The boss is super hospitable, the staff is very attentive, the restaurant is unique and the food is delicious 😃 We always enjoy coming back.

We were in Trier spontaneously and found a place to eat here. Unfortunately our liver dumplings weren't really that good, as it turned out later that's often the case. We had mentioned it and they wanted to pass it on. As we were leaving we started talking to other guests and they said that it was always like that with the liver dumplings. I hope this will be looked into and we wish all other guests and the operators a good time and bon appetit

Schnitzel from the freezer...No thanks! That didn't exist before. It's a shame we won't be coming anymore. No apologies to the service, no comment at all.

Very nice location, with good food

A small inn located directly on the Moselle. The food was tasty and the portion was sufficient. The inn is small but nice. Service was nice but not exactly on point and sometimes forgot something. We found the music to be positive: hits from the 70s/80s, which somehow suited a wine bar.

Schön gelegen in Zurlauben. Das Essen war gut, Trier ist allgemein teuer geworden, in sofern war der Preis o. k. Service war schleppend. Entgegennahme der Bestellung gute 30 Minuten, das Essen kam zügig, dann kam aber kein Kellner mehr an den Tisch. Zum Bezahlen ging einer der Gruppe rein. Vielleicht läuft es innen besser

I was visiting Trier with a friend and we spotted this restaurant on our first day of arrival but it was closed for 2 days so we didn't get the opportunity to visit until the Wednesday evening. We were really looking forward to going as the place looked really nice and the menu looked excellent. However, although the food was good, the service was very, very slow and the staff were unfriendly and bad tempered. The lady who took our payment was particularly hostile and rude and we would never ever go here again. For this reason we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Disappointing experience - unfortunately not recommended!!! We recently went to the Mosellied inn on Zurlaubener Ufer to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately, this expectation was disappointed in every way. Despite several free tables, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for a seat, which seemed very rude and unnecessary. After we were finally allowed to sit, it took another 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Overall, the service was extremely slow and unfortunately unfriendly. The food itself was another low point. We ordered schnitzel that obviously came from the freezer – including the vegetables. The fries were also of poor quality and inedible. For a restaurant that promises rustic, fresh cuisine, this was a huge disappointment. Last but not least, we had to wait ten minutes for the card payment and the card reader was very dirty, which left an unhygienic impression. In the three years we have been living in Trier, this has been by far the worst restaurant experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Mosellied guesthouse.

Unfortunately very unhappy with the vegetarian alternative! Sitting in the Mosellied at old Zurlaubener is really nice! But my vegetarian meal was a joke for €13.90! Everything can literally be bought frozen at Aldi, which is unfortunately not at all the standard I would expect! Fresh salad, unwashed! I'm going back to the youth hostel hungry!

The location is fantastic and very relaxed as it's located right next to the Mosel especially if you're sitting outside. Definitely recommended to reserve a table in advance as it can get busy especially in the evenings. Overall, food was alright with good portions however quality of the service can certainly be improved. Our server couldn't recommend any dishes as they didn't try them & got confused when we tried to confirm a previous drink order & just ordered us another round. When noticing their mistake instead of just cancelling it as it wasn't even prepared, we were told that we would have to drink more with a bit of a snappy attitude... This could've been managed better... Overall a good restaurant but nothing special, which could be better with the right attitude of the staff.

After a long wait, we were rudely asked to please go somewhere else for a drink. I've never experienced anything like it!

The food is delicious and plentiful (if you like home cooking). The service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and we waited quite a long time for our order. But overall we were satisfied and would come back.

Delicious food, Nothing wrong with it.

The Moselli song caused quite a bit of dissonance for us - there were two of us there. After only one glass was delivered instead of the 0.5l wine we had ordered (the waitress's first "apology"), the appetizer arrived at some point: snails marinated in salt sauce (but the bread served with it was delicious). The main course was served much later. My wife ordered a small portion of the schnitzel. A normal sized one came. Instead of the fried potatoes we ordered, fries came. Also separately. The plate was taken away again. The second schnitzel was removed in the kitchen. The fried potatoes came when the schnitzel was almost eaten. Then we took her with us. Then we can at least add more seasoning, because the cook had probably already used up the salt in the kitchen for the snails. We left the rest of the schnitzel there. It was probably just fried mass-produced goods from the wholesale market anyway. I would like to mention that there were at least supposedly fresh fried mushrooms and onions on my schnitzel. A glimpse of hope! Conclusion: When I say rest stop level, I am doing many a rest stop an injustice. If my journey takes me to Trier again, I will certainly not check whether the store has improved.

Das Restaurant war gut gefüllt, der Kellner war bereits bei der Tischzuteilung sehr überfordert und überheblich. Die Bedienung war schnell, freundlich und die Preise günstig. Als das Essen kam, war klar, dass es hierbei um warmgemachte TK Fertiggerichte handelt. Das Gemüse war mit der industriellen Hollondaise Soße getränkt und überkocht. Die anschließende Übelkeit und Bauchschmerzen gab es inklusive. Getränke können da konsumiert werden, das Essen war mehr als enttäuschend.

I had a vegetarian tarte flambée. Very tasty and recommended. The waiter was very accommodating and the ambience with the flowers on the house facade is very nice. Thank you! :-)

We ate there twice Ate schnitzel and tarte flambée, it was excellent, the schnitzel was tender and the tarte flambée was bigger than the plate. Fries crispy and the salad is fresh. Staff very friendly and helpful. For us it's just great.

Prices very high, toilets very low and handle installed incorrectly

Had a terrace on the Moselle with super friendly service. Food very good. Price-performance is right. We were very satisfied.

Relaxed with a view of the Moselle. A friendly young man served the terrace largely alone. He did that excellently and quickly, he remembered everything by heart. The meal is simple but good! The beer is nice and cold and the wine is delicious. Definitely recommended.

Great food and friendly service in a nice atmosphere!

Table (terrace) was dirty and wasn't wiped down. Hollandaise for the asparagus was not homemade. When we asked the waiter it was revealed that it was ready in the pot and was being warmed up. Order for a glass of wine was forgotten. Not a word of regret from the waitress. The restaurant did not respond to our criticism.

The pike perch fillet was a poem and the potatoes were incredibly tasty. Excellent. Very friendly service!

Lovely setting beside the River Moselle. Young member of staff helped us with translation of food and drink to English. Good quality food at reasonable price.

Friendly, relaxed service. There's still room for improvement when it comes to eating. Especially with the salads, we had the impression that not everything was freshly prepared. - A reservation is recommended.

We stayed at the Mosellied inn twice over the long weekend. On the first day: All tables were already reserved or occupied, but we were able to sit down until the reservation time. The tarte flambée (bigger than the plate), which was very tasty, was actually just supposed to be a small snack. Day 2: After a strenuous bike ride, we wanted to refresh ourselves with a beer. But then we stayed until dinner. The schnitzel and fried potatoes were great. We also got to know a new drink, the local Viez. The service was great, the prices were reasonable.

Nice place overlooking the river. The food and wine were certainly fine. The service, on the other hand, was very disappointing. Unfriendly, arrogant waiter. At first we received comments because we asked for salt and pepper and we hadn't even tasted it yet. Literally thrown on the table. Then we rolled our eyes when we asked if it was possible to have mayonnaise with the fries. When we asked for the bill he barked that it could be done with the card inside. There too, with rolling eyes and barely a greeting. You certainly won't leave the restaurant with a good feeling. Shame!

Very unfriendly waiter on the terraces

We're not big fans of hearty German cuisine. But because we are in Trier for a short city trip, we wanted to eat here because of the restaurant name and the location on the Moselle. The rump steak with fried mushrooms and fried potatoes... simply delicious 😋

We were just there and it was great again - as it has been for many years. Everything is right here: price/performance, ambience, friendly staff, nice boss, great food, perfect for feeling good. Many thanks to the whole team!!!

A really nice spot with a great view. But you have to have a lot of nerve and a lot of time. Absolutely overwhelmed waiters. We only had something to drink because we noticed at the neighboring tables what a drama that can become if you eat something. The meal comes without a side dish, which comes half an hour later. And the cutlery was only there when requested. We had to wait almost 25 minutes to pay and had to tell us three times.

The two of us ate there yesterday. Once we were convinced by the view of the Moselle, we decided on this restaurant. Despite the tables being almost full, there were only a few waiters, which meant that the order took extremely long. We each ordered a starter and a main course. After a very long wait for the starter, only the bread with dip came. The second starter came with the main courses. Out of politeness, we didn't let them go back. There was a rump steak and a salad. The salads were drenched in dressing. The meat had a bit of an odd flavor to it. Probably the worst thing, we found SEVERAL HAIRS in our food. The more you ate, the more hair you found. Apart from the hair, unfortunately, if you know anything about food, it's not edible as such. Unfortunately not recommended at all. When the hair was spoken to, there wasn't even an apology.

A restaurant you have to visit. Excellent food and a beautiful ambience that invites you to linger.

The Gasthaus Mosellied in Zurlauben is a place for Trier residents to feel good and enjoy. The ambience shows its local connection. The menu is manageable but still offers something to suit everyone's taste! The friendliness of the service (Johnny or Jürgen) is not artificial, but comes from the heart! Prices are really fair. Really recommended. But if you value “fancy” more, then it’s better not to... 🤪

Fantastic place on the Moselle! With some sunshine and a beer you can last all afternoon!

At first we were greeted warmly and a table was prepared for us. After our - probably too small - order of wine with a cheese plate, the friendliness disappeared very quickly. When the neighboring table became available, the waiter said loudly to his boss (and clearly to us too) that the next table would only be reserved for guests who were actually eating dinner. An impudence. At 9 p.m. we think it's okay not to eat a full meal but just a snack without having to be insulted for it. Not recommended, although wine and cheese were ok.

We were there for dinner with 7 people. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was great! The waiter is a phenomenon, doesn't need to take notes on drinks or dishes and everyone got the right drink/dish. All in all, the restaurant and its friendliness is highly recommended! We will come back there again! P.S. Moselle fire was very tasty ;-)

Not recommended! Very unfriendly waiter on the terraces. As a guest you get the feeling of being unwanted there. It immediately put us guests in a bad mood... Later it started to rain heavily. The waiters neither helped us get our food dry nor offered us a seat inside. We had to eat our food wet while standing. The crowning achievement, however, was an angry guest who stormed out of the restaurant, loudly insulting employees. Not a nice experience...

Very friendly staff. A family atmosphere and super delicious food. The waiter took orders from 7 people without notes. A very displeased guest was dealt with with absolute confidence. We like to give all kinds of stars. Keep it up. It was nice with you ☺️

Immer wieder gerne. Der Kellner ein Phänomen. Selbst bei einem Tisch mit 11 Personen jeibe Notizen über Getränke und Gerichte. Und trotzdem passt alles, sogar Sonderwünsche. Leider ist es sehr laut im Lokal. Aber das stört nur zeitweise.

Essen war sehr lecker und ein ganz flotter Service. Perfekt.

Wir kamen beim Wandern an dem Restaurant vorbei, hatten ein gutes Gefühl und haben reserviert. Gute Wahl! Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und haben lecker gegessen. Die Karte ist überschaubar, und das im positiven Sinne: für jeden etwas dabei, sehr lecker.

Sehr gutes Essen, netter Service und sehr schön in der Nähe der Mosel in "Zurlauben" zu sitzen. Besonders an warmen Tagen draußen sitzen = sehr emfehlenswert.

Zum Gluck hat man uns - entgegen der Vereinbarung - um 18:00 Uhr nach dem Essen sehr unfreundlich aus dem Restaurant verwiesen, da unsere reservieren Plätze doppelt vergeben waren. Wir haben dann noch Plätze im benachbarten Paulaner gefunden. Und siehe da, die Atmosphäre war wesentlich freundlicher, die Bedienungen netter und aufmerksamer. Und das Essen dort war hervorragend. Also lieber gleich zum Paulaner und Mosellied meiden. Andreas

What a great experience! It was late evening and we were warmly welcomed in this cozy, happy restaurant. Our group of 4 ordered schnitzels which arrived quickly and were delicious. We will return!

Diesmal haben wir uns für Fleischgerichte entschieden und auch diesmal war das Essen TOP! Es war frisch, reichhaltig, sehr schmackhaft und schön angerichtet. Heute sehr enttäuscht gewesen ! Es sollte ein schöner Abend werden für mein Sohn sein 18 jährigen zu feiern … die Bedienung völlig überflüssig, über 30 min warten bis Trinken kam . Und nur Chaos. Aber essen war lecker. Aber wir werden nicht mehr kommen !

Rumpsteak, Salat und Pommes waren sehr lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Leider wird kein Kalbsschnitzel angeboten.

Spontan sind wir zu 2t hier eingekehrt. Service nett. Allerdings fehlte der Salat zu einem Essen, dass 2. Getränk kam nach dem Essen und das Essen war so mittelmäßig (Schnitzel nach Art des Hauses und Forelle). Wir hatten extrem nette Tischnachbarn und der Standort ist super. Wir würden wiederkommen und etwas anderes Essen bestellen.

Location ist natürlich super. Draußen mit moselblick direkt am Anleger. Service so lala. Klar da ist immer viel los. Die Schnitzel kommen fetttriefend aus Pfanne oder Fritteuse. Schafft jede Imbiss Bude besser

Gelebte Null Bock Einstellung, schöner Standort mit Terrasse aber hier geht man offenbar davon aus das der Gast nicht wieder kommt… das Essen ist Ok mehr aber nicht - der Service ist furchtbar unfreundlich und unhöflich

Das Schnitzel war lecker und reichlich. Auf der oberen Terrasse, die leider nicht immer geöffnet ist, sitzt man schön mit Moselblick.

Leider sehr verpeiltes Personal, ist mehrfach an uns vorbei gelaufen, hat auf Ansprache nicht reagiert. Später kommende Gäste hatten schon Getränke bevor wir überhaupt eine Bestellung aufgegeben konnten

Tolle Terrasse mit Blick auf die Mosel, guter Viez und sehr gute Flieten und für Freunde von Leber, die beste in Trier. Es kann aber passieren das es keine Leber gibt, da diese nur angeboten wird, wenn es frische Leber vom Vorlieferant gibt. Finde das aber nicht schlimm, besser keine als schlechte Qualität.

Wir waren mit Kollegen dort... es war ... ok. Die Auswahl an gut bürgerlichen Speisen sehr gut, Preise akzeptabel. Schnitzel, Flammkuchen, Salate, Apfelstrudel... Die Portionen waren ok, die Salatsosse ausgezeichnet! Das Hähnchenfleisch leider zu stark mit Curry gewürzt, aber das ist Geschmacksache -meiner war es halt nicht. Die weibliche Bedienung war aufmerksam und nett, gab sich Mühe und hat den Stress am Nachbartisch weg gelächelt. Punktabzug gibt es für den Tisch, der an der stark frequentierten Tür mitten im Durchzug stand. Einen Ausweichplatz gab es für uns nicht. Schade. Es zog, war richtig kalt und der Zigarettenqualm der draussen stehenden Raucher war ständig präsent. Störend war auch die Akustik. Es war sehr laut und schwierig, sich zu unterhalten. Schade. Bei schönem Wetter sitzt man draussen sicher sehr schön.

Super Essen, tolle Lage, nette Bedienung

Wir sind auf Empfehlung dorthin zum Mittagessen gegangen. Es hat sich gelohnt! Wir würden sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Die Bedienung war zwar ungeschult, aber sehr bemüht. Das Essen war so gut, dass wir am nächsten Tag noch einmal dort waren. Mein Rat ist zu reservieren, sonst ist es selbst in der Woche schwierig, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Oder um 12:00 h da zu sein, dann sollte es gelingen.

Die Lage ist prima und das war es auch schon an positiven Eindrücken! Bei Ankunft waren sie schon trotz Reservierung überfordert, der verschimmelte Sonnenschirm war zerrissen und ließ sich nicht öffnen. Zuerst fehlte Salat, dann kamen Pommes. Bis zur Ankunft der Schnitzel waren die Pommes bereits kalt. Das Schnitzel war auch nicht frisch und hatte bestenfalls Kantinenniveau. Zur Bezahlung wurden wir alle an die Theke gebeten, damit es die Bedienung einfacher hat. Schade, es ist ja beste Touristengegend. Man rechnet wohl damit, dass die Touristen nur einmal kommen und man will sich nicht anstrengen!

Hübsche Terrasse, sehr mäßiger Wein. Der Elblinger hat uns genauso wenig geschmeckt wie der Weißburgunder. Dass es keine Weinkarte am Tisch gibt, hat wohl seinen Grund. Wein trinken wir lieber woanders.

Leckeres Essen, TOP SERVICE, gute Preis-Leistung!

Sehr gutes und Preisleistungs bezogenes Essen

Wir hatten zu unserem Hochzeitstag reserviert. Als wir ankamen wurden wir schon vom Besitzer herzlich begrüßt und an einen wunderschön dekorierten Tisch begleitet. Aufgrund der Hitze hatte ich Kreislaufbeschwerden und der Barkeeper brachte mir sofort ein großes Wasserglas mit dem Hinweis, dass es selbstverständlich aufs Haus gehe. Kurze Zeit später spendierte uns der Besitzer auch noch zwei Sektgläser! Wir wurden von allen herzlich umsorgt und das Essen war super lecker, die Preise nicht überzogen und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Die Getränkeeinladungen haben wir aber mit einem großzügigen Trinkgeld belohnt. Es sollte für niemanden selbstverständlich sein, eingeladen zu werden. Wir können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!
