Bitburger Wirtshaus in Trier

A beautiful brewery, with plenty of space and a good food and drink menu. The burgers are delicious, there's a good selection of beer, including some craft beers. Sports broadcasts are available on the big screen.

The place is very nice, with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was really great, very friendly and attentive at all times. The food was very good, and we really liked both the beer and wine we had. An excellent experience!

Nice terrace on the Korenmarkt. The service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed delicious cocktails and flammkuchen.

We were looking for a place to get one liter of beer, pretzels and a glass of wine. The attention was so good that we felt welcome to also order curry wurst. We loved the place and its vibe

A beer can't get any worse than this, a tragedy for any brewmaster and a disservice to Bitburger. We addressed the matter sympathetically, but the response was nothing but incomprehension.

We don't understand some of the very negative reviews. During our short trip, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet on both days, and we rounded off our last evening there with a hearty meal. Although it was always very busy, we were always served in a friendly manner. Everyone was very attentive, so a slight wait shouldn't be a reason to deduct points. We were completely satisfied and would visit this restaurant again anytime.

2 hours of waiting, no food. Germany is great...

The wait time and the communication are absolutely outrageous. I'm not saying long wait times are okay. But you have to communicate that. Even if you're asked several times, just honestly say that it's not possible today.

The service was very poor. The waiters were poorly trained and unmotivated, and consequently inattentive. Fortunately, there are alternatives all around.

There's not much to say... It was fabulously delicious... Service was top-notch.

We were there with a larger group. We waited well over an hour for our food and at least half an hour for each round of drinks. The cheese spaetzle was abysmal. The spaetzle were drowned in béchamel from a bag with a bit of cheese, and they were lukewarm. Never again.

The two stars are solely due to the service. The online reservation process was easy and straightforward. We spontaneously reserved a table and promptly got one at prime time. Once we arrived, we realized we could have found a seat without a reservation. We had a table in the winter garden, but had to change because it was impossible to converse due to a large group. Very poor soundproofing... The second room was fine. The service was friendly and largely attentive, although there's still room for improvement here, too. We tried several beers, which were perfectly fine! When we looked at the menu for a schnapps, we decided to change restaurants. There was hardly any choice, and more schnapps were only listed upon request. The food: Disastrous, unloving, and tasteless. The emphasis here is on tasteless, ready-made quantity over quality. This was the feeling at the entire table. I had a pork neck steak with bland ready-made spaetzle, wobbly mushrooms, and baked cheese. The presentation itself was very poor; a leaf of parsley would have improved it. Taste? Hunger drove it down... With a little salt and pepper, I at least ate the meat. It's a real shame! I definitely won't be back next time I'm in Trier!

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner during our company outing, having found a free table outside by chance. The place was very busy, and the weather was fantastic. We received friendly and fairly prompt service, and even after a very reasonable wait, we received our food. Every dish looked excellent, and we all enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for this wonderful end to our trip :)

The service was very nice and friendly. We were there with a group of 11 people. The food was not recommended across the board. The meat was very well done and dry, although the beef was medium rare. The cheese spaetzle tasted like water and nothing.

Food was very good, service was a bit understaffed. But it was still sufficiently fast. Can be recommended with a clear conscience.

We used to go to the breakfast buffet often and were always very satisfied. After a long break we went again and were very disappointed. The large buffet plus drinks were collected. But only the small buffet was uncovered. The fruit was long past its good days. The bananas mushy and brown. The pears were borderline bad and the grapes looked neither fresh nor washed. The yogurt tasted like yeast. All in all, the quality of some of the food was absolutely not okay.

We had to wait a really long time until we got something to drink, the food was okay, I expected more.

Very tasty breakfast, decent selection. And they could certainly sell more drinks if the service kept a better eye on it...

Let me start with the positive: the service was nice and the prices are fine. The terrace was half full and we had to wait 45 minutes for the food, which was a bit long. Furthermore, all the food was fried. The bratwurst, the half rooster and the grillhaxe came from the fryer. The outside is so hard that you cannot cut or eat it. It also does not improve the taste. All in all, a great terrace for a drink, but for really tasty food I would go further.

Had an enjoyable lunch, nothing like a beer tap at your table. We had bratwurst with sauerkraut that was excellent The curry wurst was also great.

Fried potatoes partially burnt and seasoned a lot with paprika. They've been in the pan for a while. Sauerkraut was good. Bratwurst snail very weak. Beer is okay.

Had breakfast today, the service gets a 1 from me, unfortunately everything I took for egg dishes was cold, the selection of rolls was very limited, the Easter plait was also frozen, a shame, I think it's a shame that they switched to frozen goods for rolls.

Good food, service and nice price!

I think the service is great, new people were trained and I found the interaction with the new employees very good. I sat at the counter for breakfast. Diverse offer. It tasted delicious, was fresh and was well presented. I think the price-performance ratio is great!!! One point was deducted because some of the dishes were not clean. Basically plates from the dishwasher simply stacked up without checking. In my opinion that doesn't work at all. I think there is an urgent need for action, and we can't save on staff either. Still 4 points because breakfast is great and the staff was super friendly.

Mein Flammkuchen war ungenießbar. Meine Töchter haben je ein Schnitzelgerichte bestellt, es wurde nur eins serviert. Ich mußte mindestens 4 x bitten zahlen zu dürfen 😔 Sehr enttäuschend 😞

Unfortunately an absolute disaster. How are you supposed to believe all of this... At lunchtime there were only two servers for the entire restaurant inside and the entire outside terrace. As a result, the tables could not be cleared away properly and entire tables were full of old place settings. The service staff also admit that they are absolutely overloaded and can't do it. Plates even fell several times while being carried away. This also meant that we got the wrong tea and barely saw the waitress. The menus were falling apart or were sticky and worn. The Bitburger we ordered was simply put there without any comment that it was alcohol-free as ordered, so we had to ask. We had to take the cutlery and the food from our neighbor's table - unpleasant! Unfortunately the food was a disaster. It looks good in the pictures, but that's it. A lot of things are pre-cooked. When we entered the restaurant, we walked past the kitchen. There I saw a lady holding a heat lamp over a tarte flambée. Later I saw my baked potato with shredded chicken underneath. The chicken consisted of strips like those you find in ready-made salads in discount stores. It was pale and undercooked. The potato wasn't steaming and wasn't cooked through, but rather hard. After a few minutes the food was cold again. I firmly believe that my food was simply prepped and then cooked under that lamp for 10 minutes. This has nothing to do with cooking and simply doesn't meet the requirements. The salad was okay, even though the dressing wasn't homemade. Management is expressly to blame here. The service staff only fights fires. We've really never experienced anything like this before. The store has so much potential.

Frozen vegetables absolutely not seasoned, mashed potatoes not creamy nor with chunks in them, probably neither butter nor milk in them, ready-made sauce...sorry, doesn't work at all. By cooking I don't just mean heating up, but preparing fresh vegetables and seasoning them too!! The young service staff did a really good job here, very friendly, helpful and quick.

Unfortunately the service was very bad. Long waiting time, even to pay. And then we had to pay for drinks that never arrived at the table despite being ordered several times. We didn't come to eat and didn't receive anything. Guaranteed never again.

Unfortunately the grill plate was cold and not medium rare but well done! Unfortunately, the taste is not recommended either. The price at €22 isn't cheap either. The espresso was cold after the sugar was added. The statement was: "I'm alone and there's a lot going on" the reservation was made 4 weeks in advance and not spontaneously. Unfortunately not recommended!! Beer was good.

Absolutely unacceptable. Ordered a medium grilled plate, the meat was cold and tough, the vegetables were cold, and the potatoes were burnt and dry. Service was completely overwhelmed. We sat for at least 30 minutes between each server visit without being able to order anything. Dishes were served incorrectly, and the last dish in the group arrived 20 minutes after everyone else had finished! Finally, we ordered 6 espressos, which were also served cold. Sugar was served 5 minutes later, after repeated requests. Service and food were terrible.

The service leaves a lot to be desired. Too few service staff. The plates, cups, etc. were piled up on the table. Nobody came to ask if we wanted something to drink.

The breakfast buffet is very good. There is enough choice of everything. However, some things were often empty and the staff was a bit slow in filling them up.

P/L okay. Good price for city conditions. Selection good, quality so semi. Personally, I find it more than cheeky to serve customers cheap baked rolls.

Bad underground is the best way to describe the store. 40 minutes until a coffee comes, food comes before drinks, wait forever to pay. Waiter dumps whole beer on guests... Never again!

I had a great experience at this restaurant overall. The food was delicious, with generous portions that left me satisfied, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, which made communication a breeze. The only downside was the wait time for the food—it took a bit longer than expected. Brauhaus in Trier, had dinner twice and it was excellent.

Whenever we are in Trier we go there to eat. When the weather is nice it takes a little longer because there is a lot going on. But the good food makes up for it. Price is completely okay. Keep it up

1a service, great selection and atmosphere

Brunch was a huge letdown. They got my order wrong twice, and we were seated in a freezing area. When we asked to move, they just turned on heaters, which didn’t warm up the space in time. The music was way too loud and totally off for a morning vibe. Overall, an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Wouldn’t return.

The food is good, although there is still a bit of room for improvement. There is a lot of choice at breakfast. I would recommend using containers with a heat supply for scrambled eggs and the like, as the scrambled eggs are often cold. Very nice and friendly service. The ambience is great, but for some time now there has been an unpleasant smell in the front room near the counter. Sometimes it takes a long time until the buffet is refilled (you can also see in some of the pictures that there was little choice left). But since it's a good deal overall for the price, I can still recommend it.

Delicious food at really fair prices. Plus friendly staff. The whole thing in the heart of Trier. What more could you want?

As to be expected, good choice of tasty draft beer. Food was okay, nothing really to come back for. Prices fair. Service was a little slow (not enough staff, I would say).

Das Theken Personal / Küche bekommt absolut den Ar... nicht rund um rechtzeitig die Speisen nach zu füllen ! Es hagelt Kunden Beschwerden bei dem Service Personal , das uns gegenüber zu gibt sich für den heutigen Tag zu schämen ! Es scheint als würde wirklich nur das Service Personal vor der Theke und bei den Getränken seine Leistung wirklich zu bringen ! Lange Schlangen bilden sich am Buffet um überhaupt Brötchen nach zu bekommen . Jedoch die Körbe bleiben über eine halbe Stunde leer ! Einige Kunden fotografieren das Geschehen mit ihrem Handy . Als Kunde kommt man sich hier verarscht vor , doch nicht nur das.... man muß für einen solch miserablen Service auch noch teures Geld bezahlen ! Eindeutig NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN !

Today and not again soon. Food at brunch is not replenished, by 10:30 a.m. the food was already gone. Plates and bowls empty. It wasn't until shortly before the end of the day that something was there again. Most of the guests were registered, one could have taken care of things. The waitress was embarrassed. The boss should perhaps think about the staff in the kitchen here. Family celebrations sat without food. Other guests took photos of the empty plates. You were allowed to pay in full, so they didn't charge half the price.

Salad came after the main course… The waiter asks: “What do you want?” and says to the service-adjusted tip: “Oh wow”. Cocktail arrived after about 15 minutes. Food and price in the green

We waited a long time for food and drinks. 4 drinks were brought in 3 tours. The food was inedible. From salad to schnitzel, white sausages and knuckle. There was also a pretzel that was so hard you couldn't even break through it. After complaining, a new one arrived half an hour later and was baked. I used to really like it here; but the quality has seriously deteriorated in the kitchen. Too bad.

Today we were at the Bitburger Wirtshaus in Trier for the first time. There was nothing wrong with the ambience and the service. Unfortunately, because of the food. The veal meatball curry that my wife ordered was good. Unfortunately my burger doesn't. The meat was fried to death and completely dry. The bacon on the burger, on the other hand, was raw, although you would imagine it to be fried crispy on a burger. The fresh onions indicated on the menu were eventually found as 2 small strips. Despite everything, I ate the burger because it was quite edible. Just take it as a small, well-intentioned suggestion for improvement.

Reservation was problem-free. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Recommended us the knuckle, which was really excellent. Delicious food in a great atmosphere. Always my pleasure.

If you want to have a leisurely buffet breakfast, then you've come to the right place. From various rolls, bread etc, to scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon mini sausages, everything is available. There is a large selection of side dishes, such as sausage, cheese, jam, Nutella, etc. The staff is polite and serves very quickly. There is plenty of seating, but it's better to reserve a seat on weekends. And all of this at an absolutely fair price.

There were 3 of us there today. The food was delicious, we were happy there, and the prices were okay too. I really liked the atmosphere. The only thing we didn't like was that it took a long time to get served even though there wasn't much going on, which was a shame!

We were very disappointed with the breakfast buffet today. Unfortunately it has worn off a lot :( Cheese is dry (it has been left for too long) there is no more orange juice to drink and instead there is only 1x multi juice per guest. For the money including hot drink, there are better breakfast locations in Trier. Very unfortunate.

Breakfast has deteriorated considerably.

We were there for dinner with 4 people on December 31, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. and planned to stay there until midnight because the opening time was stated until midnight. At 10:55 p.m. our very nice waiter came and said that the “last round” would be at 11:00 p.m. and that he would take our order then. When he came back to our table a little later than 11 p.m., he announced that the bar manager would no longer be serving drinks and charged us. At 11:40 p.m. all guests were basically thrown out of the restaurant, even though the opening time was stated until midnight and was also posted on the door. The fact is: This restaurant has embarrassed itself to the bone and we will not be guests there again.

Sera del primo dell’anno a Trier è tutto chiuso e sprangato. Abbiamo trovato per caso questo locale aperto all’interno di un casino. Bellissimo l’interno anche se i tavoli con sgabelli possono non essere proprio comodi. Il personale è gentile parla inglese (e una ragazza anche un po’ di italiano) e il menù offre piatti della tradizione tedesca oltre qualche piatto diciamo più giovanile. Il cibo è buono la birra ancora meglio ☺️ A noi è piaciuto

Warning about the children's burger, this consists of a dry patty on a dry bun. The whole thing for €5.90. “That’s what we do here!” After all, this was not charged in response to my complaint, a desirable indication of the special type of preparation, but "did not want to be discussed".

Our ritual for years, two days in Trier and dinner and breakfast here the next day. The food is always delicious and everything is freshly prepared, the breakfast is very rich and always freshly replenished at the buffet, the staff is always super friendly and very attentive. We are already looking forward to the next visit 😉

Unfortunately, I have rarely had such bad service! Ordered a cocktail for happy hour at 10:30 p.m. and, despite asking repeatedly, didn't get it until 11:15 p.m.! Unfortunately the cocktail (Long Island Ice Tea) didn't taste good at all. After I told the bartender this in English, he just made an unpleasant gesture! After the boss came, he tried to tell us that we only waited 19 minutes, which was definitely not true! But it was less about the waiting time and more about the treatment of the bartender and the customer, which the “boss” didn’t see! Unfortunately very unsatisfactory!

Sehr sehr schade. Wollten eigentlich einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden verbringen und zusammen Essen gehen. Tisch seit zwei Wochen reserviert, wurden dann aber in eine Räumlichkeit gesetzt in der große Gruppen gefeiert haben. Absolut viel zu laut und der Chef ist nicht in der Lage gewesen Tisch zu tauschen obwohl noch genügend Platz da war. Wer also auf Essen in einer lauten Bahnhofskneipe steht wird sich da wohl fühlen. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen obwohl das Essen eigentlich sehr gut war.Schade.

We were here on a Saturday evening in Advent. The restaurant was very full around 7 p.m. and reservations were not possible. Nevertheless, we got a table quickly and were served just as quickly and very friendly. Four of us ate here. The Wiener Schnitzel was underground. It was fried and for quite a long time so it was hard. Unfortunately the fries were lukewarm. Salad was a ready-made salad. The tarte flambées were ok.

Went there for dinner today and despite many reservations we were assigned a table. Hats off to what the boys and girls do in the service and kitchen there, top food, service and ambience full marks...

Waited 20mins for Service. We were in a very obvious area opposite the open kitchen and in front of the cash register. Staff members passed by us multiple times, joked with each other at the cash register but no one came to take our orders. I've been here numerous times in the past 10 years and was always very pleased. This is truly a shame. I hope you improve. You have lost a customer due to your lack of customer service. There were enough waitstaff, there is no excuse.

My wife and I had dinner at the inn today. The ambience is really nice. But when it comes to food, opinions go way down. I had the bratwurst snail with sauerkraut and fried potatoes. The snail was okay, the sauerkraut was very good. But the fried potatoes lacked seasoning and onions. My wife had cheese spaetzle with salad... or rather salad with cheese spaetzle. The salad was in the majority, but also a bit bland. The cheese spaetzle, a minority, a bit mushy and without fried onions, as we usually know it. There was also a lack of spicy cheese, instead just tasteless Gouda. The highlight of the visit was our service person Dennis, a service provider like the rest, friendly and courteous and yet reserved. Because of him we will come back.

The food is nothing special. The service staff seemed to have too much to do, as we sometimes had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks. It's very loud.

I've been to the pub in Trier several times and so far it's been okay. But this time I was really horrified because I was served bad chicken, even though it smelled strongly of old fish. I was lucky that I only ate a tiny piece and didn't catch any salmonella. I'm appalled that a chef would serve something like this and not smell or see it. The meat didn't look good either. For me, something like that is a no go and I won't eat anything from it anymore.
