Gasthaus Mosellied in Trier

Ich empfand die Bedienung als extrem unfreundlich und sichtlich überfordert. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass hier jegliche Freude an der Arbeit mit Menschen fehlt - Gastfreundschaft sieht komplett anders aus. Das Essen war geschmacklich zwar okay, aber preislich zieht hier echt nur die Lage als Argument.

Sehr ruppige und unfreundliche Servicekraft. Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Die Lage an der Mosel ist schön, auch wenn es sehr eng gestuhlt ist.

Es war fantastisch! Der Kellner war sehr nett und das Essen köstlich! Einfach ein großartiges Erlebnis.

Das Essen war furchtbar. Die Forelle war eiskalt und der Flammkuchen zäh. Nach meiner Beschwerde gewährte der Besitzer einen Rabatt von 5 Euro. Der Kellner war stinksauer!

Sehr schöner Ort. Unfreundlicher Service. Schlechtes Essen (Klebriges Instant-Püree, zähe Mettwurst aus der Packung). Eher aufgewärmt als gekocht.

Wir versuchten, an einem Feiertag einen Tisch zu reservieren, doch uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass das Restaurant ausgebucht sei. Als wir trotzdem hingingen, hatten wir Glück: Ein Vierertisch war durch eine Stornierung frei geworden. Die Schnitzelgerichte waren ausgezeichnet, die Portionen großzügig und die Preise angemessen. Das Personal gab sein Bestes, um das volle Haus (an diesem Feiertag) zu bedienen. Wir alle vier waren sehr zufrieden und können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Die Außenterrasse ist toll. Allerdings gibt es dort kein Fleisch für Vegetarier. Ich musste 15 Minuten auf die Speisekarte warten, obwohl Kellner vorbeikamen und ich mitten auf der Straße stand. Meine Suppe ließ dann noch einmal 40 Minuten auf sich warten und war schließlich kalt. Ich habe mit Karte bezahlt; ein Kellner akzeptierte das, ein anderer bestand aber auf Bargeld.

Super Lage, gutes Essen und faire Preise. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Schöne Terrasse Blick auf die Mosel. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Kellnerin (mehrfach den Aschenbecher geleert. ) große Portionen. Preis/Leistung absolut fair. Absolut empfehlenswert

Das Restaurant liegt schön direkt am Fluss. Die Angestellten waren freundlich, aber der Service war extrem langsam. Es gab keine englische Speisekarte, was die Bedienung für Nicht-Deutschsprachige erschwerte. Das Essen war – aus meiner Sicht – sehr schlecht. Wir konnten es nicht essen, obwohl wir drei verschiedene Gerichte bestellt hatten.

Gasthaus Mosellied in Trier Ein schönes Lokal mit einem kleinen Innen- und großen Außenbereich, in bester Lage am Zurlaubener Ufer, direkt der Mosel. Die Speisekarte bietet etwas für den kleinen oder großen Hunger, für Fleischliebhaber ebenso wie für Vegetarier, regionale Spezialitäten und natürlich guten Wein. Besonders ist die gute Atmosphäre, von der sich wirklich alle „Esser“ anstecken lassen, weil hier Service Herzenssache ist. Und so ist es kein Wunder, dass das Lokal täglich ausgebucht ist. Wir würden hier wieder anhalten 👍🏻

Ausgezeichnet. Genau so etwas hatten wir uns von einem deutschen Restaurant vorgestellt. Der Kellner war freundlich und sprach fließend Englisch. Das Essen war köstlich.

Das Jägerschnitzel war sehr lecker meine Begleitung hatte den Camembert, dieser war wahrscheinlich aus der Packung. Der Service war leider nicht so gut haben lange warten müssen bis wir überhaupt eine Karte bekommen hatten

Wir kamen heute um 13:12 Uhr im Mosellied an und wollten uns gerade hinsetzen, als die Bedienung uns abrupt anfuhr. Sie sagte, wir könnten uns nicht setzen, da ihre Kollegin ab 14:00 Uhr komme und wir dann wieder kommen sollen. Kein Hallo, keine Begrüßung, gar nichts. Es muss zugegeben werden, dass sie drei zweier und einen Vierertisch hatte, also nicht gerade überlastet war. Allerdings war ihre unprofessionelle Art völlig inakzeptabel und nicht das, was man von einem Restaurant erwartet. Leider scheint es, als wäre es schwierig, heute qualifiziertes Personal zu finden, aber das entschuldigt nicht das Verhalten dieser Bedienung. Es war unser letztes Mal im Mosellied, und wenn möglich, würde ich ihnen minus Sterne geben.

Püree und Leberknödel recht geschmacklos, die Leberknödel waren verkocht und sehr weich. Die gebratene Leber war leider sehr sehnig. Beilagensalat hingegen war klasse

Excellent! We arrived with no reservations, the house was already fully booked but the staff were super friendly and arranged a table. The schnitzel with mushrooms was SUPERB and the nice german atmosphere. Strongly recommend 👌

A great little restaurant located on the Moselle River with a cozy atmosphere and friendly, hospitable staff. The food (I had the house schnitzel with fried potatoes and a side salad) was delicious, and there was a good selection of various delicacies (meat, fish, snacks, and desserts). I'd be happy to come back if I ever find myself back here from the south of Germany. Tip for those arriving by car: There's a parking lot a little further downstream (fees apply until 7 p.m.), which offers plenty of parking in the evenings. The city center is about a 15-20 minute walk away.

Awesome place to eat close to the river. The food was toe-curling memorable. The service was friendly and accommodating for our group. Highly recommend the pineapple and gouda schnitzel!

A very nice inn with a large outdoor terrace, also located on the dike with a view of the Moselle. A regular menu, moderate prices, a pleasant atmosphere, and a very cozy interior.

Even though it was very busy and all the tables on the terrace were occupied or reserved, they still managed to find us a nice spot in the shade for an hour. The service was very friendly and the food (we had schnitzel) was really good. The view of the Moselle is fantastic! Highly recommended!

The inn is located directly on the Moselle River and offers a beautiful view of the other side. I think the prices are normal for a wine-producing region. The drinks menu has something for everyone. We didn't order anything to eat. The interior is modern and beautiful. Highly recommended.

There were five of us who dined here. We had three meat and two vegetarian dishes with separate side salads, along with a variety of drinks and coffee. Although the restaurant was practically full, we were served quickly by the friendly staff. There was no wait, and we all received our food at the same time and in the correct order. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. Well-seasoned, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. Special requests were no problem. And all at a very fair price. We highly recommend this restaurant. We don't understand the one-star reviews. These people are dissatisfied with everything, and it doesn't reflect a realistic picture.

No, it couldn't be more unfriendly. Two of the two drinks were wrong. Then they started arguing.

Unfriendly establishment. They seem to get new tourists every day. They demand their change by saying, "I don't have 20 cents." This didn't just happen at our table. The staff makes their own tip.

I have nothing against frozen schnitzel, but it should at least be seared or deep-fried before serving. Simply defrosting and then topping it with cheese is completely unacceptable. I don't think I've ever eaten so badly in Trier, and that for almost €20! Another unacceptable thing is to first announce that you're coming inside to pay (by card) and then simply leave the guest standing there without comment. In conclusion: If you want to enjoy a good glass of wine or beer on the beautiful terrace and have plenty of time, this is the place for you. But if you're hungry, go somewhere else.

What terrible service! Never experienced this before! The staff at this restaurant are practically engaging in a form of small-scale fraud/theft! We weren't shown a card, so we decided to just have a drink and then leave. This was also due to the unfriendly service. When it was time to pay, the only option was cash. The price was €14.80, and I gave €50 and got €35 back, and the server said she was keeping the €0.20 for the service. Normally, I always tip and pay cash, but in this case, I wanted to pay by card because I really didn't want them to, and they didn't deserve it either, and then they kept the tip. Other tables had the same problem, and she rudely told them she didn't have any change to give back. A man walking around there was also very rude to people who had just arrived and sat down. I told them to leave while they still could and that the service was truly terrible! Other tables encouraged this, and they took our advice and lived happily ever after.

If you want to be served unfriendly, this is the place for you, otherwise you should go somewhere else.

A beautiful restaurant with a terrace right on the Moselle River. The selection of Moselle wines was very good. The portions were very large, offering good value for money. The menu was varied and partly regional. My criticism was the somewhat unfriendly service. In a restaurant, people want to have a good time, and they would definitely tip more if the service had been a bit more relaxed.

We can't comment on the food, as we were seated for 10-15 minutes and were completely ignored by several waiters. So we left, even though the ambiance right on the Moselle is certainly very nice, but that alone isn't enough.

A great atmosphere alone isn't enough to win you a prize. We waited 10 minutes, and three waitresses walked past our table several times without acknowledging us.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. The outdoor terrace on the Moselle is perfect.

In response to the owner's "astonishment", I should add that despite the extras, the mains were still very much overpriced, especially considering that it wasn't fresh pan-fried trout but two slivers of smoked trout. Hardly taxing to a chef. The wine list left much to be desired but I could forgive most of this had it not been for a few sour notes. I gave a fair review of the food itself. As for location, coming in from out of the country and through a half built railway station, it took us over 45 minutes to get there on foot. I understand the public transport links are not under your purview but for two hungry, footsore, tired tourists walking in searing heat, it was unpleasant. And lastly, I wish to address the criticism. Running a restaurant is a serious business. I've been to all manner of places on both sides of the Atlantic. If a customer is unhappy about their experience, I'd sooner look into the problem offline rather than fling thunderbolts and getting defensive. It doesn't reflect well on you when you blandly accept great reviews because most people either don't care or don't devote the time to pinpoint where there's room for improvement. I counted at minimum 85 reviews where the service was rude, obnoxious, overwhelmed or simply incompetent. Yes the view was lovely. But if I were you, I'd take a closer look on customer service.

Super delicious food and the wine from Kerpen is unbeatable.

The service was incompetent, unfriendly, and immediately irritated and rude. We asked for a bottle of wine - glasses were brought - the restaurant doesn't have bottles, only carafes - instead of telling the guests this normally, we were insulted. Then a colleague was sent to collect the money - simply ridiculous. We'll definitely never go there again.

A lovely restaurant with friendly hosts. The food was very good; one rump steak and cordon bleu with salad and perfectly crispy fries tasted amazing. Great wines and beers rounded it all off perfectly. I highly recommend it; we'll be back.

Never again!!!!! We were there with eight people and asked if we could put two tables together, which one waitress agreed to. After we were seated, another female waitress came over and immediately, in a fit of anger, forbade us from putting the tables together. We've never experienced anything like that before. If a group of eight people comes, they definitely don't want to sit separately! So, Jannik, I definitely don't recommend this place.

We found it! The most unpleasant waitress in Trier works at this restaurant... Unpleasant from the first word and no effort with foreign customers. What's more, we had to wait over 60 minutes to be served simple dishes. We'll never go back.

Delicious food Friendly service

Highly recommended... We've been here many times... sometimes for cappuccinos and apple strudel (very delicious), sometimes for a few drinks. Always with a beautiful view of the Moselle. It's cozy inside too... and the food is really good. A restaurant steeped in history.

Were there on Easter Sunday. If you hardly have any staff, at least you don't do outside catering. We felt sorry for the staff, they had to pay for everything. Offering a frozen schnitzel for almost 18 euros, you also have to bring it.

We had dinner here after our boat trip. After we initially weren't served at all and the neighboring table had already left, we found out that the waitress was supposed to serve two terraces alone. Unfortunately, later we also received a reprimand from the boss (not possible). The taste of the food was okay, but overpriced. You can't use the same thing for frozen schnitzel from the deep fryer, ready-made dressing on the salad and half a portion of fries as for freshly breaded goods and home-made salad. The very tasty Tk Champions were positive. Thank you again to the waitress for your extremely friendly efforts.

Fantastically good "Schweineschnitzel Art des Hauses". Was actually two pieces of schnitzel with good fries. Apple strudel for dessert and all four of us at the table enjoyed the evening. The service was good and a nice conversation with the restaurateur who had relatives in Sweden. We would love to come back here.

We were in Trier for a few days on vacation and went there twice to eat. We were very satisfied. The food was good, and the price was more than reasonable, considering it's right on the waterfront! Unfortunately, I still have to deduct one star because both times they said they couldn't make Lillet because they didn't have the ingredients, even though it was clearly stated on the menu.

Visited today and enjoyed dinner. Nice service, luckily got a table without a reservation. Food was good and came quite quickly. Schnitzel was good, but I think it was frozen and from the fryer. But I could also be mistaken. It's definitely nice to sit on the terrace in summer.

The boss is super hospitable, the staff is very attentive, the restaurant is unique and the food is delicious 😃 We always enjoy coming back.

We were in Trier spontaneously and found a place to eat here. Unfortunately our liver dumplings weren't really that good, as it turned out later that's often the case. We had mentioned it and they wanted to pass it on. As we were leaving we started talking to other guests and they said that it was always like that with the liver dumplings. I hope this will be looked into and we wish all other guests and the operators a good time and bon appetit

Very nice location, with good food

A small inn located directly on the Moselle. The food was tasty and the portion was sufficient. The inn is small but nice. Service was nice but not exactly on point and sometimes forgot something. We found the music to be positive: hits from the 70s/80s, which somehow suited a wine bar.

Schön gelegen in Zurlauben. Das Essen war gut, Trier ist allgemein teuer geworden, in sofern war der Preis o. k. Service war schleppend. Entgegennahme der Bestellung gute 30 Minuten, das Essen kam zügig, dann kam aber kein Kellner mehr an den Tisch. Zum Bezahlen ging einer der Gruppe rein. Vielleicht läuft es innen besser

Nicely located with a terrace on the pier

I was visiting Trier with a friend and we spotted this restaurant on our first day of arrival but it was closed for 2 days so we didn't get the opportunity to visit until the Wednesday evening. We were really looking forward to going as the place looked really nice and the menu looked excellent. However, although the food was good, the service was very, very slow and the staff were unfriendly and bad tempered. The lady who took our payment was particularly hostile and rude and we would never ever go here again. For this reason we cannot recommend this restaurant.
