Great, Bavarian good, everything was perfect! 👍

It's been a while since our visit, I have to say. Ordering was complicated and unfortunately everything came too late after there was no waitress there. Then the food was served to two people at different times, my friend's meat was completely burnt and unfortunately the service was not good. The young waiter complained to new guests, asking that hopefully they wouldn't be as annoying as the previous guests at the table. A pure disaster. Unfortunately, paying was also a problem. I hope that things will get better in the future. I had better memories of the food over 20 years ago.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered cheese spaetzle and was surprised that the dish was served to me after just a few minutes. The cheese spaetzle tasted completely bland and was probably the worst I have ever eaten. But that would still be understood as a question of taste. What was really nice were the homemade fried onions. Well, I thought, I'll just eat the salad that was served with it. Unfortunately it wasn't washed properly and was sandy. That completely ruined my hunger, I paid and left immediately.

We were looking a place for dinner which was not too central for Ingolstadt and ended up this place. Schnitzel, Nurnberger sausages were okay. I would not say this place is the best but it is definitely good for a regular dinner.

I used to think the restaurant was really great and therefore gave it 5 stars for a long time. But now they seem to have become arrogant. This started shortly after Corona, when all regular customers were promised that after the pandemic we would host a barbecue evening where we only had to pay for the drinks. But this was forgotten once they got better financially again. Since then, regular customers are no longer worth anything and walk-in customers are much more important. The day before yesterday was the tip of the iceberg. We (two of us) were in the mood for Bavarian. The beer garden was full, but not overcrowded. When we asked one of the waitresses where we could sit down, she said that all the free tables were reserved and that they were fully booked until closing time, even though only two of the free tables had a "Reserved" sign. When we asked further questions about whether we could wait until someone left, all we got was a snappy "No", she ended the conversation and went back to other things. Unfortunately for them, I noticed that a group of 6 people asked for a table just after us. She made them wait for a moment until she had sent us and another couple away and then led them to one of the free seats. So they only have room if they can expect to earn as much as possible per table. Now you act as if you always have enough customers that you don't care whether they come back or not. But then in the winter, when the beer garden season is over, you're begging for customers again and you're afraid of going bankrupt. But this time we will no longer support you. If you don't keep your promises and treat people who have helped you badly, you can't expect them to help you again. P.S. The ambience was also nicer. The garden looks unkempt and partly untidy. The yard also seems smaller, but more tightly packed together. So it looks more like an unkempt backyard in which a few tables and chairs have been temporarily placed than a restaurant or beer garden.

Super delicious suckling pig meal in the beer garden! The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. The side dishes of dumplings, salads and spaetzle were also very tasty. Nice, relaxed and rustic atmosphere.

Cozy beer garden right on Münchner Straße. Nicely shady under old chestnut trees. Parking spaces in the courtyard and on Weningstrasse.

The food was very good. We'd love to come back.

Cozy beer garden with delicious food. We had the pork knuckle and beef roulade. One star deducted because it said RinderrouladEN on the menu. Unfortunately it was only one. And for just under €18 I would have expected at least two. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

The Tyrolean Gröstel was good, the service was friendly, parking was possible in the parking lot or on the side street. Ambience was OK, but the toilet was not clean or well maintained at the time of evening we were there. We pointed this out and the waitress was grateful for the tip and wanted to take care of it.

Nice traditional beer garden with a good selection of Bavarian specialties. The service was quick and friendly and. The large chestnut trees offer plenty of shade and give the beer garden its special flair even though it is located on a busy street

We ate in the beer garden of the inn while passing through. I had a huge portion of meatloaf, barely manageable. It was delicious, the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Price/performance match here. The atmosphere in the beer garden: wonderful. Looking forward to the next visit

Hey, what's up, what's going down?? So at first you think it's going to be really loud because of Münchner Straße, but they've installed it so nicely that you can't hear them! The food and staff are great, I really enjoy going here and can only recommend it.

Nice big portions and friendly service

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined rapidly, the portions have become significantly smaller and unfortunately all that can be said about the service is: always trying hard. It's a shame, no comparison to last year!

Nice beer garden, unfortunately the price is not right, the pork knuckle was tough and without any crust, even the special knife was unsuitable because it was also blurry. Unfortunately it's not an isolated case - my neighbor at the bank had the same experience. It's a shame about the traditional restaurant but it's better to go somewhere else or you can only eat schnitzel 😄🍻🍺 as the other dishes in our group looked delicious and everyone was satisfied, a medium rating. But you should give the pork knuckles a wide berth 😄.

Unfortunately I upset my stomach the day before yesterday. I ordered meat patties that were completely raw inside. They were fried at my request. I suspect that the meat was no longer fresh and was frozen. Otherwise I really enjoyed going to Bonsschab... of course something like that shouldn't happen.

Went to eat there yesterday, i am writing this reviw as me and my woman are completely sick and puking in the middle of the night. We ate schnitzel with champignon sauce. Avoid this place as much as you can. Spended 50€ to get both food poisoned. This restaurant is horrible.

We spontaneously went there for dinner with our children. We got a great free seat in the beer garden. Due to renovations in the interior, “only” a limited menu was available. But the dishes on it were completely sufficient and were very tasty. We had the cheese spaetzle (for me the best cheese spaetzle I've eaten in recent years) and the pork medallions in cream sauce. Both dishes completely convinced us. In terms of price, the food at Bonschab really stands out. Unfortunately, the beer is based on almost all other Castros. All in all we had a really tasty meal and felt completely at home.

A very good experience in this place! I'll come again during my next travels in Ingolstadt.

Nice crew, it was pretty full but we were lucky and a table in the beer garden became available. The young waitress was young, friendly and quick, even though there was a lot going on. The food was good, even price-wise. But the traffic noise was unbearable so we left the beer garden quite early. Therefore only 4 points in total

We were here for dinner today. The first thing that immediately caught your eye was that even though there wasn't much going on, a lot of the tables were still dirty. The very rude waitress still didn't bring us any cards after 10 minutes, so my partner had to go ahead and get them himself. (We were the only new guests!!) The drinks arrived very late. The food requests were asked in a very unfriendly manner. The meal was okay. But in general the waitress was more busy with her cell phone and her cigarette than paying attention to the guests. We had to draw attention to ourselves several times so that we could even pay. Then she had the audacity to wait for a tip, which she didn't get or deserve because of her poor service and behavior. P.S. I work in the catering industry myself.

Not recommended, not very busy and bad food. The schnitzels are not cooked through and the salads are unwashed. In addition, the service hardly cares about the customers; you have to report everything yourself. The atmosphere is more like a pub for pensioners over 50. A fast food restaurant is more recommended.

We ordered Bonschab cordon bleu and the pork roast in creamy mushroom sauce. Hands down the best dishes we’ve eaten in Germany. Highly, highly recommend making your way to this Biergarten.

Great food, great staff, portions perfect

Very good typical food. I ordered a Bonchabs Schnitzel that had potatoes in batter and the fillet was under a bed of mushrooms, the mushroom sauce provided the juiciness that the fillet was missing, and the legs, practically puree, were breaded and fried, leaving a layer roasting But the best was the kaisershmarrn, it is a kind of very thick, broken pancake, with nuts and applesauce, what a delight, it was perfect. t It had toasted parts and parts with more dough. It is the flavor of a pancake that has been put through a toaster, then the compote provides just the right sweetness without overdoing it and to finish you find the crunch of the nuts... I am left speechless and I also get hungry just thinking about it . In short, a typical place with more than abundant portions and a plus of desserts. If I ever come back I will definitely repeat.

Cozy inn with very friendly service. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The spinach dumplings are very large, but unfortunately they don't taste like anything. Unfortunately, there was very little cream sauce for the dumplings with cream mushrooms.

A really old, rustic pub with a great ambience where I ate a delicious, full plate with two dumplings, red cabbage and two not-thin slices of roast pork for little money. I was thrilled and can only say great, two thumbs up!!👍🏼👍🏼🍻

One of the few original traditional restaurants with good home cooking. Something for everyone. Changing daily specials. Price performance is top for me. Had herring with fried potatoes and salad, the tartar sauce was homemade and very tasty. The service was very nice and friendly. Rustic atmosphere. Parking is a bit difficult there are a few parking spaces in the courtyard but you can park along the street. So far we have always found a parking space nearby. Unfortunately we hadn't made a reservation, which you should definitely do, but the friendly service just had a small table for us. We always like to go there for dinner and can only recommend it.

Bonschab is an institution in Ingolstadt, but we were still surprised that the inn was packed so shortly after 5 p.m. Despite everything, the lady from the service gave us a place at a large table. We ordered roast pork and onion schnitzel. The roast pork was juicy and delicious with dumplings and red cabbage. Simply a tasty roast pork, as it should be. The roast is tasty, the beer is tasty, that's how it should be. Later you and two others sat down at the table and that was great because in a real tavern you got to talk to people you would never have met otherwise, according to the motto2 sit here, then sam ma mera. Big thanks to the lady from the service, always nice and friendly, despite the busy restaurant and stress. Thanks also to the kitchens and bar team. You're doing a great job.

The food tastes very tasty and the portions are also very large. So you will definitely be full. The food is also very inexpensive. It's really worth a visit!

We were there with several people and unfortunately repeatedly had bad experiences with the service staff during dinner. So we always had to draw attention to ourselves when we wanted something to drink or eat. Unfortunately, sometimes the order was incorrect or took a very long time. Unfortunately, the reason given was that the restaurant was full and was only appeased instead of apologised. It may take a while and an error will happen, but so many at once is just a shame. Unfortunately, without improvements it is not recommended. No time to serve but photos can be taken. The prices are reasonable and consistent for the portions.

Rustic restaurant, friendly service and tasty food. I had the grill plate with fried potatoes, everything was cooked to perfection. Is recommended, but it is advisable to reserve in advance. I would eat there again at any time. We stopped by there spontaneously and it was very crowded. For me it was a bit too loud in the inn as everyone was talking, but that's inevitable given its economy.

If you would like to experience 'Bayern' - come here and taste local cousine. Delicious meals, beers & schnaps. Excellent service and atmosphere! It became my 'must visit site'.

The worst meal in a long time! I had the herb champion with bread dumplings, if you can even call it that. Just a compacted mass of dough that was almost impossible to cut. The service was also rather unfriendly and pushed us to order.

We had suckling pig with dumplings and red cabbage with 30 people and it was great! The meat was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, the sauce was very tasty and the beer was also quick. Any time!

Didn't eat anything, just drank! Luckily there is now real beer because, like Nordbräu, you can only drink Löwenbräu if you force yourself to drink it!

Super leckeres Essen (Schäufele), freundliche Bedienung, hat alles gepasst.

Im Bonschab bekommt man immer gutes Essen. Gut bürgerlich und reichlich. Die Einrichtung ist urig und original. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Im Sommer gibt es einen schönen Biergarten mit Kastanien. Ausserhalb der Biergartensaison sollte man unbedingt reservieren. Es ist sonst kaum möglich einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich und flott, obwohl hier immer viel los ist. Wir gehen hier gerne zum Essen, weil es lecker und gemütlich ist und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis noch stimmt. Zu beachten ist, dass man nicht immer einen Parkplatz direkt beim Lokal bekommt. Aber wenn man ein paar Schritte zu Fuß in Kauf nimmt, findet man immer einen Parkplatz.

Danke an das Bonschab Team für unsere tolle Weihnachtsfeier! Jeder hat sich bei euch wohl gefühlt und war mehr als zufrieden! Der Service war von der zeitlichen Abstimmung perfekt! Das Essen war spitzenmässig und hat allen hervorragend geschmeckt! Vor allem die Garnelen in Chilli Olivenöl gebraten waren ein kulinarischer Genuss! Die von uns mehrheitlich georderten Fleisch- und Grillgerichte und vor allem die Steaks waren ein Highlight! Zum Abschluss dann der absolute Hammer: Der Kaiserschmarrn mit karamelisierten Nüssen war einfach nur zum Wegschlemmen! Vielen Dank, dass wir diesen netten Abend bei Euch verbringen konnten!

Alte Gasthäuser haben für mich immer einen habe schon viele in Deutschland gesehen und mal ausprobiert. Gasthaus bonschab ist eine gute Adresse. Stabile Preise sehr schmackhaftes essen und ausreichend Portionen. Wir werden wiederkommen 👍

Leider konnte man nicht bestellen wie man wollte. Weil irgendetwas in der Küche defekt war. War sehr schwierig, das hätte man vorher sagen können. Das Essen war früher bedeutend besser. Muß ich leider Sterne abziehen. Das Essen hat sehr nachgelassen. Das Ambiente ist ganz ok aber da könnte man mehr draus machen. Aber das ist jetzt mein empfinden.

Ganz tolles Restaurant: Schmackhaft, günstig, gute Portion, netter Service, es gibt nichts zu meckern. Von aussen ein wenig unscheinbar, aber innen alles bestens. Wir kommen wieder!

La CUCINA BAVARESE! Trovato per caso tornando da Norimberga grazie a TripAdvisor. Locale magico dove si mangia cucina tedesca tipica e con porzioni da oscar. I figli avevano una cotoletta talmente grande che ne hanno mangiato solo metà e il resto lo abbiamo portato via per il giorno dopo. Camerieri fantastici e prezzi super. Spero di tornarci in futuro. Guten appetit!

Locale bavarese nei pressi di uno dei ponti lungo il fiume Danubio subito al di fuori del centro città.in direzione sud ovest. Locale caratteristico che offre piatti tipici della cucina bavarese. Luce un po' troppo soffusa. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo
