perhaps in the summer to be able to use the great inner courtyard. Reservations are recommended on weekends.

We came to this restaurant by chance while passing through and loved it! The cozy atmosphere and the warm welcome were immediately convincing. The service was excellent and the food was of a very high quality. The soup had al dente vegetables that were able to develop their own flavor. For the main courses, the meat was tender and the side dish was easily swapped for vegetables, which were also perfectly cooked. We can definitely recommend the restaurant and regret that we live so far away!

A very nice inn where you can eat very well, both inside and outside. We ate very tasty schnitzels here and spent lovely evenings. Gladly again!

I tried to reserve a table using the email address provided on the Internet. After 6 hours I took the liberty of asking whether they had received my request. The lady's information: "The boss is on training. The mailbox isn't read. It's always best to book via the portal." When I gave her the advice to take this information with the reservation offer from the website, she got rude and made me look like I was too stupid to make a reservation. I know the food from before. Actually good, but if you can afford customer service like that after Corona, then I can stay away in the future.

Cozy rustic, good home cooking, very professional staff, very clean restaurant, first class food, full marks.

We made a reservation at 7 p.m. and were quickly shown to our place. The cozy restaurant in the historic half-timbered house was well attended and lively. The food was terrific. Particularly noteworthy are the tzatziki with the grilled pepperoni, the toasted baguette bread, the onion roast, the Wiener schnitzel, the potato salad with the cordon bleu and the creme brulee. The service was attentive and friendly. We had a great evening!!

Four of us were in the beer garden with friends; really great and, above all, attentive service staff (unfortunately this is rarely found these days) and a varied but not overloaded selection on the menu. In any case, everyone enjoyed it excellently, especially the Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and the onion roast roast were very well received. We will definitely check back more often.

For our wedding anniversary we decided to try out an upscale restaurant. The ambience was extremely cozy, especially if you appreciate a more traditional style. The reception was professional and we were shown to our table quickly, which initially left a positive impression. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the waitress came to us and apologized for the delay. But the first impression had already suffered. When guests who had arrived after us received their drinks and food before us, the overall impression was greatly affected. Unfortunately, even the tasty food and the staff's apologies couldn't completely correct this impression. Given the prices quoted, we would have expected a much more attentive and efficient service. Our conclusion: The ambience in the outdoor area was very pleasant, the food was good, and the service could be improved. However, we will not dine there again. Edit: In this price range, a possible problem for the restaurateur cannot become a problem for the guest.

Upscale ambience, upscale cuisine, upscale prices. Service is a bit slow - you should take your time. Prices are generally okay, but when it comes to wines, they cost over 9 EUR for a glass (0.2l) and are well over the mark.

We spent our date evening there, the atmosphere was very nice and cozy. The food was super delicious! We can only recommend that the service could have been a little more attentive and to ask for drinks more often. But all in all it was really nice and we would love to come back

We were thrilled, great old German atmosphere, very cozy. The food was excellent, and for that alone I would go on holiday in this area more often. The service was very friendly and very competent. Maybe the price of a dish might put off some people here and there, but I can say that it is more than worth it. The two of us ate outside. Ambience outside could be improved. The food selection is manageable. As a steak eater, there is only one 280 gr. on the menu. The meat flavor after preparation is poor. Very little sauce is served with the spaetzle. When you ask, you get the answer: "We always do it that way because otherwise too much would be thrown away." We were there last time!

The food was really really good, but the service was so slow even though it wasn't busy and guests at another table waited 20 minutes to even get a card. Nevertheless, they are very attentive and friendly, but could still be optimized in terms of speed and emptying.

We came without a reservation and were able to get a seat outside. Very nice conversations with the lady of the house. The food and the ambience are a dream. .... it's a shame that something like this doesn't happen more often. We would like to come again. The 5 stars are actually not enough.

Went spontaneously to the Gasthaus Zum Löwen. We were greeted very nicely and even though we didn't have a reservation, we quickly got a table. The staff was really very nice and fulfilled all our wishes. The food, which had a tarte flambée with salmon, schnitzel with fries and salad and a Kaiserschmarn as a dessert, was very, very tasty 🥰 price-performance ratio absolutely fair. It's a shame that we come from Bavaria, otherwise we would definitely eat there more often 😊

They don't seem to need it. I wanted to order takeaway food for around 60 euros and although this was offered, it was rejected without comment after consultation with the kitchen. Too bad, good food, miserable service!

I was invited there during the asparagus season; there are very good, innovative as well as traditional dishes of very good quality. The inn has a nice atmosphere and you can also purchase homemade honey and other specialties.

We wanted to try something new and then came across this restaurant. We reserved a table and went there. The people there are very nice. We ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes and ketchup and an Alsatian-style tarte flambée. The food and the side salad (which I don't have a photo of) were very tasty and satisfied our hunger. I can recommend the restaurant to everyone!

We had dinner at the Gasthaus Löwen with 8 people. We were all 100 percent satisfied. Service very friendly and attentive. Food very good. Ambiance cozy and inviting.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant. But the best thing about this evening was the very nice and attentive service ladies. Thank you very much. And another pleasant remark: the children's meals were priced at almost cost price.

Great atmosphere and incredibly great, nice staff. Our meal was to die for. There are no better salads!! The rum steak and my pasta variation were delicious! We are thrilled and have reserved again for next week. A compliment to the kitchen and the friendly service. 5 stars from us!

At first they wanted to send us away because the restaurant was full. Then the friendly waitress was persuaded to open the Löwenkeller for us. A no less beautiful ambience awaited us. The food was excellent! The waitresses were very friendly at all times. The Löwe is an inn that we can and will recommend to everyone without reservation!

A cozy, elegant German (in the best sense of the word) home-style restaurant, of which there are unfortunately fewer and fewer. Friendly on the phone, reservation reminder, attentive service, rustic-elegant interior, larger table groups also possible in the room. Not an overloaded menu, but everything that was most important from grandma's kitchen was there. However, with numerous modern surprises. The rolled Maultaschen filled with veal farce taste wonderful and the presentation of the food is also aesthetic. Meat and salad quality impeccable. What more do you need? This is how Baden-Palatinate hospitality works. Since many people are aware of these facts, it is strongly recommended to reserve a table, especially on weekends.

Nice ambience with beautiful half-timbered wooden beams. Friendly staff. Good, solid German cuisine. Slightly higher priced. But you should take a detour here to see for yourself. You should reserve in advance.

Was on January 21st. in the area and followed the good reviews. Really a nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere in your fireplace room. I started with the soup pot, which tasted good. For the main course I had the onion roast, fried to perfection and seasoned well. The waitress (around my age) was very attentive and friendly, she stayed in my memory!

Everything just fits! Nicely furnished rooms, attentive and friendly staff even though it was packed, super delicious food. The entrance is a bit hidden in the courtyard, so we walked past it first. And you should really be hungry! 😁 I hadn't eaten anything all day and still had to fight hard

Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss, im Gasthaus "Zum Löwen" zu essen. Diesmal musste dieses Lokal als Geburtstagsgeschenk für unsere Freunde herhalten. Und beste Qualität verschenkt man ja gerne. Und wenn das dann noch mit dem besten Zwiebelrostbraten von Welt, der auch wirklich "medium rare" serviert wurde, einhergeht, hat man alles richtig gemacht. Gasthaus "Zum Löwen" ist immer ein Empfehlung wert.

Wir waren schon vor einem Jahr hier und sind auch dieses Mal begeistert! Mein Kumpel sitzt im E-Rollstuhl und trotz eigentlicher voll Reservierung, haben wir doch noch einen Tisch bekommen. Super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Essen ist überragend gut, ohne Spaß Foodporn 🤤🤤🤤😍 Nur für das Gasthaus "Zum Löwen" würde sich eine Reise hierher lohnen. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert, jedes Gericht ein Gaumenschmaus, sogar der Tee ist ein Erlebnis in der Präsentation.

Immer wieder gern. Es ist einfach wie nach Hause kommen. Gemütlich. Lecker. Freundlich. So muss das! Der Früchtetee ist immer ein kleines nettes Highlight.

Super nettes Personal, Essen war gut. Tolle Einrichtung. Die Antipasti Platte entsprach nicht unserer Erwartung. Es war nicht günstig, aber auch nicht übermäßig teuer. Würden wieder kommen😉👍

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Reservierung online, schnelle Antwort und auch 1 Tag vorher noch eine Erinnerungsmail bekommen. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service Klasse und das Lokal richtig schön. Schade das wir zu weit weg sind ansonsten wären wir öfters da.
