Warm and attentive hospitality from start to finish. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us customize the spice levels to our preference, making it a very comfortable experience. The ambiance beautifully reflected Indian culture with its elegant decor and soft instrumental music. It’s a great spot for a relaxed family dinner".

We were a group of four during the week and, before ordering, we indicated that we wanted to use the voucher from our "Schlemmerblock" coupon booklet for Ganesha (two main courses for the price of one), which was accepted. However, during our meal, I noticed that a gentleman at the next table had ordered the same dish as me, but his portion was twice as large. It's as if we were being treated unfairly as customers with a Schlemmerblock voucher. Even after we paid, we didn't receive the complimentary liqueur that the other guests were offered. I therefore wonder why the owner even participates in such a promotional campaign if he then treats such customers less favorably. We will not be returning to this restaurant and will not recommend it.

A truly wonderful evening – highly recommended! We celebrated my birthday at Ganesha and were absolutely thrilled. The food was simply outstanding. I especially recommend the mixed appetizer platter for two and the crispy papadum as a starter. The dishes from the tandoor oven (we had chicken and paneer) were perfectly prepared and tasted fantastic. The value for money is also excellent. The ambiance is great, and the service is incredibly attentive and courteous. There was a very thoughtful surprise for my birthday: the table was decorated with special "Happy Birthday" napkins, and we even received complimentary ice cream. These kinds of gestures make a visit truly special. If you're looking for authentic and warm Indian cuisine in Bad Staffelstein, this is the place to go. We will definitely be back!

We had reserved a table for two by phone yesterday for 7 pm today. When we arrived at 6:50 pm, the waiter, or perhaps even the owner?, was completely stressed out, and a table had to be set first. The reservation had been forgotten! Okay, they could have apologized; they're only human, after all. But the unfriendly service continued. After we received the menu, he immediately asked about drinks. I had a few questions for him, as we hadn't been to an Indian restaurant in years. His immediate response was, "Just order, don't answer any questions." Sorry, but that's unacceptable! It was all new to us, and we just wanted some information about how the different dishes were prepared, since I can't possibly eat everything. A young waitress then took our order. The food arrived very quickly, but there was no explanation of what any of the dishes were. The food itself deserves 5 stars for quality. The service, however, deserves a maximum of 1 star. I had barely finished my last bite when the waiter was already clearing everything away. So, basically, their motto was, "Get out of here quickly so we can serve the next guests." That's all it was! The service was the same as in a fast-food restaurant or a cafeteria. Everything was also very cramped. When I went to pay, they presented the bill to my husband. We're in Germany, not India! They didn't even care when we left. So, we definitely have a different understanding of service. Especially friendliness! We've been to many restaurants in Bad Staffelstein, but we've never experienced anything like this before! On the contrary, we had excellent service and, above all, friendliness! We feel sorry for the food, because it was outstanding, but if I feel out of place and uncomfortable as a guest, then we won't be returning to that restaurant, and we certainly won't be recommending it! What a shame!

A beautifully decorated and very busy Indian restaurant. I've removed people from the photo. Attentive and friendly service. I think the dishes are reasonably priced. We enjoyed the food immensely. The vegetarian dishes are especially recommended. After the meal, there was a small gift from the house. We were extremely satisfied with everything.

The Schlemmerblock (snack-style meal plan) was accepted without any problems – however, the entrance states that it is only valid from Monday to Thursday. This is not stated on mobile vouchers or in the booklet! Furthermore, the manager wanted cash payment because we had the Schlemmerblock (snack-style meal plan). For these reasons, only 4 stars instead of 5. We will go back anyway!

Nice atmosphere, food came quickly. Unfortunately, the taste was only mediocre; the same dish in Erlangen, Coburg, and Bamberg was better than here. There was too little meat, practically just sauce. The rice was plentiful and delicious. I ordered Fanta, but never got it. We had to ask several times to pay. Guests are treated differently; we didn't get a liqueur or drink as a farewell, but the table next to us did. We wanted to take the rest of our food with us, but the meat and rice were packed up. We didn't get the naan bread, even though we had paid for it. Prices: average.

Definitely recommended! Indian food is generally delicious. But here it was truly delicious! The starter was delicious! The crispy, super-seasoned bread is a must-have first, and I can eat it without dips! The main course (lamb in curry sauce with almonds and coconut) was a dream! The meat was super tender. You didn't need a knife! And the sauce was so delicious! Thank goodness there was plenty, so you could eat enough! Again: great value for money! Starter, main course, and a large drink for €24.50. You can't complain at all!!! If I ever come back to Bad Staffelstein, I'd love to come back! The only downside was the outdoor seating. A bare table with a washable tablecloth and no candles, flowers, or anything else. What was cool, though, was that the herbs for Hugo are grown outside in the flower boxes and are absolutely freshly harvested!

We love Indian food and have been to many Indian restaurants: in NYC, LA, Carephilly (Wales), Harwich (South England), Berlin, and Kaufbeuren—to name just a few. In our opinion, the food at this restaurant is top-notch. The use of spices in the sauces for our dishes was exceptionally skillful and balanced. The basmati rice with star anise was fluffy and not overcooked. We were particularly impressed by the sauces for the side salads that accompanied the appetizers.

An absolute insider tip in Bad Staffelstein! The selection of Indian dishes is huge - from starters to main courses and dessert, everything was fresh, aromatic and incredibly tasty. The crowning finale: a perfectly seasoned mango lassi. The service was also attentive and warm, you could tell how much effort the team was putting in. What's particularly nice is that children can also find something on the menu (e.g. fries). We'll definitely be back!

Food is excellent as usual. The service has gone down a lot recently. Yesterday we came up with the idea that the voucher that was purchased in this branch can now only be used for eating on site, but we almost always pick up. This has not been the case before and this has never been communicated in this way before. After a lengthy discussion, insight was shown. Nevertheless: A way of dealing with customers that one is not used to from other Ganesha branches. In addition, you can no longer rely on being reachable on WhatsApp.
