A very good, traditional Bavarian restaurant. The sauerbraten is extremely delicious. The grilled dishes are also highly recommended! A real insider tip. Whenever we're in the area, we stop here. One of the best restaurants I've been to, and almost everything is homemade, which you can taste! 😊

The Wirtshaus zum Pauli is a reliable choice for traditional German cuisine. We've been there several times, and each time we've been greeted and served very warmly. The friendly staff was always attentive. The food is delicious and plentiful, and the prices are fair. What more could you want? The ambiance and rustic decor are also perfect. Other guests seem to agree, as the restaurant is always bustling. It's therefore advisable to reserve a table by phone. A large, free parking lot is located directly in front of the building.

We visited the Wirtshaus zum Pauli on an October weekend and were delighted: • 🚗 Easily accessible, large parking lot (though it fills up quickly in the evenings). • 📞 Reservations by phone are recommended, as there is no online booking system. • 🪵 Very rustic atmosphere with lots of wood and charming decorations – typically Bavarian and cozy. 🍷 Drinks like the house wine and pomegranate spritzer were delicious and reasonably priced. • 🍖 Food: Sous vide lamb rump steak with rosemary potatoes and a grilled skewer with vegetables – large portions, very tasty, and absolutely affordable. • 👩‍🍳 Friendly, attentive service; card payments accepted. The only minor drawback: Our clothes smelled slightly of the kitchen after our visit. Overall, however, a highly recommended inn with an authentic atmosphere and good value for money.

Our visit was once again pleasantly satisfying. Good food and generous portions always draw our family to this restaurant. The staff are always very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. We'll gladly return.

The best service I've experienced in a long time. The food was excellent for a group of 22. Gluten-free options were available on the grill menu and were delicious. Children are welcome and lovingly cared for.

We arrived today at 11:00 a.m. to get something to eat. The friendly waitress told us that hot meals wouldn't be served until 11:30 a.m. She suggested asking the manager, who was in the kitchen, if he could cook something then. We heard a loud shout from the kitchen: "No! They could come at 8:00 a.m. and want something to eat." As I said, it was 11:00 a.m. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. The website says: Open from 10:00 a.m. There's no mention of food not being served until 11:30 a.m. I wouldn't recommend putting something like this on your website.

Today, three people came to dinner, and we brought home a Wiener Schnitzel to go for Junior! Very attractive packaging! The potato salad was worthy of a toque! The schnitzel, too! The portions were truly generous! The decorations on the plates were very attractive! Value for money? I think the price is almost too low for this quality and quantity. Service is very attentive, always helpful, and polite—but not intrusive. Cleanliness in every nook and cranny! Conservatory also for smokers, otherwise undercover in front of the door! Heaters everywhere! The ambiance is stylishly rustic, yet understated and tasteful!!!! I'd love to give it 10 stars if possible! Yesterday we ordered a family dinner at the restaurant. The place is very pleasant, but if you sit outside, it's a bit noisy because the restaurant is close to the road. It's better inside. Delicious Bavarian-style food, and the waiter is very friendly. I highly recommend it.

We have been guests for many years, have always been served politely, and the food has been top quality for years, with special requests always fulfilled. During our visit on Wednesday evening, we observed a complaint about the food at the neighboring table (review by M A). The soup was served with the Balkan plate and the guest ignored it for 10 minutes, after which it naturally got cold. The cevapcici with the Balkan plate was supposedly cold and was taken to the kitchen by the waitress. After about 3 minutes, the gentleman was brought a new plate with the explanation that the kitchen had checked and the dish was warm. This was interesting for us, as a friend of ours had the same dish and everything was perfect. The guest then asked the waitress if anyone had put their fingers on the plate. She explained that the chef had taken a part to test it. How else could the chef have verified this claim? When paying, the guest refused to pay for the dish, and the waitress pointed out that, according to the hostess, he had to pay for it. If he has any questions, he can ask the landlady at the bar. We found the manner in which the bartender was being treated very strangely and noticed it right away, whether we wanted to or not. Regarding the noise level, all I can say is that you're sitting in a beer garden next to a two-lane highway.

The worst restaurant experience so far. We came here with the plan to celebrate a baptism and to try out the food before booking the restaurant. We ordered a Balkan plate and a room schnitzel because the dishes from the daily menu we wanted to order were no longer available by 6 p.m. As for the food: the Balkan plate was 80% cold in the middle, except for the fries. The dish was returned to the kitchen with a request for a fresh, warm dish that wasn't just half-heated. The soup bowl was considerably hotter than the soup contents were at room temperature. After a personal conversation with the manager and the chef, there was no leniency, as no plate had been returned to the kitchen since 1964 (according to the chef's own statement). All in all, not recommended. If it were possible to give less than one star, we would. A disgrace.

I visit Wirtshaus Zum Pauli every time I’m in Ingolstadt from America, and it never disappoints! Celebrated my 60th birthday here with a party of eight, and the authentic Bavarian cuisine was exceptional, as always. The service was outstanding, handling our group with ease and warmth. A must-visit for anyone craving a true taste of Bavaria!

Eight of us were there for dinner, and I have to say, everything was fantastic! The atmosphere in the winter garden was great, cozy, and we had a great conversation despite the restaurant being full. The food was really very good, tasty, and fresh. A Cordon Bleu with Limburger cheese is rare, but that's what makes it special: very tender meat; it was one of the best I've ever eaten. I particularly note the extremely friendly and attentive service; that's unfortunately rare these days, keep it up 👍. The only suggestion for improvement would be to add orange to the Aperol instead of three quartered limes, which distorted the flavor of the Aperol and made it too sour. All in all, simply top-notch! We'd be happy to come back. Thank you!

The food is truly delicious. Bavarian, meat-heavy dishes, accompanied by a cool light beer. Just what I needed. But there are plenty of other dishes too. Here, you can still feast like in the old days. The beer garden is a bit noisy. The inn, however, is quiet and cozy.

We used to come to the Wirtshaus zum Pauli quite often; I don't even know why we didn't go anymore. But we went back for a birthday party. The atmosphere was still very nice. The ladies at the service were also very friendly and attentive. The food was very, very tasty. However, it was very, very hot in the porch. The windows couldn't be opened and a hornet kept flying at our table and the windows. That wasn't so funny; some of us left early as a precaution for fear of being stung. We'd be happy to come back even without hornets.

The food was good, but ordering was difficult. The children's orders couldn't be taken early because the kitchen apparently couldn't accommodate them. We were told this several times in a harsh tone.

We ate there yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. The food was not only delicious, but also plentiful – really great portions at a fair price. We'd especially like to highlight the friendly, young staff: very friendly, attentive, and always in a good mood – that made the visit even more enjoyable. Okay, I’m officially convinced! Every time I see the servers in traditional German dirndls and lederhosen, I know the food is going to be amazing. I got the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, and it was so flavorful—plus, you definitely get plenty for your money. My husband ordered the steak, and he loved it too; he couldn’t even finish it because there was so much. The restaurant had nice decor, and the service was great as well. I’d definitely recommend it!

Still a good location that also serves Croatian specialties. The prices are reasonable and there are good parking options.

We always enjoyed going to Pauli often, the food was great and the service was great. Unfortunately, dogs are suddenly no longer allowed and we had to spontaneously look for another restaurant despite having a reservation. It's a shame, but Pauli is basically no longer an option for us.

The service was very nice. They liked the food my companion ordered. Unfortunately I can't say anything about mine, because as a vegetarian who only wanted to eat side dishes, the chef didn't sell them. There were two vegetarian dishes on the menu, which unfortunately didn't suit my taste. It's a shame they apparently don't need it.

Highly recommended. Card payment is possible. There are enough parking spaces available. Excellent food with large portions. Service was impeccable and the waiting time for the food was short. There is also a covered outdoor area. Unfortunately, dogs 🐕 have to stay outside.

I would say mixed. We are a larger group, usually between 10-20 people, eat somewhere else every week and were there last night. Well, it's quite loud outside because the main road is right next door, but inside it's very cozy and even romantic in the evenings with the subtle lighting. All the portions looked pretty good and all the food was served more or less at the same time. I would consider the price-performance ratio to be reasonable. But my fries were rather dry chips, meaning they were fried for far too long. All of the cevapcici (a total of 3 portions ordered) were on the grill for far too short a time. In short, there are much better ones. The other dishes were all good, from what I could tell. But: Things that are actually obvious (fries instead of Djuvec rice +1€, ketchup +0.5€, mayo +0.3€) are good here. When asked about the bill, a reference in the menu was pointed out, which was nowhere to be read. If you have to be so petty, then unfortunately in my opinion something is wrong/no longer right. It's a shame, that doesn't show entrepreneurial foresight. The first impression is the decisive one, but the last one is the lasting one.

We are disappointed! The food was always great and we were often guests at larger parties. Our dog was always welcome too. Dogs are no longer allowed recently, which is a real shame! He is part of the family so you have lost us as guests!

We easily got a seat even though it was already 8 p.m. The selection is good. The food was really good and there was plenty of it. I had the food packed up and took it with me.

Hello everyone, three of us had dinner there and were very satisfied. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Even though we were very hungry, we were full and ate everything. The place was full. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait too long. The side dishes and the meat were very good, as was the salad. We had grilled plates and lamb Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. We found the price-performance ratio to be reasonable. I can only recommend it. We will go again.

Traditional Ingolstadt inn run by the Burger family. Delicious, creative cuisine with, among other things, Croatian dishes. Nice, attentive service staff and very professionally managed. You can sense that the friendly chef Engelbert Burger is a trained restaurateur from scratch. Always worth a visit, even for larger groups.

We were a small group. Eat and drink something. Being together comfortably. Just before Christmas. We were served by a friendly person, My liver spaetzle soup was delicious. Then the main course, a grill plate for me. It was fine and extremely plentiful. One of the “sauces” was slightly spicy but very good. Afterwards we treated ourselves to a snap. And even some ice cream at the end. A lovely evening in a cozy inn

Quaint, cozy restaurant. Food was super tasty, service was friendly and on the ball. It doesn't get any better in Ingolstadt if you want to eat traditional food or Balkan grill.

We were passing through and since the inn was easy to reach from the motorway and was open at lunchtime, we stopped there. We immediately liked the cozy, rustic atmosphere with traditionally dressed and friendly service. The food came very quickly and was solid, with an attractive daily menu. If we get hungry again the next time we're traveling through, we'll definitely come back.

I had the Wiener Schnitzel. Changing from potato salad to fries cost €1. This was not noted on the map. At least not visible. Asking for small changes is a no go! The schnitzel was a bit limp (breading). At the entrance there is a somewhat older sign that says: Card payment machine is defective. Then had to go to the ATM. If you don't offer cashless payment, you don't have to worry about not having enough change in the house (8 people, 5 pay for around €40 with a 100). Unfortunately I can only partially recommend the restaurant.

The taste of the food was okay. The Schäuferle was pretty tough. The potato toilet was probably not homemade. Changes cost extra. Packing up leftover food also costs extra. Apparently packaging in aluminum foil is prohibited by law. I have rarely heard such nonsense as an excuse. Unfortunately, dogs are not welcome.

This time with my son, as always great food, generous portions, great service, who kept asking if we needed anything else, great value for money. However, points are deducted because the interior rooms were not very heated. The service staff also walked around with a long-sleeved jacket and I also noticed that some guests ate their food with their jackets on. It would be nice if this situation could be remedied.

The Wirtshaus zum Pauli offers a home-style menu with a Yugoslavian touch. The food was tasty, the portions were plentiful, the beer was cold and the service was very good, what more could you want? What we liked best was the operators' courageous decision not to allow dogs. No yapping, no growling, no drooling or shaking at the next table. Absolutely hygienic, not everyone wants dogs while they eat.
