Wirtshaus Zum Pauli in Ingolstadt

Wir kamen in unserem Hotel an und schauten uns um, was es in der Nähe zu essen gab. Wir reservierten telefonisch und gingen dann hin. Die Angestellte war sehr freundlich. Mein Freund hat Legasthenie und dachte, er hätte ein „Sweine Schnitzel“ bestellt, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es ein „Sweizel Schnitzel“ war. Als es serviert wurde, war er etwas enttäuscht, da er keinen Käse mag. Mein Essen war sehr salzig, schmeckte aber ansonsten gut. Wir saßen draußen; es war etwas laut wegen der vielbefahrenen Straße, aber man konnte sich gut unterhalten. Es gab viele schattige Plätze. Anscheinend wurden wir (weil wir Touristen waren) in einen Bereich geleitet, in dem auch Gäste ohne Reservierung saßen. Trotzdem waren es nette Lokale.

Das Essen war köstlich. Es war sehr voll, deshalb mussten wir etwas länger warten. Aber das ist verständlich.

Es war sehr heiß im Restaurant, trotz offener Fenster. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Der Service war schlecht. Es waren nur zwei Kellner mit zu vielen Tischen, wir mussten lange auf Essen und Trinken warten. Andere Gäste, die nach uns kamen, bekamen vorher ihr Essen und die Getränke. Ich würde das Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Sehr schönes bayrisches Wirtshaus mit tollen Biergarten und sehr nettem Ambiente auch im Innenbereich. Das Personal immer aufmerksam und super freundlich. Essen war ausgezeichnet, allerdings sollten Freunde den panierten Champignonrahmschnitzels eines normales Schnitzel wählen und die Soße dazu. Hier wird das Champignonrahmschnitzel nämlich natur serviert mit der Soße. Super perfekt auf den Punkt gebraten, also absolut empfehlenswert, aber ich wollte es nicht unerwähnt lassen, nicht dass andere evtl. enttäuscht sind. 5 Sterne 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 von uns und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Absulut prima Wirtshaus. Wer sich vom Anblick des Hinterhofes nicht abschrecken lässt, wird positiv überrascht. Ist lecker und der Biergarten hat Charme.

Hat gut geschmeckt und man kann draußen super sitzen. Ist nur etwas laut wegen den Autos direkt an der Schnellstraße, aber nicht weiter wild. Gerne wieder.

Das Schnitzel war köstlich und groß. Und der Kaiserschmarrn war der beste, den ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe.

Wenn wir in Ingolstadt sind, oder auf der Durchreise geht es für uns immer "zum Pauli". Von der A9 , AS Ingolstadt - Nord, ist es gerade mal 1 Minute zum Wirtshaus. Wir saßen diesmal im gemütlichen Biergarten, hier ist es durch die angrenzende Schnellstraße leider oft sehr laut. Aber auch drinnen sitzt man sehr schön und gemütlich. Leckere Wirtshaus und Balkan Küche.

Tolles Restaurant. Super leckeres Essen. Große, köstliche Portionen. Großes, stimmungsvolles Restaurant, blitzsauber. Das Essen kam sogar schnell. Wir waren auf dem Weg, aber wenn ich jemals wieder die Gelegenheit dazu habe, werde ich das Restaurant definitiv wieder besuchen. Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen. 10/10

Sehr gemütlich Bayrisches Wirtshaus.

Wir hatten für Sonntag anlässlich einer Kommunion reserviert und möchten uns nochmals ganz herzlich für diesen wundervollen Tag bedanken. Der Service war ausgezeichnet unser Kellner war äußerst zuvorkommend und super freundlich, sodass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns auch für die unkomplizierte Aufstockung der Personenzahl. Wir wissen, dass das nicht selbstverständlich ist, und haben uns umso mehr gefreut, dass es möglich gemacht wurde. Ein großes Lob geht natürlich auch an die Küche: Wie immer war das Essen einfach hervorragend und sehr, sehr lecker. Wir können dieses Restaurant von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für alles!

Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Ausgang und bietet ausreichend Parkplätze. Es ist im typisch bayerischen Stil eingerichtet, und die Angestellten tragen ebenfalls bayerische Tracht (Lederhosen und Dirndl). Das Essen ist köstlich und die Portionen sind großzügig. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen. Das Einzige, was uns gestört hat, war, dass nur wenige Gasträume geöffnet waren und die Gäste nach dem Essen gebeten wurden zu gehen. Wir waren überrascht, als drei Damen aufgefordert wurden, zu bezahlen und ihren Tisch zu verlassen, aber wir hätten nicht gedacht, dass uns so etwas passieren würde! Heute war mein Jahrestag mit meinem Partner! Wir wurden buchstäblich nach dem letzten Bissen gebeten, den Tisch zu verlassen! Mein Mann bezahlte die Rechnung plus Trinkgeld (was meiner Meinung nach in dieser Situation unangemessen ist), und wir gingen mit gemischten Gefühlen.

Sind spontan eingekehrt und haben gerade so noch einen freien Tisch bekommen - Reservierung empfohlen. Der Service und auch das Essen waren vorzüglich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Die Speisenauswahl wirkte wenig konsequent und die Portionen waren nicht sättigend. Das Erlebnis entsprach leider nicht dem erwarteten Standard, sodass ich von weiteren Besuchen absehen werde.

Am Ortsrand von Ingolstadt gelegen, doch eine Essensqualität die vielen Häusern in der Innenstadt gut tun würde. Von klassisch bayrischer Kost (z.B. aufgschmolzene Brotsuppe) bis zur Delikatesse (Skrei) vieles dabei ;o)

Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly over the years. The service was inattentive and at times quite curt, argumentative, and loud. The salmon with saffron pasta was partially raw, and there was far too much saffron on the pasta. When asked about it, we were told that the owner always prepares it almost raw and that this will not change. A smaller portion for a sick guest is not available; the owner doesn't do it and doesn't care. Who are we supposed to believe? This is not what service should be like, and these weren't even extreme requests. It's a shame to be driven away like this and leave the restaurant with a bad feeling.

We came on a Friday night, when it almost looked like it was fully booked, but luckily we got a table quickly, and right after that the sweetest waiter came and helped with the menu. The menu was absolutely top class - traditional/local food with lots of food! The place has lots of charm and atmosphere! We will come back again when we are in this area.

A very good, traditional Bavarian restaurant. The sauerbraten is extremely delicious. The grilled dishes are also highly recommended! A real insider tip. Whenever we're in the area, we stop here. One of the best restaurants I've been to, and almost everything is homemade, which you can taste! 😊

The Wirtshaus zum Pauli is a reliable choice for traditional German cuisine. We've been there several times, and each time we've been greeted and served very warmly. The friendly staff was always attentive. The food is delicious and plentiful, and the prices are fair. What more could you want? The ambiance and rustic decor are also perfect. Other guests seem to agree, as the restaurant is always bustling. It's therefore advisable to reserve a table by phone. A large, free parking lot is located directly in front of the building.

We visited the Wirtshaus zum Pauli on an October weekend and were delighted: • 🚗 Easily accessible, large parking lot (though it fills up quickly in the evenings). • 📞 Reservations by phone are recommended, as there is no online booking system. • 🪵 Very rustic atmosphere with lots of wood and charming decorations – typically Bavarian and cozy. 🍷 Drinks like the house wine and pomegranate spritzer were delicious and reasonably priced. • 🍖 Food: Sous vide lamb rump steak with rosemary potatoes and a grilled skewer with vegetables – large portions, very tasty, and absolutely affordable. • 👩‍🍳 Friendly, attentive service; card payments accepted. The only minor drawback: Our clothes smelled slightly of the kitchen after our visit. Overall, however, a highly recommended inn with an authentic atmosphere and good value for money.

Our visit was once again pleasantly satisfying. Good food and generous portions always draw our family to this restaurant. The staff are always very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. We'll gladly return.

The best service I've experienced in a long time. The food was excellent for a group of 22. Gluten-free options were available on the grill menu and were delicious. Children are welcome and lovingly cared for.

I've been a regular at this pub for almost three decades. It's simply an Ingolstadt institution and probably won't be around much longer, so take advantage of it while you can!

The food and other things were good, card distribution could have been quicker but otherwise everything was fine.

We arrived today at 11:00 a.m. to get something to eat. The friendly waitress told us that hot meals wouldn't be served until 11:30 a.m. She suggested asking the manager, who was in the kitchen, if he could cook something then. We heard a loud shout from the kitchen: "No! They could come at 8:00 a.m. and want something to eat." As I said, it was 11:00 a.m. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. The website says: Open from 10:00 a.m. There's no mention of food not being served until 11:30 a.m. I wouldn't recommend putting something like this on your website.

The portions were truly generous! The decorations on the plates were very attractive! Value for money? I think the price is almost too low for this quality and quantity. Service is very attentive, always helpful, and polite—but not intrusive. Cleanliness in every nook and cranny! Conservatory also for smokers, otherwise undercover in front of the door! Heaters everywhere! The ambiance is stylishly rustic, yet understated and tasteful!!!! I'd love to give it 10 stars if possible! Yesterday we ordered a family dinner at the restaurant. The place is very pleasant, but if you sit outside, it's a bit noisy because the restaurant is close to the road. It's better inside. Delicious Bavarian-style food, and the waiter is very friendly. I highly recommend it.

We have been guests for many years, have always been served politely, and the food has been top quality for years, with special requests always fulfilled. During our visit on Wednesday evening, we observed a complaint about the food at the neighboring table (review by M A). The soup was served with the Balkan plate and the guest ignored it for 10 minutes, after which it naturally got cold. The cevapcici with the Balkan plate was supposedly cold and was taken to the kitchen by the waitress. After about 3 minutes, the gentleman was brought a new plate with the explanation that the kitchen had checked and the dish was warm. This was interesting for us, as a friend of ours had the same dish and everything was perfect. The guest then asked the waitress if anyone had put their fingers on the plate. She explained that the chef had taken a part to test it. How else could the chef have verified this claim? When paying, the guest refused to pay for the dish, and the waitress pointed out that, according to the hostess, he had to pay for it. If he has any questions, he can ask the landlady at the bar. We found the manner in which the bartender was being treated very strangely and noticed it right away, whether we wanted to or not. Regarding the noise level, all I can say is that you're sitting in a beer garden next to a two-lane highway.

The worst restaurant experience so far. We came here with the plan to celebrate a baptism and to try out the food before booking the restaurant. We ordered a Balkan plate and a room schnitzel because the dishes from the daily menu we wanted to order were no longer available by 6 p.m. As for the food: the Balkan plate was 80% cold in the middle, except for the fries. The dish was returned to the kitchen with a request for a fresh, warm dish that wasn't just half-heated. The soup bowl was considerably hotter than the soup contents were at room temperature. After a personal conversation with the manager and the chef, there was no leniency, as no plate had been returned to the kitchen since 1964 (according to the chef's own statement). All in all, not recommended. If it were possible to give less than one star, we would. A disgrace.

I visit Wirtshaus Zum Pauli every time I’m in Ingolstadt from America, and it never disappoints! Celebrated my 60th birthday here with a party of eight, and the authentic Bavarian cuisine was exceptional, as always. The service was outstanding, handling our group with ease and warmth. A must-visit for anyone craving a true taste of Bavaria!

Eight of us were there for dinner, and I have to say, everything was fantastic! The atmosphere in the winter garden was great, cozy, and we had a great conversation despite the restaurant being full. The food was really very good, tasty, and fresh. A Cordon Bleu with Limburger cheese is rare, but that's what makes it special: very tender meat; it was one of the best I've ever eaten. I particularly note the extremely friendly and attentive service; that's unfortunately rare these days, keep it up 👍. The only suggestion for improvement would be to add orange to the Aperol instead of three quartered limes, which distorted the flavor of the Aperol and made it too sour. All in all, simply top-notch! We'd be happy to come back. Thank you!

The food is truly delicious. Bavarian, meat-heavy dishes, accompanied by a cool light beer. Just what I needed. But there are plenty of other dishes too. Here, you can still feast like in the old days. The beer garden is a bit noisy. The inn, however, is quiet and cozy.

We used to come to the Wirtshaus zum Pauli quite often; I don't even know why we didn't go anymore. But we went back for a birthday party. The atmosphere was still very nice. The ladies at the service were also very friendly and attentive. The food was very, very tasty. However, it was very, very hot in the porch. The windows couldn't be opened and a hornet kept flying at our table and the windows. That wasn't so funny; some of us left early as a precaution for fear of being stung. We'd be happy to come back even without hornets.

The food was good, but ordering was difficult. The children's orders couldn't be taken early because the kitchen apparently couldn't accommodate them. We were told this several times in a harsh tone.

Okay, I’m officially convinced! Every time I see the servers in traditional German dirndls and lederhosen, I know the food is going to be amazing. I got the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, and it was so flavorful—plus, you definitely get plenty for your money. My husband ordered the steak, and he loved it too; he couldn’t even finish it because there was so much. The restaurant had nice decor, and the service was great as well. I’d definitely recommend it!

Still a good location that also serves Croatian specialties. The prices are reasonable and there are good parking options.

A piece of childhood memory. The food tastes delicious. Dishes just like back then... family-run. Everything is great. The house wine is especially recommended.
