Gasthaus in Schneverdingen

This is a restaurant in a slightly higher price range, so this review is based on higher standards. We sat outside, luckily on chairs, as there are no cushions, making the benches very uncomfortable. I found the selection of dishes to be appropriate and fitting; we opted for the pork fillet baked with hollandaise sauce and the linguini with chicken. There's nothing wrong with the taste of either dish; it was very tasty. Unfortunately, the side dish for the pork fillet was very small, so it wasn't enough to fill you up. I find that a shame given the price, as a few more croquettes certainly wouldn't hurt the restaurant's budget too much. For dessert, we had the Eis Traum (ice cream dream), a chocolate ice cream with a vanilla center. Unfortunately, because it was much more chocolate than vanilla, you couldn't taste any vanilla. A real shame. The staff was very friendly, and the drinks, as well as the food, arrived quickly. So, to summarize: Delicious food in a lovely restaurant (as long as you don't sit on the benches), but for the price, I expect more. Addendum (based on the restaurant owner's response): Regarding the prices: a quick glance at the menus of the many nearby restaurants refutes your statement. It's not that it's "too expensive," but rather that you should expect "more" for the money. Regarding the cushions: The fact that, according to you, no guests complain shows that you're not listening to them. The tables in question did complain about the comfort. Regarding the amount of side dishes: Looking at the photo of the plate I posted, does it give you the impression that it's a filling plate? Given the small amount, that has absolutely nothing to do with individual needs. Following that: I think it's a shame when people try to talk their way out of such, certainly not unfounded, criticism. Saying thank you and thinking about it would have been a better option; then we would certainly have come back and updated the review afterwards. Unfortunately, not only this review, but also other recent, non-5-star reviews contain passive-aggressive responses to the reviewers. Please be assured that no one with a particularly negative attitude or intent on harming you writes such text-based reviews. Things like "then next time I'll personally bring you the beer in 2 minutes" aren't exactly critical. It's a shame, actually. I'm downgrading it to 2 stars for that reason.

I highly recommend the restaurant. We've been there twice now: once during the week and once on the weekend. It was busy both times. Advance reservations are recommended. The food is very, very tasty. We were thrilled. The service was also super friendly. Our dogs were appreciated, so dogs weren't a problem either. We had a very nice chat with the restaurant management. We're already looking forward to our next visit to this wonderful campsite with a charming restaurant. You can hardly find such a restaurant these days. A lot of heart and love has been put into it, and you can tell right away. And the food is freshly cooked 😋 TILL NEXT TIME 👍🙋‍♀️

This was my first time in this area and I immediately found a small, fine restaurant. The food was top-notch, and the service was absolutely unbeatable. The people there are extremely professional. I highly recommend it.

It's actually a nice shop on a great campsite, but if I have to wait 25 minutes for a drink, that's pretty tough for a simple beer. In that time, you drive to Schneverdingen and back; maybe they'll get the beer there too. People are generally annoyed by the wait for drinks, but the food comes pretty quickly.

Today I'm writing my first review because we simply loved it. My wife and I went to eat at the Mohltied restaurant today. It was very busy, but that didn't diminish the quality or service. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions and service were just right. The ladies serving were very friendly and, despite the heat and the high demands, were still in a good mood and smiling. Thank you for the lovely evening. Hats off to what you did today. A great team. There was a short wait, but we are on vacation after all ;)

We visited this restaurant a few years ago and were really looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The ambiance is no longer there; children run around the terrace in their swimsuits, the waiters are on first-name terms (well, maybe that's the norm here), and we had to wait over an hour for two schnitzels and fries. There were four other tables occupied besides us, all of whom arrived later than us but had their food first. After complaining, our food arrived with the comment that it was busy (?), and no apology. The schnitzel was very good, a bit small but OK; the fries were extremely meager (€3.50 extra!), probably a thank you for the complaint, but oh well. All of this for over €60, with two glasses of wine and a bottle of water, was definitely too expensive for the service provided. We probably won't be eating at this restaurant again, which is a shame.

We spontaneously sought out a table here and got one because of the good reviews. And they didn't overpromise: great service, super friendly, attentive, and child-friendly staff, and fantastic food! A perfect end to our vacation! Highly recommended!

We made a special reservation online, noting that someone would be using a wheelchair. When we arrived, we were assigned a table in the middle of the restaurant. When we asked if we could have a different table, we were told that wheelchair users were always seated there, and no one had ever complained. Until now!!! Being seated in the middle of the room felt more like parking than welcoming.

We were there in May 2025, and we have to honestly say, you don't come across such a great restaurant every day. The waitresses were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces 🥰. We didn't have to wait very long for our food, as it wasn't that busy. However, you could hear the meat being prepared in the kitchen while we were eating. (So everything was freshly made! 😁) The food not only looked great, but also tasted fabulous. You could say it was the most delicious fried potatoes I've ever eaten. The dessert was beautifully presented and also delicious. We were absolutely thrilled and would definitely recommend it! 🥰 Little tip: Unfortunately, tipping via card payments wasn't possible when we were there. So if you're planning on doing that, be sure to bring some cash with you 👍

Camping gastronomy is a restaurant instead of the often-seen snack bar. Currywurst and schnitzel are served here with Heidschnucken ragout or regional Heidje Knipp (a dish of the Heidje family). Delicious, friendly, and cozy.

The restaurant at the campsite is definitely worth a visit. The food is regional and very tasty. Very good service. The menu isn't too overloaded, which indicates that the food is freshly prepared. You can also sit comfortably outside by the swimming pond. We really enjoyed it, and if we're ever back at the campground, we'll definitely come back.

We are absolutely thrilled. The waitresses are really nice and take excellent care of their guests. The chef does a fantastic job. Hats off to you, the food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance is fitting for the region. We'd love to come back on our next vacation.

Very, very finely prepared food, roast Heidschnucken and Heidschnucken Bolognese were an experience, but the salmon and pork loin were also fresh and prepared and presented with care.

The staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, cigarette smoke wafted onto the terrace. According to the service worker, this came from the colleagues' break area. We found this unpleasant to have to endure this smell while eating. Supplements must be ordered separately. Price-performance doesn't quite match, I think.

We had to wait a bit, but freshly prepared is freshly prepared, which contributes to shorter waiting times. The fact that we arrived at the same time as other groups certainly took longer to prepare our food. But the wait was worth it, the reward was a very tasty meal and dessert. If we are in the corner again, we will definitely come here again.

The Mohltied restaurant in the Lüneburger Heide camping park is a real recommendation. Regional cuisine and other things, not a huge menu. That's a good thing, because the selection is absolutely sufficient and varied. You can put together the menu and choose side dishes. Simply great and we would love to come back. Dog was allowed in. Uncomplicated reservation and two hours of time.

We were there yesterday with 8 people. The food was delicious, especially the Heidschnucke dishes. But also the schnitzels. Waiting time and service also great! Gladly again at any time.

We were here for the first time during our camping holiday over Easter 2025. With 9 people including kids and they are incredibly excited. Great service, great ambience and excellent food. All portions were very large, the food was well prepared and tasted great. We will definitely come back and give it 5/5 stars 🙏👍

At the start of the camping season we tried out the new Mohltied owners. The food was very tasty, the portion size was right and the service was very attentive. Over the course of the season we will often go out for dinner there or simply enjoy a drink on the terrace.

I was happy that there was a vegan option, but I was given a cream sauce that is not vegan, can happen. Taken by the staff. But no other alternative, dry schnitzel and potato without sauce and a small salad would be included. The salad was just a leaf of lettuce, some grated carrot and half a tomato. You pay extra for the ketchup. Too bad because it is so easy to make this tastier. A larger salad and, for example, fried onion and mushrooms or a sauce based on vegetable cream. In addition, I was charged for a drink that I had not ordered, this was resolved ok. It's nice that there are vegetarian and vegan options, but this could be better. :)

Unfortunately the schnitzel was a finished product, the service was good and the ambience is great. Can't understand the photos of the food in other reviews - the food didn't look like that. Maybe I've had a bad day

Service was there to start with, otherwise we didn't see them at our table anymore. The food is as you would expect at a restaurant. Neither or. They don't carry coca cola on site, which I can be a little used to as I like to enjoy a coca cola when it's warm with my beer. But in the middle of the meal, two couples with their dogs come into the restaurant and order food. Although in my opinion dogs are not welcome in a restaurant, and it is also written on the door that dogs are not welcome in the restaurant. Is nothing said to the two couples who are served food and drink. So I can't give a further good review from here unfortunately

Unfortunately a complete failure. I was immediately treated like a second class guest. I came with my two small children and apparently took a table that was probably reserved. Well, there was no sign on it, but apparently I should have recognized that from the cutlery lying there. The lady who reserved the table kindly gave it to us. Afterwards they tried several times to “disgust us out” because there was now one chair too few. After we got our food and ate at the normal pace, we were basically asked to leave the table. I was then blamed for the whole situation. What can I say: put six!

We made reservations days in advance for 9 people. However, the reservation was incorrectly stored in the system and the table was then reassigned. Since we had confirmation, the error was admitted, but the only solution was to offer fries to go in the pouring rain. Absolute impudence!

We didn't get a reservation until 8 p.m., even though the tables were free from 7 p.m. Unfortunately we didn't get any more schnitzel and fried potatoes and the drinks were served in bottles without glasses. For us a must in the restaurant. We had to pay an extra 50 cents for the mayonnaise in the bag. The currywurst with the homemade sauce was really tasty.

Eins gleich vorweg, das Essen ist spitze ! Die Portionen sehr groß, es scheint alles tatsächlich selbst gekocht zu sein (kein Convinience) und auch lokal bezogen zu sein. So weit alles wirklich gut, ABER: es mag daran gelegen haben, dass es Sonntag ist und somit auch sehr voll, es mag daran liegen, dass die drei Servicekräfte scheinbar zu unerfahren sind. Sie waren jedenfalls vollkommen überfordert, Getränke und zu Teil (am Nachbartisch) komplette Bestellungen verschlampt, wir haben mehrfach an ein Getränk erinnert, nach 35min kam es dann endlich, aber erst nachdem die Bedienung zwischendrin noch einmal fragte was wir denn bestellt hätten. An den anderen Tischen war es nicht besser. Gäste die direkt an die Theke gehen um ihre Getränke selbst abzuholen, etc. Ich mag diesen drei Menschen noch nicht einmal die Schuld an dem Desaster geben, es fehlt halt jemand mit Gastro-Erfahrung hinter der Theke der/die das Ganze mal organisiert. Da sollte der Pächter dringend mal was machen.

Lecker, Lecker , Lecker.... Begrenzte gut sortierte Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken haben wir in dieser Gaststätte gefunden. Gesund und lecker, auch an Vegetarier wird gedacht. Individuelle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder.

Leider nur 3 Sterne... Essen lecker, Portionen für die Preise einfach zu wenig... Sehr unorganisiert dort... Sonst eigentlich sehr schön gemacht da und gemütliche Location aber wir werden dort nicht wieder Speisen...

Sehr gutes kleines Restaurant, in dem viele regionale Produkte angeboten wurden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab nichts zu bemängeln. Der Service war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und schnell. Unseren herzlichen Dank an Leo, Caro, Ivy und den uns leider unbekannten Koch für zwei schöne Abende im Restaurant. Wichtiger Tipp: Unbedingt vorab reservieren!
