Very cute restaurant with cozy, beautiful furnishings. The food was really good and the people were super, super friendly. One of the best restaurant visits!

It's an absolute disgrace to add just a single slice of flatbread (naan) to a pick-up order for €2.5! Especially considering that two dishes were ordered. This must be made clear to both the operator and the customers!

We are currently on holiday in the region. We stumbled across the Ganesha by chance and can say that it was quite a happy accident. We've had Ganesha dinner two evenings in a row now. The food is really tasty and really nicely presented. The staff is omnipresent and always friendly. The ambience is also quite nice. Small minus point for the somewhat inadequate lighting on the terrace. Everything else is tip top and absolutely recommended!

The food was packed with good packing and good packing quality.i liked the chicken tikka masala very much it was above my expections and delivery person from ganesha was very friendly . Nice Restaurant, and I was impressed, The highlight of my meal was palak paneer, It was absolutely delicious, the spinach was perfectly seasoned, and the paneer was wonderful creamy, the flavours were rich and authentic. reminding me some of the best Indian food I had. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the dinning experience even better. If you are fan of indian cuisine or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend to go there and exploring more of their menu.

Very tasty food, very short waiting times and super friendly service!

We drove from Bamberg to Staffelstein to try out the highly praised Ganesha. However, I didn't like it at all. Personally, the food was just average for me. The staff, with the exception of one female, were friendly and the ambience was fine, but unfortunately the mood-appropriate music was loudly interrupted by regular noise. As the saying goes, the eye eats and the eye didn't like it except for the fried mushrooms. I'll test it again in the future but until then I'll stick with my opinion. My companion felt the same way as me. You still have to know for yourself.

I was there for the first time. It is very nicely decorated. It used to be a German inn. But whatever. The service was very accommodating. The food tasted great. It also combs pretty quickly. Well visited. Well, the Pils on tap at 4.30 euros I really enjoyed it. 🙃 You can also sit outside. Anytime again. 👍🏻👍🏻

Delicious food, very large portions. When it comes to the taste of the dishes, we haven't been to India, but if their dishes taste like this, it's great. We recommend and we will definitely come back :-)

Great restaurant, staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious. There is a lot of choice on the menu so that everyone will be happy, both vegetarians/vegans and meat eaters. Before the meal there is a small appetizer on the house and during the meal there is enough rice to fill everyone up. At the end there is a mango schnapps, again on the house. Food is very inexpensive, but unfortunately the drinks are a bit expensive for the quantity. We are always happy to have eaten with Ganesha in the evening and are already looking forward to the next time :)

Totally nice service, while waiting for takeaway food I was given a small mango lassi and a naan and Indian chips to go with my meal! The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The banana cashew chicken is absolutely delicious. Thank you very much, keep it up!

The mixed starter platter was great, but the main one was unfortunately very thick and had little meat. The rice and the naan bread, on the other hand, were great but unfortunately the service was very poor.

I was there for dinner with 3 friends a few days ago and I would almost say this is one of the best restaurants in Bad Staffelstein. The food was very, very tasty. At first glance the prices seemed a bit expensive, but the portions were very large and we were Everyone was very full and had to take half of them with them. The service was very friendly and we were even given something to drink on the house. We will definitely come back, highly recommended!

In one sentence: one of the best Indian restaurants I have found in the last 20 years. I'm originally from England and we love Indian food there. There is at least one on every major street in England. Unfortunately, in Germany it's much harder to find a really good Indian restaurant, and after living here for almost 20 years, I thought that there was no real chance of enjoying truly authentic Indian food without paying insane big city prices ( and no, I don't think currywurst is even remotely a good example of Indian cuisine! ..... It was only by chance that my friend and I discovered the Ganesha restaurant in the center of Bad Staffelestein. I searched on the internet and saw, that there was an Indian restaurant nearby. I was a bit worried that even the local taxi driver hadn't heard of it until he said that he had never tried "any foreign food". We entered a beautifully decorated, small and extremely friendly restaurant and were immediately greeted like guests of honor. The food was stunningly presented and bursting with freshness that couldn't be mistaken. I chose the Chicken Vindaloo, which would probably be too spicy for the normal German appetite, but there were also much milder options. I recommend this restaurant and its staff to all lovers of fresh and authentic Indian cuisine, food critics and anyone who just wants to be treated like royalty and family friends (at the same time). There's a good chance of meeting me there, because I'm sure I'll be back soon, and often.

And again the desire for Indian food came and we decided on the Ganesha in Bad Staffelstein. As almost always, we set off spontaneously and with a bit of luck got a table. We were warmly greeted and served straight away. With the drinks we also got delicious lentil bread with 3 different dips to stimulate our appetite. The ambience has a nice Indian touch. Eyes, ears and nose were pampered with Indian charms. The starter as well as the main course were very tasty, plentiful, hot and very fresh. Unfortunately, we were already so full that there was no more dessert and we would have liked to try the mango cream. We were then offered a delicious mango schnapps to go with the bill and we had a successful evening. Despite the many guests, the staff was very friendly and there for us as much as possible. We felt in good hands. It was very nice at Ganesha and we will happily come back.

A really nice restaurant with a great ambience and very good food. A large selection of different dishes, meat, fish and vegetarian. The dishes arrive fresh on the table and impress with their taste and appearance. The prices were good and the portions were really big. The waiters were very friendly. We were completely satisfied.

Super delicious Indian food! As a starter you get papadam (lentil bread) with 3 dips and, with many dishes, naan bread. You can choose the level of spiciness for each dish (mild, hot, very hot). Instead of schnapps I was given a mango lassi... commendable and totally delicious. Price performance is top. Sufficient space and good service. We can only recommend it 😊

Everything ok, nothing to complain about

Unfortunately the food overall wasn't as good as I had hoped! Desserts (grilled bananas just weren't mushy!) and mango cream was a children's portion and all for 4.50 euros each! The place is completely overseated, everything is way too cramped, there's almost no way to get up without several people having to get up! Steep stairs to the basement to the toilet! Mini wardrobe, all in all not cozy and relaxing evening! Had better Indian food!

We were there for dinner and were warmly welcomed. We ate duck and lamb and both were delicious. The restaurant is cozy and decorated with Indian pictures. Overall, a lovely evening!

Very good Indian food. A huge menu… there could be less to choose from. You can hardly decide. The food came quickly and was hot, tasty and very appealing. The starter was thin lentil bread with dips. Unfortunately, language comprehension was a bit poor. Since Indian food is basically flourless, it wasn't a problem to eat gluten-free.

The food was ok, as I often eat Indian food I was a bit disappointed. A no-go was the layout of the space, 1-2 tables less and you would have space with your neighbors and feel more comfortable. Well, it was worth a try.

Typical Indian restaurant with good selection. Didn't disappoint!

Sehr leckeres Essen nach original indischer Art. Habe am Freitagabend mit einer Freundin zusammen Essen bestellt. Nach 20 Minuten konnten wir unsere Bestellung bereits abholen. Für den Weg nach Hause gab es einen Mango Lassi gratis dazu. Wir waren vom Essen sehr begeistert. Gut gewürzt, warm und sicher verpackt. Beim Abholen konnten wir uns auch ein Bild vom Ambiente machen. Es sieht wirklich sehr einladend und gemütlich aus.

Wir waren zum 1. Mal hier essen, alles war super frisch und sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind reichlich und es gibt viele vegetarische und vegane Optionen. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam, zum Abschluss gab es sogar einen Mangoschnaps 😊

Das Essen ist wunderbar, abwechslungsreich und ich freue mich aufs nächste Mal. Schade dass die Toiletten nicht rollstuhlgerecht sind.

Essen war lecker, es war aber sehr wenig Fleisch drin Beim raus geben vom Essen wurden die Speisen vertauscht (zum Glück gehörte die 2 Person zu mir/Freundin) (einzeln bestellt und einzeln bezahlt) Kein gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis da echt wenig Fleisch drin war, wenn sich das bessern würde wäre es okay.

Eine tolles indisch geprägtes Ambiente in einem alten Landgasthaus in Bad Staffelstein. Besuch am 20.10.2023, eine Reservierung ist am Wochenende zu empfehlen. Die Einrichtung war bunt, warm und hat ein tolles Ambiente aufgezeigt. Der Service war nett und in Ordnung, aber so richtig rund läuft es derzeit noch nicht. Die Speisekarte ist wie im Ganesha gewohnt umfangreich und vielfältig. Die Speisen waren geschmacklich gut, von der Geschmacksvielfalt Indiens aber eher sehr deutsch angepasst. Da zeigt das Ganesha in Kulmbach im Vergleich mehr Authentizität. Im Resultat, ein schöner Abend mit Atmosphäre, beim Service und der Küche zeigt das junge Restaurant noch Potential. Aus diesem Grund vier von fünf Sternen, aber wir kommen wieder.
